Well, you've read the notes, the notes had to day to themselves, and now it is time for you to post until the day to themselves cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BOTRYOIDAL!
-
First post after BK!

Second post after BK!

From last night, if you have ever worked on a play, either onstage or back stage; you might enjoy GHOST LIGHT.

From last night, if you have ever worked on a play, either onstage or back stage; you might enjoy GHOST LIGHT.
I added it to my watchlist.
-
But don 't watch it expecting a real horror film. It has more to do with THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, than it does with ghosts.

I read a couple of the negative reviews where that was the reason for the negative review.
-
It really feels chilly tonight.
-
Well, I must get to sleep.
Good night, Tom.
-
I think you will enjoy it, George.

I think you will enjoy it, George.
Thanks. I like those backstage kinds of shows.
-
Good night, George.
-
Nice photos and reviews from the show! Congrats to MR BK & Co.
I posted a note and a link on BookFace to Miss Jackie Joseph telling her about the show, so perhaps she will be able to attend. I think she may be an LACC alumnus....maybe.....

Good morning, all!

Another night where I got to bed far too late, around 12:30. I'll be in bed tonight by 9:00.
-
My friend Eric Dietz is coming over this afternoon to watch the BBC comedy Miranda, so I need to run out and get some snacks.
-
DR George, I did not orchestrate The Golden Apple, just edited the vocal score and did some cleanup work on the original Jerome Moross-Hershy Kay orchestrations to get the 1977 changes Moross demanded into the original parts. It's mostly Hershy's orchestration since Moross was rewriting the entire final scene for Broadway.
-
So, I have one more cup of coffee, some laundry to do, and I am off to market.
-
Good morning to all

I agree with these choices
and I would like to add Palamino Road sung by Cam Clarke on his Inside Out cd. A song about gay bashing. It was recorded 17 years ago.

That's so funny - I haven't heard "Harper Valley PTA" in ages and the other morning, I woke up with it in my head. Very strange
-
Oh, and good morning
-
Grease was rather uneventful - boring actually. But I had fun playing it again. Once was definitely enough - not sure I could have played a whole run. Actually, I get really bored playing long runs, and sometimes even short runs. I guess I'm getting old.
-
Page Two dance!
Born to Hand Jive, oh yeah!
-
Correction on the "Harper Valley PTA" song. The song in my head was "Echo Valley 2-6809" by the Partridge Family. I can see how they can get mixed up. Well... sorta
-
LOL....both Valleys

Ahh...thanks for the clarification.

I love that cover art. :)

HARPER VALLEY PTA.
I love that song...and it's been years since I've seen it, but I loved the move, too! (And I liked the short-lived TV series.)
I wonder if it holds up after all these years.
-
Great review!!
I am going to rehearsal early so that I can start taking head shots for the slide show that plays in the lobby .... I hope that I get at least HALF of the photos I need. Of course, I also want a SHORT bio as well.....
Fingers crossed.

My former workplace is getting a total make-over:
-
We watched three 30-minute episodes of MIRANDA, which may be my favorite BBC comedy, and Eric left he;s working a musical visual reality series for your phone. no capisco!
it was a nice visit, and now i am pondering dinner.
-
So am I, and the cupboard is nearly bare. If I can't scrounge something, I'll have to go out.
-
Had a Mexican Bowl for lunch, picked up one package and am home working and relaxing, not necessarily in that order.

I'm glad I don't have to work there, period.
But they have moved to a temporary facility that will become the library's "operations center" when the remodeled building opens. It's a pretty cool historic building that's on the path of the old Miami-Erie Canal.

LOL
&
That is nice.

Is anyone still watching CASTLE? We wonder why we are still watching, so it is not with regret that I say tonight will be the last episode.
-
I may not regret Castle, however, Keith and I are very sorry to learn that both THE GRINDER & GRANDFATHERED have been cancelled. Both these shows were highly rated by the critics.
-
All set: my podcast interview for Penn State on orchestration is set for June 3. Let the panic begin!
-

I'm still watching, but I haven't seen the last couple of episodes. I'm kind of glad that it's ending now, and not continuing without Beckett. I can't believe that her contract wasn't renewed if they went into one more season! >:(

I gather Nathan Fillion decided he was the clout and wanted her out.

I'd heard about some folder on the PMs page that had "filtered" messages - I never could find it but today I did and holy smokes - most were spam, but there were some others that were important and from really interesting people - going all the way back to 2009.

Congrats on the great review,BK!

