Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written on the other side of midnight, and now it is time for you to post until the midnight cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AMBROSIAL!
-
First post following the post of BK!
-
good morning to all

Good morning, all.
-
Stupid dreams and a tossing and turning sleep.
Well, I'm up. Bah, humbug, and good riddance to all of it.
-
Have to take another look at the refrigerators we saw yesterday, possibly order one (I hope), then the rest of the day is mine.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Last night was a piss-poor night of sleep. I finally passed out some time after 2:00.
-
I remember a bit of one dream in which I was trying to say goodbye to the vixter before she moved to Florida, and I was posting signs in a window across from the windows of DR vixmom's office.
-
This afternoon at 3:30 I have auditions for Alice ann, the little girl in Moonshine & Mistletoe. I think we are seeing four girls. I hope we are also seeing a few boys to play her brother Duncan. There must be a few Little Cosettes and Gavroches looking to be in something!
-
Yesterday was a strange day of anger and rage, I hope my internal machinery have calmed down.
-
Today would have been my mother's 93rd birthday. I think about her a lot, but I don't so much miss her as miss the mother I wish she'd been. Whenever I get into my petty, jealous, resentful moods, I realize I do have her genes. I wish I were more like my dad.
-
Good morning!
-
Monday morning greetings! Another poor sleeper checking in. I woke up at 3:15 screaming from something frightening (not sure what) in a dream and then at 6:30 thinking about Mom's situation. Sat in our kitchen drinking coffee and watching a thunderstorm roll in.
-
Rainy day - but it is all mine. I have decided not to do anything today since it is my last Monday off until after 1776 in August.
I will do my regular shopping tomorrow.
-
I like all of the already mentioned scores from M. Legrand.....and also:
Les uns et les autres with music by Legrand and Others.
-
I watched the last 15 minutes of The Match Game last night. Alex Baldwin was okay as the host, but the some of the "stars" acted like fools - getting up from their chairs and running around.....standing up and looking at what others were writing down and making stupid faces. The worst was the actress from the new GHOSTBUSTERS who never shut up and acted like she was star of the show. She is not funny in the previews for the movie, and I can't imagine she is funny in the actual movie. Her name is Leslie something.....
The only funny moment was when Alex commented on her actions and said: "This is the worst thing I have seen since I started hosting this show....and I have been doing it for a week now...."

Back. Fridge bought. Oy!
It'll be delivered Thursday.
Had to do it. The current one gave us twenty-two good years, and that's old for a fridge. It's still running fine, which is kind of sad, but it's developed a leak that would not be easily or cheaply fixed -- and, you know, not on a 22-year old one. So there it is.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It's a rainy day in Louisville, too.
-
Thanks for the nice comments last night, Jane.
-
TOD:
I'll second all of the comments made so far. And add Umbrellas of Cherbourg and Cleo from 5 to 7.
-
This is just bizarre. But if you love the shimmy, then you'll love this.

There's a whole website on the Scopitone films. I love Bobby Vee short and Joi Lansing!

Good morning.

I think we have our Duncan:

So, we're only seeing the little girls today.
And next Monday, we begin rehearsals! I'm gonna hyperventilate and pass out.
-
!! 2 !!
About time, too!
-
Or should I type "About time, two!"

I doubt your next one will last anywhere near that. Make sure when you purchase the new frig that they will take the old one away for you.
-
Thanks for the nice comments last night, Jane.
You are welcome.

I too had trouble sleeping and as a result slept in this morning. Keith woke me at 7:45 as our company was up.
-
Our good friends have left. It was a nice visit, and it is also nice to have our home back. Keith is cleaning the guest room and bathroom and I am doing towels and bedding.
-
Yes nice photos DR JANE!
Looks like a good kid DR ELMORE....yes, that Scopitone website is good for wasting several hours of your life.
-
What kind and color of icebox did you get DR CHAS SMITH?
-
I wanted to get a bottom freezer when we got our new one three years ago....but they were all too wide to fit our fridge spot.....
-
Looks like a good kid DR ELMORE.
The offer just went in. I'm pretty sure we've got him for the next week.
Unless a better paying job comes along.
-
That video isn't playing for me for whatever reason, but congratulations, DR Elmore!
And rehearsals! Exciting!
-
CD arrived! :)
-
The dream I was having right before I woke up this morning (not the screaming one) was about my having to drive this big, honkin' motor home somewhere. Kind of how I feel about managing Mom's affairs...
-

Are you getting a picture and a Play button?

