Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of an anniversary, and now it is time for you to post until the anniversary cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ABEYANCE!
-
First post after BK! (a TCB reference ;) )
-
First daylight post of the day!
-
Congrats to BK and everybody on a successful and terrific show!
-
Thanks to John G for the hurricane-go-away vibes last night!
-
TOD: The least pleasant labor was the least pleasant because it was an arduous commute from Coney Island in Brooklyn to Far Rockaway, and then a long walk from the train, (but even at that job I felt I learned quite a bit from the work itself).
Most pleasant labor was doing the "Last Starfighter" at the Village Theatre in Issaquah (near Seattle); it was such fun to do nothing for a period work-wise but work on the show, and as a super-delightful bonus got to have a very rare mini-HHW get-together with TCB and George (and I'd also gotten to meet PennyO on another Issaquah trip).
-
good morning to all
-
TOD
Losing the 50lbs I have done so far and aiming for 25 lbs more
-
Congrats on the successful show, BK,
-
Least pleasant, hard to say....
Most pleasant, in terms if results, although most physically exhausting and painful, resulted in me holding the Vixter in my arms
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congrats to BK & Co. on a great anniversary show, which sounds wonderful.
-
Congratulations to MR BK & Co on their successful show and wonderful audience. I loved the pictures in the notes!
-
TOD:
Most unpleasant: Any type of farm or garden work....ugh. I also worked in a factory for about two weeks.....not my thing.
Most pleasant: Writing of any kind.....working on a "Show" with like minded people.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I believe Hermine has passed us by until the next hurricane roars up the coast.
-
Very good news from Kritzerland, But, really, is anyone surprised?
-
I had so many shit summer jobs in college - paper factory, steel mill - and Ohio in the 1970s - delivery truck driver - that I consider myself very fortunate that my last 37 years of employment have been mostly things I've enjoyed.
-
Congratulations Bruce!
-
Cool bridge DR John :)
-
Today in Kusadasi, Turkey we found a key chain. DR George I think you should stop in Vancouver and collect it ;)
-
TOD
Losing the 50lbs I have done so far and aiming for 25 lbs more
I applaud you 👍
-
I believe Hermine has passed us by until the next hurricane roars up the coast.
Good to hear.
-
It is currently 5:43 pm and 7:43 at home, no worries Der I am all alone.
How the heck did wonder become worries Der ::)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy Labor Day!
-
TOD:
I think scraping the paint off the side of our garage was the worst work ever. Some was ready to come off, but a lot of it wasn't.
I think writing the two books was the best, even with all the sturm und drang with deadlines, etc. Actually, the research for the barbecue book was even more pleasurable than that.
-
The Kritzerland at Sterling's 70th anniversary show was wonderful! There's not much I can say that Bruce hasn't already said. Richard Sherman's song about hygiene was hilarious and he was reading the lyrics, but got a little bit tongue-tied in the middle of it and then quickly said, "Who wrote these lyrics?!" which got a big laugh out of the audience.
The two new men in the show were great and I look forward to seeing them again. "Love Revolution" is one of my favorite musical theater songs and it's almost never sung, so it was great hearing it again for the first time in years.
Bruce did a great job filling in for Guy Haines. His voice sounded great, as always, and he handled the complicated and wordy "The Maladjusted Jester" with aplomb.
-
TOD:
I'm forever plagued by yard work that never ends. I really should hire a gardener, but since I already have a house cleaner (who only comes once a month), I feel a gardener would be frivolous.
The dog grooming that I do on weekends is both the best labor and the worst labor all rolled into one. It's wonderful petting the dogs (with the occasional adorable puppy) and making them clean and beautiful. It's not so wonderful getting bit and scratched and picking up dog poop.
-
Good Morning! It looks like a very pretty day.
-
For no good reason, here's 30 seconds of Rip Taylor tossing confetti to "Happy Days Are Here Again"

This is a real hoot! Be very careful what you post.

I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
Monday afternoon greetings! Met Andrea and her husband at 9am for breakfast and just got home about half an hour ago. After we ate, we went back to their hotel where Andrea and I went through her gold mine of theatre memorabilia and visited. DR Elmore has a great treat in store when he receives some materials from her.

Here's one photo from my Lucy days that I'd never seen. My guess is that someone was checking my make-up:

That's a great picture, Ginny!
-
Thanks, DR George! You do recognize the guy behind me, wearing glasses, right?
-
Jason Hughes' character Warren just headed for Australia on This Life, and he's out of the show. It's so much like a frank, mature, more honest non-sitcom version of Friends, with a bit of sex and nudity.
This BBC series is quite amazing.
-
Thanks, DR George! You do recognize the guy behind me, wearing glasses, right?
And the late Darrell Brown.

Ah, yes :(
On, no.
Poor Darrell died far too young, but his health had been poor and he was a big as a house. His weight when he died was rather frightening. He was a true mensch, driving the infirm to vote on election day and a huge Middies supporter. I admired him.

Lovely photo, Ginny!

Thanks, DR FJL - it was taken 40+ years ago...

As always Amy, thank you for the show details. "Who wrote the lyrics"......😄

Ah, yes, that's when DR Elmore had hair and I had a waistline...
It was already beginning to thin in back.

Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog and have shaved and will shortly shower. Then I shall be on my way for a little rehearsing, sound check, and then the birthday concert. So, I labor on Labor Day.
-
I shall now be on my way to the birthday concert.
-
I lost most of my hair by the end of my 20's......
-
Slow news day......
-
I know. :-\
-
Well, since we're so close...

