Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fun and rehearsed, and now it is time for you to post until the fun and rehearsed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PERTINACIOUS!
-
First post after BK!
-
Second post after BK!

Good night!

Good night, Tom. I'm off to bed, too. 8)

Good morning, all!
I am sick and going back to bed.

Sounds like it's going to be a great Kritzerland show!
-
Good morning, all.

I'm about to check out of this room and have a little breakfast and hit the road.

Feel better vibes to DR Elmore, and general purpose vibes to all.

Fun in Florida vibes for DR JOHN G.
More order vibes for MR BK!

Another nice cool day for us here in Indiana, today is my shopping and banking day since I didn't do it yesterday.
-
I like the late 50's early 60's of the 20th century in fashion for ladies and gentlemen....more dressed up than we are today....

TOD-- 1920 to 1960
-
Tuesday morning greetings! It's a bee-yoo-tee-ful day here in SW Ohio - perfect for 2 visits to the local Miami University campus. At noon I'm going to the book discussion group at the library to talk about why I only got halfway through Kate Morton's The Lake House. Then this evening Richard and I will go to Verity Lodge to hear our friend Sam the Historian talk about "Bunny Hollow," the former park land on which the campus has sat now for 50 years.
-
Good morning, all!
I am sick and going back to bed.
Sorry you're not feeling well, DR Elmore. Please check in and let us know how you're doing...
-
Feel better vibes for DR ELMORE.
DR GINNY that sounds like a perfect day.....but then I enjoy such things......

TOD:
Fashion?
What's fashion?

