Well, you've read the notes, the notes had euphoria, and now it is time for you to post until the euphoric cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MACADAM!
-
First post after BK!
-
Uhhh, BK, you might want to adjust your notes. This is not ASK BK DAY!
-
I don't know WHAT you're talking about?
-
:D
-
Good night, all.
-
Good night, Tom!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I must make a trip to City Center this morning. It may be a long day. Jodhie and I need to slug through Act Two of The King & I.
-
I look forward to spending a weekend around the apartment, I have much tidying up to continue.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Elmore, did you ever find that Tolstoy mini-series you were looking for?
-
Elmore, did you ever find that Tolstoy mini-series you were looking for?
Nope. I know it will turn up but it hasn't yet.
-
Where the fat hell are all the morning denizens?
-
I always have my iPod on shuffle, so the last songs I heard were:
Helen Forrest singing "My Secret Love"
Tommy Sands and Annette Funicello singing the title song to "The Parent Trap"
Beverly Kinney singing "You Couldn't Be Cuter"
and Nellie Lutcher singing "Blue Skies? (Wella kissa me sweet)
-
I screwed up my debit card the other day and I am having the worst time getting Citibank to help me out. I made a trip to my branch yesterday, and there is no longer a Customer service desk or any sign telling you how to cope.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Friday. And our last warm day for the week.
-
I was told the ragweed level had increased a couple of days ago, but I felt nothing. This morning it's like you drilled a tap into my sinuses and turned the faucet on.
Benadryl and coffee, please.
-
Glad to hear from last night's posts that Druxy is doing well after his surgery!
-

That's interesting, Larry. Citibank (from at least what I've seen in random branches) seems to have pulled back a bit on customers' ability to deal with people in the branches, while both Chase branches I've gone to seem to have actually expanded the availability of bank officers and others to deal with on an in-person basis.
-
Perhaps the BookFace post was dictated by DR DRUXY to SANDY.......
-
Good morning! Almost time to say good-bye to the Big Apple.
-
Continued writing vibes to DR TCB and Non Annoyance vibes for MR BK.
-
TOD from yesterday!
DANSE MACABRE - a book about what is scary to Stephen King in books and movies from his childhood and beyond....most interesting and entertaining.

Forgot that one. And On Writing, which was practical and helpful.

I hate the new update on my iPhone. Very slow and cumbersome.
-
Paul and I saw "Holiday Inn" on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun and of course it has a lot of great songs. Bryce Pinkham has such a great singing voice.
-
Some other friends joined us for dinner on Wednesday at Carmine's.
-
Page 2!!!

Yesterday we too a 6 hour walking tour. Well, it wasn't all walking. We took the subway to lower Manhattan and then the Staten Island Ferry. We got to Staten Island and then got on the next Ferry heading back to Manhattan. While I had previously seen just about everything on the tour on other trips, it was a fun day. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us interesting facts about various sites.
-
Last night we saw "Fiddler on the Roof" and enjoyed it very much. Danny Burstein is perfect for the role (and was so nice at the stage door, as always).
-
KevinH is near lucky post #7000.
-
DR elmore--Danny returned your good wishes and mentioned what a talented man you are!
-
Hi FJL-- thanks for noticing! I know I'm a piker compared to everyone else, post-wise!
-
TOD:
Krisin Chenowith's new "The Art of Elegance" CD. It's pleasant enough, but it has no dynamic. Pretty much every song has the same tempo (medium-slow), which makes it a bit of a snooze-fest. She does have a knack for picking songs with great melodies, and I understand her "elegant" theme, but I would argue a song can be perky and elegant at the same time.
-
Hi everyone!
-
Yes, I'm still alive. Barley - I've been playing in a production of Spring Awakening and it takes a little of my life away each performance. Such dreck...
-
I have a question about the new Sherman Brothers release.
I'm assuming that the CD is made up of Robert Sherman's archival recordings?
-
Thanks for the NYC Report DR KEVINH

No customer service 😕
Good vibes you get this sorted out.

