Yup, 47 years of bliss. I had to wash my hair and rush off to breakfast this morning and didn't realize I was still on yesterday's post.
Today is our last day in Krakow. We have saved the Palace and a couple of churches to see.
I'm watching the first broadcast episode on the new Star Trek DVD set that I got. It was released last year, but the 20 minute bonus segment about redoing the special effects was copyrighted in 2007. That doesn't make sense...unless it's taken them that long to get it all done, which I don't think is what happened.
Good morning.
She would dip that hook in the water next to the crawdad, and the crawdad would clamp onto the worm within seconds. Then she'd swing the line out onto the bank and stomp on the crawdad. She had the BEST time.
Mail came late at work yesterday. I was already gone when it arrived.
And what awaited me upon my arrival this morning?
One treasure that I found over the weekend on eBay -- a treasure, a small treasure, for me.
It's the program for the 1943 return engagement production of "Blithe Spirit" (at the Morosco Theater) starring Clifton Webb, Peggy Wood, Mildred Natwick and Haila Stoddard. Each performer has a full portrait page and each has signed beneath his/her respective portraits. In addition, three of the supporting players have autographed beside their biographical sketches -- Valerie Cossart, Doreen Lang and Philip Tonge.
It's in remarkably good condition (some of the inner pages are loose, but intact) and, at one time, someone had folded the program lengthwise.
I'm thrilled to have this.
Not glad enough to overlook a lack of fishing license, though.

Happy Anniversary to Jane and Keith!
Yesterday I took Wae-Ling Goldstein to a lake. We picked up some mealworms at the bait store, which she fed to the lizards skittering around. She found lots of discarded fishing line and some hooks on the ground and he made a fishing pole out of that, baited the hooks, and caught several crawdads. Good thing I bought her a fishing license a few days ago.

Yes, you want to keep her legal 😉
Laundry is in the dryers. I saw my super, and he told me he was officially terminated yesterday. I once again complained to the management.
The building management has replied: This decision had already been made prior to your phone calls and emails. I appreciate your concern for him, as am I, However, this could not be helped.
Well, I've done what I can, and i hope he finds work quickly. I like him and his family very much.
Here is the new addition to the family. Leo (Leopold Pius) will be joining DD Ben and I in August!
Happiest of anniversaries to DR Jane and Keith!Thank you. It has been lovely. We have a car picking us up at 6:30 in the morning. We have two short flight to reach our next destination.
Since I'd been writing lyrics in the NY Times reader-comment section for so long, the Times asked me to write a "parody lyric" on the subject of the ArtsBeat column coming to an end after all these years.
It's at this link, actually part of the article this time and not in the comments; you just have to scroll down a bit:

Happy Anniversary, Jane and Keith!
That is some lousy, crappy news, DR Elmore.
Hey, I met him and his wife, right? Last time we were schlepping a file cabinet? They were nice people.
Maybe you can get a couple of HAMILTON tickets DR FJL!
Very nice.

Happy 30th anniversary to my brother and sister-in-law! I wish them all the happiness they so richly deserve!

Are you refering to the original television series? If so this is a reissue. The show was already released sometime ago by season. I have them on Blu Ray and there is a lot of bonus material. You can watch the shows with original or the enhance special effects.

There was another treasure in the mail, as well. All the way from London, England, it travelled.
Stage Door's "Collector's Series" edition of "Barbara Cook sings Songs of Perfect Propriety by Dorothy Parker".
Someone here mentioned this title a few weeks back. Was it you, DR George "Doughty"? If so, thanks for mentioning it here. I would never have known about it otherwise.

That's great, Fred! Both the parody and the recognition! :D

Great stuff, Fred.
Happy anniversary to FJL's brother and sister-in-law!
It was a good day for weddings apparently.
I have also finished the monthly report I assemble every month before the first Friday of the month.
I took me half a day! It has sometimes taken me three days (due to folks not finishing their updates).
Huzzah!
I enjoyed it, Fred! ;)

What can I say about last night's performance of La Cage? It was really terrific. The actor playing Jacob (the "Maid") had a death in the family so the understudy went on and he was hilarious. Bobby Smith, who is a well-known local actor (but I confess, not to me) was great as Albin/Zaza and Mr. B. Barrett was tremendous as Georges. HIs version of "Song on the Sand" was just so great.
No be sick vibes to bk
A nice visit from DR Laura! I miss seeing your pictures here
FJL, that is fantastic. Congratulations!

TCB will be happy when he sees the page count later!
I received an e-mail from Chase Bank this evening telling me of an illegal attempt to access my account and that my account was temporarily being suspended. I started to panic, until I noticed all of the grammatical errors in the e-mail.
Where is George this evening?
Kevin, good news regarding LA CAGE. I imagine you won't be seeing the show a second time.