Red tide at the beach. Had to leave. Bummer.
-
I finally decided I was getting bed sores and decided what I really needed was a bath. I keep thinking today is Wednesday, so my mind is out of sync.
-
I watched the debates. I think that's what made me sick. The thought of that idiot Tramp in the White House terrifies me, but I'm more terrified of the thugs, goons, and wannabe Nazis surrounding him and his white trash "patriot" supporters coming out of the woodwork like roaches and threatening violence if he loses..
Did anyone else watch besides DRs Jane and vixmom? TCB?
-
Now that I am moving, I need to do some banking and post some bills.
-
DR ELMORE the Mercury Retrograde has ended, so doing ordinary things should be easier and less troublesome.....
-
Feel better vibes to DR Elmore, and general purpose vibes to all.
~~~Ditto and Ditto!!~~~
I recorded and watched the first 20 minutes or so. I'll continue watch it over the next few days. I don't know if I'll get through the whole thing, though. We'll see.
PAGE 2WO DANCE!!
-
Joshie just called me. Unless there's a change in plans, I will head in to City Center tomorrow morning.
-
I'm up, I'm up. Helper canceled the Costco run until after lunch - too bad she texted me that at nine and woke me up after only six hours of sleep.
-
Then I had a nice chat with Cathy Rigby.
-
From DR TCB
I guess Jane went to bed before I could haul out my Christmas questions.
:D
I was in bed, I just switched to my book until I fell asleep.
-
At noon I'm going to the book discussion group at the library to talk about why I only got halfway through Kate Morton's The Lake House.
Why did you only get halfway through the book? I always completed books for a discussion. Sometimes, when others didn't complete the book they would want to after the discussion. Other times they were glad they hadn't finished reading it.
We didn't last long ;D We returned later for some of the recaps.
FEEL BETTER VIBES FOR DR ELMORE!
-
Had the debates permitted a 3rd party to participate we would have watched the entire debate.
I'm up, I'm up. Helper canceled the Costco run until after lunch - too bad she texted me that at nine and woke me up after only six hours of sleep.
I have my cell phone set to mute during my possible sleeping hours.
Thank you all for the vibes! I am feeling much better. I will be happy when this Oct 13 injection is over and that makes sleeping easier for me.
The heat was in full force overnight.
It's my understanding that after today, the heat will lift up and be out of here headed to all points due east (including Indiana, I believe).
Tomorrow will be 10 degrees cooler....Thursday will be 20 degrees cooler.
Over the weekend, we may experience lows in the upper 40s.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
-
Where else on all the internet can you read a comment like..."Then I had a nice chat with Cathy Rigby"?
I ask you...
DR Elmo: I watched the whole thing on MSNBC.
Couldn't get over the split screen. Did Trump not know that his every squint, flinch, grimace, moue, stare, glare, etc., would be on camera while Clinton was speaking?
Some folks say he likely didn't. I think he did...and that it was deliberate but that it backfired.
So surreal, the entire thing.
Howdy, Neighbor! Happy Harvest!
May your forty acres soon be fields of clover
Yes indeed and plant a wish with every seed and by and by
The sun and rain will make an etching
Of a million little green fingers stretching to the sky
Howdy neighbor, happy harvest
Get your rocking chairs for all your cares are over
Clap your hands and lick your chops your bumper crops are on the climb
Hey we're gonna roll in plenty spend a $5 or $10 or $20
And those happy harvest bells are gonna chime
Remember neighbor when you work for Mother Nature
You get paid by Father Time!
Just posted on Facebook by a woman who has done our shows, whose sons have seen her do our shows. This is so blatant I can't even process it - I'm trying to bite my tongue and not respond:
"My sons, Jack Lipson and Benny Lipson have a new and exciting project I want to share with all my friends in Los Angeles! They are producing a brand new cabaret series that will feature top-notch vocalists living in Los Angeles, from the world of the Broadway Musical Theater along with host John Michael Sala, a walking encyclopedia of musical theater knowledge and trivia. This series will be presented once a month at EL CID, an historic restaurant and bar located in the heart of Silver Lake. EL CID is a happening spot in town. You can often catch Late Late Show's musical director Reggie Watts performing there. Please come and check it out! Your support is greatly appreciated. See you there on October 13!"
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
-
Yeah, that's what they say. My variation is: Imitation is the sincerest form of imitation. Why not do something, I don't know, ORIGINAL - you know, like I did when I began these shows six years ago. This happened when I started producing albums - nobody was doing anything like we were doing, then suddenly EVERYONE was doing what we were doing. And guess what happens? You glut the market, the audience gets fractured because they can't see and support all of these things, and everyone loses. It's so tiresome. I just don't understand people, but this one is so blatant right down to the host and once a month that it's just sickening.
