Well, you're read the notes, the notes were, and now it is time for you to post until the Christmas Day that was cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: JOLLIFICATION!
-
First post after BK!
-
Happy Day After Christmas, everyone!
-
Happy Boxing Day!
-
Tonight we are meeting with my brothers and their families at my Mom's
-
I wonder if my chiropractor will be open today...my back feels like a crumpled up piece of paper . I need to be straightened out
-
Well I shall be paying a visit to the New City of York on February 26th. Vixdad bought me a ticket to see Book of Mormon
-
Good morning with my first post as I march towards 15,000.
-
Good morning.
-
TOD:
I like a good action thriller. The first two DIE HARD moves come immediately to mind.
-
BK,
You watched COMPULSION on Christmas Day?
Okay....
::)
;D
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very well, woke at 7, had a panic-anziety attack and went back to bed for another hour and a half. God knows its source, but it's over.
-
DR Jane, yes! I called Randy later in the dy and he picked up. He said he must have been out in the garage when I called earlier/ We had a nice talk, selling the the property being am unexpected part of it, and all seems good.
-
Today, I will finish up "Love for Sale" and hopefully proofread "Say It With Gin." When those are finished, I can jump back to Guys & Dolls.
-

No. Not yet.

Happy Boxing Day!
I am hoping that I will feel okay to go Boxing Day shopping for at least 1-2 hours. I have not been to the mall in a while. The only problem is the stores only open at 1pm. But you have to be there much earlier to get parking.
-
Finally, the Alamo today. I still recall the sadness and shock I felt as a child when I learned that Crockett and Bowie died there. ;D
-
Fingers crossed we find t-shirts to wear in this heat wave :)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Enjoy the Alamo, Jane. I have yet to tour it.
-
TOD:
A few that come to mind:
Wages of Fear
Seven Samurai
Road Warrior
Marathon Man
-
BK, did you see this? The staff of Joe allen's posted their holiday photo.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Time for cleaning some things up, then some music listening and movie watching.

Something yesterday evening reminded me of the first film, which I truly believe I have only seen twice -- at the theater when it came out (summer of 1988? - and I have no idea where I saw it), and on laserdisc or cable or whatever a year or two later. I never even saw the second film. But thinking about that last night made me want to see these.
-
Never saw BULLET TRAIN.
I do love thrill ride kind of movies, but there are either too many to name or I'm just brain dead on thinking of them this morning.
-
Sixty two degrees here.
-
Like MR BK I have been eating too TOO much.....but that will stop.
-
TOD:
North by Northwest
I'm sure I will think of others as DR's post their lists.
-
Monday morning greetings! We had a very quiet Christmas Day that concluded with a visit with Mom. Not the most upbeat way to spend the holiday, but there it is.
-
I out-slept our entire household, including Paramedic Rob who worked until midnight. We're all taking it easy today, Richard and I watching the Miami Redhawks in the St. Petersburg Bowl - Love & Honor!
-
Like MR BK I have been eating too TOO much.....but that will stop.
Likewise here.
-
Yes this is a nice Take It Easy Day. No mail delivery.
-
Chrlotte and I are trying to find a time this week to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
-
And we are set for Thursday at 3:30!
-
The actor George S. Irving has died. I saw him backstage at Encores! last spring, and he was rather crabby. I felt bad because I'v worked on and off wth him since around 1982.
-
Enjoy the Alamo, Jane. I have yet to tour it.
I did. It is free. It is knowing the history that makes it special.
-
We finally found shirts we like. We went for a long gone walk along the section where the original. US Armory was. There weren't any tourist and it felt like a long narrow park with nice homes along the water.
-
I should have purchased shorts to go with the t-shirt, not complaining though. I am happy it is not cold

