Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the soul of both brevity and wit, and now it is time for you to post until the brief cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ALLIACEOUS!
-
First after BK!
-
Sorry TCB I fell asleep watching the Tonys. During the Hamilton number
-
I awoke as it was ending a and discovered my iPad had run out f juice as well... So I plugged it in and went to bed
-
And the word of the day is: ALLIACEOUS!
Isn't there a line somewhere like "Don't dawdle, Alliaceous."
-
First after BK and vixmom!
-
I had some computer problems ordering the L.A. NOW AND THEN CD at first, but it looks like all the glitches were cleared up quickly and my order went through. After the clips, can't wait to have the CD!
-
So happy to hear vixmom will be having an easier time at work.
-
Good morning to all
-
Good morning, all.
-
Enjoying a nice slow one here.
-
Are we to actually have a warm and clear weekend?
That apparently is what the experts think.
-
I've never seen DR. T.
I think it's in my Stanley Kramer DVD collection, but I've yet to watch it.
-
We watched HAIL, CAESAR! last night.
I love the Coen Brothers movies and there is much in this one to enjoy, particularly for film buffs.
Unfortunately, the parts are much better than the whole.
-
TOD:
I'm not a big fan of "weird" movies. I prefer a cohesive storyline with strange dream sequences at a minimum.
When I was in college and on a foreign film kick, I saw LAST YEAR AT MARIANBAD. To me, it looked like the editor took all the individual shots from the film. tossed them up into the air and then pasted them back together as he pulled them out of the pile. That ended my foreign film kick.
-
I recorded THE CAMERAMAN with Buster Keaton off of TCM the other day. I've never seen it. Maybe we;ll watch it this weekend.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I did not want to get out of bed this morning, but I'm up. There were quite a few weird dreams last night, the only bit of them I remember is that I was sleeping in my bed in Ohio, and the light on my nightstand had burned out, so I went to retrieve another bulb. I had to cross railroad tracks after I got out of bed and the rocks on the tracks were painful to walk over.
-
In another I was participating in a folk music concert. I have no idea why.
-
Today I am working on Guys & Dolls.
-
I liked DR JANE's picture of Boaty McBoatFace.
-
TOD:
Red Garters
Invasion AKA Top of the Food Chain
-
I liked DR JANE's picture of Boaty McBoatFace.
;D
Thanks.

Saturday morning greetings! I have to go to an AAUW board meeting this morning and pack this afternoon. Tonight is the last Chautauqua, Mary Shelley portrayed by the same woman who brilliantly portrayed Marie Curie on Thursday. We've seen the same person portray multiple characters, but not in the same year. Susan Marie Frontczak is amazing!
-
It was a hectic week, so I'm very glad it's Saturday. I have a lot to do around here and errands, so it will be hectic Saturday, but it's still better.
-
That does sound like fun DR GINNY.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's been a long, hot day so far.
-
I got to the theater by 6:30 a.m. to usher. Sadly, something was wrong with the air system in the theater. The air conditioning was working, but an alarm kept going off. So, for the three and half hours I was there, about three of them were spent listening to this alarm.
-
Two!
-
I was there ushering while hordes of families were on hand to get their daughters (and the occasional son) ready for tomorrow's dance recitals.
-
It was sort of like herding cats.
-
Only cats are often more polite.
-
Actually, the vast majority of the people were polite. But beware of stage/dance/soccer moms.
-
Then I went and had brunch. A lovely fried oyster sandwich with egg and bacon on it.
-
That was an alarming story, DR John G.
-
TOD:
Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
Romance & Cigarettes
The Wizard of Gore
Fellini's City of Women
Brazil
The Saddest Music in the World
Delicatessen

