Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not twelve hours, and now it is time for you to post until the twelve-hour cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COLOPHON!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
I wish I could sleep for twelve hours.
-
Great song and video, BK!
-
First post after George after BK!
-
Great clip, Bruce.
-
Thank you for the video, it was wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing more
-
And I am off to church
-
Good morning!
-
Twelve hours of sleep? Wow!
-
Loved the video of the show, BK! I hope the show comes back and I'll be able to see it.
-
Loved the review of Bright Star by Iain, DR elmore! I wish I had seen it when it was at the Kennedy Center. Hopefully it will still be in NY when I'm there next.
-
Two more days till the first "preview" of La Cage aux Folles!
-
Great number; also liked "C.C. Brown's".
Hope you also put up "The Black Dahlia" number.
-
Going to a wedding late this afternoon. Hope we don't get another downpour.
-
Good Morning to All

BK
The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane is also one of my favorite films.
Other Cast people:
Mort Shuman who also appears in the film as the Sherrif is probably best known
for bringing Jacques Brel to the English masses in the show Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris as the English translator of Brel's lyrics and as one of the performers in the original show.
Dorothy Davis taught theater to kids for years and one of her most famous pupils was William Shatner.
The film was actually shot in the Eastern Townships in a town called Knowlton that has/had a summer theater called The Piggery.
I believe the interior of the house was shot a studio in Montreal. At that time, there was only a couple of small movie studio the rest were TV studios.
-
Nice video in the notes!
I also enjoyed the BRIGHT STAR review. The show should have a life after Broadway.
-
Congrats to DR TCB on his casino win! Any time you can beat the house is a good time.
-
We have a Noon Call for a 1 p.m. barebones rehearsal. I would think that giving the Open House guests a few numbers IN COSTUME would be more of a selling point, but this is what the director wants.....
So....that is what we shall do.....
I'm tired already.
-
Fun opening number. Great voices
-
Terrific video in the notes!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I guess I had a decently deep sleep, if not a twelve-hour one. As I was regaining consciousness I had to work at figuring out which day of the week or the holiday weekend it was.
-
Coffee!
Oh - I already have it. Thank you.
-
And thanks, BK, for the video, a nice surprise to wake up to. Looking forward to many more.
-
I have a par-tay to drop in on sometime this afternoon, which will be an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two at most.
Prior to that, I'm going to work on some Act One cues, and after the par-tay I'd like to think I'll be settling in and watching something really good. Not sure what it'll be, but I have one HELL of a backlog to pick from.
-
Tomorrow looks to be a washout for most of the eastern and northeastern U.S.
-
Yesterday DR Elmore mentioned the McGlinn Kurt Weill album. I would think I'd have acquired that one long ago and was a bit surprised and disappointed to see I hadn't, so I have one on its way to me now.
-
Good morning, all!
-
!! 2 !! 2 !!
-
I awoke at 8:00 folowing twp strange dreams: putting together a reading of the Cole Porter-Moss Hart musical Jubilee and assisting Leonard Bernstein on a production of Candide.
I turned on the AC and went back to bed.
-
Then I had a long dream about a mysterious company that apparently did nothing legal above a folded music store where I had worked. The receptionist was married to a man who was being played by Denzel Washington in a TV series. She and the other ladies working there were great, but the bigwigs were eastern European, and when I left their Christmas party with a shopping bag, I suspected I was being set up for something. Then I woke.
-
I have to drag out my ladder and put some books away. Then I haver lots of work to play with.
-
More coffee!
-
I'm envisioning a Discovery or A&E or History Channel series on DR Elmore's dreams.
-
DR Amy, the canger comment was in response to DR Vixmom 'so uncle having cancer and then her telling Bruce to see a doctor.
-
The wind is blowing something that has triggered my allergies. Apparently due to the poor air quality we don't have to pay the tourist tax. Los Angeles would go broke if they did that ;D
-
We are in our BEAUTIFUL roof top suite with a view of the beautiful plaza. The bed is still hard but at least the bed cover is large enough we won't have to fight over it during the night.
-
Speaking of beautiful, I haven't notice any photos of Krakow here.
-
We went to Shindler'so factory today. It is now a museum on the war, Krakow, and Poland.. One really can spend an entire day there.
-
DR Amy, the cancer comment was in response to DR Vixmom 'so uncle having cancer and then her telling Bruce to see a doctor.
Ohhhh, I'm sorry, I didn't catch that at all.
-
And so I must be off.
Pray for Rosemary's Baby.
-
And so I must be off.
Pray for Rosemary's Baby.
Have fun!
-
Thanks for sharing the video! I look forward to seeing more!
-
Good morning.
-
"The Jazzy Vegetarian" on PBS is hosted by a complete nitwit. I find her attempts to be cute and coy as repellant as her bursts of song.
-
I'm up, I'm up - no, not another twelve hours of sleep because I didn't fall asleep until around five.
-
The English version of the French Provencal carols has been proofread and the corrections have been sent to Peter. I really like working with him.
-
Why would anyone watch a show called "Naked Dating" with all the wiggly parts blacked out?
-

Ohhhh, I'm sorry, I didn't catch that at all.
;D I kind of figured you didn't.

