Well, you've read the notes, the notes told the tale of a tail, and now it is time for you to post until the tale of the tail of the cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: METANOIA!
-
Good (early) morning to all.
Just woke up all of a sudden
-
Another batch of gret videos!
-
First post after Michael after BK!
-
First post after Michael and TCB!
-
To answer TCB's question from last night: no, the WCPA did not ask me. It was all very quick. The newspaper person was at an event and just asked some random volunteers to fill out some questions. I wasn't at the right place at the right time. :-\
-
And now, to bed.
-
Good morning, all.
And an early one it is.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the day we get back to Real Life?
-
It's also a week in which we lose a day.
-
Well, I was awake early and I enjoyed me some videos. Yes, that's it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
-
All great, and I loved what happened after the bows.
-
So what's in store for the week?
Well, the housemates are off to sunny Florida. I've got two (count'em) checkups -- dental and optometrist, a school jazz concert to attend, a couple of local productions to get to over the weekend, some outdoors work to get done, at some point a run-through of ACT ONE to sit in on, and my own work on that to have prepared for tech week next week. I also have to ask the furnace and a/c people when they're coming out to do the annual maintenance because the blower is making more noise than usual.
-
If I'd spaced that post out properly, we'd be on page fifty-three now.
-
Today in particular I'll be spending some quality time with my DVR'ed ACT ONE, which I don't seem to tire of. I really like the play, and Tony Shalhoub, Andrea Martin, and DR Elmore's close personal friend Santino Fontana are a collective delight.
-
For now, I am ensconced in the recliner with a cup of coffee at my side and a large cat on me.
-
The other large cat is sitting, watching, waiting, a few feet away.
Waiting to be served.
For it is feeding time.
-
This pastoral scene will not last much longer. No sir.
-
Well, I think that's about enough of me for now.
Good Monday Tuesday vibes to all.
-
Good morning, all! I got too little sleep last night.
-
I awoke at 5:30. About an hour later, after lying there awake, I got out of bed, took a bath and I'm up and sorta moving.
-
At 10:45, I see Doctor Vairavamurthy on fifth Avenue and 48th for a cortisone injection in my hip, I'm a bit terrified but I hope it helps.
-
I've told Joshie I will call him if anything goes wrong.
-
Good hip vibes for DR Elmore!
-
DR George, good luck to your sister the house purchase goes well, and vibes she has an excellent house inspector.
-
Dr. V's office called just now. He's cancelling today, so I am now scheduled for June 14. Damn.
-
That seems to happen more and more to me.
-
I had a lot of Jane Austen dreams last night, In the first, I dreamed that I was watching Pride and Prejudice from Mr. Gardiner's perspective. He was Mrs. Bennett's lawyer brother whose head was screwed on straight. His sister's was not.
-
I was hot and changed into shots, t-shirt, and sandals. It has now cooled down and it is chilly.
-
Then I dreamed I was preparing to lecture a college class on Miss Austen's novels.
-
!! Page 2 !!
-
So . . .
-
. . . do I go back to bed or remain a zombie all day?
-
Go back to bed.
-
We were sitting in the park when there was a tremulous loud clap of thunder and lighting about 1/4 mile away. Since the storm was moving towards us we scurried out of the park. Eventually we stopped u Der an archway to wait out the storm. Slowly our little spa ed filled up with people, and the a carriage pulled by horses stopped.

DR JANE isn't in Kansas anymore.
-
Did DR TCB say he was going to get the electric chair?
-
Most enjoyable videos and notes.
TOD:
Lobster!!
Shrimp!!

Newspaper and production photos last night. The director staged the bows, which he thinks should all take place in less that 60 seconds....weird. I don't like long bows either, but this doesn't give the audience time to applaud.....hardly.
He also has us leaving the stage....our tradition for 55 years has been that the cast stays onstage and talks to the audience afterwards....I am sure they will be bewildered and confused by this turn of events.
Oh well....it might be just as well that we escape them. The production is okay.....the show is just terrible.
-
If you see it advertised somewhere being done by someone....run as fast as you can in the other direction.
Book by Alan Knee#
Lyrics by Mindi Dickstein#
Music by Jason Howland#
I added the symbols just in case any of them are into searching for their names.
-
Goof stuff, BK!

