It sounds like pug has a good cast for DRACULA.
Do you know Michael Christopher? He is Dracula.
Is she in the show, too?
TOD:
I finally got off my duff and ordered HARDCORE and the TONY ROME / LADY IN CEMENT double feature, and they arrived yesterday. Tonight, I think HARDCORE -- which I can't even fathom why, but I never saw it back in the day. And that doesn't even compute, as I always would watch George C. Scott in anything.
Yesterday, I figured out how I am am going to end my new novel.
This is another story that I've carried around in my head for years, writing a chapter or two, then putting it aside until I figured out what I wanted to do next.
Dialogue is easy. Story is hard.

Congrats on finding your ending, Druxy!
I spent a glorious week on Rhodes, Jane. Just a relaxing time. One of the best meals of my life there. It was a 37-course meze, bites of deliciousness that kept appearing from the kitchen.
Got closer to two weeks on Crete, not including the travel time.
I picked up a CD of Leonard Bernstein's PETER PAN with Linda Eder, Daniel Narducci, and Alexander Frey, conductor. I hadn't come across this recording before, and don't know what to expect from it, but hey. (Hey!)
Amazon orders for all the OOP stuff I recently listed are coming in - people are finding they can now not have to pay outrageous prices for some cool stuff.
Thank you, DR TCB!~~~~~~~~~~Happy Birthday to our dear reader Ron!~~~~~~~~~~

Unfortunately Crete is not on the itinerary. Tomorrow we have all day in Mykonos. I hope we are both well enough to enjoy it and stay late enough to eat dinner there instead of returning to the ship.

Well, you've probably encountered enough cretins in your life! (Get it?)
My thanks to Bruce Kimmel for his happy birthday wishes to me in today's notes. I also thank all of you who expressed similar sentiments in writing or in your hearts! ;)
I'm 68 years today. Not old, not young. Just!
I can't believe I hadn't thought of listing stuff on Amazon before - it's like ten orders an hour for the entire day today. Usually my amazon payments hover between twenty and sixty bucks a month. Today alone we're over four hundred.
Here's a picture of Keith:

:D
Someone just placed a five hundred dollar amazon order - I have no doubt it's someone who will then, of course, relist and jack up the prices - but I can't control or police that stuff. And that just put us over a grand for less than a day. I'm hoping this continues :)
Forgive my ignorance, but what are burnt ends?
Forgive my ignorance, but what are burnt ends?
I assumed that literally the ends (sides?) were burned to add flavor and crispy-crunchiness.
Just a thought.

But the ends of what?
There was something called a hand pie, which was essentially an empanada stuffed with mac and cheese and burnt ends. Sadly it was nowhere near as good as that sounds. I may have to play around with it. Nothing bad, but just bland. And I'm sorry, but that combination should have been anything but bland. I don't think there was enough salt in the pastry dough, which is essential, and there were no traces of burnt ends or any meat in there.
