We had about three inches of snow but it has now stopped. It was warm enough the past few days that the snow melted where it hit pavement.
DR ChasSmith, you are right: learning Finale is a bitch and this old dog is not learning the tricks fast enough. The one thing i've learned is that a lot of these young computer wiz kids are good at using it but completely incompetent about finessing the product into art. I believe that printed music should be as attractive to the eye as it is to the ear, and I see too many pieces of music and band parts that look like complete crap. Some of what's being printed by publishers these days is an insult to the engravers who produced art on the page 100 years ago.

Yes!! The grass and trees and branches have a complete midwinter style covering, but nothing -- I repeat, NOTHING -- stuck to any part of the driveway.

. Hell, some of the music that I haven't been able to make myself get rid of is partially due to its pure physical beauty.
Monday morning greetings! Richard and I are taking it easy today because the older we get the harder those Lima Sundays become. His "retirement" can't come soon enough...

No new glasses yet, but I have my meds for April and I've had a great therapy session involving deep hear massage, thigh massage, hamstring, calf, and rectus femoris stretching. So far, the day's gone well.
DR VIXMOM got the Christmas tree down!

Oh good. I worry about those long Sunday, way too early, long drives.

A banner day! But honestly, she could have waited a little longer, enjoyed having the Easter eggs on it, and then it would have been all ready to receive the Fourth of July decorations.
Retirement vibes for RICHARD.
My sister Paula is retiring on Thursday from the dental office where she has worked for many years. Her husband retired EARLY, but insisted she work longer......hmmmmm.....but now she is almost FREE!!!!

Thanks, DR Jane. This commitment not only takes up our Sundays, but we don't do much on Saturday evenings beforehand and we're pretty useless on the following Mondays. Richard will be there Thursday-Sunday this weekend, but I'm staying home to cat-sit and prepare a nice Easter Sunday dinner for all of us.

Cat-sitting, a perfect reason to stay home :)

I'm a little nervous about being on my own with her for 48 hours or so. Just this morning I had to clean up a little cat barf - for the first time in my life...
DR Druxy your play sounds inreresting. When I think of the two actors I think of one brilliant actor and am gratefull the other one turned down Casablanca.

He also turned down DEAD END, HIGH SIERRA, THE MALTESE FALCON and DOUBLE INDEMNITY.
Robinson was "an actor"; Raft was "a presence," but he was a nice man. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but a nice man.
There are tons of restrictions here, yet it was apparently ok for a neighbor to leave her outdoor Christmas tree lit for months. It really bothered Keith as the lights were on all day. It is a live potted tree, they just needed to turn it off. How hard could that have been-lol

I am one who really does not like to see indoor Christmas still up by the first week of January. And I don't like outside lights to stay on past the end of January. But i am pretty sure that i've seen a few people with outdoor lights still on. Sorry people it is the end of January. Turn your Christmas lights off!

Time to prepare for departure.
Choreographers are fun to meet with.
I won't tap, don't ask me!
A tax-office day today!
Still very much enjoying the notes, BK!
I found out today that amazon.com now has its own delivery system. I saw the truck with the amazon "A" just as I pulled in from work. I had a feeling the driver had a package for me so I asked him if was looking for my building. He said yes so I showed him my ID and he gave me the package.
I shall shortly be on my way to The Federal.

We spent the weekend binge-watching the final season of Downton Abbey. We just have the last two-hour episode to go.

I finally called fitbit and set it up. The original download was hiding in my computer which is why it wouldn't accept any new downloads.
You're right, Vixmom, I was never a teenage girl. And I think it's too late to become one.

Good to see you back, Cillaliz.

I have often threatened to leave the tree up all year and just change the decorations - snowflakes in January, hearts in February, shamrocks in March, etc. DR Vixmom is not far behind us this year - our tree just went back to the basement last week. The ornaments had been removed in January, though.
Watching a creaky old melodrama called "Adam Had Four Sons" with Warner Baxter and Ingrid Bergman. Had never heard of it. It's part of a multi-flick Colombia package.

My new Galaxy S7 tracks all the same things a fit bit does. At least I think it does. I'm not sure I like knowing how many steps I take a day, lol. I may have to turn that app off
And congratulations on your new position!
Finishing the evening with Judy Holliday and Jack Lemmon in It Should Happen to You.
Charming little movie.
He has been complaining about how tired he has been.

He might feel too tired to respond, if he is checking his messges.
