It's always nice to see kids opening presents. I think he really liked the Spider Man bike helmet I gave him.

When they return we'll open our stockings and have duck l'orange for dinner. Paramedic Rob goes into work at 4 and Richard and I will visit Mom.

I also spoke to Joshie, who's having a nice family time in Vermont, and I've wept over a card from the widow of my late friend Alan Freeman, who died far too young two years ago. I still miss him enormously.

Then I had a about an ounce of pasta with sauce (all that was left from what they'd eaten), and of course some tuna pasta salad. Will try to stay away from all the sweets.

It was nice in San Antonio though a bit humid.
