Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a new waist size, and now it is time for you to post until the new waist size cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COLPORTEUR!
-
(From last night)
Good night, George. Have a good day at work tomorrow.
-
And the word of the day is: COLPORTEUR!
I love his music!
-
First after TCB!
-
How did it get to be so early?
-
Good Morning to all
-
Good morning, all.
-
TCB, hot coleslaw could be made with jalapeños or some other spicy ingredients. I like jalapeño in coleslaw just fine.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I wish I had a new waist size.
Oh no! I do! I do!
See, you have to be careful what you wish for.
-
And the word of the day is: COLPORTEUR!
What his signature looked like after he'd had a few.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I've been up for a bit but I had to put the laundry into the washers first thing.
-
I slept late and I have a busy morning.
-
Had to turn the heat on for a while to take the chill off the place. Second time this week.
Not that this is a bad thing -- in most years that practice has usually started right after Labor Day. I do not complain.
-
Friday morning greetings! My "alarm clock" was thunder that rolled through here just after 7am, followed by torrential rain. Richard slept through the whole thing and Rob said their cat was freaked out.
-
TOD:
Last three songs on my iPod: Percy Faith playing "A Summer Place," Joanie Sommers singing "Girl Talk," and the OBC singing "Waiting for the Girls Upstairs."

My windows are open for a while this morning! That doesn't usually happen until well into October.
-
Good morning.
-
Slept only four hours or so. Oh, well. Then called Apple because I could not update any apps on my phone or iPad due to it asking for a very old Apple ID password, with no way to change it because that's how all the apps were purchased back in the days when your Apple ID didn't have to have an e-mail extension on it. So, a really nice guy found out a way around it (not possible to change the password without an e-mail extension) - we ascertained which e-mail address was used long ago to create the original ID, and reset that way and voila it worked and apps are all updating now.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the shedding of the clothes.....this is something I must do since the AMVETS folks are making a pickup next week.
-
Last night's performance of COMPANY was quite good. I prefer seeing OLDER folks play the roles, but everyone sang very well....the orchestra was spot on....and the staging was good.
And those lines and lyrics still land! The audience of mostly college students were laughing and enjoying them all the way through.....

Nice to read this.

From DR George:
Whew! I was born in 1966 and didn't think your kids were older than me!
;D
-
From DR George:
I was cast in "The Physician In Spite of Himself," that TAO is going to do at the same time.
I didn't realize they were at the same time.

How is Richard's hearing ;)
-
Good news phone call vibes for DR TCB!

Page one? Really?

Agreed! I saw a production of "The Fantasticks" a few weeks ago (the one that added mothers ::) :P ) and their El Gallo was just too young.
-
29th post after TCB
Here we are, as BK said, at the end of September.
It is also the very last day of my birthday month.
I feel so much older when the month runs out...for some reason.

How does that work...with mothers? Do they replace the fathers or are they "in addition to"?

Huh?
-
TOD:
No idea!
-
I was supposed to go into NYC but got too late a start to make it work well, so I've been taking advantage of what is now a rain day, going through a few old catch-all file folders that have desperately needed to be cleaned out and, largely, thrown away. The throwing away part is wonderful but the careful sorting takes time and concentration, and I have to be in the mood to do it properly.
-
Dreary day but no rain this afternoon....so far.
-
Congrats to DR GEORGE on his casting.....we need to hear from DR TCB now.

I thought the problem was his eye!

George - congrats on the casting news!

In addition to...they split each father's lines between each father and mother. I don't think they wrote any new added lines. It was kind of awkward, if you ask me, but their audience seemed to love that.

Thanks, Jrand!
-
George - congrats on the casting news!
And thanks, Fred!

TOD: Add "Valley of the Dolls" and "Drive" to the pile of unopened/unplayed Blu ray discs awaiting my attention.
For CDs, it's Babs' "Encore" and Chenoweth's "Art of Elegance" albums languishing atop a pile of other CDs.

He's falling apart.

LOL, I suspected as much.

A friend told me today about this new California law that Jerry Brown signed, and I thought he was kidding me. Apparently, he wasn't.
REGULATING COW FARTS!?!
http://nypost.com/…/it-will-soon-be-illegal-for-cows-to-fa…/
And, this brilliant law joins:
1. Convicts voting.
2. Making it virtually impossible to sell an autograph in California any longer.
3. Oh, yes! And that train in the middle of the state that nobody will ride.
LOL!
Am I glad that I don't live in CA any longer.
-
Dozed off for a bit. Prior to that, I went and had a Chinese chicken salad and a bagel for my meal o' the day, and now I really must jog - don't know if I'll have the stamina for the longer jog, but I'll try.
-
Page two? Really?
-
I know.
A very slow day. The last work day of the week. The last day of September. Friday.
-
Today, the cast of Beautiful recorded our ballad "My Love Brought Me Summer on a Gray Winter's Day" from Moonshine & Mistletoe for this years's Broadway Cares "Carols for A Cure" CD.
-
Nice to have something good happening this week.
-
We love good things.

Nice!
-
Definitely a good thing. And we'll take 'em.
-
Well, I am worn out from picking through needles in haystacks, but I got some good cleaning up done today.

I know it sounds silly, but if it works it can make a big difference in the enviornment. I am surprised it only effects milking cows and not all cows.

