Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written and done, and now it is time for you to post until the written and done cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: QUAFF!
-
First post after BK!
-
And a happy haineshisway.come Mother's Day, to all you mothers out there in the dark.
-
Is there a movie, or movies, that you traditionally watch every Mother's Day?
-
And a happy haineshisway.come Mother's Day, to all you mothers out there in the dark.
Thank you.
-
Is there a movie, or movies, that you traditionally watch every Mother's Day?
Nope. I try to watch a feel good movie. I don't think we have one xrecorded. We might go see Jungle Book.
-
Good health vibes to Bruce, Ryacko, and the entire cast.
-

The Bad Seed

Good Morning to All
-
Good morning, all.
-
Mommie Dearest ?
-
Today I am visiting a couple of mothers.
-
After which I shall be on my way to Beautiful SW Ohio.
-
I'm happy to hear about the actor being shown the door, and sorry to hear the removal of the neon scene is causing havoc. Vibes for a quick resolution.
-
And with that I must be off. The IHOP next door seems to be calling my name.
-
And it would be so rude not to respond in some kind way.
-
Happy Mother's Day!
-
Thanks to DR VIXMOM, DR JOHN G, and DR CILLA LIZ for the condolences. Most appreciated.
That was a lovely boombox story DR JOHN G.
Pancake and travel vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
Offstage drama is always disconcerting.....
"Not my pants!" I have heard that excuse many times on COPS!
-
Day Off Vibes to MR BK.
-
Which reminds me of Catherine the Great's schedule:
Monday: Varnoff
Tuesday: Kolakoff
Wednesday: Baranoff
Thursday: Mellanoff
Friday: Ivanoff
Saturday: Day Off
-
Today I shall be working a bit on the last BIG number I am choreographing for Little Women....and maybe work on my song awhile.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I got around 10 hours of sleep last night and I really needed that. After this last busy week and yesterday's brain-frying job, I needed a quiet by-myself day.
-
And Happy Mother's Day to the mothers on this site.
My mother was an attractive lady who suffered from being her mother's least favorite daughter of five. She was a year older than her mother's favorite, my mother's youngest sister Lois. This need for her mother's approval, piled on with growing up poor in the Great Depression, having every adolescent dream crushed by poverty led to a lot of regrets and anger that made her an unhappy lady. She was a black emotional hole, demanding everyone's attention and affection but returning it only conditionally.
My father, who came from a broken home and - perhaps unwisely - would not let it happen to his family, suffered from her realization that she'd married for all the wrong reasons, and my brothers and I suffered from her passive-aggressive patterns of child rearing. I loved my mother, but I cannot say that I miss her.
-
So, enough sentimentality!
-
I need to tidy a bit, then work on this Appalachian piece.
-
And think about breakfast.
-
Thirty minutes later, and still thinking about breakfast!
I need to put on my shoes and go to market.
-
Happy mothers Day to all our HHW Moms
-
What's for lunch?
-
The men at the church cook and serve a breakfast to moms and their kids on Mother's Day ...men who don't cook have to pay $5 for their meal
-
Today's menu fresh fruit, pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes , blueberry pancakes (my choice)' scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. And cake and coffee
-
Hello, Vixmom. Hello, everyone else.
-
I just washed my hair. Perhaps I'll quaff it a bit differently today.
(Some very stupid AI is saying that I spelled "hair" incorrectly. What?!)
-
Every time Bruce does a show I'm struck by how little rehearsal time there is. This may be customary, but it just doesn't seem like enough time to me.
-
Happy Mother's Day to all.
-
Was the problem actor the same one who was coming from Fullerton?
-
Off to dry my hair.
TTFN.
-
Yes, Jeanne, the same actor.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of glorious sleep.
-
And now - to relax.
-
I just washed my hair. Perhaps I'll quaff it a bit differently today.
(Some very stupid AI is saying that I spelled "hair" incorrectly. What?!)
Maybe the AI thinks you washed your rabbit
-
A Very Happy Mother's Day to All the Mothers and Mothers-by-Proxy!!
-
Is there a movie, or movies, that you traditionally watch every Mother's Day?
Not I.
-
Good health vibes to Bruce, Ryacko, and the entire cast.
~~~Ditto!!~~~
-
The Bad Seed
:))
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! I sent Fr. Richard to Lima today and stayed behind to attend Mother's Day church with Rob and Mary Linda. Rob arrived home from working midnight-8am with a lovely bouquet of flowers for me. After church he and ML took me to lunch at Panera, which was very nice.
-
The Bad Seed
:))
I just finished watching the last 2 episodes of Season 3 of Boardwalk Empire. One character has her grandson taken away from her and another terminates a pregnancy. How's that for festive Mother's Day entertainment?
