Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a preview, and now it is time for you to post until the previewed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TROPHIC!
-
Bruce, congratulations on a great preview!
-
Good morning to all
-
Break a leg on the opening.
-
Rodgers & Hammerstein is now owned by a European conglomerate?
-
Broken leg vibes to MR BK & Co on their opening night!!!
The preview sounds like it was a BIG hit!!! Love the photos.
-
Good morning, all.
It's so nice to be back home where I belong.
(You should only see me making my grand entrance down the staircase.)
-
Coffee!
-
Opening night vibes to BK and company!
The show sounds wonderful, and I've loved the detailed notes on the rehearsal process. Really can't wait to hear and see more.
-
And what with my traveling and all, it's hard to believe Encores! has already been going on.
Be there Sunday evening!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Friday morning greetings! I'm up early getting ready for 2 things I really don't want to do: help revise our AAUW bylaws and attend a meeting in Cleveland via conference call.
-
Glad to see that DR ChasSmith made it home safe & sound!
-
This morning I have laundry to do. Heller is arriving around 530 to check out this DVD situation.
-
Opening night vibes for BK & company!
-
Yes, the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization was sold to a Dutch company, Imagem, about 10 years ago.
-
It's Friday the 13th and a full moon. Ask me how glad I am not to be working in a public library today...
-
Heller is arriving around 530 to check out this DVD situation.
I read that as Hell is arriving... and I do hope that doesn't happen.
-
I need to go to market. Stepping out with Joshie yesterday afternoon was fun, buty it screwed up my plans to go to market.
-
DR Ginny: Whoa! Indeed. And thanks for the reminder(s)! :)
-
Congratulations on a successful preview!!!
-
Opening night vibes to BK!!!
-
Yes a very interesting day to open a show....astrologically speaking.....
-
I hope it's not a very interesting day for eating a Sausage McMuffin with Egg, because that's what I just did.
-
It was not an interesting morning for eating a sausage and cheese biscuit from Jimmy Dean's.
But it was good.
-
I called in yesterday a.m. to say I would not be coming in to work. I was exhausted. Had slept more than 10 hours but needed more.
Four-day work weeks are about the best I can do any more. Oh, I show up on a fifth day most of the time, but am running on regular grade and spending more time with my motor off than on.
-
Am at work right now. Got here at 6:15 a.m.
Once I set my mind to doing something, I try to do it as quickly as possible.
I hope I can last past Noon.
-
I think I'm under the influence of "old-timer's" disease.
-
Yes a very interesting day to open a show....astrologically speaking.....
Well, I - for one - will be doing no showing.
Someone asked me (in a meme) this morning if I'd be willing to cross the street "butt naked" for $10,000.
I had to say "No, thanks".
It would cost me more than that in the lawsuits that would incur.
-
Nothing like a Friday morning of self-deprecation.
-
And, I started Page 2.
-
It's some time later, and nothing has been added.
-
So sad to be all alone in the world.
-
No one is alone.
-
On my way to market, I ran into my super's wife and her mother Ludmilla, who was the wife of our previous super Steve. She's now very frail but i was happy to see her. The sad news is that Steve died three weeks ago. I am heartbroken about it. He was such a wonderful man.

DR Ron is it possible for you to officially reduce your work days to 4 a week?

It might be, but that would add time to my retirement.

That wouldn't help. You need an energy pill. Are you still tweaking your meds?

Good Morning
-
Big day at school today. Nothing to stress about, just a lot of things going on.
-
However, this evening, I'm attending a performance of The Most Happy Fella at 42nd Street Moon in San Francisco. A friend of mine is playing Tony and I'm really excited to see this show. It's simple staging/choreo, more of a concert - small 3 piece band, etc... but I love this score and I can't wait to see it on stage for the first time.

Oh no! What a shock. Very sorry to hear that, DR Elmore.
-
I stayed on my conference call for only about 10 minutes. The audio was so bad I couldn't understand anything being said. I have the dates for the meetings in August and November and will try to get there in person.
-
DR Elmore, I'm so sorry to hear about Steve...
-
This is the only photo I have of my late super Steve, his wife Ludmilla, and their family. My current super Bobba and his wife are behind them in the center of the window, ad their beautiful daughter, who's on a dance scholarship in Boston, is next to Raina.