-
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Exactly. It may be an irritation but I can't tell you how many timesI used to get calls from people I didn't know asking for a copy of something I wrote for Liz Callaway or another singer.
-
California can keep the heat - thank you very much DR RLP....we're being forecast RAIN....
-
That's a weird BookFace post from someone who obviously borrowed the format......strange.....I hope she doesn't plan on being in anymore Kritzerland shows.
-
Thank you all for the vibes! I am feeling much better. I will be happy when this Oct 13 injection is over and that makes sleeping easier for me.
I am glad you are feeling better. Just my little hip pain is making sleep difficult. I know it is much worst for you.
I would think he knew since it tends to be his usual expression. He seemed to start off ok and then, maybe forgot, and dropped back into that expression.
Poor Keith. He is at the dentist getting the 3 permanent crows put in and they don't fit properly :( This set is a replacement for the first set he had put in. He is very sorry he ever agreed to three crowns. We like the new dentist, and my crown is one of the best fits I have ever had.
Permanent crows? Oh, my...
Back!
Enjoyed an incredibly beautiful drive out of Morgantown, which probably was sharing that nice SW Ohio weather. Much of this route is very scenic, so it never has a chance to get too boring except through the I-81 stretch from Hagerstown MD to about Harrisburg PA. It's mostly flat with nothing to look at, and the truck density is particularly annoying through that section. But I really like most of the rest of that drive.
-
Nice weather and a scenic drive, what a great way to spend the day.
Made the remainder of the Wacky Noodles for lunch - a little less than last time. Then we did the Costco run.
And then someone goes on my Facebook page, where I have not come out and actually said what's bugging me, just alluded to it - so I'm thinking how would this person who I don't know and who's never posted on my page before know? And since we know she's reading this post, you really need mental help, dear girl. Blocked. I'm sure you'll be "friending" me again under whatever other names you can come up with, but I'm on to you, as always.
Hello!
-
Glad to hear you're feeling better, DR elmore!
-
At noon I'm going to the book discussion group at the library to talk about why I only got halfway through Kate Morton's The Lake House.
Why did you only get halfway through the book? I always completed books for a discussion. Sometimes, when others didn't complete the book they would want to after the discussion. Other times they were glad they hadn't finished reading it.
DR Jane, I only got halfway through because it reminded me of the plate of seafood fettuccine alfredo I ordered in a Seattle restaurant many years ago. The more I ate read, the more there seemed to be and I felt like it would never come to an end. Everyone else felt the same, and I told them to "spoil away," so I learned that I had, indeed, figured out the major plot point. They just filled in the details and now I can move on to other things I want to read.
Kate Morton is anything but a "tight" writer.
DR ChasSmith, were you on I-68 going east out of Morgantown across northern Maryland? We've done that drive twice and I think it's a beautiful stretch of highway.
Want to know what Facebook this crazy was using? Marguerite Zelle. Nice name. Google it. I'll save you the trouble - aka Mata Hari - aka spy. Good one Babs. Your sickness knows no bounds.
Saturday's halftime show at Michigan Stadium featured student performers from the musical theatre program:
Blue on Broadway (http://www.youtube.com/embed/vThRzKeaOes)
The announcer is Carl Grapentine, who has been the voice of the Michigan Marching Band since we were in school there together in the late '60s/early '70s. He continues in that role, plus he's the stadium play-by-play announcer for the football team.
-
Sorry for your troubles, BK.
-
Jane, we saw Hell or High Water today. Just excellent. Script and acting. The movie did not look like Texas, however. It looked like little town in New Mexico I used to pass through on the way to Santa Fe. Sure enough, that's where it was shot.
-
DR Jeanne, have you ever watched The Republic of Doyle?
-
Not really troubles. I'm just bored of people ripping off our shows, but more importantly fracturing the already small audience pool, and even more importantly, not just doing something THEY thought of - being original is always more fun and the way to go, but I guess it's easier to just look at someone else's thing and just do it.
-
More alarming than THAT however, was finding out this crazy woman is still stalking me on the Internet - I hadn't imagined (I should have) that she would have followed me to Facebook but she did and then she laid low until she thought she could cause some trouble, which, of course, she didn't. And of course Facebook doesn't allow bogus accounts so I of course will alert them, tell them what her real account is and perhaps they'll just boot her the hell out of there, which is what she deserves. Enjoying this, Babs? Hope so, really, I do.
