Well, you've read the notes, the notes were choreographed, and now it is time for you to post until the choreographed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PECUNIARY!
-
To continue from yesterday...if anyone is interested, THIS (http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/g5#G5Modularity) is the new phone I'm getting. :)
-
Our set and lighting guy for Pure Imagination died two days ago. Didn't know him well, but he was a nice chap and way too young.

I think you will enjoy your new phone and camera very much. Congratulations.

This is sad even if he wasn't a friend.

good morning to all
-
'morning.
-
Good morning, all.
My coffee IV! Stat!
-
Just back from voting. I found the process (a two-step process, first you write down your choice, then you carry your ballot to a scanner in a different part of the room) rather confusing.
-
A VERY strange and different kind of dream, involving stuff that - for a change - had no relation to anything in my actual life. But I was really into it and kept falling back into it through my ordinary waking up time. I was so groggy with it that I felt like I'd slept in rather late and even thought it was a weekend. Oy!
Amusingly, or not, in one of the last scenes I was asking this person whose house I was in if they had some more coffee, preferably something really strong and full bodied.

Agree. It's amazing how jarring news of the death of someone you knew in some context, even while not being a "relationship", can be. Not to mention, I am so tired of people dying. It should just stop. Now.
-
Sorry to hear about continued leg pains for DR Elmore!

Happy Post-Tax Season Day, DR FJL!

The Pony, The Jerk, The Mashed Potato, some line dances I don't know the names of .....
And of course Pan's People, although they are more 70's.

Good morning, all! Sometime after 3:15, I fell asleep. The alarm rang at 6:30 ad I went back to bed. I feel quite drugged and lethargic, but I am up at moving about.
-
Laundry first, then voting.
-
I am loving the rehearsal notes.
-
Last night I had a strange occurrence. I awoke around midnight to the intense smell of a fire. As soon as I was ready to get dressed and flee the building, the smell was gone. This has happened several times now while I'm sleeping, and I don;t know if it's an odor drifting in the window, if it's a dream, if I once died in a fire, or if the buidling once suffered a conflagration.
There have been a couple of times as well when I've walked into the hallway of my floor and had the same experience.

Good morning, all.

I can mash potato, I can do the twist, well now tell me, baby, do you like it like this?

Probably a fire on the premises in the past DR ELMORE.

Probably a fire on the premises in the past DR ELMORE.
I suspected that. Thanks! I have lived through two bad fires in 1971 and 1973, and i have no wish to go through another.

It's Tuesday in Oakland CA.

What day of the week is it where YOU are?

Don't ask!

Nice new phone DR GEORGE.
I think it's Tuesday here.....our Wednesday Little Women rehearsal was canceled, so I am in tonight for more vocal work....then I think I have a few more days off!
-
Just back from voting. I found the process (a two-step process, first you write down your choice, then you carry your ballot to a scanner in a different part of the room) rather confusing.
Odd.

That would do it, IMHO.

Bernie? Hillary? Hillary? Bernie? I didn't decide till I got to the polls.
-
RIP Doris Roberts (http://variety.com/2016/film/news/doris-roberts-dead-everybody-loves-raymond-1201756046/).
-
I feel it is my civic duty to inform you good people that gas prices, which had reached a low of $1.75 at Costco and BJ's just over a month ago, have swiftly and steadily risen to $2.09 as of yesterday afternoon.
-
I ran into lighting designer Ken Billington at the polls and we had a nice visit. We were talking about outrageous rents in Manhattan and how we've lived in the same space for over 35 years. He says 1-bedroom apartments in his 79th Street building are going for $6000 a month!

Could you ask any of your neighbors if they are smelling anything?

Good morning!

It is Saturday!
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I was up and out early to have coffee at Starbucks with my friend Becky. We sat on the patio and had a delightful visit.
-
They have high wind warnings posted on all of the doors today.
-
I don't know, there seems to be a lot of blowhards inside as well.
-
I think I need to take a muscle relaxer. My leg is twitching.
-
Hopefully my cabin has been made up this morning / afternoon.
-
Later, folks.
-
I don't know, there seems to be a lot of blowhards inside as well.

When they post employees at the door to prevent you from going outside is when you need to worry ;)
-
Not that I want to go outsider of a door that is posted high winds.
-
DR Elmore, let's hope that what you're smelling isn't the smell of hypocrisy!
-
They have high wind warnings posted on all of the doors today.
If you venture out, make sure you use your seat belt!!!
-
What day of the week is it where YOU are?
Don't ask!
Too late! Too late!!
-
I'm up, and have been up since 8:30 albeit in bed. We've had quiet mornings for the last few days, but this morning was back to hammering and noise, which has now stopped of course.
-
DR Elmore, let's hope that what you're smelling isn't the smell of hypocrisy!
No, I know what that smells like and it isn't burning wood.
-

-
Will shortly be on my way to have some food and then rehearsal. Yet more changes coming to act two - I have an order that I think works really well, but then reality sets in - the big 60s dance number happens right before the Black Dahlia song and the girl who does that song is one of the best dancers we have - so she can absolutely not do those two things back to back. So, I have to move the dance number and the only place to move it is earlier, which means I have to find something to flip with it.
-
Chow! No, I know thatisn't how you spell the greeting in Italian. Chow stands or dinner in the high-priced restaurant tonight.
-
Mein.