That was an alarming story, DR John G.
I love a good pun, sir.
-
Off to do a little shopping.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I've been doing laundry and am now taking a little break. Cleaning is next. I really do need some help. So glad that TCB has Betzy to help him.
-
Get-lots-done vibes to DR Kerry.
-
I could use some of those myself.
-
That was an alarming story, DR John G.
which one? The one about ushering or the description of brunch? ;)
-
TCB, such a shame about your great-nephew's accident. Is he facing any sort of liability issues?
Vibes to him and to all involved.
-
I think it'd be wonderful if you (TCB) and Sandy could go to Las Vegas.
-
I'm up, I'm up - fell asleep at three and thankfully she of the Evil Eye did not come today, so I slept until noon for nine hours of sleep.
-
I enjoyed Dr T, but I'm not sure I would have in college. I think I'd have felt confused by it. I saw a lot of foreign films and other nonmainstream stuff, too.
-
TTFN.
-
Today was a soup kitchen day. I am tired
-
I am having a lazy day.
-
Me, too, DR ELMORE.....it's NICE.
Hello, DR JEANNE.
-
I am having a lazy day.
I have been too, but no more. I've been watching some TV episodes that were recorded on my DVR, but now I have to take a shower, get dressed and go outside. This weekend is Olympia's Pride celebration, and I want to be there for at least a bit of it before I have to go to tonight's show. So, I'm off.
Have a good day all!

Has anyone read THE SYMPATHIZER? The author is obviously extremely intelligent, the book well written, it received a Pulitzer prize for fiction, yet I am very sorry I didn't stop reading it sooner than I did.
-
I am looking forward to MR BK's report on the Disney Hall event.
-
Boatasaurus has been coaxed about thirty feet closer to the water.
-
According to the handlers, she'll touch the water about 2:30AM when the tide is high.
-
Good evening. Today we saw the tour of Newsies. Lots of fun.
-
:)
-

Ha!

Thanks for that. I was somewhat curious about reading it.
-
I really didn't get anything from a few other Pulitzer winners. The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is one that comes to mind.
-
Where is everyone today?
-
Had a great dinner tonight.
-
Friends and I wanted to go to a new Thai place tonight.
When we arrived, there was a sign saying the place was closed for the weekend because of Father's Day.
-
Weird.
-
So, we ended up at a new Italian restaurant that wasn't too far away and had some great food.
-
I like it when that happens.
-
But I ate too many carbs, including a watermelon panzanella. The croutons were flavored with citrus and a little balsamic, tossed with watermelon, almonds, mint, and olives. Nice balance of flavors.
-
Anyone know of cheap tickets to Crete?
-
This morning I got up and iron the church linens
-
Then I went up to church and met a friend and we set up communion in the chapel and the main sanctuary
-
The lovely Sara who normally cooks for the soup kitchen was running a luncheon for our Diakonia graduates today so I was in charge
-
She had very kindly done all the shopping and packed up all the things that were needed and left me notes as to where to find the frozen and Fran fooda
-
So I packed up my car with it all and headed over to the soup kitchen
-
We have 15 people at "The Bible" tonight, including my sister and her boyfriend.
-
I was concerned X because I don't usually handle the kitchen I run the dining room...
-
Also I knew our usual volunteers are all at graduation parties and weddings
-
I had put out a FB appeal on the church's site but I only had one response
-
But I shou,d not have feared
-
The usual cook from the Monday through Friday soup kitchen held I. That site had come down to help . Not on,y that he had already prpepRed some trays of food Nd offered to cook that which I had brought. Also there wee five volunteers for. The church where this is held
-
Then five more from my church showed up.
-
It all went very well and 73 were served
-
With seconds and take home boxes we served about 125 meals
-
Then we cleaned up and by 1:30 I was heading back to my church to return the left over supplies
-
Then I headed home and the Vixter and I went out to look at so,e lamps for her new apartment
-
Nice, Vixmom.
-
I'm not the world's biggest Aaron Sorkin fan, but I'm really enjoying Steve Jobs because of the screenplay.
-
One more ...
-
Just a little more Than a week before we head off to move her to Florida
-
Four!
-
This will be the last Sunday we will share a pew together
-
Next Sunday, her last at our church before leaving, she will serve as assisting minister
-
After buying the lamps we went for ice cream and wandered through the outlets
-
I am so going to miss my girl
-
I know it's not the same, Vixmom, but do you have Skype or Line or something like that, so you can see her when you talk to her?
-
I think I'm off to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Back from the penultimate Act One. Matinee tomorrow, and that's all she wrote.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
Act one went well. We just started act two and they all came back from intermission.
-
And we're done. Tonight's audience enjoyed the show. We has 16 tonight, so that helped.
-
I'm off.
Be back later. :)
-
Good evening!
-
Hello, George.
-
I hope the show is going well.
-
I've been doing laundry and am now taking a little break. Cleaning is next. I really do need some help. So glad that TCB has Betzy to help him.
You and me both.
-
TCB, such a shame about your great-nephew's accident. Is he facing any sort of liability issues?
Vibes to him and to all involved.
The police and all of the witnesses have said that there is no way that my nephew could have avoided the kid. The kid basically hit his car. However, the insurance company has told my niece that a jury could still side with the kid, making my nephew responsible for hundred of thousands of dollars in damages.
-
Today was his graduation party. It was nice to see him focusing on something other than the accident. The same for my niece, who is not handling the whole thing very well, either.
-
It was a nice party. It was a combined party for my great nephew and another friend who graduated with him.
-
I didn't know a lot of people at the party, which was okay.
-
They had a very nice turnout.
-
I really didn't get anything from a few other Pulitzer winners. The Brief, Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao is one that comes to mind.
Same here on both counts.
-
It all went very well and 73 were served
That is nice.
-
I'm not the world's biggest Aaron Sorkin fan, but I'm really enjoying Steve Jobs because of the screenplay.
We still haven't seen this.
-
I know it's not the same, Vixmom, but do you have Skype or Line or something like that, so you can see her when you talk to her?
We have switched from Skype to google. You can also chat with your phones during the day, not that I have done so or know how to do it.
-

