Healing vibes for your sister!
Healing vibes for your sister!
Thanks, DR Jane! She also further twisted the knee that might need to be replaced - not as a direct result of this fall, though. She and her husband and their daughter are supposed to be here for Memorial Day weekend and, so far, she thinks they'll be able to make it.
Dear BK: I'm thinking Diet Coke is not a solution to your reflux angst. I'm thinking it's something that contributes to it.

I think Bruce has reduced his consumption of diet coke; D

For acid reflux issues, that's one and half Diet Cokes too many.

I absolutely agree and don't know how he can drink any at all. I also learned the hard way to SLOWLY give up caffeine drinks. I went through withdrawal giving up Pepsi and had to do it slowly.
Vibes for the sister of DR GINNY. OUCH!
Health vibes for Ginny's sister. Hoping for a quick recovery!
Feel better vibes to DR Ginny's sister.!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OMG, what an awful thing, falling like that. Even a minor trip or stumble is unsettling and a bit scary when you do it as an adult. I can't even imagine the shock and the scare and the pain that must have been. VIBES for a very speedy recovery for the DS of DR Ginny!
DR Ginny, are the flying or driving?
Ginny, vibes for your sister. What a horrible fall.

I did it early on in my life when I was stationed in Italy. I bought and consumed mineral water (the sparkling bubbly variety). After that, my tastes changed from cokes/sprites/seven-ups to acqua minerale. :)
I still occasionally enjoy a ginger ale, though.
Because the Indianapolis 500 - formerly the BIGGEST SPECTACLE in racing - is sold out, it will be broadcast live on the local channel for the first time since 1949.
Ginny, vibes for your sister. What a horrible fall.
Thank you, DR TCB. She emailed me a photo this morning, but I'll spare you the graphic.
We received the check to pay for our roof from the insurance company, but it was made out to my father AND mother....so we have to get a new one.
Crisis to crisis. Today's fresh hell: a rather unintelligible phone call from my neighbor Judy. It seems that the jerk neighbor on our floor has been telling tenants that Bobba, our super, has been replaced by the building management. This is bad news, since I think he and his family are great, even if he took his time repairing my ceiling two years ago. So, I've been emailing and phoning our agent to protest.

Yes, BK mentioned it earlier or last night.

Overheard at the hairdresser:
Richard, master colorist, is advising a twenty-something stylist on some of the finer points of hair color.
Richard: Have you ever heard of Sherlock Holmes?
Young stylist: No.
Richard: You've never heard of Sherlock Holmes?
Young stylist: No, but I've heard people say, "Eat sh*t, Sherlock."
Richard: Not the same thing.
Young stylist: Stick to things from my generation.
I thought it best not to say anything, BUT...SHERLOCK, the BBC TV show, and very popular at that, IS part of today's world. Aaaarrrrrrggghhhhhh!
The first year after the paralysis was one fall after another for me. I credit my experience with stage falls for keeping me from breaking any bones. That and a lot of those patented HHW vibes.

I am always saddened when the PBS season is over. I'll miss CALL THE MIDWIFE, GRANTCHESTER, and MR SELFRIDGE. I usually use the summer months to catch up on shows I missed, some of which were popular before my birth.
Any suggestions for good TV shows from the last five or so years? (Don't care for futuristic stuff.)
Drinking water dilutes the acid. If you do have heartburn again, immediately drink water.
Wednesday morning greetings! Just got off the phone with my sister, who could use some vibes this morning. She fell on the golf course yesterday and planted her face on the cart path. Nothing broken and no concussion, thank goodness, but she has abrasions and 2 black eyes. Her left eye is swollen shut.
I was having reflux problems several years ago and it turned out to be lactose intolerance.
Sunny and high 80's in DC today, but low humidity.

Miranda Hart, whom I dearly miss on CALL THE MIDWIFE, had her own show called MIRANDA. It ran from 2009-20015. Have you watched it? We haven't but I am curious about it.
I ordered from an Amazon vender yesterday a DVD that I would swear was priced at $9.95. I was invoiced for $119.00!
I have spent the last 45 minutes on line and on phone about this issue. 30 minutes was spent trying to find the means to contact Customer Service. It used to be much easier.
In the next couple of days Keith will likely put some pretty photos on my facebook page. DR George, or anyone who wants too, please share some of them here.

Sure...if I remember when, or if, I see it. ;)
I woke this morning with a scratchy, sore throat. I think I've had a fever most of the day.

Feel better. It didn't stop you from enjoying the bakery ;)
Sounds like a fun evening, George. I love listening to short pieces like that.
I just found out that a lovely 19'year old girl from our church just had to have her thyroid removed because of cancer

Of course not. The diabetic needed his sugar.
Please send vibes
I've never seen the movie, but I really like the Broadway cast recording of ALW's new musical version.
In the musical, Sierra Boggess plays the role that Joan Cusack plays in the movie. They definitely reconceived the role.

I saw her play Christine opposite Brent Barrett in PHANTOM in Las Vegas.
Is that the one with Ramin Karimloo?
Do you have the Region 2 version that also includes the LOVE NEVER DIES DVD?