Yes. My next appointment is a week from today. Will be letting them know about the energy slowdown.
-
I'm up, I'm up - just about eight hours of sleep - lots of hammering in the early morning, of course all stopped now.
-
Sorry to hear DR ELMORE.

Vibes they can do more tweaking and get your energy levels back up. I know too well about fatigue and it is not fun.

Synthroid, which I use for my thyroid, has gone way up in price. Once again, I researched switching to a generic and, once again, decided it isn't worth the risk of side effects.
-
When we moved we left behind our old bathroom towels and have been using very old, mismatched towels. Today I finally ordered a set online that we think will look good in our new bathroom. I hope I like them. Because of my shoulder I can't use heavy towels but didn't want super thin ones either. Mostly we have been looking for a color that looks good.

Well, Friday the 13th, but not a full moon...only the first quarter moon (according to my Futurama calendar).

It might be, but that would add time to my retirement.
Ron, if you wanted, do you have the option to work four 10-hour days to get all your time, but not have to work five days? Several people over the years have done that here where I work.

DR GEORGE is probably right - I got the info from BOOK FACE.
Oh.....and Lena Horne is dead.

Again.

Opening night cards written.

I just ordered one of the wool blend Newsboy caps like those worn by our own DR Elmore.
Mind you, I'm not trying to pass myself off as DR Elmore. I'm actually stealing borrowing this idea from Alby Potts. I think it will be perfect to wear whilst playing ACT ONE -- or anything, for that matter.
And if I end up wanting something slightly different, hats.com has plenty of good looking styles to choose from.

It's worth looking into, and I may broach the subject in due course of time.

Broken legs for BK and company!

The sun is out !
-
Jeanne, I'm sure it's buried somewhere in the mass of gmails that have been coming in - I think you wanted next Thursday matinee, which is fine. But e-mail me again.
-
I've shaved, shortly I shall shower, and then I shall be on my way to pick up Lanny and then go to LACC for our opening night.
-
Thanks for all the break a legs and keep those excellent vibes and xylophones coming. Very excited.
-
Dear BK and Cast - BREAK LEGS this evening!
-
Gratuitous Post #100!!
-
Great excitement for MR BK's opening.......
Vibes for the greatest opening night EVER!!!
-
Well, I need to be leaving work. I have a few errands to run before the show tonight, so now's the time to run them.
Until later.
-
Heller had to cancel tonight, so I'm still stuck with my VCR. I'm watching the TV production of Puccini's Tosca which was filmed in the actual Roman settings: Castel de San Angelo, Palazzo Farnese, and the Church of San Andrea.
It's from 20 years ago and really fantastic. Placido Domingo and Catherine Malfitano are quite good.
Now for Act two!

Dad is still in the hospital. They want to do some physical therapy because he's been weak and lost some weight, which he didn't need to do. But he should be released tomorrow in time for their 61st anniversary.
-
It was a very long day and next week looks to be even longer. I got a piece for Memorial Day that spoke about the "Marine Core." I wish they would teach reading, spelling and competence.
And that wasn't the worst of it. There's a whole new savings tool that makes no sense whatsoever.
-
I shall shortly be on my way to pick up Lanny and then to LACC for our opening night.
-
And it was so hot when I got home today that I had to turn the AC on for the first time this year.
-
Started to read a volume of letters by Alan Jay Lerner. Our own Larry Moore is listed in the acknowledgments.

Thanks for the update and sending continued good vibes!

Page four? Really?