I cannot tell you how many e-mails I got today about this other show thing from folks who couldn't believe it, so I'm not alone in that.
-
Page three? Really? If only Babs were here to take us to page four. Alas.
-
The allergies they are a happening.
What name is she using now? She might even be one of my friends or another's on this board. I'll unfriend her.
-
DR vixmom, did you get the big email?
-
Neither DR Jeanne nor vixmom is around but I do hope they see my inquiries.
And I return to my DVD.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I'm here now, Larry.
I watched THE REPUBLIC OF DOYLE a year or so ago. I thought I'd like it, but grew tired of it after, I think, two episodes. I found the writing a bit weak, a little too predictable.
-
Maybe I'd better jog.
-
Larry, do you have access to the show I recommended to Jane, A PLACE TO CALL HOME? Riveting.
-
I read the book, and like Kate Morton, which is why I was interested in your response. I agree with your reasons.
It is really sad.
-
I had a most exciting day. I filled my tank, had my car washed (it was quite dirty and this really upsets my neighbor :D ), and stopped for a falafel. I had some free time this afternoon, but it was just TOO HOT to do much. 85 degrees indoors! With both the AC and fan on high. Ugh.
-
Tomorrow should be cooler, thankfully.
And did you know that people avoid the car wash on hot days? I didn't. There was hardly anyone there.
-
There are several Marguerite Zelle's on fb so I couldn't figure out which one she is.
-
Must go feed my face.
Interesting, and funny, on the New Mexico town. I am glad you agree regarding the film, script, and acting. I kind of groaned when Keith said he wanted to see this. It was nice to be wrong.
-
I told Keith about this today. Really, to say it was their original idea was just wrong. If you look at commercials for new shows they all say they are the number one show ::)
I watched THE REPUBLIC OF DOYLE a year or so ago. I thought I'd like it, but grew tired of it after, I think, two episodes. I found the writing a bit weak, a little too predictable.
I'm finally liking it. Took me about seen episodes before it clicked. I also like the views of Newfoundland.
I am glad people have responded regarding the other show. I hope they were vocal on the page. If I knew where to go I would as well.
The Australian series? No.
It is a good show. Is it still on? We haven't seen it since we returned home from our trip.
There are several Marguerite Zelle's on fb so I couldn't figure out which one she is.
She's not one of my friends. I have become more selective now since there are a lot of frauds with false names.
Oh, my goodness! :o Talk about needing to get a life!
-
Actually they're NOT being vocal on the page because no one wants to offend her - she knows what she's doing - it's to help her sons, who are producing. But as you've read, it's just a blatant rip-off of what we do - I mean, you'd have to be blind not to see it, but everyone is "liking" it and no one is saying, "Sounds like what Kritzerland's been doing for, I don't know, six YEARS." It's nauseating.
-
I believe all the marguerite zelle profiles are bogus - but hers showed up right on top. One as Marguerite Zelle and the other as Marguerite Zelle MacLeod.
-
Who can answer my Grand Marnier vs Gran Gala question?
Frustrated with the dentist Keith wanted to go to the local Mexican restaurant we like with the excellent Margarita's. We ordered our usual Cadillac Margarita, only they didn't seem right. We were told, unless otherwise requested, they are made with Gran Gala instead of Grand Mariener which is more expensive.
We know they usually come with Grand Marnier so this surprised us. The waiter brought us an extra shot of Gran Gala since they didn't taste right to us. They still didn't, so the bar tender came and spoke with us and gave us a shot of Grand Marnier and then they were good.
I tasted each shot before we split the additions to our drinks and found the Gala a bit thicker and sweeter than the Marnier. Plain I might have preferred that but in the drinks the Marnier was much more flavorful.
-
Yes, with the extra shot I am a wee bit drunk ;D
Does it show?
-
My hip feels better right now :)
-
Oh, I guess my question is, what do you think of Mariener vs Gala?
-
Yes, nauseating. It would have been fine if she didn't say "original"
So you accepted a friend who has no friends? You need to be more careful. I know it is difficult when you have such a large following of people who want to be friends with you.
-
Well, it's past time for me to leave work, so I'm leaving.
Be back later.
-
Maybe I should give it another try. Some shows get off to a slow start. Acorn has six seasons of it, so someone liked it! I, too, enjoyed the scenery.
-
Larry, do you have access to the show I recommended to Jane, A PLACE TO CALL HOME? Riveting.
The Australian series? No.
Too bad Netflix no longer has it. Acorn has a 30-day free trial. You could watch a lot in 30 days.