-
Our big family celebration of Mother's Day will be Tuesday evening when we go to Cincinnati's Music Hall to see Mary Chapin Carpenter perform with the symphony/pops. Seeing her live has been on my bucket list for years! And it's the last event in Music Hall before it closes for major renovations.
-
Well, I'm off to Costco for some concessions for tonight's performance of "Seven Ways to Get There," then to my parents' house for Mother's Day, then we have the last show of our first weekend.
Have a good day, all!
Having a favorite is something I don't understand. At times I might have enjoyed one child over the other, but to love one more-never.
My lovely bouquet from Bryan.
-
First we had a long video chat with Bryan.
-
Then we had a long video chat with Craig.
-
Then we went for a 5 mile walk, at a more leisurely pace than usual. We stopped at Savona's, the coffee cafe we like. I had meant to call, expecting them to have the marionberry pudding cake I like, to save me a piece of cake. I was in luck, they had one piece left.
-
Happy Mother's Day, all.
-
I've been called a mother in the past, but there are usually a couple more syllables added to the word.
:)
-
Three!
-
Page three. Really?
-
There's no traditional Mother's Day movie I watch. Tonight's selection will likely be Catch My Soul, a rock opera version of Othello set in Santa Fe.
-
It's raining here and windy.
-
But the crepe myrtle is in bloom with nice lilac-colored flowers and the love vine is ablaze in orange and red. The backyard is not in great shape, but it's looking better than it has in a long time.
-
The fig tree's output might even be greater than last year's, which was a record.
-
I have to do laundry today on top of everything else. And all I want to do is nap.
-
No rest for the weary.
-
Any other aphorisms you want to throw out?
-
I'm back from Mother's Day dinner with my friends.
-
But the crepe myrtle is in bloom with nice lilac-colored flowers and the love vine is ablaze in orange and red. The backyard is not in great shape, but it's looking better than it has in a long time.
It sounds pretty.
-
Back from a nice lunch at Hugo's - I've also written a set of liner notes for our next release.
-
Mother's Day is usually crowded at restaurants. How was Hugo's?
-
Since Keith purchased a Samsung Galaxy Edge, Bryan sent him a virtual reality headset for it.
You clip the phone to the headset, put the headset on, and then play games. It is simply amazing.
Today Bryan mentioned they have short clips for viewing and that I don't need to play a game. I watched a 2 minute Jurassic Park show.
-
This is the headset. You can see the gold phone attached.
-
You look up, down, sideways, backwards, however you turn there is a different view. Jurassic Park wasn't anywhere near as cool as Keith's sci fi game.
-
I've spent the day writing, and I think I got some nice work accomplished. Now i am off to bed.
-
That's great Jane - you are the Jetsons!!!
-
;D
-
Don't get motion-sick, DR Jane!
-
LOL DR Ginny. It wasn't bad and I sat in a chair so as not to get dizzy. After slowly spinning the chair around a few times I was pleased to see I knew which way I was facing when I took the head gear off.
That's pretty cool, Jane! Enjoy it!
-
Happy Mother's Day to all our HHW Mom's, here or lurking, come and gone, etc.
-
Dinner at my parents' was nice. We had pannini sandwiches and they were veey good.
-
Took mom out to lunch with my brother and niece - it was a great afternoon
-
I'm at the theater and we don't know how many people will be here.
-
I think we have at least a couple of comps being used, but who knows how many paying audience will actually show up.
-
The house is open. :)
-
I figured I was safe at Hugo's at three-thirty but alas it was jammed and I had to wait for about ten minutes. An hour later when I left there were about thirty people out front waiting.
-
Good evening!
-
Four
-
This does not look good!
-
And we're off!
-
Dinner at moms was successful
-
I think we have at least a couple of comps being used, but who knows how many paying audience will actually show up.
We have 12 people in the audience...that's pretty good for one of our Sunday evening shows!
-
Tried to go to a seafood restaurant at around 3:30 p.m. but the parking lot was filled to overflowing, so I tried T.G.I. Friday's because all I wanted was a salad. There was no one there.
-
The menu was a ham, oven roasted new potatoes, yam casserole , made with brown sugar, butter and a dash of vanilla., peas, turnips and crescent rolls.
-
Finished "Catch My Soul." Very strange artifact of the 1970s. Richie Havens makes a great Othello, Lance LeGault is a devilish Iago. But Season Hubley is almost a big zero.
Some of the music is good, some is really bad.
-
Mom provided the appetizers hot crab dip and shrimp with cocktail sauce
-
It was a small gathering, just vixnana, Vixdad, the Vixter, my mom's neighbor and one of my dad's former aides
-
I had cheese and crackers.
-
Dessert was provided by the aide... Sara Lee fudge stripe cake
-
Because everybody doesn't like something but nobody doesn't like Sara Lee
-
I bet you sang that in your head
-
Oh and some people had some kalhua and whipped cream in their coffee
-
Ok it was the aide
-
And me
-
I just heard that one person in New Jersey just was the siole winner of the 462 million jackpot
-
Has anyone heard from Dan the Man?