TOD:
Swordfish
(And that is also the password)
-
We are in our beautiful hotel room listenin to the rain which is lulling me to sleep.
-
DR JANE isn't in Kansas anymore.
☺
-
Good morning.
-
DR John G: I was watching the Sundance channel which was doing a "Hitchcock" day. I watched "Rear Window" and "The Birds".
-
DR TCB:
I'd make a special trip to your state just to sit in a chair that made ME feel skinny!!!
-
TOD:
I do prefer shellfish over fish with scales. I love cracked crab. It's nice dipped in butter, but it doesn't need it. Mark and I used to be able to get king crab at the grocery store for only $9.99 a pound ten years ago, but no longer. Even Costco sells it for double that. The best thing you can do is find a buffet that has it, and eat as much as you can. :-)
-
At work.
So much to get done.
All of it relatively simple, but with many "steps" involved.
Sigh.
Why can't I have a "first day of the week" during which I can loll?
-
Truthfully, I "lolled" yesterday.
Slept in until 9:37 a.m. and it felt WONDERFUL.
-
Well, I've lain about long enough. i need to vacuum before I get back to work on the Moross score.
-
I am far more interesting, and entertaining on facebook. I wonder why....oh I know, Keith is pretending to be me. Sorry folks he doesn'the do so here ;D
-
Vacuuming finished, so I guess I'm off to the Moross score. It's looking good, but this pass I'm checking all the lyrics as well as the note and other visual problems from the last round. This will be the final one.
I also need to go to market. I had planned on doing that on my way back from the doctor.
-
Hello on this Tuesday that seems like a Monday that seems like a.....
-
I have two lines with the actor who plays my grandson.....I just got a note from the director saying the relationship needs to be defined as both formal and affectionate.
I shall have to think about how to do that..... Maybe I'll shake his hand on the first line, and put my arm around his shoulder on the second line.....
-
If only there were three lines. Then you could do formal, affectionate, and tough ... by kicking his ass on the last one.
-

LOL! You beat me to it.
-
DR George, good luck to your sister the house purchase goes well, and vibes she has an excellent house inspector.
Thanks, Jane! She's certainly excited, but definitely scared at the same time. :)
-
I was hot and changed into shots, t-shirt, and sandals. It has now cooled down and it is chilly.
Don't you hate it when that happens? :P
-
3HREE!!
-
I'm up, I'm up - another night where I didn't fall asleep until five so I got a little over six hours of sleep.
-
Maybe I'll just do that anyway - to show him that I read his notes.
-
Tuesday afternoon greetings! I had on my calendar that Richard's clergy study group was coming tomorrow, but found out just before breakfast that they were coming today. Did the errands today that I was planning to do tomorrow, but didn't have time to check in here beforehand.

Watch a couple of Andy Hardy films!

Back from the DMV where I dropped off "someone's" papers showing their boat mistakenly registered to me.
(We all knew it wasn't going to be over just by my sending back that little note several weeks ago. Right? Of course right.)
I think I'm extricated from the confusion, but time will of course tell. After dealing with the usual surly front line, a rather nice woman manager type found the problem. My birth date was one number off from the boat owner's (who is apparently a Charles Smith, imagine that) and even though he'd actually paid the registration renewal, the paperwork itself kept coming to me. Oy.
-
Oy.
-
Oh, I already said oy. Sorry.
-
In other news, I just ordered another couple of hats from that site.
Boy, life is exciting at my place today. How much crazier than this can it get??
Let's not ask.
-
Good evening!
-
I'm enjoying DR Jane's trip reports!
-
I will be leaving shortly for the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA to see the first performance of La Cage aux Folles. I'm not usually out late on a "school night" but I had to make an exception in this case.

Enjoy.

I hate it when groups of clergy show up when I least expect them. Makes me think I should be sick -- or worse.
:)
-
Loved the videos today, BK. Thanks for sharing so much of the show. It really looks like a lot of fun without lessening the seriousness of some of the subjects like the Black Dahlia.
-
It rained so hard here this afternoon that it was rather scary. The water was just whipping about in sheets. The power went out for about 25 minutes. J.B., who's never afraid of thunderstorms, was actually skittish when the lights when out.
We got about 2 inches of rainfall in 40 or so minutes.
-
I'm staying in tonight. It looks like more is coming any minute.
-
According to my weather app, storms are likely in 20 minutes and then again at 11 p.m., just when I want to go to bed!
-
PBS Newsletter is interviewing the brother of Kitty Genovese about a new documentary.,

Hope it's a good production and you enjoy it!