Here's his audition for "School of Rock"

I'm up, I'm up - eight-and-a-half hours of sleep - or thereabouts.
-
Good morning, good day!
How are you this beautiful day?
-
I's Monday in Oakland CA.
As I think of it, though, it's MournDay...mourning the too-fast-departed weekend and the first-day-of-work-week.
-
It's an overcast day for some reason.
Rain is most assuredly out of the question.
Perhaps it's mostly "marine layer".
Temps are supposed to be in upper 60s for Oakland.
-
Yes nice photos DR JANE!
Thank you.

Yes, with an error message. Played fine just now on the iPad. I think my PC browser wasn't handling the file type.
Good kid!
-
BK, the Needle Park CD is phenomenal.
-
Panic in Needle Park arrived here on Saturday....
-
Glad they're arriving so quickly.

Damn! I got caught in the downpour, which began shortly before the bus arrived at my stop.
-
We saw four little girls, all cute as buttons. My favorite, Maddie, has commitments so I believe she is out of the running. Colette read well, but her singing was tentative. Ivy is 4 feet tall, seven, just adorable, and sings well enough to cast. Elle, seven years old and a bundle of hyperactivity, also was a hoot and she read well, but she needs to learn to sing.
Er thoml we have Colin, but DJ wants to see a boy from MATILDA tomorrow as a possibility if something happens with Colin.
-
Anyone care to recommend which of Ned Rorem's diaries should be jumped into first? Otherwise, I'm inclined to start with the 1950s and 1960s (Paris, New York, Later...).
For now, I want 'em on Kindle, which those are.

DR ELMORE you need a big umbrella like the Morton Salt girl.

Hello, everyone.
-
Is BK the only one here who slept well?
I had trouble falling asleep, then woke at 4 am with my heart racing after a dream about a traffic stop. It was a couple hours before I could fall asleep again.
-
Something MUST be going on in the Heavens. I thought the angry Mars energy had passed.
-
Vibes of serenity and calm to all!
Yes, worldwide.
-
Colin is a very sweet boy. I hope you are able to cast him. And your pick of the girls.
-
My motto has always been to buy quality, take care of it, and keep it forever. However, most kitchen appliances are just not designed to last anymore. After all, everyone remodels their kitchen every ten years, right? I think you made the right decision. Be glad the old refrigerator lasted as long as it did.
-
TTFN.

Yep - the guy from Sears who installed our dishwasher a year and a half ago as much as told us that appliances are designed to die sooner than they used to.

I know, but I can't carry an umbrella, my bag, and my cane. It's not easy.
I prefer to wear a cap that covers my glasses & face and wear something with a hood I can pull up over my head. I rarely carry an umbrella.

The saga of the superyacht (aka Boatasuarus as Keith has dubbed it) continues.
-
Colin is a very sweet boy. I hope you are able to cast him. And your pick of the girls.
See the poster. We did very nicely, I'm happy to report.
-
It has been moved to our little marina to begin its river and ocean trials.
-
Fun facts gleaned from the crew - Cost: $32 million dollars; Fuel capacity: 16,000 gallons of diesel (enough for a Transatlantic crossing); Filler-up cost: $40,000; Annual maintenance: $1 million; Monthly rental (when not in use by owner): $200,000.

Yup...it's called built-in obsolescence. :P

Gosh, you could buy a NY apartment for $32 million.
-
Really, how big of an apartment?
-
Now this is exciting!
Which of the girls is it? I can't read her name.

Now I'm reading it that way, too! Oy!
Slept WELL!

My impression is that you can buy something very nice starting around $20M. Our NY DRs may wish to set me straight. I only read the online ads and articles.

Ivy. My second choice. Maddie is busy next week
-
The poster has been canceled. Some cast unhappy with names and photos.
New one tomorrow!
-
OY!
-
Did a jog - two-and-a-half miles so worked off most of my salad and no bagel or any other bread. Eating again in forty-five minutes.

Some people just have too much money.