Wow. He was 94 years old. I'm sure he had quite the life!
-
Pork tamales smothered in chili. Yum.
-
We watched Florence Foster Jenkins. Great acting, story very well told.
-
Hello, 0 guests. Did you take everyone else away?
-
I'm up, I'm up. Got up literally five minutes before the morning visit/meeting happened after almost eight hours of sleep.
-
Morning meeting lasted about an hour, then I tried to go to Jerry's Deli for food but the parking lot was full and I knew it would be an ordeal because everyone in Studio City, despite the leftovers they must have, all have to go out and eat. I went to Du-Par's, also really crowded where there's never anyone there at lunch. It took about ten minutes but I got a booth and had bacon and eggs.
-
I don't ever recall a year in which the day after Christmas was a bank and mail holiday - EVER. And yet...
-
Today it is.....
-
But who decided that without consulting this board?
-
LOL.....that is a good question!
-
We were not consulted. Let's write an angry letter to the right people.
-
Page two? Really?
-
Yes, I went through the top portion of the hall closet again and pulled out about thirty CDs to transfer into iTunes - most of them just selections not entire CDs. As I'm doing this, listening to the wonderfully tuneful Robert Russell Bennett violin concerto with Louis Kaufman soloing. We issued this on Bay Cities and I became very friendly with Mr. Kaufman - he was a wonderful man. The conductor of this is someone called Bernard Herrmann.
-
Really? Page two?
-
I had a little cherry loaf. No more "real" food today, though.
-
Back from nap time, which is emit pan spelled backwards.
-
Three!
-
Page three? Really?
-
Listening to Norman Dello Joio - one of my favorite American composers.
-
And I'm pulling out CDs that, over the past month, I've seen five or six times and I find the original pressing on Chandos of the Doreen Carwithen CD I just rebought in its reissued form (different cover) - I'm surprised I had it and didn't pull it out. Will now sell the one I got recently.
-
I don't ever recall a year in which the day after Christmas was a bank and mail holiday - EVER. And yet...
No wonder it is sooooo busy here.
-
We were clever to go for an early dinner. We got lucky snagging a table at a nice spot on the river walk. Breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, both at different Mexican restaurants.
-
Names, Jane?
-
Fire going in the fire place. Nice and toasty.
-
Breakfast was at Rio Rio. We had scrambled eggs with red and yelow crispy tortilla strips and melted cheese. I passed on the refried beans and they gave me double the diced potatoes.
-
Dinner was at Casa Rio. I was bad and had what I call chicken taquitos but are actually crispy corn flautas with guacamole and a poblano sauce I have never had before. While not LA Fonda I enjoyed it. The ducks & Cormorant in the river entertained us while we ate.
-

Nice.
-
After dinner we took a long walk past the lock and 0.5 miles before the Pearl. We like getting away from the crowds and enjoyed the scenery. In total we walked 12.5 miles today.
-
Nice walk. You probably walked past the bar I took you to.
-
Listening to all kinds o' stuff - some Charles Ives - I run hot and cold on Ives - I like the second symphony and a few other things, but there's lots that's just noise to me.
-
Now listening to Khachaturian violin rhapsody and then concerto. Very attractive music. Then more Dello Joio.
-
Nice walk. You probably walked past the bar I took you to.
Really 😮 ;D
-
I could have had another wonderful old fashioned
-

I told them it was ok. If the banks and post office were open I would have been at work as well
-
Instead i had a lovelier than lovely Boxing Day.
-
Every time someone else dies we now get the new Facebook cliche: 2016 stop it already. Be over already. Like people won't be dying in 2017, just as people have been dying in every year since time began.
-
My brothers their wives my nieces both my brothers Inlaws and two of niece's boyfriends were at my mom's the third Bruce's girlfriend had to stay home in Virginia as she had to Siri in the morning and we were missing get Vixter and her Charles but none the less a fun time was had

-
One of my coworkers had installed a game on my phone for me when I had mentioned. Was trying to think of something fun we found all play it is called heads up
-
It's kind of like the old password game. You put your phone on your forehead do you cant see your screen but everyone lose Dan. Then they sout out clues while you try to guess the word or phrase on your screen
-
There was a holiday edition which was perfect for a group ranging in age 18 to 84
-
We were all shouting and laughing it was a lot of fun
-
We didn't really keep score just passed the phone around so that everyone had a chance to guess

