Well, you've read the notes, the notes were tired, and now it is time for you to post until the tired cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CAMPESTRAL!
-
The first tired post, after the even more tired BK!
-
First not-so-tired post after TCB!
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.

Well, yesterday, I was transferring some video files from the memory card in my tablet to another flash drive to free up some space, but something happened while the files were transferring and the memory card from my tablet essentially died. The only thing that I could do with the memory card was to reformat it, so at least I don't have to get a whole new card. I had transferred a lot of my apps to the memory card so that the internal memory woudn't fill up as quickly, so I can just reinstall them, but I did lose a lot of pictures that I took. That was the sad part. :(
-
Sorry to hear about that, George. Is it possible you have some of those photos in old emails that have been saved in your in box, or on the net?
-
Good morning, all!
-
This is going to be a quiet day. I wil talk to Joshie and hopefully run down to City Center for a couple of things.
-
Until then, I will finish the ttle song for Guys & Dolls.
-
Good morning to all.
-
ASK BK
Has there ever been a release of Elmer Bernstein's only Academy Award winning score for Thoroughly Modern Millie. I only know of one cut that has been released/recorded: the Biplane sequence (Carol Channing's first appearance in the film)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thanks, BK, for the heads up on Fantastic Planet and The Manchurian Candidate. I never saw the former, and I guess I need to put aside my UK Blu-ray of the latter and pick up the Criterion on my next stop at B&N.
-
It's garbage and recycling day; we get flood irrigation sometime between now and the middle of the night; I have doctor's appointment, and I also have to go to work. It's full day.
-
Fantastic Planet was released in the US in December 1973. I'd love to know where it played in Los Angeles.
-
It's garbage and recycling day; we get flood irrigation sometime between now and the middle of the night; I have doctor's appointment, and I also have to go to work. It's full day.
And when you're tired, you're tired.
-
I have only seen Fantastic Planet on television, and I don't think I watched it all the way through.....
-
So last night we had our Family Night....and grand total of six people showed up....and one left at intermission. They enjoyed the show and gave us some good comments. We have a run thru tonight and then we open on Thursday.
This picture was in the local paper today....it shows off our set to better advantage:

Oh, when I got home I also listened to a CD some guy had sent me. It was very entertaining, so I decided to go online and write a review.

How do you get flood irrigation?
-
DR George I hope you find your photos saved elsewhere.
-
POOR NICKY!
Will you be taking your trip to Vegas during that that time?
-
I've heard from Joshie, who asked me to come by after 11, so I'll finish up the G&D title song before I head out. I also spent a little time finishing the outline for the memoirs. Tales will be told, blood spilled, friends praised, and reputations of some ruined!
-
My first very tired "Good Morning, All" for the day.
-
I seem to be tired all the time any more. Tired when I get up (but, not this morning for some reason) and tired when I get home and, sometimes, too tired to go to sleep right away.
-
OTOH (that's you-know-what in internet lingo):
Life is good.
-
A "tarnished" reputation...m-o-o-n, that spells "tarnished reputation". Lawse yes.
-
I'm up, I'm up = six hours of sleep that should have been eight, but I had a dream in which I heard the doorbell ringing and it woke me up - of course there was no one there, but I always get up to check because sometimes it really is the doorbell. I hate when that happens.
-
But nice to wake up to the lovely review by Jrand.

Nope and it would be a lot of work to make happen and I doubt it would sell enough to make anyone interested enough to do it.
-
Raspberries!

Soy Sauce? SOY SAUCE???!!!!

I'm sorry you can't retire yet. Is this from your drugs or from the condition that you need the drugs for?
-
Wednesday afternoon greetings! I've been to see my cardiologist for a routine check-up. Now I'm home for lunch and, maybe, a trip to the grocery before Richard's chiropractor appointment at 3. I may delay the shopping until after that...
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Waiting not too patiently for the pool man so we can have a nice, strong chat.
-
I am home from City Center and my day out. I've got a couple of scores to bind and that will take more time than I'd like since I have to drag everything out and set up the paraphernalia.
-
Sorry to hear about that, George. Is it possible you have some of those photos in old emails that have been saved in your in box, or on the net?
Thanks, Fred. No. I only had them on my tablet. Oh, well. That's life.
;)
-

The Manchurian Candidate is one of the titles that I ordered a couple of days ago. They should arrive sometime next week. ;D
-
DR George I hope you find your photos saved elsewhere.
Thanks, but I didn't move them at all. Live and learn.
-
Pool man is here and heard me loud and clear. Hopefully I will have a working pool and a working remote control and a pool that has blue rather than green water.

