Well, you've read the notes, the notes brunched, and now it is time for you to post until the brunching cows come home.

And the word of the day is: ROISTER!

Tom, the cheesecake recipe that I have (had? :-\ ) was actually a chocolate turtle cheesecake with caramel and pecans...but without actual turtles, of course.

Was it difficult to make?
-
Nope. I think this pretty close to the recipe I had, which I got from a magazine many years ago:

Actually, it's closer to this recipe. The cheesecake part was chocolate:

And now, I'm off to bed.
Good night, Tom.

Good morning.

I am going to spend the day with my buddy, Wae-Ling Goldstein. She used to be my little buddy, but she's almost as tall as I am now.
We are going to look at autumn leaves today. She has never seen the big display of color.
-
Good morning!
-
Any good stories that you're allowed to tell about the Mills sisters doing "Legends" together?
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, it's a Monday.
And don't let them tell you otherwise.
-
It's a day to work indoors, as it's still windy as hell and I couldn't do much outside even if I wanted to.
Got some musical work to do, which will be good.
-
One main dream, I think, something about one song from a show. Which really tells you a lot, I know. I'll try to do better next time.
-
My, these posts are full of brilliance this morning. Perhaps I had best step aside and let someone else have a chance to shine.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept pretty well last night. I thought I'd be all riled up over the debates.
-
I'm hoping that Jason will bring me the remaining Act Two edits so I can get to work on them. My work table still remains a work in progress. Much needs to be cleared up, and the apartment still needs work. Part of my delay has been the a determination on whether I will need the air conditioner again in the next month.

I recall meeting Juliet Mills. She was a guest on a radio show that taped from Junior's restaurant, which was one of my publicity accounts.
Nice lady, but she seemed to be a bit agitated. Her boy friend at the time was, I believe, the actor who starred in in GREASE II. He showed up at the table midway through the show, and there was definitely tension in the air.

Happy Columbus Day!
-
Speaking of cheesecake (yesterday), we had the carrot cake cheesecake at Junior's last week. Delicious!

I guess that that was not one of their better days together.

The boyfriend she married and is still married to.
I won't delete my post even though I see you now know this. ;D

I am surprised I did not dream of cheesecake.

Howdy y'all!!!

Good morning, all.

The Benedryl did not work, so I had a horrible night of no sleep and not breathing right. Thankfully about 40 percent of the people I work with feel the same.

I knew Maxwell Caulfield rather well during my Drama Book Shop days around 1980-1982. He was very friendly and fun to talk to. We had a good time dishing Liz Taylor's Little Foxes revival when we ran into each other at intermission. The last time I saw him was in the late 1990s in the play My Night with Reg.

Monday afternoon greetings! I was outta here before 9am to meet my college friend Anne for coffee in the southern Dayton 'burbs. She was in Dayton visiting her brother over the weekend and is probably halfway home to Michigan by now. We had fun catching up and enjoying some breakfast pastries.
-
Now I'm waiting to hear from Becky about meeting up in Oxford, OH, to attend the inauguration of Miami University's new president.

"Peter Allen, whose nonoperatically light tenor and precise but not pedantic style introduced more than 500 performances for the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday afternoon radio broadcasts, died on Saturday at his home in Manhattan. He was 96."

I once interviewed Juliet Mills when she appeared at the Berkshire Theater Festival. I think she was appearing in The Chalk Circle, which her sister did the movie of.
-
Was the play the Circle and the film the Garden? Which role to she play?
There is a German play called The Caucasian Chalk Circle but I don't belief you meant this one.
-
DR JohnG, The play is Enid Bagnold's The Chalk Garden? The only Circle play I know of is Brecht's Caucasian Chalk Circle.
-
LOL DR elmore, I kind of just said that. I admit, I had to look of the The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
-
I don't feel well.
HOWEVER I will highly recommend the Bioron Cough Syrup recommended to me by DR JEANNE. I am using the Chestal incarnation of the medicine. ;D
Even though it has honey it in - do not expect it to taste good. I am taking it in conjunction with my Clairitin D, and my cough is going away....with only the stray one here and there.
-
Never type when food is being served to you. Sorry. I meant Chalk Garden
-
There are two plays that won't play in repertory or in some Twisted mashup.
-
Drove to the post office and forgot it was a holiday.
-
So I treated myself to some Tex-Mex goodness. Too bad I can't have a margarita at lunch.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think I got close to eight hours of sleep but not all at the same time.
-
Yes, Juliet is still married to Maxwell. No my 13-year old self would never have imagined but I'm sure glad I have a new friend.

Moonshine and Mistletoe is now on a January recording schedule, but it's going to happen.

In early November I have a meeting with MasterVoices about their April concert of Babes In Toyland at Carnegie Hall. I don't know exactly what it means yet, but I'm meetign with them.

I still cannot release the Really Big News! Soon, I hope.

Two announcements full of great news from DR Elmore!!
-
I spent an hour setting up the ticketing for The Brain concert - but we can't go live until the seating chart stuff happens and that will take three to five days - so the event page on Facebook can't go up until then.

Good recording news from DR ELMORE!