Goodnight
-
Good night, Vixmom!
-
Now rediscovering the wonderful music of the American composer David Diamond - just grand stuff. I've got days of listening ahead of me. I've been going through all the American composers I have - I don't love them all but I do love some of them a whole bunch.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Almost ten o'clock??? Really? Time flies when you listen to long symphonic works.
-
Funny how things work. I have been putting off for weeks doing some research that has to be done for the new book. And even though I had fun writing a couple of paragraphs for it, I haven't had the buzz about actually beginning it next Sunday - that's happened before and the minute I start I get the buzz right away. But yesterday something came into my head, a title really, a title I came up with about fifteen years ago and that David Wechter and I tried to come up with a film for - we did - pitched - came close - but no cigar. But the title is really good and it's kind of shocking no one's ever used it, at least to the best of my knowledge. And last night I started to think about what kind of story I could tell to go with the title. Tonight I began free associating on a blank Word doc and came up with something I thought could really be fun if I can figure out enough plot machinations and how to kick the story off and what it actually would be. But there's a germ of a really fun idea there and I'm going to spend the next few days making notes and if that has the buzz come the weekend, I'm just gonna go with it.
-
I am watching HAIRSPRAY-LIVE again.
-
Somehow that doesn't sound right!
-
Page 5 isn't too far away.
-
Today was football day.
-
I watched two college bowl games.
-
And then Monday Night Football.
-
Well, most of Monday Night Football.
-
The game was pretty much decided by the end of the third quarter.
-
So HAIRSPRAY sounded better than reruns of bad comedies.
-
Tomorrow I need to get back to "the book."
-
Originally planned on finishing the first draft by the end of January.
-
I still might reach that goal.
-
I am already half way through the book.
-
We will see what happens.
-
I would rather miss the deadline than screw up the end of the story.
-
I have four weeks to go before the first rehearsal of the new SECOND SAMUEL.
-
One more post.
-
Page Five!
-
FINALLY
-
It is only ten thirty.
-
Or thereabouts.
-
They are advertising a new John Lithgow comedy that doesn't start until March.
-
TRIAL AND ERROR I think it is called.
-
TRIAL AND ERROR I think it is called.
I just saw that commercial and liked it. What do you think, Tom?

That sounds exciting, BK!

I am watching HAIRSPRAY-LIVE again.
I've got my TV on that channel, but I'm also watching other shows that are recorded on my DVR.
-
I am already half way through the book.
That's great, Tom!
-
Just finished the relatively new And Then There Were None with Aiden Turner's hair. Quite enjoyable.
-
Good news on the book, BK.
-
My phone battery is getting ready to die.
-
So, good night, all.
-
TRIAL AND ERROR I think it is called.
I just saw that commercial and liked it. What do you think, Tom?
It looks pretty funny.
-
I wonder if I would like the movie version of HAIRSPRAY?
-
Why would NBC pick BYE BYE BIRDIE as next December's musical?
-
Page five? Really?
-
Listening to a composer I don't know at all - Samuel Jones - I don't think I ever played this CD and wonder why I got it, unless it was recommended to me. It's a symphonic piece based on James Agee/Walker Evans' Let Us Now Praise Famous Men - it's tonal and very nice music. I took a long shower and thought of some more ideas, which I've already jotted down.
-
I need to change computers and use the Men's Room.
-
I shall return.
-
I need to change computers and use the Men's Room.
You specified the men's room...you have a separate women's room in your house??
;)
-
Just finished the relatively new And Then There Were None with Aiden Turner's hair. Quite enjoyable.
I have this in my wishlist at Amazon.co.uk. It's interesting...Amazon.com lists the US release (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01A9IV54W/), and it says that it's 177 minutes. Then, they list the region-2 UK release (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01936Q0IM/), but it's 180 minutes. And they also have the region-4 Australian release (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01FR3808I/), and that says it's 214 minutes! I wonder what the differences are.

No, but there are only men living here.
-
Who is Aiden Turner and what is wrong with his hair?
-
We may get a little snow to start out the new year!
-
Tonight, the last e-mail to post on AOL was at 7:30 p.m.
-
And that is on all of my computers.
-
Maybe AOL can no longer afford to run their e-mail 24 hours a day.
-
BK, is your mail functioning?
-
SIX

Who is Aiden Turner and what is wrong with his hair?
Nothing is wrong with his hair. (https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=800&q=Aidan+Turner%27s+hair&oq=Aidan+Turner%27s+hair&gs_l=img.3...6268.13721.0.14726.8.5.0.3.0.0.127.413.4j1.5.0....0...1ac.1j2j4.64.img..0.4.345...0j0i30k1.qSJ0zY-MPVY)

Oh, yes, him. I think we had this discussion before.

Oh, yes, him. I think we had this discussion before.
Yes, he was drooled over before...by some of us.