;D

So that was you!

Whew - glad I didn't share it on Facebook!
-
Good evening. Well, we almost got rain. But the storm went around us.
-
The rain arrived here just as we were leaving work... Yes I left work on time
-
Tomorrow is one of my coworkers birthday. So I popped over to Costco and bought a couple of cakes
-
One is a chocolate cake with chocolate mouse and a layer of chelate on top, the other is a vanilla cake with vanilla mousse and topped with fresh berries
-
Then I popped back to the office to decorate and put the cakes in the fridge
-
I had already gone to the dollar store over the weekend and picked up some birthday stuff.
-
I also, picked up some lovely strawberries, blueberries and seedless watermelons. I will make a fruit salad in the morning
-
Vixmom, sounds like a great time will be had by all! :D
-
And on that note (G-natural), I'm going home.
Until later.
-
And if I have time perhaps get some croissants on the way
-
Now this is exciting!
-
Is BK the only one here who slept well?
New glasses, and I read this as:

Do tell.
-
Hi, 1 guest.
-
What's your favorite sour beer?
-
Well, we're on page five.
-
Page five? Really?
-
So really you coulda heard a pin drop.
-
What the pin was dropping I'ma don't know.
And I'ma don't care.
-
My friend Bill came down from Dayton today and we hit a few bars, a few restaurants and a few shops. Walked the footbridge over the Ohio River today, too. Relaxing afternoon.
-
Time to pack. I leave in the morning.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good evening!
-
Who wants to show us where the start button is?
I will!
-
$200,000 for a month isn't bad, but the cost of the crew would kill you.
-
However, $200,000 a month makes the cost of a suite on the Queen Mary II look pretty reasonable.
-
I slept great last night. And I didn't sleep with Jeanne or BK.
-
Today was pretty cloudy, but no real rain.
-
I met my recently retired friend, Diane, for lunch today.
-
Tomorrow we may have a little rain, but then we are going to start our climb to our first 80 degree day of the summer.
-
Hopefully, by the weekend; but, if not, next Monday.
-
Of course, as soon as we reach the 80 degree days is when I start complaining about the heat.
-
But, every complaint is another post.
-
WHEEL OF FORTUNE at 10:00 p.m. Thank you Republicans.
-
I am really nervous about getting Nicky into the carrier in the morning.
-
I bought a new soft-sided carrier, which I hope he will like better.
-
If I don't get him in on the first attempt, I am screwed.
-
If he gets away, there is no telling where he will hide.
-
And being in the chair, I will never catch him.
-
This specialist charges a fee for cancelled appointments in less that 48 hours, but I will just have to pay it.
-
One more post.
-
Six
-
Maybe if I explain to the doctor's office that I am crippled, they will cut me some slack.
-
I probably should have asked someone to come help me, but I was afraid that it would spoke Nicky.
-
Damned if I do, damned if I don't.
-
Nick has been staying away from me all evening.
-
I think he is a mind reader.
-
Had a very nice dinner with Sami and her mom, then we came back here and she read through her Urinetown scenes and I gave her a few pointers. Then she wanted to sing through Annie and we did that - she's performing it at the ALS benefit.
-
I think he is a mind reader.
I was going to say psychic, but I was worried about what auto-correct would do to it.
-
Apparently nothing.
-
Maybe tonight will be the night I can't sleep.
-
She is certainly a talented young lady, BK.
-
Page six? Really?
-
George, I received the package in the mail today. I will pass it on to Sharry on Thursday when we have lunch.
-
I received no package in the mail today - of course, I didn't go to the mail place.
-
$200,000 for a month isn't bad, but the cost of the crew would kill you.
I'm sure sure 😄
-
Heard from my restorer expert and he thinks he can make what we have sound great - so we're saving another soundtrack. This one is fairly short, but I think we're able to pair it with another score from a film by the same director.
-
Time to take my medications, and to change Nicky's litter box.
-
Done.
-
Hello, 0 Guests.
-
George, I received the package in the mail today. I will pass it on to Sharry on Thursday when we have lunch.
Great! Have you seen it? If you watch it and like it, I can make you a copy...if you don't know how to copy DVDs, yourself. I don't want to assume amything.

I don't know that last title.
