When are you planning to record the score for the new musical?

Anxious to hear it.

My memorable dream from last night revolved around the restoration of our local Sorg Opera House, which was a stop on the Women's Wine and Chocolate Walk last Saturday. The exterior was a replica of Cincinnati's Music Hall, when in reality it's the interior that was designed by the same architect, Samuel Hannaford.  Our own BK was the superintending consultant and was about to buy a house on Hampton Place, the next street over from ours.

I think I may have just become a pain in the butt for the Miami library folk.  I hope not, but I just sent a critique of how unhelpful their finding aid for my collection is.  They're such good people but a music and theatre collection is something they've never encountered before.

I've decided that reading comprehension is not one of the strengths of many of the folks on Facebook.

So many conclusions are jumped to.  So many idiotic comments made about subject matter with which you just KNOW the responder could not ever in a million years have become acquainted.

And just DARE to express your dismay over what a beloved TV show has become (in case of point, "Person of Interest") and lesbian assassins are hot on your tale trying to make you confess you have issues with lesbian women.  As a fan of "Person of Interest", I "liked" its Facebook page.  As a "liker", I get the occasional feed from the "Person of Interest" page.  Today's was a feed of a video in which Amy Acker shared her opinions on her character Root's relationship with the character Shaw (they've become a lesbian couple and the main focus of the show).  This was not what drove me from the show, by the way...I quit becoming a regular viewer one and half seasons back when a new machine and super villains were introduced to set up an evil empire.  My love for the show was always based on the two main characters' desire to help people their machine identified as being threatened/endangered in some way.

So, to this new post, I opined (and by myself...NOT in response to anyone else's post):

"Gosh, it's so strange to me that Root has become the focus of this show. It's no longer the show I fell in love with."

That's it.  Innocuous, but matter-of-fact.  I was floored by the reactions I got from a couple of women proclaiming I have LGBTQ and lesbian issues.  How dare I post anything negative to that show's Facebook page if I don't watch the show?  I handled each attack calmly but firmly.  I was not critical or condemnatory of anyone.   Yet, the end result is that I have "blocked" one particularly strident person who demanded that I explain myself and my "obvious" attempt at "moral superiority".

That usually doesn't happen on a Tuesday, does it?

Tonight is the big season finale -- and Tony Dinozzo's farewell  -- to "NCIS".   For me, this season has been a disappointment.  Last week's episode (part 1 of 2) only partially pleased me (it sort of caught fire toward the end).  I'll definitely watch this episode, but they're going to have to resurrect my interest in the show by doing it really well rather than the by-the-numbers and not-so-interesting approach that seems to have been the past season.

I could be way off base on this, but I'm more inclined to discontinue watching after having been fully onboard with the show for many seasons.  I haven't really enjoyed the character played by Emily Wickersham.  She's perfectly fine and does the part well, but there's not really any chemistry with any of the other characters (including Gibbs, with whom the writers seem to be trying to create a special bond toward her).

Cote de Pablo was impossible to replace, apparently.  Her character of Ziva was mysterious, dangerous, funny and sexy.  That's an awesome combination and it has been missed.  Before Ziva, there was Kate and she had her own strengths.   This newer character (whose name, other than the actress's name, always eludes me) doesn't have any of the qualities of the previous two.  That could be, and may yet become, a good thing.

But...with Tony leaving and only Tim and Abby and Ducky and Jimmy left behind with Gibbs, I'm not feeling it.

"NCIS: New Orleans" also have its season finale tonight...and it's also part 2.

Ivan Sergei was last week's guest star.  It was quite obvious before the show was half over that he was going to be the adversary they were looking for even though he was a Homeland Security official.

Any time a guest star appears in a show in which an unknown villain is being hunted, it always seems to be the guest star who is the culprit.

Ho-hum.

We are back from our delightful day trip to Circleville.  The papercrafting store, Creative Chaos, is fabulous and the proprietor, Angela, is very helpful.  She has an aunt here in Middletown who worked at the school district central office at the same time Richard did.  It's a good thing the shop is a 2-hour drive, for the sake of my bank account.

We had lunch at good deli, then visited Wittich's, the "nation's oldest confectionery," for chocolate to bring home.

I hear ya!   The trouble with him was the connection he was making with Agent Brody.  She was too much "into" him, and he seemed to be stringing her along.  Unless they were going to add him to the cast, I knew that wasn't going to go anywhere but into trouble.

I don't do Facebook partly for this reason. I have a friend who's active on a couple online bulletin boards and he has told me many stories like this. "Why do you participate?" I ask. But he's a combative sort of person. I am not.

I do feel that people are getting stupider. Online media doesn't cause it, but I do feel it provides a vehicle for mindless accusations and conduct. Which, I'm happy to say, we do not have here at HHW.

Last night - I finished season 7 of "Gilmore Girls" - I liked the series very much, but the last season was the biggest cluster I've ever encountered - almost as bad as the last season of "Alias".

Anyhow, tonight I get to turn on my DVR and see what hot mess is there.  At LEAST 4 weeks of "Days of Our Lives" and the last month and a half or so of "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal".

Great Caesar's Ghost!

I am totally baffled reading this.

We still watch though I too miss the show you loved and wish it had not taken the turn it did for the reasons you stopped watching.

I think Root is too much of the show now but the other characters are still strong.  I originally disliked Root but am now ok with her, and at times even like her.

Root is a bit obsessed with Shaw and I have no doubt regarding her feeling for Shaw.  Yes, Shaw gave Root a goodbye kiss.  At the time I wasn't sure if Shaw was just being nice.  Granted much of the driving force behind Root is to find Shaw but  that "they've become a lesbian couple and the main focus of the show" is a surprise to me.

Crazy people.

AmEx presale tomorrow for Barbra's tickets. I'm not optimistic, though , about getting good seats.  I don't think they have many good seats in the presale, but my friend Paul is anxious to get the tickets as soon as possible.

And now, I must be off.  Tonight is the Theater Artists Olympia monthly board meeting I have to present some number$.  It shouldn't take too long...certainly not more than a couple of hours.  I have some TV to watch tonight!

Be back later.

There is smart television out there, and Person of Interest was originally smart ;)

It is called Bar Louie and on Tuesdays  any burger on the menu is $5 and it included fries .  When we got our bill for $10.86 I called the waitress back.... I think there's an error. We weren't charged for our sodas

The steak house doesn't start until  3:30 or 4 during the week and she only works at the church on the weekend so she has been coming in for  3 or 4 hours in the morning couple of days a week for the past coup,e of weeks

The burgers were really good too.  Nice and thick and served on a brioche bun... The fries were nothing special. Obviously frozen fries.  But the burgers were fabulous

Consoles are tables that go behind a couch, or TV consoles,  I want something to go against the wall under artwork that I can set a couple of framed photos on.  If I was at my computer I would show you some photos.