Friday morning greetings! Another puttery morning for me after a much better night's sleep. Later this afternoon I'll put a chicken in the oven to roast before Richard and I go downtown for the First Friday festivities. We'll have a nice dinner when we get home.
-
Perhaps the BookFace post was dictated by DR DRUXY to SANDY.......
Good point, or it was all the computer time he could manage.
-
I hate the new update on my iPhone. Very slow and cumbersome.
Hmmm, I must not use my phone enough to notice a difference.
-
Has anyone heard from DR Michael?
-
Good morning.
TOD: I have a cd that I got about ten years ago in the car that is by a pianist in Las Vegas. There are so many extraneous notes that I have a hard time telling what he is playing sometimes. Plus, there is an extra-bad synthesizer as backup.
On the YouTube, I have been watching Great Depression Cooking by a 90+ Italian grandmother. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OPQqH3YlHA
-
TOD:
CD: Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington
DVD: Decalogue's, Tell Me You Love Me, Janie Moon
Car CD: Housebroken by Laurie Nataro
-
It's made of of Richard Sherman's archival recordings save for the three songs we did vocals for.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
Following the news in Florida I originally thought DR Michael was to be hit hard by Matthew. It looks like he should be ok.
-
Lama-lama-lama!
-
Sha-ZAM!
-
Gallimaufry!
-
Happy Friday!
Happy End of the Work Week (traditional)!
Happy Payday (if applicable)!
-
Oh! My!
No other posts for one hour and 5 minutes?
-
Only a few more posts to go until Page 3.
-
I have a ton of CDs and Blu ray discs I haven't watched.
-
I keep getting distracted by other things.
-
I think I need a social secretary.
-
Perhaps a Day Planner would suffice?
Page 3
-
DR Ron, has your family had to evacuate?
-
Back from a chili, cheese, and onion omelet and an English muffin.
-
Good to see you, Matthew.
-
DR Ron, has your family had to evacuate?
No. They are well away from the coast.
-
I am back from a long day at City Center. Joshie and I worked on The King & I in the morning, and then we had a long Encores! meeting with Rob Berman.
-
I, too, like Stephen King's Danse Macabre very much.
-
DR RLP have fun watching your CD's.
-
DR LAURA perhaps you are just enjoying the stylings of Jonathan Edwards. He specializes in fractured fifths and considers the notes in the music to be mere suggestions. 8)

Thanks! I hope to.

Except for a few things, this is what today is like here:
It's a lazy afternoon
And the beetle bugs are zooming
And the tulip trees are blooming
And there's not another human in view,
But us two
It's a lazy afternoon
And the farmer leaves his reaping
And the meadow cows are sleeping
And the speckled trouts stop leaping up stream
As we dream
A far pink cloud hangs over the hill
Unfolding like a rose
If you hold my hand and sit real still,
You can hear the grass as it grows
It's a hazy afternoon
And I know a place that's quiet, except for daisies running riot
And there's no one passing by it to see
Come spend this lazy afternoon with me
The exceptions? No beetle bugs, no tulip trees, no speckled trouts, no farmers reaping, no meadow cows sleeping, and no daisies running riot.
But virtually EXACTLY like the song lyrics (minus those exceptions).
;)

No. They are well away from the coast.
Good. I saw all the photos and videos on your fb page and wondered.
-
I am pleased to report that my MRI was, once again, normal.
-
Great news, Jane!
-

Very good news!