Having the police on his side will help. Mega Vibes he does not have to defend himself!

I am glad they could celebrate.
-
But once again, I was puzzled how some of these boys manage to keep their pants from falling down completely.
-
And my older great nephew was there with his baby. Well, she isn't a baby anymore.
-
He really is a very good father.
-
Hello, George.
Hi, Tom.
-
Back from the concert about which more in the notes.
-
Today was not the transition weather day that they promised.
-
Instead we had rain (heavy at times), wind, thunder and lightening, and even a couple of funnel clouds.
-
They are now saying that tomorrow may be nice, with a high of only 72 degrees.
-
But it is still a big maybe.
-
Monday is still predicted to be close to 80, but then the temperatures are going to drop off again starting on Tuesday.
-
I think the local weather service has gone to using a Ouija Board to make their predictions.
-
They have not been right once this week.
-
Monday it will probably snow!
-
Oh well, in the Northwet summer never really arrives until after the Fourth of July.
-
I grew up watching fireworks from under an umbrella.
-
Tomorrow is my sister's birthday.
-
Tomorrow is my sister's wedding anniversary.
-
Tomorrow is Father's Day.
-
Tomorrow is Sunday.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Tomorrow is about twelve minutes away.
-
Tomorrow is my sister's wedding anniversary.
Happy Anniversary to your sister!
-
Tomorrow is another day.
-
The sun will come out tomorrow.
-
Tomorrow is my sister's wedding anniversary.
Happy Anniversary to your sister!
Thanks, George.
-
We must get off of this page.
-
Tomorrow is Father's Day.
Oh...that's right. I guess my sister and I need to talk about that. ::)
;)
-
Sandy and I are going to go to Las Vegas.
-
We bought the airline tickets yesterday.
-
Hopefully the temperatures will not be in the 120's in August.
-
One more post.
-
Six
-
Sandy and I are going to go to Las Vegas.
Nice! Hope you have a great time!
-
Tomorrow is the second day of Olympia's Pride. My sister is going to be at the PFLAG booth (she's on their board) at 10:00 am and wants me to be there, too.
-
I don't want to get up that early on a Sunday...but I said that I would.
-
Do you have a show tomorrow?
-
My time stamp is off by ten minutes.
-
My time stamp is off by ten minutes.
Mine's off by about 12 minutes. :o
-
Do you have a show tomorrow?
Yes, tomorrow night at 8pm. :P
-
Very weird. I have never noticed that before.
-
Do you have a show tomorrow?
Yes, tomorrow night at 8pm. :P
As of a couple of hours ago, we have no presold tickets. We can only hope that SOMEONE shows up. Our stage manager comes up from Centralia, so to just turn around and go home would be VERY inconvenient.
-
Actually, she is planning on coming up for the Pride celebration and parade, so it won't be a total waste.
-
Maybe you can pass out flyers at the PFLAG booth tomorrow
-
Maybe you can pass out flyers at the PFLAG booth tomorrow
I was actually thinking about that, but no one had gotten any handbills printed. And I don't have the file to have any printed myself.
-
Well, I need to go to sleep now. I have to get to the park in the morning to help my sister.
-
Good night, Tom.