-
Larry, do you have access to the show I recommended to Jane, A PLACE TO CALL HOME? Riveting.
It is a good show. Is it still on? We haven't seen it since we returned home from our trip.
Yes, it's still on. Season 4 starts this fall.
Where did you go for a falafel? Was it good?
A few months ago a little place called Fresh Pita opened on Sepulveda, just south of Culver Blvd. Yes, it's good. I just wish restaurants would invest in air fryers ($200-300), rather than deep frying.
-
Until recently, like six months ago, I never paid attention and just accepted whoever friended me. I'm sure she's been laying in wait for this moment for over a year. Had I actually gone to her page before friending her I would have seen that in her friends big as life was Babs, our lovely stalker. That's what I did today and how I knew instantly what was going on. But Googling the name was the surprise - Mata Hari and all. What a crazy.
-
Back from a longer jog - three-and-a-half miles. We call that Wacky Noodles Guilt Jog.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Miss Crazy Lady has friended me under other names. I mean, why stop at two. What's creepy is that she has this need to actually see what I'm posting everywhere. What thrill can she get out of that? Babs, are you reading this? What thrill do you get out of it?
-
Dental vibes to DS Keith.
The dentist I'm now going to makes a new crown in about 30 minutes. I didn't think this was a big deal when my cousin told me about it, but I have to say it is convenient. And I do like the dentist.
-
Good night.
-
Good evening.
-
BK, your facebook posts are all set to "public." Anyone can read them. You could always change them to "friends" only.
The dentist I'm now going to makes a new crown in about 30 minutes. I didn't think this was a big deal when my cousin told me about it, but I have to say it is convenient. And I do like the dentist.
Thank you. I suspect we will be looking for a new dentist once the work is completed. We really liked the guy and the office. Sigh.
BK, your facebook posts are all set to "public." Anyone can read them. You could always change them to "friends" only.
I agree.
Page five? Really?
Gran Gala is half the price of Grand Marnier and, IMO, half the quality. It's a bit too icky sweet and less complex. That said, I love the brightness and freshness of Mexican Controy, which is not the same as Cointreau.
-
Thanks John. If you order a Cadillac Margarita do you specify what you want in it? We always expect Grand Marnier.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Oh late night dwellers, where the HELL are you?
-
My tablet is a bit wonky and there's a lag when I type anything.
-
I freed up some space on the internal memory, so that's not it.
-
I'm going to restart my tablet to see if that helps.
-
Restart that bad boy tablet.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Good evening!
-
My laptop picked tonight to download (very slowly) its updates.
-
Now, almost two hours later............
-
I am finally back online.
-
I watched the debates. I think that's what made me sick. The thought of that idiot Tramp in the White House terrifies me, but I'm more terrified of the thugs, goons, and wannabe Nazis surrounding him and his white trash "patriot" supporters coming out of the woodwork like roaches and threatening violence if he loses..
Did anyone else watch besides DRs Jane and vixmom? TCB?
Nope. I have high blood pressure.
I had to update my phone tonight. It didn't take too long.
-
I had to update my tablet last week.
-
It didn't give me a choice. When I signed on, it captured me and kept me hostage.
-
I went to the Red Wind Casino for lunch today.
-
It all seemed very predictable and very much the same.
Hmmm, predictable and very much the same. LOL!
-
In other words, it just wasn't very good.
-
I think once a month is too often.
-
It didn't give me a choice. When I signed on, it captured me and kept me hostage.
I had the option to "update later," but then I had to specify a time that it would update. I set it to update in five minutes and it only took about five minutes to complete.
Page Six
Tomorrow night is callbacks for WONDERFUL LIFE.
-
I will probably be gone all evening.
-
I still think these callbacks have become a joke.
Break a leg (wheel? ;) ), Tom!
-
I still think these callbacks have become a joke.
??? How so?
-
When I started acting in the Sixties, they used to cast shows from the two nights of auditions.
-
Every once in a while, they would have a callback for one or more roles that they couldn't decide on who to cast.
-
I wonder when the last time anyone was cast from the first or second night of auditions?
-
Great audition! The lead is yours.
-
Sorry. That is the problem with being a dinosaur.
-
The last time I directed, I could have cast all but one role from the two nights of audition.
-
The show I'm ASMing had two nights of auditions, and there were no other audtions.
-
I told the artistic director that, and he was just horrified.
-
Of course, he had already invited several other actors to the callbacks without telling me about it.
Darn. :-\
BK, I am sorry you are having all this aggravation.
