Tom, the cheesecake recipe that I have (had? :-\ ) was actually a chocolate turtle cheesecake with caramel and pecans...but without actual turtles, of course.

Nope.  I think this pretty close to the recipe I had, which I got from a magazine many years ago:

Got some musical work to do, which will be good.

I'm hoping that Jason will bring me the remaining Act Two edits so I can get to work on them. My work table still remains a work in progress. Much needs to be cleared up, and the apartment still needs work.  Part of my delay has been the a determination on whether I will need the air conditioner again in the next month.

I recall meeting Juliet Mills.  She was a guest on a radio show that taped from Junior's restaurant, which was one of my publicity accounts.

Nice lady, but she seemed to be a bit agitated.  Her boy friend at the time was, I believe, the actor who starred in in GREASE II.  He showed up at the table midway through the show, and there was definitely tension in the air.

I knew Maxwell Caulfield rather well during my Drama Book Shop days around 1980-1982.  He was very friendly and fun to talk to. We had a good time dishing Liz Taylor's Little Foxes revival when we ran into each other at intermission.  The last time I saw him was in the late 1990s in the play My Night with Reg.

Do you have an opinions on hotels with great views of the river lights?

It was good I discovered Keith's error.  The hotels are very close together and the view from the riverwalk Marriott isn't a big deal.  The error, which is changeable if we decide to, gave me a dose of reality vs all the photos I see.

Any and all down there should have nice views of the lights. Which side of the Marriott are you on? Does it face the mall or the convention center?

The mall would be really nice because it's where the boats turn around.

So, which hotel are you booked in? Do you have an address?

What kind of food are you interested in when you're not having spinach enchiladas?

Are you referring to the Marriott Center vs river.  I think we have a city view.

You'll be very close to the Alamo, which is also decorated with a huge tree that's about two stories high and plenty of lights.

Senor Veggie is a vegetarian Tex-Mex place that I think you'll like.
La Fonda on Main has the spinach enchiladas and a series of margaritas, including one of my favorites in town. It also has a gorgeous outdoor patio, if the evenings are warm while you're there (and they really could be).
La Gloria is a chance to visit the Pearl Brewery campus for excellent Mexican food by the water. You can also tour the grounds, see the Hotel Emma, which is a foodie hotel that has a remarkable interior. (http://www.thehotelemma.com/)
Lick, an ice cream parlor with some great choices, is also at the Pearl, as is Green Vegetarian and Bakery Lorraine, which makes the finest macarons in the state. Two places on the property brew their own beers. It's fun for a walkabout, too, if you want to try a course at one place and then move on to another place and another and another.

You really don't want to eat along the River Walk, except for maybe a snack. You also don't want to eat at the top of the Tower of the Americas, though it's fun for a drink. The view of the whole city is spectacular.

If it's not too windy, you'll want to go to the bar Paramour, which is a rooftop place with a nice view and some great drinks.