-
I didn't even know there was big lotto win waiting out there and I missed playing
-
I am sorry your dinner was so minimal, Tom.
-
Has anyone heard from Dan the Man?
Doesn't he live in Pennsylvania?
-
I am sorry your dinner was so minimal, Tom.
I thought it was rather classy.
-
Vixmom, it sounds like a lovely dinner.
-
I am going to have to look for that Sara Lee cake.
-
I received a very nice text message from the vixboyfriend. Starting by apologizing for a text rather than a call but explaining it was because he was concerned about interrupting church
-
Where o where is page five?
-
Paaaaaaage fiiiiive. Where aaaaare yoooooou?
-
Please read the previous post in a singsongy voice
-
Soon...... young lady.... soon!
-
FIVE
-
I figured I was safe at Hugo's at three-thirty but alas it was jammed and I had to wait for about ten minutes. An hour later when I left there were about thirty people out front waiting.
Ten minutes wasn't bad.
-
Think "warriors... Come out to plaaaaa ay"
-
Oh looked. Tom made it happen
-
I bet you sang that in your head
Or the Kander and Ebb song.
-
Has anyone heard from Dan the Man?
Doesn't he live in Pennsylvania?
I think he works in PhilDelphia but lives in New Jersey
-
I bet you sang that in your head
Or the Kander and Ebb song.
What Kander and Ebb song?
-
I am sorry your dinner was so minimal, Tom.
I thought it was rather classy.
Well yes cheese and crackers is always classy
-
I bet you sang that in your head
Or the Kander and Ebb song.
What Kander and Ebb song?
Sara Lee.
-
I'll have to watch it tomorrow on my big computer.
-
Thank you, Vixmom.
-
I'm off to bed. Good night, all.
-
Good night, John.
-
I bet you sang that in your head
Or the Kander and Ebb song.
I performed this in a local AIDS Benefit about 20 years or so ago. It's a fun song!
-
Did Vixmom leave without saying good night?
-
Did BK arrive without saying hello?
-
Last night, the Northern Lights could be seen in Seattle and Tacoma.
-
It is possible they will be visible again tonight.
-
Actually, it will be tomorrow morning since they are seen around 1:00 am.
-
Watched Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Dozed off for a while. Relaxing.
-
It's intermission and I need to stand up for a while.
-
It's now time for act two!
Until later.
-
Watched Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Dozed off for a while. Relaxing.
Relaxing is probably just what you needed.
-
I feel very sorry for that actor.
-
Not because he is out of the show, but because he let something else become more important to him than his art.
-
I came close to that point.
-
Page 5? Really?
-
We need to turn the page.
-
Not much farther to go.
-
Did Vixmom leave without saying good night?
Vixmom dozed off now it is time (Well past time really) for goodnight
-
SIX!
-
Page 6ix
-
Goodnight
-
Good night, Debby!
-
Has anyone heard from Dan the Man?
Doesn't he live in Pennsylvania?
I think he works in PhilDelphia but lives in New Jersey
He used to live in Pennsylvania.
-
Last night, the Northern Lights could be seen in Seattle and Tacoma.
Could you see them?
-
I came close to that point.
Thank goodness you had the strength not to let that happen.
-
And we're done!
-
We seem to have reached a lull.
-
It was a good audience and a good performance.
-
And now, it's time to leave and go home.
Be back later!
-
Last night, the Northern Lights could be seen in Seattle and Tacoma.
Could you see them?
I wasn't up at 1:30, and I didn't know they were visible.
-
I think there will probably be too many clouds tonight.
-
I saw them in Alaska, so I don't think I will wait up for them tonight.
-
Time to switch over to the iPad.
-
And I am back.
-
I think I may need to get the air conditioner up and running this week.
-
It seems a bit early, but it doesn't hurt to be ready.
-
I'm having lunch with my sister tomorrow.
-
I have a souvenir for her from Denmark.
-
Hello, 1 Guest!
-
And now, it's time to leave and go home.
Be back later!
I'm home.
-
Just had to share. ;)
-
I also just realized this morning that I had not yet paid my property taxes! :o
-
They were due April 30th.
-
I just paid them online and had to pay a small fee.
-
At least I paid them...and was able to pay them. :)
-
And...
-
...now that we're so close...
-
PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!
(http://www.quantumgambitz.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/lucky-7b.jpg)
-
At least you remembered to pay them.
-
At least you remembered to pay them.
Yup...I've never forgotten before. I don't know what made me think of it, either.
-
Well, I guess this is.....
Good Night!
-
Good night, Tom!
-
Well, I have work in the morning, so I'm off, too.
Good night...whoever is left. 8)
