Well, you've read the notes, the notes were an experience, and now it is time for you to post until the experienced cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SNIGLET!
-
First after BK?
-
Yes, i guess so.
-
I finished a first draft of a big project at the tax office involving. Otherwise, nothing really new to reprot.
-
And even that is of questionable interest to anyone but m and the folks at the tax office.
-
good morning to all.
-
Since the end of February I have lost 45.6lbs. Only 30lbs to my next goal.
-
Congrats Mike!
-
when I was in my early 20,s on of my cousins was living in Newport Beach. I went out and spent a few days with her and we had a whirlwind trip a day at a resort in Palm Springs , a night at some nightclub in LA lunch at a beach side restaurant and dinner at Mr Chows
-
This time next week I will be driving a truck to Orlando
-
Time for work

Congratulations! Does having the weight off help your knee?

Today is the birthday of bank robber John Dillinger.
John has been good to me over the years. I've written about him many times (i.e. short stories, a movie). Indeed, I've been to Chicago's Biograph Theater where he "supposedly" met his end, and I even paid my respects at the grave of one of his gang members (Homer Van Meter) when I visited Fort Wayne, IN, a few years ago. (Who put the flowers on it?)
So, happy birthday, John!

That's wonderful, Michael!
-
I listened to the score from BRIGHT STAR last night. Enjoyed it very much. There are even some songs that you can walk out of the theater humming.
Too bad the play is closing.

Ditto!

Is anybody else here watching the new TV series, ANIMAL KINGDOM with Ellen Barkin?
I liked the Australian movie version a few years back with Jackie Weaver, but this series is very depressing. The actors are fine, but the story is not easy to follow. Too many characters and some of them look alike.
I've watched three episodes. Not sure I'll watch any more.

Good morning, all!

Wow-- congratulations!
-
It's a morning-- I know that much.
-
Yesterday, I accomplished vey little work on Guys & Dolls, so I must apply myself today. I think I will apply myself as well to some actual cooking and produce a large quantity of chicken soup, most of which which I'll freeze.
-
I missed MAJOR CRIMES this week! Completely forgot about it.
-
I do not like its new 10:00 time slot.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Today is a day for ketchuping on errands and chores.
Sounds exciting, no?
-
I just ate an everything bagel, toasted, half with butter and half with cream cheese.
Sounds exciting, no?
-
Lots of rain last night and this morning....and the rest of the day, they say.
And that's okay.
Nice notes.....and a nice reconnection for MR BK and his date.
Congrats to DR MICHAEL on his weight loss.....
-
This evening we are doing Act One Scene Three again, but everyone should be there.
-
The chore I look forward to the least is mowing the
weeds grass.
Sounds exciting, no?
-
I watched about ten minutes of the new version of TO TELL THE TRUTH......it is very obvious that the celebrities are given questions and comments - there was not one spontaneous moment.....so I don't need to watch it again.
-
Read all about it here:

We haven'the watched it and now I am glad we passed on it.

I am also pleased that I seem to have been the only one who had trouble opening the discussion.

I hate their new schedule. For the past seasons, the MAJOR CRIMES repeat of the following week was at 8:00 and the new episode at 9:00 on Mondays.
RIZZOLI & ISLES did the same schedule on Tuesday. Now they are both on Monday:
8:00 repeat of last week's RIZZOLI & ISLES
9:00 new RIZZOLI & ISLES
10:00 new MAJOR CRIMES and if you miss it, go screw yourself seems to be the TNT approach to things
-
I've spent too much time this morning on "the memoirs," and my cooking window is over. Off to Adelaide and Nathan Detroit.
-
Good Morning!
-
Last night I saw Motown: The Musical - while a little long, I really like this musical. It's the second time I've seen it. It's worth one night in the theatre to hear these songs and to learn a little about the history about Motown - whether it's true or not, I don't know - but for a jukebox musical, it'e one of the best.
-
In other news - the puppy which I thought was going to join DD Ben and me in August, is actually joining us on Monday! Miscommunication (not on my part) from the breeder. Well, it is what it is and I must spend my day cleaning up the apartment. I'm excited... not sure DD Ben is, but soon it will be DD's Ben and Leo (Ben is Benedict Francis and Leo is Leopold Pius)
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.

