HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR ELMORE!!!
Happiest of birthdays to dear DR Elmore!
THE VERY HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO OUR ONE AND ONLY DR ELMORE!
TOD:
I like both red licorice and black licorice, although I guess I prefer red. I don't think I've ever had chocolate licorice. There's a little mom-n-pop store in Carmel, up in Northern California, that sells about 20 different flavors of licorice. (They actually have a town ordinance that forbids any chain stores from moving in there, so all the stores there are mom-n-pop stores. The town retains its quaintness and charm that way.) Anyway, my dad always takes me and my sisters there when we visit and tries to get us to pick out something interesting, but for some reason, none of their flavors have ever enticed us. Instead, I usually get one of their gigantic dark chocolate peanut butter cups.
Happy happy birthday to dear Larry!!! Hope the dinner tonight is a great one!
Heureux Anniversaire, Cher Elmo!

I like the story that Charmian Carr told in her book about residuals.....
Her sister - Darlene, I think - was one of the singers who recorded the group numbers for the kids for The Sound of Music.
Each time it was on television, Charmian and Darlene got identical checks for their work!

Richard will be very glad to hear that in about 6 weeks!

Thank you, DR Ginny! And thanks for the wonderful book.
You're welcome! Now I have to order myself a copy, because it's my book group book for November. And at least 2 other members of our household want to read it, too.

I am ready for a margarita!

And guacamole!
Have a wonderful time, DR Elmore!!!
Have a great evening DR ELMORE!
DR George, it was fun to read about your evening, especially since you finally met Sharry & Micheal in person when we stopped last in Tacoma☺
And guacamole!
I have been craving guacamole.
Thought I had posted when I got up, but I guess not - that's because the second I got up after seven hours of sleep, it's been one thing after another. Then I had a chili, cheese, and onion omelet and an English muffin, then picked up a couple of packages. When I got back here I dove into the Unsung Sherman Brothers project - doing the track listing and beginning those notes. So now I'm working on three sets of liner notes at once, but these are FUN.
I sent all my tax documents off to my accountant today. Yay!
I'd like to think I don't have to do it again for another year, but I know I'll want to start some of it early. I usually do that, but life somehow intervenes.
Came home to a copy of Swing in the mail. It's making me feel much better already.

Thanks, Jane! She was just as outgoing and friendly as ever...I can't imagine that she was ever timid. ;)
Came home early from dancing. Didn't feel good. Heat, allergies, you name it.

I wrote the liner notes to the Unsung Sherman Brothers CD - good to have them out of the way - also did the track listing, although Richard has found a cassette tape that has three additional songs from one of the projects - I have no way of transferring that to CD unfortunately and will have to find someone who can. There used to be a place two seconds from here but they're out of business. I guess I should have left my cassette player hooked up. Irritating.
Lordy, I haven't stopped today. But that's a good thing. I switched up two songs in the Kritzerland show because Stephen Flaherty got me a Little Dancer song and I loved it so we're doing that - so I threw out a duet and found one other solo for the male.

Thanks. A nap helped a little.
I am home, rather tipsy and very happy. The dinner was wonderful and the company fabulous. What a great way to survive the reminder that you are now older than God and twice as mean.
I just read that Earl Hamner was not mentioned in memorandum at the Emmy's yet Prince was. Can anyone tell me what Prince contributed to television?

Videos. But not honoring Hamner is a disgrace.
Loved A Taste of Honey, and thanks to Criterion, all the extras add a lot.

TCB, yes, it's the original film of Taste of Honey.
