Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written in zaman (time), and now it is zaman for you to post until the Turkey cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: AFFLATUS!
-
First post after BK!
-
Someone posted some videos of their performing - one of which was a duet on Little Me. It's a little unnerving to hear one's arrangement done by others without any credit whatsoever.
-
Happy happy birthday to dear DR Laura!!!
-
Good morning to all
-
Happy Birthday to Laura
-
Good morning, all.
-
Lordy, another allergy day.
The day before yesterday was an annoying one. Yesterday was free and clear, and I was in and out doing all kinds of things. Today, ten minutes after I'm up, ahhhhhh-choo!
-
Repeatedly.
-
I probably didn't have to further define it, but there it is.
-
So let us move on to more pleasant matters...
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR LAURA!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept late. It was my first chance since Sunday, and i loved every minute of it.
-
I am home today, waiting on a Fed Ex arrival, finishing up "Luck Be A Lady," and doing some Moonshine & Mistletoe work. I am a bit bummed that my collaborator and producer on taking their time with information on what material they would like to include on a projected recording in three weeks.
-
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday, DR Laura !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I need to scrounge up some breakfast and tidy the apartment.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR DR LAURA!!![
-
Scrounging up breakfast, in the form of a very good Egg and Cheese and Applewood Smoked Bacon burrito, is exactly what's happening next on these premises.
-
Oh man, these things are delicious. I have another one here and just might have it.
They're small, no bigger than a typical fast food one, and those usually come in pairs with a side of something potato-y. So there. Decision made.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Have some puttering time this morning before Richard and I go out for errands, dinner, and a lecture at Miami University-Hamilton by Susan Eisenhower, Ike & Mamie's granddaughter.
-
Happiest of birthdays to DR Laura!
-
On the CD player, a show DR Elmore suggested some time back: BIRDS OF PARADISE.
First track, and I love it already.
-
Happy Birthday DR LAURA.
-
Thank you DR VIXMOM - yes I think you did mention it - it is just me having great fun playing Mr. Laurence.....
-
Happy Birthday, Laura!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, DR Laura!
-
Too busy this morning to get a cup of coffee.
-
Two!
-
This meeting has gone on long enough.
-
The lyric that just went by: "Every day is fish."
-
Happy Birthday to DR Laura.
Hope you are having a great day!
-
Have a Happy Birthday, Laura!

I had zero intentions of watching "NCIS" or "NCIS: New Orleans" this new season. And I was definitely not interested in watching "Bull".
However, given a lackluster lineup of individuals in "Dancing With the Stars", my interest turned to CBS out of curiousity.
Happily, I was not put off by the new look of "NCIS". McGee, of course, is looking cadaverous. He's not only too thin, but he seems to have had some face sculpting done.
Gibbs, too, seems to look different...a bit of eye work, perhaps?
The two new additions to the cast do not, as of this moment, disturb me.
"Bull" -- (sorry TCB, but I watched it all with interest) -- turned out to be much more than I thought it would be. Interesting characters and interesting psychological profiling. Of course, the premise could get old quickly.
That leads me to "NCIS: New Orleans" -- I hoped I'd find it interesting. They have done away with a major character and replaced her with others. There is some "fraternizing" potential between two of the agents.
I'm not buying into this one, I'm afraid. What was once a good show has become a bit bloated and predictable. Too bad, too.
And as for DWTS...I had no idea who Jake T. Austin was. I looked him up and find I don't give a rat's patootie about who he is. That he was eliminated ahead of Rick Perry and Ryan Lochte doesn't interest me in the least.
I know, I know...what was I expecting? How could I not have anticipated a mixed bag?
And why am I watching network TV when I have a bunch of unopened Blu ray discs piled on my floor?
-
The lyric that just went by: "Every day is fish."
And from the fish: "Every day a little death"

