Well, you've read the notes, the notes were befuddled, and now it is time for you to post until the befuddled cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SONOROUS!
-
First post after BK!
-
Tom, yesterday you asked, "Why can't you set the time for the meeting?" We were limited as to when they could see us because the reps are coming from out of state and they have other places to go.
-
It'll be fine. I just like complaining about having to get up earlier than usual. :D
-
I loved the FNM podcast. MR BK's interview was most entertaining.
We have had two HHW denizens interviews to listen to.....
-
Roof work continues.
Well there were TWO of the leads who were out of rehearsal last night.....now I know which two people are really slowing us down.....
-
DR VIXMOM I play New York delegate Lewis Morris.....courteously.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
Got some stuff to accomplish today, then a dress rehearsal to schlep everything to this evening.
-
And so it goes.
-
Another 90-degree day today.
And another tomorrow.
-
And so it goes.
-
Good morning, all! I hate this weather.
-
Script rehearsal this afternoon and no music. I'm a bit worried about how much will be forgotten tomorrow.
-
I will not get to the FNM podcast for a couple of days, but I really look forward to it.
-
Only Wednesday? It seems to have taken a long time to get here. And it's only the beginning of Wednesday.
-
Nice memories from DR TCB last night.
-
I didn't see this posted, but sad to those who enjoyed her when she was on commercials, though she later Became the subject of investigations.
This is the obituary for the beloved-by-many TV psychic known as "Miss Cleo," who died so young

We used to sell her Tarot Card Deck at the World of Wisdom. I bought a CASE of them on EBAY for $20.....sold them for $5 a deck. Very popular with the populace.
-
Note to self: never ever spill anything on your computer table.
Spoo!
-
Good morning.
-
Reading some promising early reviews of the remake of PETE'S DRAGON
-
Wednesday
morning afternoon greetings! I managed to sleep until after 8, which was very nice. Took Richard for his chiropractor appointment and some other errands. Did a couple of household chores when we got home, finished the newspaper, and - blam! - it's after noon. Contemplating lunch and the rest of my day...
-
DR Elmore: Oy!
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep. The question is to jog now or later? Maybe later.
-
Then again, maybe now.
-
In other news, I've been cleaning up even more wrong notes and lousy Finale enharmonics from this GYPSY book in addition to those I'd found previously.
(Some of the latter were so bad I couldn't comprehend what a chord was -- and jeez, I'm kind of familiar with how these songs sound.)
-
My Ask BK anything question:
Would you expound upon, please, any variation of what you believe has gone to hell in a hand basket? There are SO MANY THINGS that I feel fit this particular bill.
What is one of your favorites?
-
As a matter of fact, I'm interested to read anyone else's thoughts in the vein of "I think _____ has gone to hell in a hand basket."
-
Is it just me or this a slow day?
-
Page Two.
-
Tom, yesterday you asked, "Why can't you set the time for the meeting?" We were limited as to when they could see us because the reps are coming from out of state and they have other places to go.
The meeting is over and it went well...a little longer than usual, but it was quite informative and not boring. :)
-
Note to self: never ever spill anything on your computer table.
Spoo!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :o
-
Home from rehearsal. They didn't need me, and the actors and director need to find their characters.
-
Maybe they should look in their backpacks, that's where I keep mine.
-
yes it is a slow HOT day.
Temperature is 88 degrees with a "feel like" of 97 degrees.
We are doing scenes 6 and 7 tonight and then working on the choreography for Cool Cool Men.....which I am in....for some reason.
-
I found photos of all of the historical characters and I am going to put them on the slides with the actors portraying the role.
I got the idea from the ENCORES program that DR VIXMOM sent me.....we have a cast of 30.....THIRTY!!!!
So there will not be information to read on each slide.....
-
Our John Adams is new to our theatre is doing a really nice job.....I hope he comes back. He grew up in the area and moved to the East Coast and recently moved back.
-
Okay....I guess I should have something to eat....not much....and then head to Philadelphia.
-
Helena Handbasket - that should be the name of something, or someone
-
Everybody wanted to date her in high school.
