Well, you've read the notes, the notes were 122% fresh, and now it is time for you to post until the 122 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BRAVURA!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
BK, Congrats on the successful Indiegogo campaign!
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
First poster after George and BK!
-
Good night, George.
-
Good morning to all
-
Congrats on achieving the goal all the way!!
-
Congrats to BK!
-
Excellent advice from BK in last night's posts not to delete what you write, at least until you read it over first from a fresh perspective!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the successful INDIEGO Campaign!
-
Have a fun brunch with Miss Hayley Mills - count how many autograph seekers you get....
-
Good morning, all! I slept late.
-
I had no real reason to be up and about, so I lay in bed and dozed. I had a weird dream that I and two others were house sitting the winter an estate high in the Carpathian Mountains.
-
I have no plans today. I must clean off my writing table. It's become unmanageable.
-
I finished season 3 of Republic of Doyle last night. I am enjoying it much more than I ever expected.
-
DR vixmom, it's nice to see you. I hope you are feeling better.
-
Congratulations on the 122%
-
Good morning, all.
-
And it's a late one!
-
Enjoying a rather pleasant dark cool rainy Sunday morning in the recliner.
-
Good morning.
-
And getting a little hungry.
Perhaps vixmom will come back and entertain us with stories of a delicious IHOP breakfast.
-
I cannot get motivated to accomplish much today. Perhaps it's because I'm tied to the apartment until Wednesday?
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep, or maybe even eight and a half but really weird and maddening dreams.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! No one in our household went to church today. Richard has been having some stomach issues all week, Rob worked 4pm yesterday to 2am today, and Mary Linda is getting ready for a visit from her parents this afternoon/evening. If no one else goes, I'm sure not going alone.
-
I am so ready to write a screed about this political season and Facebook - SO ready.
-
I am so ready to write a screed about this political season and Facebook - SO ready.
I'd love to read that.
-
Is it page 2 yet?
-
I shall shortly be on my way to have bruncheon.
-
I am so ready to write a screed about this political season and Facebook - SO ready.
Color me curious.
-
Have fun at brunch, BK.
-
And congrats on the 122%.
-
This political season has been so depressing and dividing that it is almost beyond comprehension.

Watching Hello, My Name Is Doris is on. I wasn't crazy with the beginning (I really don't like comedies in which a person is the butt of jokes), but I'm starting to enjoy it as Doris starts getting out of her shell.
-
Congratulations on the success of your Indie-Go campaign.
-
DR vixmom, it's nice to see you. I hope you are feeling better.
thank you I am feeling better this morning
-
I was not sneezing this morning and I didn't have a sore throat anymore so i got up, showered and dressed and got to church by 8
-
I set up the coffee hour, made six pots of coffee and had Pastor make an announcement that we needed servers
-
then I was one of the communion assistants, checked to see that coffee hour was carrying on and set off for home
-
its been grey and rainy all day
-
When I got home the plumbers and Vixdad were were having a chat
-
every year our thermocoupler fails on the coldest day of the year
-
so this year we had the plumbers in prior to winter to inspect and clean up the furnace and replace the thermocoupler before it failed
-
then the plumbers left and Vixdad took me ( as predicted by Chas) to IHOP
-
Since it was already noon by then, I decided to have a lunch item rather than a breakfast item, so I had the very lovely Citrus grilled chicken, pecan salad
-
It was delicous
-
just before we left we watched the end of Castaway, which Vixdad had been watching. I cam in while Tom Hanks was already on the raft. That was such a well done film and Tom Hanks was magnificent
I may have to pull the DVD off the shelf and watch the whole thing
-
congratulations on your successful campaign, BK
-
I've listened to Bryn Terfel sing hymns and Beverly Sills and company perform Lucia di Lammermoor. I had a nice talk with my friend Peter Foley about some projects and left Joshie a message. He's tied up, I think, preparing for Tuesday's orchestra reading of Sunday in the Park with George.
I'm fighting my inclination for a nap/
-
Why fight it, Elmore? Nap away.
-
Glad you're feeling better, Vixmom.
-
Starting to watch Spectre. I may nap, too, instead of watching it all in one sitting. The intro was actually not very exciting, and the title sequence was only OK. The song, at least, was better than I remember the last one or two being.
-
Has anyone read a novel called "A Gentleman in Moscow"?
-
Delicious word of the day: Lickspittle.
It refers to a fawning subordinate.
It's a gobstopper.
-
I ended up beginning the Britcom Spy, starring Robert Lindsay. I love it.
-
Nice weather day....clear and sunny....and a high of 62 degrees.
-
Back from a most delightful brunch with Hayley and her boyfriend, a very nice chap she's been with for a number of years. We had a lot of laughs and fun and they'll be back in January so we'll sup then. I just adore this woman.
-
Three!
-
Page three? Really?
-
I ended up beginning the Britcom Spy, starring Robert Lindsay. I love it.
Don't know this series. But I like Lindsay.
-
Off to usher for the B-52's.
-
If no one else goes, I'm sure not going alone.
;D
-
I have had home dinner and i'm settling in for the Big Debate. This one should be a knock-down-drag-out battle and since more Trump tapes have been released, mud will be flung, I'm pretty sure.
I'm hoping for bloodshed.
-
DR vixmom, it's nice to see you. I hope you are feeling better.

