Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a successful pick-up, and now it is time for you to post until the picked-up cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CONDIGN!
-
First post after BK!
-
First post after TCB!
-
Good morning to all
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR TCB, I agree about yesterday feeling like Friday. What a strange, short week!
-
This morning I have to be at 54th Street by 9:15 for this 9:30 interview. Following that, I have an hour or so break before I have a meeting about Moonshine and Mistletoe. It's going to be a long day.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have my eye checkup at 10:30, then the whole rest of the day is mine,
-
Have a great interview, DR Elmore!
-
DR John, maybe we should skip Rome.
-
Thank you DR Cillaliz.
-
Have a great interview, DR Elmore!
I hope! They claim they want me because of BK's recordings, and that's fine with me. Since I tend to have no block on saying anything, God knows how many times I will put my foot firmly in my mouth!

It'll probably make for a vibrant, lively interview.
-
HA! Thanks to the patented HHW Vibes, we had a terrific opening night. It was a BIG and appreciative audience with us from the top. They laughed, cried, and applauded all the way through at the appropriate times.
I got some nice laughs and our song got YUGE applause....it was good. It is a much better production than it has a right to be! Director Tim has made a silk purse out of this raggedy sow's ear.
-
EXCEPT that.....on the drive down....some guy came up beside me honking his horn and yelling. I rolled down my window and he yelled: "Ya got a flat tar!"
I yelled back thanks! Turned into a crossover and discovered he was indeed correct, my back passenger side tire was about half way down. I drove back to an auto place. They were open for five more minutes, and the man aired up the tire. I got to the theatre. I check at intermission, and it was down again.
So my brother in law drove down to get me after the show. My friend Sandi's husband is going to take the tire in for repair, or get a new one....and put it on for me today....and then my BIL will drive me back down for the show tonight.
Just another day in paradise.
-
A representation of my day yesterday - not the ACTUAL tire.

Is it really Friday?!?!?!
-
TOD:
Absolutely no idea.

I am glad it went well 😊

We are currently enjoying our dinner at 7 Portes which was recommended to us by DR Armold Brockman. The restaurant is 10 plus years and beautiful, lots of wood and light. So far the the food is delicious.
-
We were just informed it is the second oldest restaurant in Barcelona. It first opened in 1836.
-
Friday morning greetings! I slept until 9:15 this morning, quite late for me. Easing into the day with some puttering, but I must get myself together for grocery shopping, visiting Mom, and some other errands. This evening Richard and I will go to the First Friday festivities downtown.
-
Yesterday I missed congratulating DR FJL on the NYT shout-out. Richard saw it on Skip's Facebook page and sends his congratulations, too!
-
We just finished the best dining experience of our trip. Thank you DR Arnold!
-
Back from the optometrist, and into the poorhouse.
-
So my tire is repaired and the car back at the theatre thanks to Sandi & Dean.
-
Nice sevice!
-
Good afternoon!
-
I'm home early today. I'm shuffling off to Buffalo tomorrow morning and have a few things to do.
-
I went to see La Cage again last night. The theatre has rush tickets for $30 one hour before the show. I got 2nd row center section--a great seat.
-
I missed little Iain Armitage by a day--he was at La Cage Wednesday night. I'm looking forward to his review!
-
Interview vibes for DR elmore!
-
I'm up, I'm up - probably would have slept till one if the phone hadn't rung. Still, I got ten hours of sleep.
-
Happy Jrand's opening was wonderful.

~~~Break Legs Vibes for the Rest of Your Run!!~~~
We were just informed it is the second oldest restaurant in Barcelona. It first opened in 1836.
Wow! 180 years old...amazing!
-
So my tire is repaired and the car back at the theatre thanks to Sandi & Dean.
Now all is right with the world.
;)
-
Topic of the Day: in my CD player right now: the original Off-Broadway cast recording to "Brooklyn Crush," that just arrived yesterday.
-
I received and listened to "Tales of Tinseltown" yesterday and enjoyed it. I love Klea Blackhurst!
-
Thanks to all.....I shall be on way shortly for NIGHT NUMBER TWO.
-
We were just informed it is the second oldest restaurant in Barcelona. It first opened in 1836.
Wow! 180 years old...amazing!
Yup, kind of cool.
-
DR elmore I hope your day went well.