A Very Happy Birthday to DR Laura!! :D
-
LADIES! And GENTLEMEN!
Our long national nightmare is over. I give you ... our mystery item:
http://www.irblaster.info/motorola_rx.html
It came with my Comcast/Xfinity Cisco DVR. It's an IR remote sensor, to be mounted where your remote can "see" it if the component is in a bad location. Once I figured that out (long story, different kinds of searching), I was hoping it would have come with my Oppo Blu-ray player which also has that functionality and whose position actually is a challenge for its remote. No such luck. And of course the cable box has the strongest remote signal in the known universe. Nothing I can do blocks it, with or without the extender. So I'm labeling it and into the box of spare cables it goes.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I don't know - six hours of sleep.
-

http://www.elmonterey.com/egg-bacon-burrito/
EDIT: That's a bulk pack. The singles are $.99 each at my supermarket. Make sure it says applewood bacon, as they seem to have other varieties. The applewood is the one I've tried and am crazy about.
-
My last two Trotters CDs just arrived. Will be listening to STAR WARS shortly.
-
I just finished the difficult chapter of my life. I don't know what I have yet, so I will wait for friends and family to comment. It was not easy to write. And now to tidy up.
-
I saw the promo for BULL, but it seemed to be just more of the same.....we now have two varying opinions on it, so perhaps I shall watch it just to see.
DWTS also has BOTH of the Houghs back.....and no "stars" that I am interested in seeing, so I will probably skip this season....watched a bit last fall since the Houghs were gone....but it was NOT of much interest.
-
Glad you got finished DR ELMORE.....it's a START!
-
Interesting DR CHAS SMITH - who knew? That's actually a pretty nifty device. Too bad it doesn't work on everything.
-

Ooo...it's available at a local Albertson's, which is right across the street from Fred Meyer and Costco, where I go all the time. I guess I need to go to Albertson's now...well, at least once. ;)

I forgot I have dinner plans tonight. I'm meeting Joseph Molnar who works at the Museum of Natural History, and my friend Richard Galgano for dinner. Richard's been in poor health and I haven't seen him in far too long.

Very nice, Jane!
-
Thanks.
-
Does anyone watch Poldark? We have now watched the first two episodes of season 1.
-
I need to wrap up the work day and go home.
I seem to have dissociative mathopathy today.
Nothing adds up. Everything's out of whack.
Oh, well...
-
Does anyone watch Poldark? We have now watched the first two episodes of season 1.
The recent series? I binge-watched it. Highly enjoyable.
-
I never saw the original series, which supposedly even better.
-
Am having some celebratory chicken wings in honor of DR Laura's birthday.
-
I've been missing "fresh hell" news for quite some time.
Are things going all right, Elmo?
-
One for the money, two for the show...
-
Page 3 to make ready...
...and here we go!
-
Had a quick and good work session, then had a turkey sandwich and a few onion rings - if you order same with the sandwich, it's like a half order, then Richard had half of the half - so I only had about four or five, which is more than fine.
-
I, earlier, had a thought.
And then it was gone...phfft! Just like that!
I wonder what it was.
-
Sayfa üç? Gerçekten mi?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DR LAURA!!
I hope you're having a wonderful nature hike.
-
Glad to hear that Larry had such a great birthday dinner.
-
Sayfa üç? Gerçekten mi?
You betcha.
-
I seem to have dissociative mathopathy today.
Nothing adds up. Everything's out of whack.
So that's what it's called! I thought that was a Mercury retrograde. Or a Uranus something or other.
I know that situation well.
-
TCB, I've been enjoying your comments about writing the book. Please keep relaying them.
-
Vibes to all who need them.
TTFN.
-
HA! Today is the last day of the Mercury retrograde.....everybody rejoice!
-
Sayfa üç? Gerçekten mi? REALLY?
-
Bu lanet sayfayı beni alın! Or, Get me off this damn page!
-
Has dear reader Laura been around today?
-
Today, I just received two items from Amazon: Jay Armstrong Johnson: Live at Feinstein's 54 BELOW (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Jay-Armstrong-Johnson-Live-at-Feinsteins-54-BELOW-2016-Jay-Armstrong-Johnson/33083), except the copy that I received has a typo on both spines: it should be LIVE AT FEINSTEIN'S, but what's there is FEINSTEINS'S. :)) I don't know if it's that way on all the copies, but it's that way on mine.
-
Jay Armstrong Johnson (if you don't know or remember) played Anthony Hope in the Bryn Terfel/Emma Thompson concert version of Sweeney Todd (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Sweeney-Todd-The-Demon-Barber-of-Fleet-Street-2014-New-York-Philharmonic/28621) that was on PBS a couple of years ago. He has a great voice and I really liked it. He sings some modern songs and some traditional songs like "I Don't Need Anything But You" from Annie and "Johanna" from Sweeney Todd.
-
The other item that I got was a Japanese DVD of a Japanese production of Le Passe-Muraille (http://castalbums.org/recordings/-2014-Japanese-Cast/29002/) (壁抜け男). It was called Amour (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Amour-2003-Original-Broadway-Cast/3492/) when it was on Broadway. The score is by Michel Legrand and Didier van Cauwelaert. It's sung in Japanese and there are no English subtitles. ::) I'm just listening to it right now and it sounds really good.
-
It's interesting...the Amazon listing says that it's Region 2, but the actual packaging (it has the same cover picture in the listing) says that it's all-regions and NTSC. And it is. I'm able to play it on my computer here at work without any trouble and I know I can't play Region 2 DVDs. I have a multi-region Blu-ray/DVD player at home, so I didn't care that it was supposed to be a different region. :)
-