Do any of these Tex-Mex restaurants you eat at have spinach enchiladas?

One or two. I really like them.

Waiting to see a doctor. My allergies have turned into a cough. Can't afford to be sick 20 days before vacation.

I am hoping that before the year is over I will have met a DR in person.
-
We will be traveling to where this DR lives.
-
This DR is a he and is not aware of my plans yet ;)
-
The location is on my bucket list to visit at Christmas time.
-
I am hoping we can go out for spinach enchiladas and margaritas :D
-
Hmmmmm. I wonder who it could be.....
-
Since most of the US was on holiday today I had only three phone calls and only about 60 emails ( instead of the usual 250+). As a result it was an extremely productive day and I actually left the office a little after 3 pm

3:00! Wow! :)
-
Seriously? That would be wonderful, Jane.
-
When?
-
Seriously? That would be wonderful, Jane.
Yup, seriously. Your Tex-Mex lunch was perfect timing for my little lead into this :D
-
Has anyone seen Anomolisa? It's one very odd animated film that fascinates and alienates me at the same time.
-
When?
I am glad you asked. I went to the calendar to see when Keith booked our hotel, Dec 23rd through the 27th, and found he booked the wrong hotel. He had said we are staying at the Marriott Riverfront but booked the Rivercenter.
-
This was a complete surprise to me until I found out he had booked a hotel :)
-

No.
After that description I watched the trailer and see why you have this reaction. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQkHA3fHk_0)
-
I saw this a few months ago at the Olympia Film Society with a friend of mine. I thought that I had posted about it, but nothing comes up in a search. I even searched the correct spelling of "Anomalisa."
;)
-
And on that note (A-natural), I have to go to rehearsal.
Until later.

I also did a search with both spellings.
-
Back from a two-and-a-half mile jog.
-
Well, Jane, I hope we can get together then. It would be wonderful to meet you and the DH in person.
-
I do hope so DR John.
-
Do you have an opinions on hotels with great views of the river lights?
-
It was good I discovered Keith's error. The hotels are very close together and the view from the riverwalk Marriott isn't a big deal. The error, which is changeable if we decide to, gave me a dose of reality vs all the photos I see.
-
Any and all down there should have nice views of the lights. Which side of the Marriott are you on? Does it face the mall or the convention center?
The mall would be really nice because it's where the boats turn around.
-
So, which hotel are you booked in? Do you have an address?
-
What kind of food are you interested in when you're not having spinach enchiladas?
-

Are you referring to the Marriott Center vs river. I think we have a city view.
-
The Marriott Rivercenter is at 101 Bowie St
-
What kind of food are you interested in when you're not having spinach enchiladas?
Mexican ;)
-
You'll be very close to the Alamo, which is also decorated with a huge tree that's about two stories high and plenty of lights.
-
Senor Veggie is a vegetarian Tex-Mex place that I think you'll like.
La Fonda on Main has the spinach enchiladas and a series of margaritas, including one of my favorites in town. It also has a gorgeous outdoor patio, if the evenings are warm while you're there (and they really could be).
La Gloria is a chance to visit the Pearl Brewery campus for excellent Mexican food by the water. You can also tour the grounds, see the Hotel Emma, which is a foodie hotel that has a remarkable interior. (http://www.thehotelemma.com/)
Lick, an ice cream parlor with some great choices, is also at the Pearl, as is Green Vegetarian and Bakery Lorraine, which makes the finest macarons in the state. Two places on the property brew their own beers. It's fun for a walkabout, too, if you want to try a course at one place and then move on to another place and another and another.
-
You really don't want to eat along the River Walk, except for maybe a snack. You also don't want to eat at the top of the Tower of the Americas, though it's fun for a drink. The view of the whole city is spectacular.
If it's not too windy, you'll want to go to the bar Paramour, which is a rooftop place with a nice view and some great drinks.
-
Will you have a car?
-
Let's move on.
-
Five!
-
Good night, all.
-
Good evening!
-
Page 5! Hoo and ray
-
Greetings 3 Guests!
-
What is your favorite Tex-Mex dish?
-
Today I took myself out to lunch.
-
I did not have cheesecake.
-
I may have some tomorrow.
-
I originally called and left Betzy a message about joining me for lunch, but she was busy helping her sister move.
-
I still have no idea if she ever read the first part of the book.
-
I guess I won't offer her the second part to read.
-
I only worked about an hour or so on the book today.
-
Most of it was doing some revisions on the first several chapters.
-
I still worry that I have too much dialogue in the book.
-
Maybe I should make it a screenplay?
-
Wow! The temperatures are going to be down in the 30's tonight.
-
You'll be very close to the Alamo, which is also decorated with a huge tree that's about two stories high and plenty of lights.
I look forward to going seeing the tree and the Alamo.
-
Which will make for a sunny day on Tuesday.
-
Will you have a car?
No but there is always Uber.
-
DR John I am going to save all the info for our trip, thank you.
-
I guess I won't offer her the second part to read.
I think that is a good idea.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
I need to switch computers.
-
Computers have been switched.
-
Long rehearsal for George.
-
I start rehearsals a week from tonight.