-
Back from a sandwich and no fries or onion rings.
-
Had a somewhat annoying e-mail, but I've responded in my fashion and I'm sure it will all be fine - happily, this is something I'm in control of :)
-
I am home and very tired.
-
The interview was fun. I had a breakdown talking about the John McGlinn recording of SHOW BOAT and our screwed up friendship, and we had to stop till I recovered. I also talked about BK rescuing my career after a two year hiatus provoked by "friend" who fired me, and tried to get rid of Robert Kimball as well from the project.
They want to interview me again. I'm ready.
-
My afternoon meeting was equally good. We cleaned up some problems with Moonshine and Mistletoe, and I have some new bits to write to cover some dialogue in the opening.
I need a nap.
-
Did some banking and now I just relax. I've been resting my voice, but will just go over the three songs I have to know in case Guy Haines doesn't show up, just in case.
-
Today's been a day. I was an alternate union member representative for today's Union/Management meeting.
-
Someone who is a regular on the committee couldn't be there, so I said that I could since the meeting is in my building.
-
It went quite well, and I didn't have to do anything except observe. :)
-
And since we're so close...
-
IT'S FINALLY PAGE THREE!!
-
Yesterday I missed congratulating DR FJL on the NYT shout-out. Richard saw it on Skip's Facebook page and sends his congratulations, too!
Thanks so much, Ginny and Richard!!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Oh, my, we need some posts.
-
Glad to hear that Larry's interview went well.
-
And that Jrand's "tar" has been fixed. I think you're very lucky to have people nearby who can help.
-
I'm starting to really hate my HMO. HMOs were started to improve efficiency and thus reduce costs. I see no improvement in efficiency whatsoever. What I do see is endless bureaucracy, long wait times for patients, and other needless hurdles. Unfortunately, it's not just UCLA that is like this. I like my doctor, though. I think he was a bit offended when I called UCLA "medieval," but he had to agree with me about certain shortcomings. I'll be seeing him again next week and I hope he can get me into see a specialist sooner than the one month I was quoted.
-
And I'm not nearly as grumpy as some seniors.
-
TOD:
I'll be choosing from
MIRANDA
PERSON OF INTEREST
MAJOR CRIMES (if it arrives)
I'm on a PERSON OF INTEREST kick, rewatching season 1. I really like Det Carter and was really sorry that they killed her off. IMO, they should have kept her and never have gotten into the Root thing.
-
TTFN.
-
Glad to hear you're going back for a second interview, DR elmore!
-
Well, I'm leaving work now.
-
I first have to bring some DVDs to my niece.
-
She wants to sell them, mainly just to get rid of them, but I said, "Why don't you donate them to the library?"
-
She said, "Sure!"
-
So, I searched the library's catalog and pulled all the titles that the library already owns.
-
It's the only way that they'll take donations...they usually won't add just one DVD.
-
And what's left are what I'm bringing back to my niece.
-
Out of the maybe three dozen titles, the library only had maybe 10 of them, so that's what they took.
-
After I drop those off at my niece's, I'm going to tonight's rehearsal for "The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged)" that Theater Artists Olympia is presenting, starting next Friday.
-
I'm running the sound board...again.
-
After the rehearsal, there will be a paper tech that I'll need to stay for.
-
It's gonna be a long night.
-
Until later!
-
Page three? Really? Most irregular, it's not a holiday weekend so let's get on this right about now.
-
This is going to turn ugly very soon :)
-
UGLY.
-
YLGU. You have no idea how UGLY this is going to turn.
-
Oy.
-
Or yo spelled backwards.
-
Four!
-
Four?
-
Really?
-
Donde esta la gente esta noche?
-
Wo gehen diese Leute Heute Nacht?
-
It's been a very long day.
-
Why do I know the name Peter Nichols?
-
I'm starting to watching something called Forget-Me-Not Lane.
-
But that's not what I know him for.
-
Did he write Joe Egg?
-
I don't know where I pulled that from.
-
Anyway, this production features Joseph Maher years before he was a chauffeur on Another World. Tom Hulce, Geraldine Fitzgerald and Donald Moffat are also in the cast.
-
Less than one week until the big competition.
-
I'm not ready, and Joy keeps trying to change routines or steps we've worked on for months.
-
TOD:
Absolutely agree.
