Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both long and short but mostly long, and now it is time for you to post until the long and short cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: OSCULATE!
-
Hello.
-
I am surprised to be the first poster after Bruce.
-
Good morning.
-
My DH bought a turkey a few days ago. There was no room for it in the freezer, so I am going to cook it today.
If only there was a Dear Reader who lived in Phoenix who could come help eat it.
-
Congrats to TCB reaching a significant plateau! I did this on my tablet, so the size is off, but it's worth it...here it is:

And now, to bed.
Good night and have a good day, all!
-
Good morning to all

BK
I memory serves me the final scene cut from The Shining is Barry Nelson visiting Shelly Duvall in the hospital and telling her they could not find the body of Jack Nicholson. He also gives Danny a tennis ball. That what I remember. I saw it opening day in Canada and the scene was still there and when I went back it was gone. I complained and was told as the story goes cut from the film.
-
BK
Did you ever see the TV version of The Shining written and produced by Stephen King?
-
Congrats to TCB!!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept late, and I've spent the last hour answering emails. I remember none of my dreams now.
-
DR TCB, a new car! I hope it turns out to be a wonderful investment. Please post photos.
-
Today, I will do little. I may not even leave the apartment. I will work on this choral commission. I'd like to finish it by Monday, so I can ask Joshie to scan it on Tuesday.
-
Great about your new car, TCB! Did you name him/her?
My car is named Laverne. The pickup truck is named Hank. The camping trailer is Darlene.
-
I sent my Halloween pieces to British conductor John Wilson, who sent me back a photo and question "Is this the house?"
I don't know where he found the photo, but it is my grandmother's haunted house at 711 Tenth Avenue, Middletown, Ohio. I had forgotten that little step from the path to the door to the sidewalk. The Schuberts lived in the larger house to the left, and then Tenth Avenue merged with Main Street, which led to the shopping district.
The building was long and barrow. The door on the porch opened onto a dining room, and a long kitchen was in the back to the left. The living room had the two front windows. My Aunt Dorothy's piano was there. The window above the porch is my grandmother's room. The two windows in front are from the room my uncles, who were still in high school, shared and my Aunt Dorothy's. My parents and I had a room at the side of the house next to the Schubert house.

TOD:
I have never been a big Kibrick or Nicholson fan.
I like CHINATOWN for Nicholson. SPARTACUS, PATHS OF GLORY and THE KILLING for Kubrick.
-
Congrats to DR TCB on his millstone and his new automobile machine.
-
Continued travel vibes for DR GINNY and DH RICHARD.
-
I am excited about a new Sherman Bros project!
-
Good morning, all.
-
JB had an emergency this morning. I mistakenly cut a blood feather. And bleed he did.
-
TOD:
Nicholson - Chinatown, Goin' South, Missouri Breaks, Psych-Out
Kubrick - 2001, Dr Strangelove, Barry Lyndon
-
I have never watched THE SHINING because Shelley Duvall gets on my last nerve.
-
JB had an emergency this morning. I mistakenly cut a blood feather. And bleed he did.
Vibes that all will be OK!
-
Michael Shayne, I said in the notes what the penultimate scene was - it was in the hospital, not with Barry Nelson but with Anne Jackson, who'd had one previous scene at the beginning of the film.
-
I watched about half of The Shining TV remake and finally had to shut it off - a horrible thing with no style, and I really didn't like the leading man, the guy from Wings.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
Vibes for JB.

Sorry to hear about your neighborhood noise, BK
-
I had a fall at work on Wednesday , I stood up to get something and didn't realize that my chair had rolled back
-
Apparently the laws of gravity were well in effect and the air molecules were not prepared to support my full weight when I sat down....on nothing
-
I am covered in black and blues and my back and neck got a good whack
-
I did see the chiropractor on Wednesday night and last night and he gave me some relief but I am still quite sore and achy
-
I have been really tired lately and having trouble staying away and focused
-
Happy Saturday to all! Looks to be a lovely day!
-
I was back to the dr today to discuss the results

-
And I have had a flu shot

The turkey is in the oven. Just in case anyone wants to know.

Yikes, DR Vixmom! Take care...

Congratulations to DR TCB on his milestone AND the new car!

DR Elmore, the photo of your grandmother's house and your description make it sound like a duplicate of the house that DN Lauren, her husband Jim, and baby J live in on Hughes Street across from Smith Park. It's owned by Lauren's mother, Jayne, who inherited it from a relative.
-

I need to pamper him a little, but there's very little time.
I hope you mean that you are busy and have little time to pamper him, vs he has little time left after bleeding.

I did, too, but I don't know. I'll ask next time I see Lauren.

