DR ELMORE the Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream that you are an executioner indicates that you feel in control of certain areas of your life and not others. You are unsure of the results of some upcoming decisions on the lives of others, but have decided to go ahead and do what is best for you.
More entertaining notes.....
Tonight IS the Harvest Full Moon.....so caution in all areas is in order.
I'll let the Freudians interpret it. I want nothing more to do with it.
WOW!
Yesterday, I got my quarterly royalty check from BearManor Media, and I was so taken aback that I contacted the publisher to confirm that the amount of the check was correct. It was.
I am not going to reveal the amount, but the people at BearManor believe that this is the largest quarterly royalty check that they had ever sent to an author.
I have several books with this publisher, but the vast majority of this check is from my biography, MISS DINAH SHORE, a virtually finished project that, because of a dispute with the original publisher, sat forgotten in my storage space for over 30 years before I re-discovered it a couple of years ago.
DOUBLE WOW!
You'll please excuse me now. I'm going to the bank.

I think having a drink or two is the best way to survive a Harvest Moon!
The laundry is put away. Back to the Moonshine!

Guess that's your tipple of choice for the harvest moon.
I've booked my appointment for the next hip injection. I will have to be out of bed by 5:30am to make it to East 23rd Street but them's the breaks.

Groan. Vibes it works!
Seven hours is better than six MR BK.
You are a hero DR FJL......
I got an email from the NY Times saying the payment is on its way for writing that parody lyric they had asked me to do to note the end of their ArtsBeat column, which will come in handy since I'm going on a theater trip to Baltimore this weekend, to see a show with my cousin Randi who lives near there.
I've been thinking I should do a Harry Potter marathon and watch all the films in one fell swoop.
WOW!

We missed a very important millstone earlier this summer:

Here's a link to a recent parody lyric about the noisy cicada bugs, setting to that Gershwin tune the old bromide "You Say Ci-cay-da, I Say Ci-cah-da"

It is my first monarch of the season in my yard. He is on his journey southward (or westward) for the winter.
Can you get a picture of one? Some of the "moths" are really butterflies. And Texas is one of the best places for butterflies this time of year.
The only tix left for Sound of Music are $124-$194 apiece. I don't think I'll be going.

I'd miss it, too.
Are they big? Or little? On the little side.
Is anyone going to buy tickets for the "Hello, Dolly!" Bette Midler revival?I think it would be fun.

That's why we skip a lot in Dayton and Cincinnati. I'll pay higher prices in New York, but not out here in flyover country.
AT&T is out one street doing crap and they either cut or knocked out my Time Warner cable so I have no Internet. And while they told me they're sorry they can't or won't fix it. I called Time Warner and while the nice lady has made an attempt to get them out here today it probably won't happen until ten tomorrow morning which was the first time they had. Thankfully I can still use the iPad for small stuff. Unbelievable
Ah technology.......however, I would venture to say that ANY PLACE that MR BK is would qualify as a HOT SPOT.
I'm really having fun with Hail, Caesar!
It's not the Coens' best, but everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and the visuals are tremendous.

Edward Albee has died. Loved several of his plays, the first pair of which, "American Dream" and "The Zoo Story," I had to read in high school.