Congratulations, DR elmore!
-
George Dvorsky was a terrific El Gallo in The Fantastics a couple of years ago.
-
Page 3!
-
Page three? REALLY?
-
This is utter balderdash.
-
Back from a three-and-a-half mile jog.
-
Sorry to have been so E & T I have been working coming home and falling asleep in the recliner most days and going back to work.
-
I am so glad this week is over
-
I just feel kind of quiet tonight.
-
Well, it's quite here at work, too.
-
Mostly because I'm the only one left in the building.
;)
-
And now, it's almost time for me to leave.
-
But not yet.
-
I still have about 10 more minutes or so.
-
And now, it's close enough.
-
I'm going home.
-
Be back later.
-
I finally got my phone call.
I have accepted the role of Mr. Potter in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE playing at the Lakewood Playhouse November 25 thru December 18.
-
Congratulations!

-
I'm back in San Antonio.
-
Starting to watch Wim Wenders' Kings of the Road, the last of his road trilogy. It's almost three hours long, so I doubt I'll finish it tonight.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I think my trip went well.
-
My friend Hillary has an odd disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth that leaves her exhausted in addition to its other conditions, so I didn't want to stay too long.
-
It also left me with plenty of time to read. I finished a John D. MacDonald novel set in Sarasota and got 130 more pages into volume two of Proust.
-
I ate well.
-
I slept well.
-
I spent time with friends.
-
All in all, a good time.
-
On Monday, it's back to work.
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?
-
I think my trip went well.
I am glad you had a nice time.
-
My friend Hillary has an odd disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth that leaves her exhausted in addition to its other conditions, so I didn't want to stay too long.
I looked this up.😕
-
Page 4? Are you serious?
-
I didn't do much today.
-
I spent most of the day waiting for the phone call.
-
Bruce, congrats on fitting into the old jeans.
-
I spent most of the day waiting for the phone call.
I hate when that happens. At least it was worth the wait :)
-
I watched several episodes of a British series called CONSPIRACIES.
-
A couple episodes were pretty interesting, but certainly not great.
-
I spent most of the day waiting for the phone call.
I hate when that happens. At least it was worth the wait :)
Very true!
-
I had cheese and crackers for my meal today.
-
I hadn't planned it that way, but it just worked out that way.
-
I probably should have scrambled a couple of eggs, but I wasn't really hungry.
-
I think I will go out for breakfast tomorrow.
-
Bruce keeps talking about that chili, cheese, and onion omelet, and it really sounds good.
-
Nicky will have to sleep in the living room tomorrow, but that is okay.

I have never seen THE BAND WAGON.
-
Or maybe THREE LITTLE WORDS
-
Greetings, 3 Guests!
-
I wonder if George had rehearsal tonight.
-
Soon I will be asking if I have rehearsal tonight.
-
I don't even know yet when rehearsals will begin.
-
The director said she would let me know later.
-
Um, page FOUR? Let us stop this folly, seriously.
-
Back from a nightclub show - I saw it with our Now Playing critic Rob - so I shan't talk about it as he'll do that.
-
It is going to be rough getting back into rehearsal mode.
5
-
Usually by 7:00 p.m., I am no longer wearing pants.
-
Or a shirt.
-
I can't do that at rehearsal.
-
I was telling someone how many kids there were at callbacks. I said that I guess they all want to play Foofoo.
-
I was reminded that it was Zuzu.
-
The actress who played Zuzu lives about thirty miles from here.
-
Hopefully, no one will invite her to our show.
-
Less than an hour until October arrives.
-
Then comes November.
-
And then...........
THE HOLIDAYS!!
-
Tomorrow night I get to see Steve Martin's UNDERPANTS.
-
I need to switch computers.
-
And I am back.
-
I doubt anyone knew I was gone.
-
This afternoon I went to Lakewood's web site to see if there was any news about the casting.
-
They didn't, but there was one small typo concerning our show.
-
The site said our show was opening November 15 instead of the 25th.
-
I was freaking out. "Why are we opening on a Tuesday night?
-
Not to mention 10 less days of rehearsal.
-
Oh well! I should tell someone about that.
-
I need all the time available to learn my lines.
-
I know I just played this part three years ago, but this is not the same version that I did before.
-
Which makes it a little bit more difficult.
-
There are about a dozen versions of the play available for production.
-
I finally got my phone call.
I have accepted the role of Mr. Potter in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE playing at the Lakewood Playhouse November 25 thru December 18.
Congratulations (again), Tom!!
-
Topic of the Day: today, I listened to the cast recording of So Long, 174th Street (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000004COO/) at work.
-
I bought the revisal cast recording of Enter Laughing (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003T8BWYI/) about a week earlier, so I thought that I should have the original version.
-
I'd heard of both of these, but never got either of them until now.
-
Now, my life is complete.
-
PAGE SIX COMPLETE-LIFE DANCE!!
-
;)
-
Well, I did it. What, you may ask? I, since I'm the treasurer of Theater Artists Olympia, submitted an application for a grant for TAO at themorganfund.com (http://themorganfund.com/).
The Morgan Fund (a donor advised fund held at Seattle Foundation) was established in 2004 to support performing arts organizations. Our goal is simple: To encourage high quality performing arts for the community.
Our primary focus is theatre and dance, and we prefer to support small to medium size organizations (budget size of less than $2 million). Typically, grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.
-
And now, we wait.
-
On Monday, it's back to work.
Don't you hate it when that happens? :P
-
:D
-
Page four? Really?
Not anymore!
-
Bruce keeps talking about that chili, cheese, and onion omelet, and it really sounds good.
I know! I need to try that, also!
-
I wonder if George had rehearsal tonight.
Nope. I went to a local Happy Teriyaki for dinner, then came home and worked on the grant, which took me longer than I expected.
-
Back from a nightclub show - I saw it with our Now Playing critic Rob - so I shan't talk about it as he'll do that.
Hopefully, you both enjoyed it.
-
Usually by 7:00 p.m., I am no longer wearing pants.
Or a shirt.
I can't do that at rehearsal.
Well, it depends on the kind of rehearsal. ;)
:))