I just went down to pick up my mail and ran into the neighbor below me. She moved into the apartment shortly after the suicide of the previous tenant, a young man in his late 20s or early thirties who hanged himself. His girlfriend discovered his body when she became alarmed at not hearing from him for several days.
Since his suicide, I've seen him several times around the building, and tonight my neighbor told me she's seen him and that she also has a couple of ghosts who occasionally talk.
-
Good evening, all.
My last one from Greater Cincinnati for a while.
-
Lots to respond to here!
-
Good grief, vixmom!
Now take it easy and heal those bruises!
-
What a great story and picture, DR Elmore.
I, too, wonder how he found the photo of the house. Doesn't look like a Google type of thing.
-
I am always amazed at you folks who are sensitive to the presence of ... various and sundry ... um, presences! :)
-
I could probably sleep right through a night of noisy visitations.
And for all I know, I have.
-
Congratulations to TCB on a millstone and a car!
-
Sorry I can't help with that turkey, DR Laura. Seriously.
-
I plan to get to sleep early, get up early, and get my arse on the road first thing in the morning. I'm driving straight through tomorrow to arrive home by, hopefully, mid-evening.
-
Welcome home vibes for DR Ginny and DH Richard!
I shall be waving from way over on I-71 in the early morn'.

Today, for some reason, was a terrible allergy day for me. My friend Mr. Benadryl got me through it. It would have been unendurable without it. Just popped another, to ensure a solid sleep.

Welcome home vibes for DR Ginny and DH Richard!
I shall be waving from way over on I-71 in the early morn'.

Had a productive session with Sami - gave her a few notes, but she's basically got a handle on Donna. Then we went to Hugo's for food. I had a Caesar and mac-and-cheese and Sami had carbonara - she didn't love it - it looked good, so I had a taste and those dopes put WINE in it, which absolutely ruins what the dish is all about. It's such a classic and simple and easy thing - she ended up eating over a third of the mac-and-cheese, so she loved that because that they do very well.
-
Good evening.
-
John G, congrats on quietly passing 32,000.
-
Congratulations to TCB on a millstone and a car!
Congrats to you, a millstone and a car
A millstone and a car, and we hope it gets you far
We hope it's gets you far, 'cause we know it isn't cheap

That diidn't make sense, but it was a post.

5IVE!!

And on that note (F-natural), I must be going. I've been at home not really doing anything that I expected to do (watching TV shows that are recorded on my DVR), but I did get a couple of loads of laundry done, so that's something. Tonight, I'm going to Olympia Little Theatre's production of An Act of the Imagination (http://www.olympialittletheater.org).
-
I was actually asked to work the last two weekends because one of their tech guys had to leave due to another show that he was in (I don't know the details), but it overlapoed with "An Improable Peck of Plays 5," so I couldn't. Also, a couple of friends are in this show, so I'm going.
Be back later.

My DH bought a turkey a few days ago. There was no room for it in the freezer, so I am going to cook it today.
If only there was a Dear Reader who lived in Phoenix who could come help eat it.
There probably isn't one. Too bad.
-
We ate at the restaurant in the strip mall. Keith did not like his halibut but the rest of the food was good. I had a mushr9tart appetizer hat was excellent. The service was very good. We enjoyed the evening.

Nice poem DR FJL.

The veil between the spirit world and the physical world is thinnest at the end of October and the end of April....
So DR ELMORE we should expect such sightings and phenomenon at this particular time of year.

I took two drives today.

I hope I didn't miss any thank you for either the milestone or the car.

I spent most of the day waiting around for my sister to call and tell me where I was supposed to meet them for lunch.
-
I assume she forgot that she asked me to join them and Elijah (the great nephew).
-
I wasn't that hungry anyway.
-
One more post.

Thanks. I hadn't noticed.

I assume she forgot that she asked me to join them and Elijah (the great nephew).
I am guessing you didn't remind her.

Went out dancing tonight. It really was a lot of fun.
-
I did not bother with a costume. Sometimes, just little ol' me is scary enough.
-
I took two drives today.
Did you enjoy them?
-
With that, I bid all a good night.
-
DR TCB did you find it easier to use your scooter?

I forgot to send healing vibes for JB
-
Tonight Vixdad and I went to a Halloween party
-
We played in a murder mystery that was great fun
-
There was a buffet
-
Then we played three games of werewolf, in which I ended up being a wolf twice
-
Th Wolves won rounds 1 and 2 but we were found out by game 3
-
Vixdad and I wore our Hogwarts robes ( he has one from Sylerin house and I have one from Griffendor)
-
I'm back from the play. It wasn't too bad of a show. The lead actor (who was in Laughing Stock with me last year) always seemed like he was still struggling a bit with his lines, even though they close tomorrow. Otherwise, it was an average community theater production...not bad, but not special. ::)
-
Vixdad and I wore our Hogwarts robes ( he has one from Sylerin house and I have one from Griffendor)
Sounds like fun! I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (https://www.amazon.com/dp/1338099132/). I hadn't read any of the original books, but I liked this.
-
Congratulations to John g on his new millstone
-
Here we are - the three stooges!
-
Whoops, we are now down to two.
-
George, what did you think of the play itself? I have never heard of it before.
-
Greetings! We have 1 Guest.