New to us. Season 2 begins on Sunday.
-
I never saw the original series, which supposedly even better.
Now I am confused...original?
Just looked, 1975 & 1996. I had no idea.
-
The 1996 single version has poor ratings.
-
The 1975 series was well rated as is the current version.
-
I then noticed it is based on the novels by Winston Graham. I looked him up on Goodreads and to my great surprise found not only had I read the first novel but I gave it 3 stars. I guess I thought it enjoyable but not enough to continue reading the series.
-
Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog.
-
Has dear reader Laura been around today?
My guess is that she went for a nice long birthday hike.
-
And my guess is that it would be nice to stop by here and acknowledge all these loverly birthday wishes, but that's just me :)
-
She can't if she is climbing a mountain-lol
-

Well, I must be going. I'm off to rehearsal.
Be back later.

;D I suppose not.

Happiest of birthdays to DR Laura
-
I think I am coming down with something. Sore throat and feeling absolutely exhsusted
-
And my levy eyelid keeps twitching which is driving me mad
-
Exhausted
-
Left
-
Stooped autocorrect
-
Stupid
-
The Vixter was just saying that she cannot find a place that makes egg sandwiches in Florida
-
Are egg sandwiches a regional thing?
-
I can go to about 20 places within 2 miles of my house where they have morning specials of egg sandwiches, egg, cheese and bacon, egg cheese and ham, egg cheese and sausage ...on a fresh baked hard roll, cooked to order. With a coffee or tea, hot chocolate or OJ. Generally under $4 or $5 for the whole shebang.
-
Is it really possible the rest of the US knows nothing of this wonderful way to start the day?
-
Are egg sandwiches a regional thing?
No. Is there a deli near her? Starbuck usually has them.

I was thinking egg salad sandwich. Sorry, I don't eat those.
-

I know about them but don'the want them.
-
Jane, don't you love enjoying something and then being told it's no good?
I felt the same about the new Poldark.
-
Just finished a wonderful pre-noir called Port of Shadows from Marcel Carne. Everything about it was great from the cast with Jean Gabin to the music. I don't think I can remember using church music for such sinister effects.
-
Not egg salad, not cold or pre-made and reheated hot off the griddle fresh eggs cracked and cooked as you watch, scrambled, sunny side up, easy over....as you wish
Your choice of cheese....American, Swiss, cheddar, muenster.. Your choice of meats. Cooked to order ..the roll soft and fresh, the egg and meat so hot the cheese just melts into it......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
Trying to finish up a lot of work this week before leaving for Florida.
-
The dinner with Richard and Joseph was a surprise birthday party and a lot of fun. I am ready for bed.
-
I hope DR Laura is having a great birthday.