I'm guessing, if there was a chance the show would be renewed, dropping her cinched it. We really should have stopped watching when they botched the wedding episode with Castle's disappearance.

Supposedly they didn't get along. I would say then they are talented actors as it never showed.
-
We gave up on CASTLE a long time ago. Richard stopped watching when it started conflicting with NCIS: LA and I gave up after the "wedding" episode. I was sorry to hear about the interpersonal stuff.

Of course, no where near Seattle. :P

I was sorry too. It doesn't help the show when people leak that stuff. Truly, the scripts on the whole just weren't very good. It was too easy to guess who did it based on previous formats.

I had no idea that they didn't get along. I never heard about this at all.

Publicly Fillion, and others in the cast, were shocked and upset that she would not be returning.

I never knew. That's too bad, though. I could see a spin-off/revamped series, something along the lines of "Castle Investigations." That would be cool.
-
Good evening is had. Bad night and so. I will try and get some sleep tonight
-
Sleep well, Vixmom!
-
I am leaving work now and going home.
Until later.

My 3.5 mile walk is complete. Time for a quick rinse and then create something for dinner.

I like how they had expanded that story line.
-
Good evening, all.
-
It's been a crazy day.
-
Listening to a set of Sun Records music recorded by Sam Phillips. Great stuff, and most of it is new to me. But I did love the inclusion of Roy Orbison singing "Ooby Dooby." Obscure Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and, of course, Elvis along with B.B. King, Charlie Rich, Howlin' Wolf, John Prine and so many other articles who came through that studio.
I loved visiting it when i was in Memphis.
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!
-
TOD:
I love all the mentions of Harper Valley PTA. And, yes, George, I loved the movie, too.
My top choices are two Cole Porter ditties:
The Tale of the Oyster
Miss Otis Regrets
-
I'm sure I'll think of more.
-
Tomorrow is the memorial service for my friend, Barbara, with whom I used to work at the newspaper. She would bake cakes for everyone's birthday, so someone had the nice idea that we should make cakes for after the service.
-
I just took my German chocolate pound cake out of the oven.
-
A little of it stuck to the pan, so I got to sneak a taste.
-
It earned my seal of approval.
-
It's make with a cake mix and the pecan-coconut frosting is baked into the cake.
-
It's apparently a Texas thing, like the original German chocolate cake.
-
Hello, 6 guests.
-
Come join the fun.
-
I won't make you wash dishes.
-
Promise.
-
But I'll let you wash or dry, if you feel so inclined.
-
Dad seems to have enjoyed his first day at home, though he's a little confused about his medicine. I think Mom's going to have to take that over until the home health nurse starts. And I don't know when that is.
-
Work was a pain today. Glad it's over. But more fun is on the horizon for tomorrow.
-
87-year-old musician, who had been with an orchestra since her teens, died while the orchestra was performing "There's No Business Like Show Business." That's going out with style.

Jane, thanks for posting that article about the woman who was in Casablanca. Great story.
-
The only other story song I could think of was another Cole Porter:
Two Little Babes in the Wood
-
I'm going to have to call it a night.
-
Sleep well, y'all.
-
Page four? Really?

Sure, she could come to Washington DC for you, but you couldn't talk her into coming to Seattle!

They should never have cancelled FIREFLY.
-
Good evening!
-
If they had made it CASTLE INVESTIGATIONS I might have started watching again.
-
I was not a big Beckett fan.
-
But the show is now history.
-
Let's get off this page......... NOW!
-
It earned my seal of approval.
☺
-
5ive!
-

I didn't know that.

That is the smallest smiley face I have ever seen.

Sometimes parents need to be told like it is. I used to care what they thought, now I could care less. I've been teaching long before their children were even born, I kinda know how to do things. So, in this case, they are on their own!
And that's all I'll say about THAT.

I agree.

I was not a big Beckett fan.
I get that.
-
I blame the writers.
-
I need to pull out my copies of FIREFLY. I haven't watched them in a while.
-
I was really getting used to our early summer weather.
-
So, going back to these dreary overcast days is really depressing.
-
I need to change over to my iPad.
-
I'm back.
-
Who am I talking to?
-
No even a single Guest.
-
And CASTLE is now history.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
I'm right here.
-
The east coasters are already in bed; and Jane, George, Matthew, Ron, and I are the entire west coasters.
-
I'm here for a minute For a brief moment I slept.
-
'night.
-
See, except for Ron and George, the entire west coaster has been on this page.