Blue pools are much nicer than green ones.
-
I am glad to have my phone back. If I were out walking I could enjoy it.
-
The refrigerator company sent another repairman, and this time they approved a new door for us. The original repairman wanted to do this on his first or second visit. Sooo, after almost a year of this they finally approved the door. We should have begun arguing for a new frig much sooner.
-
I hope the new door matches the the rest of the frig.
-
We are a bit curious where they will find a door to a frig that has been discontinued. I suppose they still have spare parts. Our mistake was buying a frig that has been discontinued. The size fit our odd space and it was a good price.
Well, it wasn't worth the price.

I sort of liked the idea of the MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE remake when I read the cast list....and then I watched it - it was terrible.
To begin with, they gave Mrs. Iselin a first name - Eleanor, sort of sounds like Hillary, doesn't it? And Meryl Streep wore her hair exactly like HRC and spoke and moved like her.... NOW idiots writing about the ORIGINAL film, call Angela Lansbury's character "Eleanor".....

That's just wrong. :P
-
Well. goddam!
I had everything ready to use the binder but I cannot put my hands on my box of mylar covers! I have no idea where the fat hell that damned carton can be in the chaos of this apartment, and it's working my last nerve.
-
Use your pencil as a divining rod DR ELMORE.
-
It's been half an hour. I hope he's finding them!
-
I just ordered another carton of 100 sheets. I was so pissed off.
Of course, now that I have placed the order, I will probably fall over the carton here and break my neck
-
Now, here's the Big Question:
Is anyone coming in on Aug. 1 ro see this Appalachian turkey? The York most likely will send no RSVP until the week before the reading and I will be tied up in rehearsal. So, I'm beginning a list since the place holds no more than 200 seats and a lot of the audience is a regular group of York attendees.
-
The first is a Monday and I am free that entire day -- so, absolutely -- if invited, you betcha!

Dear DR Elmore, as much as we'd love to be there, I don't think Richard should fly until his eyes straighten out. His follow-up with the opthalmologist isn't until August 3.
In other news, I chatted last night at MUM with your friend "Reno Sweeny" and today we became Facebook friends.
-
I just ran into my former super, and I am really happy to report that he's found work in New Hampshire through tenants in another of our landlord's buildings on West 82. He and his wife are moving to Dover this week. I am so happy that he's got work, and I wish him well.

I hope it will go well. We have a lot of new cast for this reading and they have a shitload of music to learn. By the time I decide if it will be an embarrassment or something good, it will be on top of me.
-
Good evening!
-
Happy Belated Birthday, DR Cillaliz!! Sorry I missed it yesterday.
-
News has broken in our family that, as of August 15, our niece Rev. Amy will be senior pastor at First United Methodist Church in Springboro, OH. It's about 20 minutes from our house and brings her home to the county where she grew up and where her mother still lives. We are thrilled and looking forward to having 2 more great nephews and a great niece nearby.

Thanks, DR Jane!

Keith put potatoes in the oven to bake. When he went to take the out he realized the oven wasn't working. We never want the oven to stop working, however, it is extra inconvenient as company is arriving tomorrow. At least we didn't need the oven for the dinner we have planned.
-
That's some fine news about the super, DR Elmore. Glad to hear that.
-
And DR Ginny, what great news about your niece. Congrats!
-
Thanks, DR ChasSmith!
-
Wonderful news about your niece, Ginny
-
Elmore, I am happy to hear your friend has found a new job
-
Jane I am sorry to hear that your oven decided to give up the ghost
-
Thanks DR Vixmom. I remembered I have oatmeal cookie dough in the freezer to be baked tomorrow. Oh well. We also have frozen bagels for breakfast that will be more difficult. Keith puts them on a low oven to cook so they are toasty on the outside and soft inside. I only have half a bagel but it also does well in there. The toaster is a tight fit for these bagels.

It surprises me how often we have received packages in the mail that don't say who they are from, the shipper just sends them without a name. Fortunately we have always figured out who they were from by the contents.
Today we received two bags of cherry Lifesavers. The bags are filled with individually wrapped lifesavers. They will stay fresh and I can keep them in my pockets for when we are walking.
I know who they came from because I had a roll of lifesavers when our friends were here and told them they could have any flavor except cherry. I would call out the other flavors and ask who wanted it since I wasn't eating them. I do eat the lemon ones too.

Thanks to TCB an Kevin H for the birthday greetings
-
I have really been dragging this summer. I have three things that need to get done this week and I just can't make myself do them. It's got to happen tomorrow. I think a lot of it is the heat and humidity....but man...
-
Good evening!
-
My goodness.
-
Page three at nine o'clock.
-
I hope someone else shows up.
-
Ginny, congratulations to your niece.
-
And sounds like a much shorter drive than Lima.
-
One more post.