I thought that she meant egg salad sandwiches too.
-
I'd like some egg salad. Thank you very much.
-
watching a couple of episodes of the old Third Man TV series with Michael Rennie. The writing is very good.
-
Finished with my viewing and am relaxing - second of the three sets of liner notes is out for proofing and tomorrow I'll do the third damn set. I gotta tell you. Trying to get the Sherman Brothers cover done, too - I'm pretty decided on the one I like best, even though Richard, at first, wasn't responding to it - when I explained my reasons for liking it he began to come around and now he DOES like it - but neither of us like the title treatment font, so that will change. There's one other design we both like and part of that title treatment would have to change, too - but I think I'll have both those done and we can use version two on the back of the booklet.
-
What is this page four malarkey and where is dear reader Laura to get all her wonderful birthday wishes.
-
Good evening!
-
Happy Birthday, DR Laura!
-
One more post.
-
Page Five
-
Page 5? Really?
-
Another day of my latest obsession.
-
I wrote for about two and a half hours today.
-
Then I took a break and then I wrote some more.
-
I missed today's Old Actor's Lunch.
-
Actually, the plot of the book took a turn today that I hadn't planned.
-
That was kind of fun.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
What is your favorite sandwich?
-
I love a good tuna sandwich or a good egg salad.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
I am right here.
-
George is at rehearsal.
-
Laura is climbing some mountain.
-
Vixmom is asleep.
-
Jane is probably reading.
-
I have driven our guest away.
-
Maybe they don't like tuna or egg.
-
I also like a good club house sandwich.
-
Maybe I should have lead with that sandwich.
-
Jane, don't you love enjoying something and then being told it's no good?
I felt the same about the new Poldark.
The new one rates about the same as the 1st one, at least on IMBD :)
I "love" being told some is good and hating it, which happens more often than the other way around.
-

You just added way too much to the eggs for me.

The dinner with Richard and Joseph was a surprise birthday party and a lot of fun. I am ready for bed.
A surprise party for you?
-
I'd like some egg salad. Thank you very much.
I made some tonight.
-
Jane is probably reading.
I will be in a few minutes.
-
DR TCB, I am glad you are having a good time writing.
-
I like my egg salad on challah.
-
Tonight we watched "The Good Place". I think we will give it one more try before we decide. We did not watch "Poldark" to my disappointment.
-
I don'the care how good the original series was I am sure this Poldark is much nicer to look at ;)
-
TCB, to my surprise Keith said he recorded "Bull".
-
DR TCB, I am glad you are having a good time writing.
I am having a blast.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
I just got finished with rehearsal and am about to lock up and leave the theater.
-
George is at rehearsal.
What he said...but updated.
;)
-
I am not sure I am writing anything worth reading, but I am really getting into the process.
-
DR TCB, I am glad you are having a good time writing.
I am having a blast.
That's great, Tom!
-
And now, I'm leaving the theater.
Be back in a bit.
-

Don't be gone long!

TCB, to my surprise Keith said he recorded "Bull".
I hope you enjoy it. It just isn't my cup of tea.

Since we are currently at 70% funded, and have two-and-a-half weeks left, I'm going to put up some new perks, two of which might interest some folks here. A bound copy of a 1970 draft of Follies given to me personally by my agent at what was then CMA (now ICM). It's great. Then an early draft (and I mean DRAFT) of A Chorus Line, with so much stuff that never made the show and tons of replaced sections and cross outs - also given to me by my agent. I don't know anyone who has these. I'm thinking $250 each. What do you think?

Sounds like a very good price to me.
-
They'll be up in the morning. If they both go that will put us just 500 bucks from our goal and I feel confident we'll make that.
-
I'm home. I went shopping for the http://www.elmonterey.com/egg-bacon-burrito/ that ChasSmith mentioned this morning, but Albertson's didn't actually have it, even though their website says that they do. Oh, well. I got a couple of other boxes of frozen foodstuffs that I've already enjoyed. :)

Such as what?
