Slept until, about 3:30.    But my gums woke me up....

I hate it when that happens.  I learned a trick in Europe, though.  The Greeks rub a little Ouzo on their gums when the pain won't subside.

Italians use Sambouca.  Amazingly, this works, too.

Of course, in your situation, this is probably (or would be probably) frowned upon by your dental professionals.

As long as this is just "temporary".  When I was in hospital in early January, they wouldn't let me have coffee or tea...nothing with caffeine.

I let my doctor know in no uncertain terms that my first act of freedom would be to find a cup of coffee.  That was all right, though.  She told me to use moderation and to enjoy myself.

I've just been up to the Abbey and back to pick up a couple of things, and made it a nice leisurely drive through some nice country.  Totally enjoyable.  I should just go out and do that more often -- there's nothing stopping me.

It looks good, with a good price tag.  I'll show it to Keith since he knows more about these things.

Larry, my sister's boyfriend, was the one to recommend it to me.  That's a good enough recommendation for me.

I had more input with my current computer then I have had with past ones.  Keith still made the final decision though I vetoed a few prior to his deciding.

I managed to get back to sleep sometime after 4. Then woke up,again around 6:45. Realized there was no way I was going to be able to work.  (My lower palate is so swollen that it is pushing my tongue up against the roof of my mouth  ). Texted  my boss and go workers and managed to go back to sleep.

This seems severe.  Did you speak to the dentist today?

It was expected it happened last time too it was quite extensive cutting and stitching and stitching required

Vixmom, which stage of getting the implants (teeth) was this?

Vibes for continued pain relief!!

This is the middle stage..... In about three months if the bone has sufficiently grown around the posts I will be able to actuallyhave  the teeth added....of course there is a chance that the bone will not cooperate in which case I am stuck with a bridge and thousands down the drain and a lot of pain for naught

DR JEANNE I liked your story about your playhouse a lot more than I liked your story about your credit union.

Personal discourse has deteriorated....sad.

I thought you'd agree with me.

The sad thing is that I don't think that many of these low-people-skilled peoples realize how poorly they come across. In my view, good people skills can make a big difference in one's career. They're really hurting themselves.

I remember the Lupino-Duff tv series that DR JEANNE was talking about yesterday.  It was called Mr. Adams and Eve.....about a couple of movie stars....I think it was supposed to be a comedy, but I don't remember ever laughing at it or watching more than two or three episodes.

That's correct. I was thinking afterwards that I should have been more specific--don't know how many people remember it.

And who is training them?  I was very particular about where Bryan & Craig worked in their teens.  Fortunately they worked for people who trained them properly and appreciated them.

This afternoon I stopped in at the local record parlor for a quick look-see, and came home with a couple of nice catches:

First -- we are already blessed with BK's own release of A TIME FOR SINGING, but I couldn't resist when I saw a beautiful original LP, one I'd never owned or probably even had the chance to listen to.  It's absolutely pristine (at least on my spot check, and my spot checks are pretty damned good), and I'm just very curious as to how such an original cast album came to be issued by Warner Brothers.  Are there other examples I'm not thinking of?

Second -- another I'd never owned, but had seen in stores throughout the years, and this one looked great so I said "why not?"  The "ROUTE 66 THEME" (etc.) by Nelson Riddle.  How great it is to hear some of these again.  Of course they are arrangements, but Mr. Riddle was a force to be reckoned with and they're great fun.  I only take exception to the distantly-miked, reverb-y sound.  Maybe that's what he liked, but it's not what I've been used to on other Capitol recordings from those years.  But this is a good-hearted quibble, not a gripe.  I'm delighted to have it.

Now I have just one little question:

How can this not feel like a Friday?  It hasn't felt like one to me all day, and even now I can't believe tomorrow's a Saturday.