Larry, do you have smoke detectors in your place? I would think that if they're not going off, you might (mind you, I said "might") question the smell and not assume that a fire is really happening.
I know I can't trust my sense of smell. :-\

Yikes!! :o That's more than I make in a month...before taxes, even!

Unlike the other ships I have traveled, this restaurant is listed as alacarte, rather than a flat fee for dining. I have a credit, so it won't be costing me anything, but I doubt I will dine here a second time.
-
It is bad enough to pay for your steak based on the cut, but $2.00 extra for a baked potato?
-
Yes, I know that is what ala carte means, but onboard a ship it seems cheap.
-
What day of the week is it where YOU are?
It is Saturday!
Which reminds me of this quote from Downton Abbey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhfpBW-nUWk) (which I never actually watched):

I assume we are heading north off the coast of the U.S., because we are experiencing rollers which makes for an uncomfortable day at sea.
-
Ahoy, there, DR TCB!
-
Richard, Rob, and I have worked all afternoon, removing the storm windows, installing the screens, and vacuuming the window wells. Aaaah, the house breathes!
-
Of course, now we'll probably have a cold snap...
-
DR George, I have both a carbon monoxide and a smoke detector in my apartment.
-
DR Elmore, I had a nice phone chat with your Miami-Hamilton friend LaDonna this afternoon.
-
So I shall be "Off to Massachusetts" as they sing in Little Women......
-
Ahoy, Ginny!
-
I think I would rather go to bed, rather than go to dinner, but such are the obligations of the cruising set!
-

I'm wondering if it's a Boaty McBoat lookalike!
-
Less than 2 hours till quittin' time!
-
Have gotten my DorisDay-Rock Hudson blu ray set.
-
Have also gotten the recent "And Then There Were None" on blu ray.
-
I got the Blu ray of Hitchcock's "Suspicion" yesterday.
-
Interesting afternoon: some Victor Herbert requests, the Library of Congress frustration continues, and I managed to help my friend fighting cancer make some money..

I cannot complain of having nothing to watch, that's for sure!

Tomorrow I am ordering a new Region-free Blu-Ray DVD player!

Today, is of course, PRIMARY DAY IN NYS
Unfortunately, I am not voting because I do not want to vote for either of the candidates of the party I am affiliated with.
I didn't realize that in NYS I would have to change parties 6 months before if I wanted to vote in the primary'
I think they should notify the public about this because I do not think most people realize this.
This could make a big difference in the outcome of the primaries.

I would not like that and probably why I have not cruised to Hawaii from L.A.

We have changed our registration for voting in the primaries. Usually there is something in the paper regarding the deadline for registering.

Six months before?? Yikes! That's unreasonable!

Especially if this link , to all the states, is correct and you can register 20 days prior to the election.

Hello, everyone.
-
Hello!
-
Just back from voting. I found the process (a two-step process, first you write down your choice, then you carry your ballot to a scanner in a different part of the room) rather confusing.
It was the same way here in Virginia, FJL.
-
Today was Thai Torture #9. We worked on my ribs, which we hadnt done before. I wasn't even sure Daniel could--or would--do that. He feels I'm standing straighter now. I suspect he's right. It's subtle, but surely all that pain results in some progress.
I always feel like I've been hit by a truck when I leave there. We've had very high tree pollen all week, so I got the double whammy.
-
Hi, Kevin.
-
Here's hoping the seas calm down, TCB!
-
Hi, Jeanne!
-
George, I hope you're happy with your new phone. I wasn't happy with the first smartphone I bought, but T-Mobile was very good about taking it back. I appreciated that aspect of their customer service.
-
TCB, I find it curious that you sailed from Tampa, rather than Ft Lauderdale. Surely it adds another day or so of sea time. I like sea time, but not everyone does.
-
I'm glad you're able to post and keep us updated. I don't see any cruises to Denmark in my near future, so I'll be enjoying your trip vicariously.
-
Vibes to all who need them, including TCB's friend Sandy and Larry's friend.
-

I couldn't agree more.