Page Four
-
Greetings, 1 Guest.
-
What is your favorite Slurpee flavor?
-
Jane, I won't be leaving for Las Vegas until August 7.
-
Nicky has his procedure on Tuesday, July 19.
-
My back is really bad today.
-
I would probably do better if I just stayed home for a couple of days and didn't have to keep taking my scooter apart and putting it back together.
-
But I can't stand staying in the house every day without getting out and about.
-
I suppose I could take a little scooter ride in the alley.
-
It wouldn't be a very long ride.
-
Oh well, a nice ride down on the waterfront sounds a lot better than an alley ride.
-
It is supposed to be very nice tomorrow.
-
77 degrees.
-
That will be the high for the week, and then we start cooling a little bit every day.
-
We are having a heck of a time getting to 80 degrees this summer.
-
That probably means a very hot August and September.
-
Nice to see you, George.
-
I bought some ice cream today, but I haven't had any of it.
-
YET!
-
The old actor's lunch today was okay.
-
I picked the place so we could sit on the patio by the waterway.
-
It is right below the Tacoma Glass Museum.
-
Just before lunch, some real dark clouds rolled in, and it looked like it was going to rain at any moment.
-
77 degrees.
Nice!
-
So, instead of outside, we ended up packed inside with the rest of the crowd.
-
Nice to see you, George.
Hi, Tom!
-
I should have just had a bowl of clam chowder.
-
It surprises me how often we have received packages in the mail that don't say who they are from,....
Speaking of packages in the mail that don't say who they are from...I received a letter today, hand written with no name on the return address and specifically addressed to me at my correct address. I opened it and it was a hand written letter from some woman named Pam (not my former staff member who retired last month), "warmly invit[ing me] to attend a very important free event. So that others too may taste Jehovah's goodness, we invite as many as possible to attend with us."
WTF?? :o Where the hell did she/they get my name and address?? And WHY the F*CK would they think that an openly gay atheist would be interested in their "message"?? They obviously don't know me, at all. :P
-
But I saw a salad that sounded good to go with the chowder.
-
It also included a flyer with the date and time. I didn't pay attention to when, but it's going to be at the Tacoma Dome.
-
Unfortunately, I misread the price of the salad.
-
Lunch ended up closer to the price of a good dinner.
-
Five
-
George, it is very easy to get anyone's name and address through the computer.
-
Or they could have bought one of those lists of names.
-
At least Pam got your attention!
-
George, it is very easy to get anyone's name and address through the computer.
True. I don't doubt that...but still! >:(
-
Anyway, as soon as lunch ended, the sun came out and the skies became a beautiful blue.
-
At least Pam got your attention!
You got that right!
-
For some reason, I keep thinking that today is Saturday.
-
I was sitting here trying to decide what shirt to wear to church tomorrow.
-
I wish I could be in NYC for Larry's show in August.
-
Hell, I wish I could be in New York, period.
-
Not really a wheelchair friendly city.
-
Should I have some ice cream or not?
-
Perhaps I should wait until tomorrow.
-
I did open the bag of Skittles.
-
It would help if they stopped showing TV commercials for Cold Stone Creamery.
-
It would also help if the ice cream would stop calling my name.
-
I don't think I have any plans for the rest of the week.
-
I know that tomorrow is wide open.
-
I need to go take my medications and (maybe) check out the ice cream.
-
Should I have some ice cream or not?
Perhaps I should wait until tomorrow.
Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today?
;)
-
Oh, and change computers.
-
I know I am strange & rude ;D
At least you're not obnoxious and disliked.....(1776 reference)
:D
Thanks.

Our friend said there wasn't an option to say who the candy was from. She didn't doubt we would know.
Their daughter is doing very well after a lumpectomy on Monday. She could use some vibes that they got all of the cancer out.
-
Jane, I won't be leaving for Las Vegas until August 7.
I couldn't remember.
-
Oh well, a nice ride down on the waterfront sounds a lot better than an alley ride.
Yes it does. I thought you can scooter to the waterfront from your place.

Was it good?
-
At least Pam got your attention!
😀
-
It was beautiful today and we had a nice breeze.
-
Tomorrow should be our warmest day. We might even reach 80. I hope it continues to stay nice enough to have dinner outside on Friday night.
-
Oh well, a nice ride down on the waterfront sounds a lot better than an alley ride.
Yes it does. I thought you can scooter to the waterfront from your place.
No, the hills are too steep for my scooter. I have to drive down to the waterfront and park, but it is worth it.
-
It is beautiful there.
-
I skipped the ice cream for tonight.
-
It is beautiful there.
It is now, but it has only been developed in the last twenty years.

Back from a fun dinner.