Good.
-
Has anyone read a novel called "A Gentleman in Moscow"?
While it looks interesting I passed on it as I was just ok with "Rules of Civility".
-
We saw Bridget Jones today. It was cute, nothing great. I did laugh out loud at times.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
How's your cough, Jrand?
I hope you like the Boiron cough syrup as much as I do. I took the child's dose (half of the adult) and 20 minutes later I coughed once and that was the end of it--no more cough.
-
Health vibes to all who are under the weather.
-
John G, I, too, saw the Jules Dassin interview. He's completely charming.
-
Watching Hello, My Name Is Doris is on. I wasn't crazy with the beginning (I really don't like comedies in which a person is the butt of jokes), but I'm starting to enjoy it as Doris starts getting out of her shell.
I agree with you. I thought it got off to a rocky start, but then found its footing and had some nice moments.
-
Delicious word of the day: Lickspittle.
It refers to a fawning subordinate.
It's a gobstopper.
Why, you little lickspittle you!
I'll have to remember that one. Not that anyone beyond HHW will know what it means.
-

Modern day gladiators?
-
Congrats to BK on his IndieGoGo success.
-
I have no news.
-
TTFN.
-
I'm home.

When I went to the new dental practice here the hygienist asked if I was taking antibiotics before the cleaning because of my artificial body part. In fact we had to have a big discussion about it. I am glad neither my orthopedic surgeon or my previous dental office suggested I do so.
This is the first article I have ever seen on the subject. (https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/did-his-artificial-hips-put-him-at-risk-of-infection-when-he-saw-the-dentist/2016/10/07/1a0d4b54-60a5-11e6-9d2f-b1a3564181a1_story.html)
It includes those who take antibiotics for heart problems and an artificial heart valve.
-
A lull.

Today's tech rehearsal took a little longer than expected, but we got through everything that we needed to, so that's good. Vanessa, the stage manager, and I painted the floor after everyone left, but it turns out that the paint that I got was purple, not black! When I bought the paint, I said that I needed black, so I don't know what happened.
-
Vanessa said that it'll be okay. One of the plays even mentions the color purple (a "The Color Purple" reference ;) ), so it might not be a problem.
-
I'm watching the debate. I started late, so I'm about 10 minutes behind the live broadcast.
-
its been grey and rainy all day
It's been raining all day here in the Olympia/Tumwater area, too. I love the rain. ;D
-
Off to usher for the B-52's.
That sounds like fun! I hope you enjoy it!

DITTO!
I am sorry I didn't say something sooner.
-
Well, since we're so close...
-
PAGE FOUR DANCE!!
-
Good evening!
-
Page four? Barely?
-
Our rain was gone by 11:00 a.m. this morning.
-
Our rain was gone by 11:00 a.m. this morning.
It moved south to Olympia!
-
We are supposed to have a couple of nice days this week before the rains return.
-
Page four? REALLY?
-
TCB, I spent a lot of time talking to Hayley's boyfriend about the book he's been slaving over for five years - I think I gave him some good advice and I think he was happy to hear it.
-
It actually may get to 70 degrees one day.
-
Back from an excellent meal at Genghis Cohen. I ate less than I usually do, so that's good. The only remaining question is whether I do a jog of some sort in thirty minutes - I just may.
-
I took BK's advice and read over yesterday's writing.
-
It was not totally horrible.
-
I was able to save a lot of it.
-
Writing today was easier than yesterday.
-
It was not totally horrible.
That's something. :)
-
I didn't feel like I was forcing my work today.
-
The B-52's were great fun. I had seen them 25 or so years ago in what remains one of my favorite concerts of all time. Ziggy Marley and the Melodymakers opened for them, and it was an evening of sheer joy, from the reggae to the New Wave. It was outdoors and everybody was just having a good time.
Age has slowed the band down a bit. The tempos were a lot slower for a couple of the songs. But that joy was still there. And the audience had a great time.
-
I think this is the first time that I realized just how much of Cheap Date from Planet Clare owes to Mancini's music for Peter Gunn.
-
I came home to finish up Spectre. Maybe it worked better in the theater. On TV, it felt a little too pat and geriatric.

That is good news.
-
My allergies are kicking in. Time for a Benedryl and bed.
-
Good night, John. I hope the medication works.
-
I woke up this morning feeling like I was coming down with a cold.
-
I wasn't sick, but just a little queasy and my throat was sore.
-
But I survived.
-
One post more.
-
5ive!
-
I talked to Sandy this weekend.
-
He is feeling pretty good this week.
-
He even decided to rent a car for the holidays this coming week.
-
Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog - glad I did it.
-
We are going to meet half way between our two homes for lunch this week.
-
That will make it easier for me to not have to fight the Seattle traffic.
-
Where is half way?

That's a good idea. Where are you thinking of going?

Where is half way?
Southcenter. It is near the airport.

I haven't been to one in years. I've only ever gone a couple of times...but it was good.

I met my cousin there for lunch last year, and I thought it was pretty good. Not cheap, but it wasn't bad.
-
The best one I ever had was the anniversary cheesecake.
-
Relaxing and listening to music.
-
What is your favorite cheesecake?
That is pretty tough. Dulce de leche or maybe chocolate peanut butter
-
Or cherry, or maybe Oreo
-
Don't get me started.
-
What was the anniversary cheesecake?
-
Now I want the anniversary cake. If you remember please see if it is an option there.
-
Layers of original cheesecake, fudge cake, and chocolate truffle cream. See my next post for a link to a photo of the 30th anniversary cheesecake.

It is ranked as #9 on their list of 34 cheesecakes. I don't know how old this survey is.

I didn'the get much sleep last night. I am going to return to the book I just began, THE WONDER, by the author of ROOM and hopefully fall asleep.
-
'night DR TCB.
-
Good night, Jane.
-
What is your favorite cheesecake?
I had a recipe for a chocolate caramel cheesecake that was absolutely delish!