Dinner in the charming hotel restaurant was delicious, especially the apply cinnamon tart in a flaky pastry.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Glad to hear that Jane and Keith obtained better lodgings. Bait and switch is most annoying.
-
Congrats to TCB on his casino win! Perhaps that'll help pay for the new furniture. An end table, maybe?
-
Vibes of comfort to Vixmom and Vixfam. Maybe your uncle's days be pain-free and as easy as possible.
-
Continued vibes to Vixmom's friend Alexis and to DR Ginny's sister.
-
We've had a typically cool spring, lots of high 60s and low 70s. My kind of weather. I haven't heard the forecast for the summer months. It was like this the first summer I was here and I'd vote to keep it this way.
-
Do people still go away for Memorial weekend? It used to be quite the thing. I was always happy to stay in town because restaurants and other places were no longer crowded. To me it just doesn't have the appeal it used to, but that may just be me.
-
I watched SPY the other night. It's not the sort of film I usually watch, but Miranda Hart is in it and I wanted to see it for that reason. She was very MIRANDAish, ie, the same sort of humor as in her TV show. Very British. Jude Law was in it also, but with an American accent.
-
Vibes for a good week ahead.
TTFN.
-
Just sitting at the computer uploading videos for the notes.
-
Perhaps I'll eat a sandwich - I'm staying in today - have my bagels, some ham, some cream cheese - I'm SET!
-
I just cleaned two stalks of broccoli. I'll have one for dinner.
-
Good Afternoon
-
Back from a bike ride... lovely day here in the Bay Area
-
Loved the Opening Number - typical BK style, which I know we all love.
-
Okay, I quit.

Sunday evening greetings! Another family day here. Picked up my sister at 10 and we picked up a 25-piece order of fried chicken at Kroger. We enjoyed the pre-race festivities and the start. Richard, Rob, and Mary Linda returned from church and my brother-in-law and niece returned from golf. We had a nice mid-afternoon meal of fried chicken, baked beans, salad, and chips and watched the end of the race. The men napped while the women visited and then we had carrot cake for dessert. Out-of-towers have returned to their hotel and I'm vegging.
-
Watching stuff, watching an online auction for grins (not bidding), and stuff like that. Glad everyone enjoyed the opening number - several more coming this evening.
-
BK - Will you been sending the video links to Mark Evanier (or is he already on your e-mailing list)?
-
He seemed to have been a big fan of your OUTSIDE THE BOX videos, also.
-
Why would anyone watch a show called "Naked Dating" with all the wiggly parts blacked out?
Imagination is always more fun than reality.
;D
-
I'll let him know they're up, certainly. He's a great guy.
-
Now, can someone please tell me why we're on page THREE? Really? You'd think it was a holiday weekend or something.
-
Auction is most amusing - it's for comic books and some original comic art - the amusing part is when they put up a comic book and it always has the Overstreet Guide to the highest price for whatever grade the comic is - and yet, these idiots pay hundreds over the Overstreet guide meaning they are either banking on this going up further or they are morons. I opt for the latter.
-
I've been thinking about Memorial Days from my childhood in the 1950s: on the day before, my mother and her sisters ravaging the peonies growing outside our dining room and kitchen windows and filling urns with them and other flowers from their gardens. In the morning, the Memorial Day parade down Main Street - my Uncle Paul was always on the American Legion float - followed by a long day at Woodside Cemetery where my mother and father, her sisters and their spouses decorated the graves of my grandparents and other deceased family members while my cousins, brothers, and I were either in the way, bored out of our minds, or running wild among the graves. It also meant there was another week of school and exams before the summer freed us.
It all seems another time, another life, and another world.
-
I will just say that page three is not to my liking and we'd best get some action goin' on here and but quick.
-
Just played through the entire book of vocal selections for "Fun Home"... I've never been so fulfilled.
-
Okay, I quit.