Hello, everyone.
-
Stay dry and warm to all DRs.
-
Tom, I'm glad to hear you decided to go ahead with the furniture purchase. May you long enjoy it.
-
Have coffee tables now morphed into cocktail tables?
-
Jane, I just discovered that MIRANDA is available on Acorn TV. No commercials. Be careful about eating or drinking anything while you watch it. It can be really funny.
You're able to stream video now, right?
(I mean at home, of course.)
-
Larry, sorry about the delay. If you went into an urgent care center I wonder if you could get the shot.
-
Another word about Miranda Hart. I'm not a lover of slapstick comedy, but she can really pull it off.
-
TTFN.
-
Look what DR Jeanne found for us: Four!
-
Elmore, I listened to the Jay recording of Kiss Me, Kate today (well, most of it because the power outage happened before the last two songs). I see your name in the acknowledgments. What's your opinion of it?
I love your overture to Jubilee and the orchestra, but I'm not thrilled with the women singers on the recording. Neither the Lili nor the Lois is very good. They sound like Brits trying too hard to sound like Americans.
-
Starting to watch Spy with Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Had a mostly fun rehearsal - one gal who's new to us came in with a lovely cold, which drives me crazy. I'm fighting so hard not to get sick this year, and every time I turn around someone with a cold of the flu is standing next to me. I took more Sambucol and will load up on Airborne, too.

~~~Stay Healthy Vibes for BK and Cast!!~~~
And on that note (C#), I'm done with work and am leaving. I have this nagging feeling that I'm supposed to get something at either Costco or Fred Meyer (they're right next to each other here in Tumwater), but I can't for the life of me think of what it could be. I have no plans, so maybe I'll just go there and see if anything pops into my head.
Until later. :)
Another load of vibes.
-
There was no reason for me to laugh as much as I did during Spy, but I enjoyed it. It's a mess of a movie, but everyone seemed to be having fun.
-
Good evening!
-
Did DR TCB say he was going to get the electric chair?
Yes, Jack, have a seat!
-
DR TCB:
I'd make a special trip to your state just to sit in a chair that made ME feel skinny!!!
Your welcome anytime.
-
You're going to have to rescue the evening, TCB.
-
Yes, I was corrected when I called it a coffee table. It is now known as a "cocktail" table.
-
When I used to deliver furniture, a cocktail table was the taller table behind the sofa. That is now a sofa table.
-
Of course, I suppose every store could call them different things.
-
Today seemed like Monday, even to me.
-
It is my week to pick the spot for the old actor's lunch this week. Usually you announce by Monday afternoon.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I got around to it about noon today. Whoops!
-
And that was the hardest I worked on anything today.
-
To put it frankly, I was a slug today.
-
It was just too beautiful today to do any work.
-
Or, at least, that was my excuse.
-
It was a sunny 80 degrees.
-
Nicky decided six a.m. was a good time to get up and start enjoying the sunshine.
-
So, we got up at six.
-
One more post.
-
Five
-
Finally!
-
I just heard a strange sound outside.
-
I believe it is June getting ready to bust out!
-
Probably within the next few hours.
-
Which reminds me that I am suppose to be meeting my friend, June, for lunch next week.
-
I had better send her an e-mail in the morning.
-
I am really getting bad about answering e-mails from friends.
-
And I have no excuse for it.
-
I guess I am just getting lazy.
-
Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
Ding Dongs or Twinkies?
-
Personally, I am a Twinkie man (no comments, Ron).
-
Page five? Really?
-
;)
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, John!
-
Hello, George.
I slept last night! First good night since we left home.
Today is our 4th anniversary 💙
Be well vibes for everyone!!
Hello, George.
Hello, Tom.
Well, I went to Costco and still couldn't remember what I wanted, so I impulse shopped. I bought Star Trek: The Original Series - The Complete Series (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B013Q1BVIE/), some individual serving sized fresh mozzerella, veggie sausage patties, and powdered peanut butter.
-
I know...weird combination of items, huh?
;)
-
Then, I came home and watched the latest episode of "Royal Pains," and an episode of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" It's never not funny! :))
-
Now, I'm watching the first episode of "Maya & Marty," starring Maya Rudolph and Martin Short. Anyone else watching this?
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
Jane, the 4th anniversary of what?
-
I guess Jane has signed off.
BetterBody Foods PB Fit Powder (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RKO8ZYW). It's pretty good.
Jane, the 4th anniversary of what?
That's just what I was going to ask.
-
Ding Dongs or Twinkies?
Ding Dongs...and that's not a euphemism.
;)
-
On "Maya & Marty," they're having an excerpt from "Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed," with Savion Glover. Cool!