Hello, 0 guests.
-
Time for us to leave this page.
-
Well, almost.
-
Five!
-
The Tosca was quite wonderful! Costumes and actual locations in Rome were really excellent, and that helped make the historical potboiler a greater Napoleonic reality. Ruggiero Raimondi made a wonderful slimeball of the corrupt rapist Scarpia, and Act Two was really intense with him, Domngo and Malfitano acting up a storm of tension. I loved it!
And now I'm off to bed.
-

I have that same video and I love it, too. Did you know that Domingo filmed it again in the same places with Raina Kabaivanska (http://smile.amazon.com/Puccini-Tosca-Bruno-Bartoletti/dp/B001F1XDXE)?
-
I remember watching that Tosca some years back, and would probably appreciate it more now.
-
Sorry to have been E&T
-
Vibes and prayers for John's Dad
-
I am looking forward to hearing how opening night went for the LA show....
-
Larry I am sorry to hear about Steve.
-
I worked late Tuesday to be sure that there would be no problems on Wednesday
-
Wednesday we traveled to Lancaster P to the Sight & Sound theatre to see their performance if "Samson"
-
We left at 7:30 and arrived at Cracker Barrel by 11:30. So we had 2 hours to eat and wander the outlet stores before heading to the theatre
-
On the way home we watched Fiddler in the Roof and arrived home around 9:30.
-
It was a beautiful day and the scenery is just lovely, beautiful farmland
-
I went into the office Thursday and spent the day catching up
-
Today was another crazy day. I have a very complicated closing on Monday and opted to finish putting the obviate together this evening while it was quiet.... I am glad i did. I discovered that due t some strange quirk of the PDFs software all the information that was being input , although it would show on the monitor , would not print on e paper documents..only the blank forms were printing... So it took about 3 hours for me to manually recreate all the paperwork
-
When I came home around 10 I was excited to smell the aroma of roasted red pepper soup
-
I am going to miss my Vixter so much

Hello, 6 Guests!
-
What are your signs?
-
What is your favorite type of soup?
-
Or, what is your favorite brand of soap?
-
Clam Chowder.
-
That is my favorite soup, not soap
-
Wow! Five of the six Guests have left the building!
-
So, who is the brave Guest who didn't leave?
-
Hmmm, will we ever know?
-
Only one more post.
-
SIX!
-
I can't wait to read how opening night went this evening.
-
And we're done! We had another good audience.
-
Only about half-filled, but they were attentive and appreciative.
-
They applauded during the show...during scene changes. That's rare. :)
-
And now, I'm off to home.
Be back later.
-
It was a beautiful day and the scenery is just lovely, beautiful farmland
I love the old PA farms.

Elmore, I am sorry to hear about Steve's passing.
-
The Most Happy Fella was excellent. What a wonderful show. My friend Martin was excellent as Tony. I find this score to be Loesser's best work. So cohesive and it moves so well. The instrumentation was piano, woodwinds (one player, many instruments) and 'cello - and they were fantastic.
Was there ever a movie made?
-
Our mini heat wave is over
It was nice today. I don't look forward to the cooler weather tomorrow.
-
Tomorrow night is the 50th Anniversary of the Lakewood Playhouse theater building.
-
I am one of the presenters, covering the period 1975 to 1980.
-
I have three to five minutes to speak of my era.
-
About one year per minute.
-
They are also doing a roast of the theater's artistic director but I refused to participate in that part of the program.
-
They are calling the entire evening a FUNraiser.
-
We are getting near he end of this page.
-
Well, why wait?
-
SEVEN!
-
SEVEN!!
-
SEVEN!
What he said.
;)
-
And good night!
-
Hmmm it's after 4 am on tomorrow and we sure stil on yesterday
-
I guess the opening went well and bk is still out celebrating
-
And why am I here after my sudden departure ?
-
Well one minute I was typing and then suddenly I was sleeping
-
And one minute I was sleeping and suddenly I was awake
-
Why not type!?
-
No today. No BK.
-
Finally back from a pretty wonderful but not perfect opening night and then a few of us went out - she of the Evil Eye will be here soon, so must go write some notes.
-
Tommy what are you doing up at this time of the day?
-
And our host has arrived
-
I am looking at renting a truck to drive to Florida
-
Gosh it's expensive
-
Maybe she should just stay here
-
I wonder how the notes are coming along
-
I wonder if I should go back to bed