Lol!
-
Glad everyone enjoyed the opening number - several more coming this evening.
What a wonderful earworm that song was. It was with me most of the day. I look forward to watching it again.
-
Last night's thunderstorm raged all night long, so I slept very little.
-
Everything cleared up at about 8 this morning.
-
After church and a few hours of dancing, I went over to some friends for a fun party. Way too much food -- barbecue, salads, snacks, nothing outrageous..
-
Way too much wine. And just when I had had enough, someone went and opened a bottle of Opus One.
-
So, I stayed an hour longer.
-
Can we push this puppy to four?
-
Maybe.
-
Maybe not.
-
Four!
-
Page four! Really?
-
Really.
-
Good evening!
-
Hey, John!
-
What is Opus One?
-
It must be a holiday weekend.
-
Or I am at the wrong site.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I have been watching the Memorial Day Concert from Washington DC.
-
Alfie Boe has a beautiful voice.
-
It is nice to see The Beach Boys sharing the stage.
-
Unlike the previous year where they were not allowed to preform at the Fourth of July concert.
-
They really brought the audience to their feet.
-
They really are America's rock band.
-
Today was a wasted day.
-
Although I had plans for the day, I ended up having a date with my bathroom.
-
I felt okay, but my digestive system had other plans for my day.
-
Everything seems to be back to normal.
-
At least, for now.
-
So everything has been rescheduled to tomorrow.
-
So, I watched a lot of TV today instead.
-
Multiple episodes of MURDER SHE WROTE.
-
A couple of the episodes I had actually never seen before.
-
I could have sworn I had seen every episode, at least, once.
-
I do love me my Angela Lansbury.
-
I also finished watching YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE.
-
What is Opus One?
A superpremium wine that Robert Mondavi created when the California wines were beginning to take off.
-
How are you, TCB?
-
Can we move on?
-
What is Opus One?
A superpremium wine that Robert Mondavi created when the California wines were beginning to take off.
Oh, okay. Is it a red or a white?
-
Five!
-
I'm off to bed.
-
Good night, John.
-
Thank you DR Jeanne. I don't believe it was intentional bait and switch or they wouldn't have been so nice. They did warn us this rooftop room would be light. It was bright by 4:45 this morning. It is a beautiful room. I am very happy they brought us back and upgraded us 😊
-
I thought you had already gone to bed.
-
I also watched INCIDENT AT LOCH NESS.
-
They called it a mockumentary.
-
I had a few other words to describe it.
-
Yesterday we had showers on and off all day.
-
Starting tomorrow we are going to have really nice weather.
-
By Wednesday it will be close to 90.
-
That was weird. My computer locked up on my previous post.
-
It sat there locked up for over five minutes, but the posted time is when I actually first submitted it.
-
I felt okay, but my digestive system had other plans for my day.
Everything seems to be back to normal.
Oh, no! I hope things stay normal!
-
Okay, I quit.

Wow! After watching it, I realized that he played for about two minutes! All of those notes and it lasted only a couple of minutes? Amazing!
-
Hi, TCB!
-
So I guess it was my computer and not the site.
-
Hello, George.
-
We need to get to page six, George.
-
We have a little over an hour, so I guess we have time.
-
I get to listen to Alfie Boe sing again.
-
I like that PBS repeats their Memorial Day concert immediately following the first presentation.
-

I actually recorded this. Do you want a DVD? :)

No, thank you. Watching it twice was enough.
-
I need to switch over to my IPad. BRB.
-
I M back.

Today, I went to my sister's to help put up some shelves in her walk-in closet. She got it at IKEA. So we mark the walls for the holes (there is always some wiggle room), but when we put in the brackets, there is no wiggle room! The brackets don't fit. :(
-
So, I first loosen all the screws a bit from the wall mounts to see if that will allow the vertical holder things to wiggle enough room, but no. It wasn't enough. I totally goobered the measuring.
-
But then I got a text from her a few minutes ago and she was able to make the brackets and the shelves fit. Whew! It's all good. :D
-
Was it your fault, or Ikea's?
-
Just played through the entire book of vocal selections for "Fun Home"... I've never been so fulfilled.
A couple of months ago, I loaned my OBC CD to my niece, saying she HAD to listen to it. Today, however, she gave it back and said that she hadn't listened to it. I said this is a Tony award winning musical about a lesbian (as is my niece) whose dad was also gay and that she MUST listen to it! She said that she would...finally. I also told her about the Bechdel test (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bechdel_test). She had never heard of it...but now she has.
-
Was it your fault, or Ikea's?
Mine.

I know!
;)

LOL! My spellcheck tried to change lesbian to kielbasa.
-
I gotta tell you - more videos coming in the notes. Trying to figure out which to put in - I have all of them now.
-
LOL! My spellcheck tried to change lesbian to kielbasa.

I thought you had already gone to bed.
It is morning here ☺ I even slept well last night, until the sunlight woke me.

Great! That's the one thing that I don't like about my skylight. I'm very glad that it opens up, but it faces east and I get the very BRIGHT morning sun.