-
Helena Handbasket - that should be the name of something, or someone
I'm sure it's someone's drag name. ;)
-
Well, I'm off in my handbasket to an outdoor dress rehearsal. Pray for Rosemary's and everybody else's baby.
-
I am the most ignorant person in the world when it comes to trying to hook up a piece of electronic equipment.
-
I have just wasted more than 8 hours over the last two days trying to get a printer/scanner/fax hooked up.
-
The directions had no relation to the options I was seeing on any of the screens that they kept mentioning.
-
Ultimately very frustrating labor.
-
But we got rain today.
-
And lots of it.
-
So I'm grateful for that.
-
I picture some fights in the near future between my sisters and me about parental care.
-
The older sister, the evangelical, is convinced that her diabetes and Dad's are similar, so that what the doctor is telling my other sister, the pothead, is wrong. Or that she's misunderstanding it.
-
Neither sister seems to understand how mentally regressive Mom is becoming or how their behavior is only making hers worse.
-
So, I'm headed into a nest of love and understanding. OK, so I'm headed into a hornet's nest.
-
It'll be fun.
-
Maybe.
-
I'm going to need to find some places in Louisville to go dancing while I'm there.
-
Just to keep myself sane.
-
And that brings us to a new topic ...
-
Three!
-
See y'all later.
-
BTW, I finished Kritzerland during lunch today. Loved it.
-
I am the most ignorant person in the world when it comes to trying to hook up a piece of electronic equipment.
This is one of those "what the heck did I read?" moments...at first, I thought you wrote:
"I am the most ignorant person in the world when it comes to trying to hook up with a piece of electronic equipment."
:o
-
I don't know where that "with" came from.
-
:))

~~~Vibes of ALL Kinds!!~~~
I thought I was. I always ask a friend who's savvy to help me and I buy them dinner.
My Ask BK anything question:
What is one of your favorites?
The obvious would be this country. Another obvious one for me is - comedy. Another obvious one for me is - most Broadway musicals.
-
Directors and actors finding characters? Really? If I were there directing believe me we'd be ready to open. :)
-
Had a really long and very productive lunch with Robert Yacko.
-
Good evening!
-
Took Richard for his chiropractor appointment and some other errands. Did a couple of household chores when we got home,
Is it helping?
-
I saw on Facebook that several Broadway singers will be performing at the Convention at about 8:20 pm. Melissa Errico and Liz Callaway are two of them.
-
Hard to tell, DR Jane. When I ask how his eyes are, he says "Weird."
Thanks, DR KevinH! I knew it was tonight, but hadn't been able to pinpoint the time.
-
An old classmate is in Portland visiting her sons so we met up for lunch. It was nice and, on the recommendation of the one son & his girlfriend, we went to a casual vegetarian restaurant. Next time I want what Keith had. I had meant to ask if there was a different vegetable besides brussels sprouts and forgot. Apparently I missed that there was broccoli or I would have requested a switch. The dressing on my salad was too spicy for me but the meal was healthy.
-
I picture some fights in the near future between my sisters and me about parental care.
Vibes you can all stay calm about it.
-
Vibes they will soon feel normal again!!!!
I finally was able to swim this morning, first time this summer. It felt good though I only had time for a 15 minute swim.
-
I picture some fights in the near future between my sisters and me about parental care.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this, DR JohnG! It's difficult enough with my sister and me on the same page...
-
Thanks for the vibes, DR Jane! His follow-up with the opthalmologist is a week from today.
-
DR VIXMOM I play New York delegate Lewis Morris.....courteously.....
How lovely to have you abstaining on our behalf!
-
Well, I must now be going. I want to do a little shopping at Costco (yes, a little shopping), then Fred Meyer.
Be back later.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I don't know where that "with" came from.
The same area of the brain that I use most times. :)
-
I am the most ignorant person in the world when it comes to trying to hook up a piece of electronic equipment.
I thought I was. I always ask a friend who's savvy to help me and I buy them dinner.
That friend sued me.
-
Or rather, ex-friend.
-
Let's move on.
-
Page Four!
-
Page four? Really?
-
Got to go salsa dancing tonight. Live band. Small dance floor. People from all over crowded in together. Fun.