PAGE THREE DANCE!!

I Love My Wife has two great songs for the women characters, Love Revolution and Someone Wonderful I Missed. You never hear either of them enough.
-
Page three? Really?
-
It must be a holiday around these parts.
-
I hope no HHWers are in labor this Labor Day.
-
We watched about two-thirds of The Pirates of Penzance today. Love that movie. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think it's great.
-
We then went to see The BFG at the theater. I had read great stuff about this movie. Supposed to be a children's classic from Spielberg, etc.
-
I fell asleep. It was about 20 minutes, maybe 30 minutes too long. No pacing, no great builds in suspense.
-
Only a few fart jokes drew laughs from the people in the audience. That included the kids, who seemed fidgety. But they were well behaved.
-
My parents only found it fitfully amusing. I don't know that they understand the world of animation much.
-
There was one part that would have been perfect for BK when he was younger. It was a servant of the queen, and the actor was not up to the challenge of mining all the humor that the part had in it. Sadly, the actor's biggest laugh was, you guessed it, a fart joke.
-
That's about all I have in me tonight.
-
Oh, yeah. Phyllis Schlafly died.
-
Good night, all.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I was busy all day--and still didn't get everything done. I slept late, which is unusual for me, giving me a late start. Laundry is done and bills are paid, but I still don't know where the day went.
-
Larry, THIS LIFE sounds like something I'd like. Where are you getting it from? Neither Netflix nor Acorn, my two sources for British stuff, offer it. Hulu? BBC America?
Acorn is now showing 800 WORDS, an Australian show which I'm enjoying. I'm seldom disappointed in films or TV shows from Australia or New Zealand.
-
Congrats to DR Michael and to BK on their weight loss.
-
So sorry to read the news about DF Sandy.
Continued MEGA vibes to him and the same to TCB and family.
-
Good night.
-
I have been very busy going through boxes in the basement and the Vixters ex room
-
I have quite a few things that will be traveling southward with us and will remain behind
-
Good evening!
-
Vixmom, when are you going to Flo Rida?
-
Page 3? Really?
-
At 10:00 p.m.? Really?
-
Page three? REALLY?
-
You'd think it was a holiday or something, but seriously, Labor people, get off you butt cheeks and get some postin' goin' on or this will truly be a completely pathetic all time low day.
-
Back from the birthday concert - patter got really good laughs, it was quick, and then I went for some foodstuffs.
-
Happy Labor Day!
-
4our
-
I guess I should say that I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day.
-
Today was a non-labor day
-
I did a little work on my book.
-
But I definitely do not have BK's work habits.
-
I find myself still rewriting the first chapter.
-
The rest of the day was really a veggie day.
-
I took several naps
-
Including a three hour nap this morning.
-
I watched THE COURT JESTER.
-
I wonder what put that movie into my head? Hmmmm!
-
I really do love that movie.
-
Actually you could almost turn it into a Broadway show
-
Except you couldn't use the little people.
-
If you could find a substitute for them, it might work.
-
Perhaps you could substitute circus performers, and use their skills to defeat the King's guard
-
And then there is the sword fighting.
-
It could be done, but difficult.
-
Oh well, leave it as a great film.
-
Vixmom, when are you going to Flo Rida?
Leaving Friday
-
It is too bad that more people have never seen the movie.
-
I would love to stay and chat but
1. I am exhausted
2. I need to be at my desk in 6 hours
-
I did fall asleep for a little while during the movie.
-
I am glad to her the kritzerland show went so well
-
I, also, watched a Hitler documentary.
-
I look firwArd to the videos
-
I fell asleep during that film, too.
-
I am way behind where I wanted to be in easiness gif this trip
-
Too bad, it was a well done documentary.
-
In done too much of the weekend in preparation for the hurricane gat never came
-
I am of course immensely grateful it didn't cone
-
What I saw of it anyway.
-
But hate that I lost two days preparing fir it even I could have been getting ready got my trip instead

It is interesting that now that I am trying to write a book, I suddenly come up with dozens of videos that I suddenly feel the urge to watch.
-

It's a problem when you are posting on a tablet because you just see the last post, which of course is the one you just posted so you think you're alone

Any excuse not to sit at the computer and write.

For the purpose of maximum confusion I thought I would translate mt nonsense posts in no particular order

But now you need to go to bed!!
-
I like agent desk.
-
Goodnight!
-
Good night, my friend!
-
It is Monday, but it seems like Sunday.
-
And it is still Summer, but is already seems like Autumn
-
Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
No George tonight?
-
I have downloaded a game of Gin Rummy to my iPad.
-
That ought to keep me busy for a few hundred hours.
-
No George tonight?
I have returned.
-
I was getting worried.
-
I watched some TV earlier today (Braindead, The Last Ship, and Antiques Roadshow).
-
And then?
-
Then I went out for dinner to Taco Del Mar...it's double-punch Monday for their rewards card. For every $5 you spend, you get a punch on your card. On Mondays, you get two punches. It adds up pretty quickly! When you get a fully punched card (10 punches), you get $5 off your next order. :D
-
Fortunately, they're not punches in the face. ;)
-
No Hawaiian Punch?
-
When I came home, I got a text from someone on TAO's board, asking for the numbers of tickets that were sold for our shows over the last couple of years. I was able to get that information fairly easily, but I dilly-dallied before I compiled it. I got a Smokey Robinson & The Miracles (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000GFRJ26/) CD from the library and was listening to it as I playing Solitaire, which was the dilly-dallying portion of my evening.
-
No Hawaiian Punch?
Fortunately, no.