We are lucky, our system simply recorded at the new time.

VIBES LEO IS A GOOD PUPPY AND THAT BEN IS A GOOD BIG BROTHER!

Congrats, Michael!

Oh....and Nene Leakes is considered a celebrity......
Well, she has acted in scripted shows, so she's not exclusively a "reality show star." ::)
;)

Congrats on your new puppy, Matthew!
-
I had a nice walk this morning but there is nothing unusual about that.
-
Puppy vibes for DR MATTHEW & Co.
DR GEORGE - she has appeared on scripted shows...which her "reality" show is as well....but I wouldn't call her an "actress."

I looked at the schedule and i think it is also on tonight at 11pm.

Hello, everyone.
-
I was supposed to be in Beverly Hills today, just a couple blocks from Mr Chow's, but plans were changed. My neighbor downstairs was scheduled for a procedure on his back. It's one of those where they won't let you go home on your own, so I was the designated driver. The nurse called him early this morning and said they're postponing it. Apparently, one of his labs was too high. Poor guy. He's been trying to get this taken care of for several months. Between my availability and his it was difficult to schedule and we'd both put today aside for it. Oh, well.
-
Suddenly my day freed up. Ah! Grocery shopping! Sound familiar, DR Chas? As there was nothing here for dinner it was actually an attractive option.
-
Since the end of February I have lost 45.6lbs. Only 30lbs to my next goal.
Congrats. I hope you reach your goal and are happy with it.

Better than drama, yes?
-
I've spent too much time this morning on "the memoirs," and my cooking window is over. Off to Adelaide and Nathan Detroit.
I didn't know you were actively working on it. I'm glad to hear it.
-
The heat wave here is abating. Thankfully.
-
I look forward to photos of the new DD Leo.

TTFN.

Was Trader Joe's included in your rounds?
It was in mine! :)

Anatomy of a Broadway Flop: Why These 4 Shows Failed
"The woeful wordplay writes itself. “American Psycho” met a gruesome end. “Tuck Everlasting” was not immortal. “Bright Star” ran out of fuel. And “Disaster!” proved to be — well, you can finish that one yourself.
"Broadway is a brutal business, in which real success is enjoyed by a handful of shows, while a vast majority crash and burn. And this season was especially tough, because one show, “Hamilton,” gobbled up much of the attention, enthusiasm and awards that motivate potential ticket buyers..."

Wednesday afternoon greetings from Orlando! We had a smooth trip from Macon and have settled in here for a week. First things first - we're doing laundry!
-
"Yes, we have no detergent
We have-a no detergent today."
-
"Yes, we have no detergent
We have-a no detergent today."
Well, we do, DR Ron, but it cost a fortune in the hotel gift shop!

I always tell people, laundry detergent makes a tasteful, thoughtful gift, but i still prefer Godivas.
-
Barbara Cook's new biography arrived today. I have read all about Candide.
-
Good evening!
-
Page 3?
-
So - I had a patty melt and no fries or onion rings for my main meal o' the day. Check.
-
I picked up one tiny package. Check.
-
No tree people because, as always, the business manager has to get approval and that approval sometimes takes years although I've told him at the very least they have to come this week to trim back around the DirecTV dish or they can take over paying those bills, and also cut the little fruit balls that are relentlessly falling from the main palm tree and that are landing everywhere including the pool.
-
Aside from that I have spent most of the afternoon with my head in the cloud.
-
But I'll save that for the notes. The Cloud is so baffling to me on so many levels and everything on every device was not set up properly but hopefully after hours and hours it should all be working right now.
-
BK
Did you ever record at the MSR (aka Right Track Recording) in NYC?
-
Oh....and Nene Leakes is considered a celebrity......
Who?
-
After our laundry was done, we ventured out onto International Drive looking for a dinner place. Decided on Friendly's, which hit the spot, then drove a bit more on I-Drive until it got dark. We're in for the night and looking forward to a slow morning tomorrow.