-
Just dancing. No technique. No redoing anything. Just fun.
-
Has anybody here read Anne Tyler's latest, Vinegar Girl? It's a so-called modern retelling of Taming of the Shrew.
-
I usually like Tyler. I was surprised to learn that she hates Shakespeare. It shows in this book, which is creaky, more dated than Shakespeare's play, and actually kinda creepy.
-
Hello, 1 guest!
-
What's your favorite mambo step?
-
Good
afternoon evening night.
-
Back from the first of two dress rehearsals in an outdoor town park in the middle of Where-The-Hell-Am-I, Connecticut.
-
About a third of the cast wasn't in costume or miked, and there wasn't much scenery or set design going on, so...
I dunno. I just play the notes that are in front of me. :)
-
One more tomorrow, then Friday it's another op'nin', another show.
-
And hey, was it HUMID out there?
Lordy.
-
But we do this for the fun, right? And a little bit of money.
-
You know what's sad? When a couple of the reed and brass players do a very decent job of reading and playing their books, but you can just tell that - even though they're very nearly in most of our own age brackets - they apparently did NOT grow up listening to, say, the Merman original cast recording. Or they'd KNOW, without having it drilled into them, which bars their various licks in the Overture and all go, and how they should sound.
-
Well, I'm ready for a good night's sleep. Back at it tomorrow.
Vibes to all -- health-wise, money-wise, everything-wise.
-
Good evening!
-
Another opening, another show.
-
That used to describe my whole life.
-
But no longer.
-
Now, I am more like The Elephant Man.
-
More a curiosity than an actor.
-
Except when I am playing a role that requires the actor to be in a chair.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Like Mr. Potter in A WONDERFUL LIFE.
-
And even the character in WRECKS.
-
There's been a security update available - I hate doing them because it always does something screwy and the computer takes forever to load everything - but I decided to do it. Naturally it was retarded as always. My entire desktop's contents disappeared but the computer wouldn't shut off. I finally had to shut it off manually and restart - it took about fifteen minutes to fully load everything, and of course it didn't do the update. I'm done with this crap. I will have them call me tomorrow and be on the phone when I try it.
-
But now I am being pushed to audition for Van Helsing in DRACULA.
-
And that is when I feel weird doing the role.
-
In SECOND SAMUEL, I used the fact that he was stuck in a wheelchair as one of the reasons for his bigotry.
-
Five!
-
It was a back story I could make work for the character.
-
Actually one audience member ask me one day if I was so hateful because I was in the wheelchair.
-
Bingo!
-
So, at least one person got it.
-
But for Van Helsing, that is harder to find the back story.
-
For me, anyway.
-
I am the most ignorant person in the world when it comes to trying to hook up a piece of electronic equipment.
I thought I was. I always ask a friend who's savvy to help me and I buy them dinner.
That friend sued me.
:o
-
Goodness, I am rambling tonight.
-
Bingo!
:)
-
I don't know. I always wanted to do DRACULA, but I always wanted to play Dracula, not Van Helsing.
-
That, of course, was when I was younger.
-
'night
-
I loved the Frank Langella movie version of DRACULA.
-
Good night, Jane.
-
The first sexy Dracula.
-
I know that, in his time, Bela Lugosi was considered a sensual vampire.
-
I could never see it. To me, he was more camp than sensual.
-
Maybe I saw too many of the lesser Lugosi films at the same time that I saw DRACULA.
-
I can still remember the first times I saw DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN, and the others.
-
They were on Saturday night at 11:00 pm on Channel 11.
-
Page five? Really? When did the expression mic drop become the go-to expression for every single post on the Internet, I know it came about twenty-five years ago, but NO ONE has used it in ages and suddenly it's "the" expression.
-
My sister and I watched all of those films.
-
Those films all seemed so ancient, probably because the prints were in such bad shape.
-
And because they were in black and white.
-
I don't think any of those films ever scared me.
-
There were enough other films that scared me when I was a kid.
-
THE INNOCENTS, MR. SARDONICUS, THE BIRDS, SPACE CHILDREN
-
Oh we are getting close.
-
Just one more.
-
Six
-
Greetings,