-
DR elmore I am very pleased you had a good day :)
-
Work has been weird this week. There were days with little and yet today seemed to be in overdrive. But so many people are going on vacation that we can't keep up with the workload. And more people are in a three-day conference next week. So, I can expect more of the same.
-
DR elmore I am very pleased you had a good day :)
Me, too. Great news on the interview.
-
Jane, have you been out in the country or just in small cities? If you've been in smaller cities, you should enjoy Rome. But to go from a town of 350 to 5 million or so was a little too jarring.
-
Congratulations, JRand, on the great opening night. Hope tonight's performance was just as good.
-
Anyway, this production features Joseph Maher years before he was a chauffeur on Another World. Tom Hulce, Geraldine Fitzgerald and Donald Moffat are also in the cast.
And who else?
-
I see that one BK is in this production of Forget-Me-Not Lane.
-
How could I have not known that?
-
BK's picture is even on the front of the jacket, albeit in 1/8th profile.
-
Muhamad Ali has died
-
RIP Muhamad
-
"You ought to drop that crackpot Ivor boy."
Great line about BK's character.
-
RIP Muhamad
Sorry to read that. He's perhaps the most famous Louisvillian. Great up watching him box. He was also perhaps the greatest athlete of my youth.
-
The sky was crazy tonight
-
I feel rather embarrassed by that.
More from the ball park
Five!
Gorgeous picture.
Thanks!
-
Another thunderstorm is rolling in right now.
-
Apparently, it rained quite a lot at my house today, though it only rained a little at work.
-
It was crazy tonight. I'm usually fairly freaked out by the weather, but for some reason I wasn't at all. Of course I could see that there was no rotation or anything like that. And there were no watches or warnings. It did start raining after these clouds passed through. I gave a friend a ride home and listened to the rest of the game. Xs win 10-2. Nice.
-
I posted my photos on the KTIV facebook page. So did literally 100s of other people. There are some pretty amazing photos there. What a sight to see
-
Copies of Forget-Me-Not Lane are available here for a good price:
That site has plenty of titles from the Broadway Theatre Archive.
-
Is there flooding near your house, John G?
-
I am sleepy
-
All but the one I want: June Moon with Jack Cassidy, Susan Sarandon and Stephen Sondheim.
-
Had another busy day at work, got a lot accomplished this week,but still have a brief due Tuesday so lots to get done
-
Is there flooding near your house, John G?
Flash flooding has occurred about 20 miles from my house in the city of New Braunfels and in downtown San Antonio. But not at my house. Yet.
Thoughts and prayers to those who have been impacted by flooding
Talked to Samantha today. Sounds like she'll be having the baby in the next week or so. She is very uncomfortable and can't wait until the baby is born. They don't know if it's a boy or a girl. Since she has two boys she's hoping for a girl
Shorter day today I didn't get in until 8 and I was out by 10:30
And I have many fascinating tales of title reviews, preparation of closing disclosures, CEMA requests gone wrong
-
I am sure you just can't wait
-
But since I am falling adleep you'll just have to wait
Goodnight
Muhamad Ali has died
I just read that. :(
The sky was crazy tonight
Gorgeous picture.
Agreed! Both of them are really cool!
-
All but the one I want: June Moon with Jack Cassidy, Susan Sarandon and Stephen Sondheim.
I have that...but right now I can't remember if I have the DVD or the VHS tape.
-
Good thing Sondheim didn't quit his day job.
;)
Good evening!
Hello, Tom!
Yes, it was a bit too jarring, especially having just been in Krakow which has a center square the town revolves around.
Keith will be pleased to know Rome isn't so bad since he is the one who wants to go there. My goal is the Amalie Coast.
-
The sky was crazy tonight
Wow!
-
More from the ball park
Beautiful!
-
I have been zoned out for most of the evening.
-
Is there flooding near your house, John G?
Flash flooding has occurred about 20 miles from my house in the city of New Braunfels and in downtown San Antonio. But not at my house. Yet.
No flooding Vibes!
-
My knee was really bothering me today.
Feel better Tom.
-
So, I popped a pain pill and a muscle relaxer around three this afternoon.
-
They finally kicked in by 5:30.
-
This season I have only watched one episode of NCIS LOS ANGELES. Tonight I tuned in, and it was the same damn episode!
-
Maybe that was the only episode they filmed this season.
-
Although, I doubt it.