Good news DR JANE!
-
Page three? Really?
-
Was going to take a jogging break today but, you know, I'll do one anyway - but the two-and-a-half mile at most.
-
Well, I'm leaving now. I'm going to my parents' for our weekly family dinner.
Be back later.
-
Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog.
-
Thank you, FJL, George, and Jrand66. I was way overdue for the test so it was a relief.
-
We went to a local restaurant for dinner. We go mostly for the delicious Manhattans and the best spinach, artichoke dip served with wonderful pita bread they make. Every time the bread is slightly different. We also like the service.
-
Page three? REALLY?
-
I dozed off. Really.
-
I am bored of this page.
-
Of this page I am bored.
-
Bored I am of this page - ooh, what am I, Yoda all of a sudden?
-
Someone's trying to gaslight me.
-
Because there is no way we can't be on page four.
-
Really.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I'll now finish a motion picture then sit in the hot tub.
-
Good evening, all.
-
Where is everyone tonight?
-
Watching Junie Moon. Have never seen this. Liza Minnelli and Ken Howard are really good. Robert Moore, too, and Kay Thompson.
-
It was a long day.
-
Our team had a dessert-apalooza with more sugar than I should ever contemplate eating.
-
But of course I did.
-
I didn't find much that I liked, however.
-
There were Girl Scout Mint Brownies, which should have been great. But they tasted like bad feet smell.
-
Mississippi mud brownies should have been good, but they tasted like a chemical spill with coconut.
-
Gooey butter cake was good. It tasted like butter.
-
Ginger molasses cookies, supposedly made from a mix, were also really good.
-
I made a fig tart. It was OK, but I used too much butter and not enough flour, so the dough was too fragile.
-
Hello, 1 guest.
-
What's your favorite dessert?
-
And what's your blood sugar?
-
Gratuitous post no. 108!
-
Time to get the cupcakes baking.
-
Not really.
-
The reviews for Holiday Inn, not surprisingly, were not great.
-
Still, I'd like to see it, even if they threw out some of the better songs.
-
And they threw out "Abraham."
-
Still, it's Irving Berlin on Broadway.
-
Who wants this page to move on?
-
Any hands?
-
Down to 0 guests.
-
Guess I can't ask them about their favorite use for Cheez-Whiz.
-
But we're off to the races.
-
Or at least page five!
-
Good evening!
-
Happy Friday to one and all!
-
Hello, John! Happy cupcakes!
-
Guess I can't ask them about their favorite use for Cheez-Whiz.
You can't answer that on a family site.
-
Friday morning greetings! Another puttery morning for me after a much better night's sleep. Later this afternoon I'll put a chicken in the oven to roast before Richard and I go downtown for the First Friday festivities. We'll have a nice dinner when we get home.
What are First Friday festivities?

TOD:
CD: Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington

Is Janie related to Junie Moon?
-

I have one of their CDs. I love it.
-
Good to see Matthew here tonight.
-
I wrote another chapter today.
-
It was a little lighter than the rest of the book.
-
Well, hopefully, the entire book has a lighter feel to it, in spite of the dead bodies.
-
I guess John went to bed, without saying good night.
-
Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
Where is your ideal vacation location?
-
I guess my dream location would be Tahiti.
-
Wow! We now have 3 Guests. WELCOME!
-
I need to get ready for bed and take my medications.
-
I also need to switch computers.
-
I made a fig tart.
I have a headache, my eyes are blurry, and I was falling asleep. Use your imagination to figure out what I thought you made,
😃
-
On the dessert menu tonight was caramel apple cheesecake. Keith was very proud of me for not ordering it.
It wasn'the that difficult as I am still very full.

You could have taken it home to have for breakfast.
-
Now, I have lost Jane and all three guests.
-
Feel better vibes for DR Jane!
-
Finished my viewing, sat in the hot tub and am relaxing.
-
We've had tons of nice orders for the OOP sale at Kritzerland. But I just never understand people - we have about twenty or more outstanding orders from people who were so thrilled we found this stuff, ordered it but then don't pay in a timely fashion. So, I've warned everyone that they will miss out on wanted titles if they wait much longer - several are down to one and two copies and I have a waiting list.
-
No dear readers and no guests.
-
I could be working on my book.
-
I could be reading a book.
-
I could have gotten booked.