Thanks, DR Vixmom! Richard is pushing 70 and I'm on Medicare and this is the first time either of us has driven to Florida. We've flown here together twice, but driving down is a "rite of passage."
Hope your trip next week is smooth. Are going to try to meet up on I-95?

Well, one of my staff is retiring at the end of the month, and today I was looking at the eight applications for potential interviewees. Tomorrow morning, my supervisor, the other person on the hiring team and I will meet to discuss said potential interviewees. We do have two in-house candidates. The person who is retiring was the person I hired to replace me when I became the supervisor of the department, so she was the first person that I hired. Now I'm replacing her. Things are certainly changing.
-
And...
-
...since...
-
...we're so darned close...
-
4OUR!!
-
And on that note (D-natural), I'm going home.
Until later. :)
-
I'm off to bed. I've been working on the memoirs, and it's time to write about my eccentric landlady my first year of grad school. I need more time for her.
-
Good evening, all.
-
Where is everybody this evening?
-
Congratulations, DR Michael, on the weight loss.
-
Best of luck, DR Matthew, with the new puppy. We want photos.

Interesting read. Thank you, sir.

Watching the original "My Sister Eileen" with Rosalind Russell leading a fine cast that includes Janet Blair, George Tobias, . It's another in this screwball comedy series and while the acting is good, the movie is kinda creaky.

Larry, Moe and Curly managed to make a surprise appearance at the very end of the film.

Gratuitous post No. 100.
-
We did record at Right Track several times, but not that one - I think the one we used was in the 50s somewhere - I'm sure we did Bells Are Ringing there.
-
In the Cast Recordings group on Facebook someone started a Follies thread about my remix (it happens a few times a year) and suddenly we sold a bunch of copies - it's like, those people had no idea we'd done it - how on earth could they have missed that news for the past five years?

Hello Tommy

Since the end of February I have lost 45.6lbs. Only 30lbs to my next goal.
That is terrific, Michael. Congratulations.

Hi, Debby!
-
Hi, Laura!
-
What a day! What a day.
-
I have no idea what that means.
-
Good evening and good night. I am exhausted. In a good way.
I'm glad you're not one of the Arizona hikers debilitated in the heat.
-
Nicky decided we should get up at 5:50 am.
-
I considered going back to bed, but why waste the morning.
-
So, instead, I got on the internet and wasted my morning.

One more post.

Then it was off to lunch with some old actor's.
-
Going with my craving from last night, I went for the spaghetti and meat balls (with penne instead of spaghetti).
-
It was okay and it satisfied the craving, but the meat sauce was just so-so.
-
I make better sauce, or I used to make better sauce.
-
I am really concerned about one of our old actors.
-
He has gone through a very painful and very unexpected divorce.
-
He really looked like hell today.
-
Good night, all.
-
Fortunately he starts teaching a summer theater course starting right after the Fourth of July.
-
I think that will be a positive time for him.
-
Good night, John.
-
He has gone through a very painful and very unexpected divorce.
That's too bad.
-
Ah, it is lonely at the bottom.
-
After lunch, I came home and tried to fight the urge to take a nap.
-
I was going to watch a movie, but I decided that watching YouTube would keep me more involved.
-
And it worked, I didn't nap.

It is.

Gee, I don't know. I think probably FB. I can ask her in the morning.

I think she sent it on Saturday.
-
I will have to email her tomorrow. I have to close my tablet so Keith can sleep.

I was just down in my kitchen getting a near-midnight snack.

My computer takes a little bit of time to turn on. :P

Got it! You can post again. I just need to upload it, now.