Chow! No, I know thatisn't how you spell the greeting in Italian. Chow stands or dinner in the high-priced restaurant tonight.
Did your travel agent gift you the meal?
No the cruise company offered four different "incentives" for booking this cruise. The $50.00 dining credit was one of them.
-

Thanks, Jeanne! Verizon has a 14-day return policy, so I'll start checking it out as soon as I get it, which should be Thursday!
-
Yes, I know that is what ala carte means, but onboard a ship it seems cheap.
I agree. One of the attractions of a cruise is that's is usually all-inclusive. So nice to sit down to a dinner menu and NOT look at prices! Are all meals ala carte or just at this one restaurant?

One of the things that drove me nuts was the touchpad. I'd type in a phone number and then notice that the number that registered wasn't even close to what I'd been trying to type. The iPhone's touchpad is much, much, much better. It seems to learn from my touch--and very quickly. I think they wrote in a little artificial intelligence. The touchpad is one of the things I'd check out.

Were bookings a bit slow? I've never heard of incentives, but there are a lot more cruise ships now and I did hear that the market was oversaturated.
-

That was the point. Norwegian always does a 14 day repositioning cruise to change from the Caribbean cruises to their Europe cruises. In the past, the first leg of the cruise was to the Azores, but this year they offered the stop in Bermuda. But to make it a four day cruise to Bermuda, they needed to sail from Tampa.

The Norwegian Star
Keith said Norwegian. When I looked up their restaurants only the Sushi ones were ala carte and the others were $20 or $25, standard for the specialty restaurants on these cruises.

Thanks, Jane.

Incentives seem to be more common these days.
Inclusive means drinks are also included, as are the specialty restaurants. Many of the standard lines have specialty restaurants for a flat rate. The price is less than a fancy restaurant at home and a change of pace from the main dining areas. You just have to pay extra for them.

OK, I took it that she thought the entire dining experience was all inclusive.

It was, except for alcohol on our first Princess cruise years ago.

It's not a privilege, it's a RIGHT!

What time do the polls close in New York?
-
Keith has an app on his phone that tracks the distance on our walks. It always says he went farther than I did on my fitbit. Today, using the mile markers on the walking path, we determined my fitbit cheats me out of a bit more than one tenth from each mile. It may not seem like that much until you add it to the 10 miles fitbit says I walked today.

Ken's steak was overcooked and it took so long to get a new steak that I had already finished my meal when he got his steak. So the waitress only charged me for the steak, and none of the extra items such as potato and dessert.

Trump has been declared the winner with no votes counted (per CNN).

It has been nice being in the eastern time zone these last four days, but I am now moving out of there. As of midnight, we move another time zone east. This makes us an hour ahead of the east coast. Sorry about that.
-
I guess this puts us in the Bermuda time zone.

Better known as Triangle Time.

So, I have been having some problems with Outlook Express on my computer and went to YouTube to see if I can find any information. One of the video choices was on how to uninstall Outlook Express (it wasn't what I was looking for, but that's where I started). One of the up next/suggestions on the right side of the screen (including suggestions based on my previous viewing habits) was "A Weekend In The Country - Sondheim : A Celebration At Carnegie Hall (1992) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwNbW7_aF_E)," which led to the suggestion of "A WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY - A Little Night M [BDWY RVIVAL] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPVaNQCQYtI)."
-
That had a suggestion of A Little Night Music - 1991 LA Cast - Glynis Johns, John McMartin - A Weekend in the Country (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkZu-prtq4E). I started to actually watch that because of Glynis Johns was playing Madame Armfeldt, John McMartin was Egerman, and Lois Nettleton was Desiree, but guess who was playing Anne? BK's very own close and personal friend, the (sadly late) Michelle Nicastro! Who knew? The video has some audio issues, but the sound itself is otherwise pretty good for being recorded from the audience.

Good evening!

Hello, Tom!
-
I took a nap for a couple hours (I needed to charge my iPad), and now I am wide awake.
-
How are you doing, George?
-
We need to get off this page.
-
That should be easy for the two of us.
-
Or the one of us.
-
CRANBERRIES!

UNDERPANTS
-
How are you doing, George?
I'm doing okay, but my main e-mail address is kind of screwed up. I'm trying to find a fix for it.

What is it doing, or not doing?

I logged into Outlook Express for my most used (and main identity) e-mail, and last night it was empty! It was as if I had a brand new computer and NO e-mail account had been set up! HOWEVER, the actual e-mail files are all where they're supposed to be on my C-drive, but Outlook Express can't read them, for some reason.

That is very weird.

Very...and I really HOPE that it's not some corrupted file that preventing Outlook Express from reading my e-mails. :-\

Have you installed any updates in the last few days?
-
Sorry, George, but it is almost 3:30 a.m. I need to crash. I wish I had some ideas for you.
-
Good luck!

Good night.
