Are you serious?
BK, I liked the previews for Hidden Figures, but now I definitely want to see it. Next weekend, I'm going.
Larry, i missed the first five minutes of the show. What was talked about at the beginning of Onstage, before the interview with Lee Wilkof and Boyd Gaines?
The cast of No Pay, Nudity is amazing. Donna Murphy, Nathan Lane, Ellen Foley and a host of theater favorites. I hadn't heard of it. Now I really want to see it.

Me, too. I love Lee. He's from the Dayton OH area.

Always Seymour to me. I know that's sad, especially when he's done so much, including Assassins. But I see that name and I think Suddenly Seymour.
We shoot fireworks out of our Space Needle.
My exciting plans this evening are to pick people up at the airport and the drive 30 minutes south to drop one of the off so they can party and turn around and drive 60 minutes north back home with them. This of course if traffic is normal and there are no crazy out there.
I'm listening to Pierre Monteux's wonderful RCA recording of Petrouchka. He knows the piece really well; he conducted the premiere in 1911.
Happy new year to all. May the new year bring us all joy, love, health, wealth and creative fulfillment
My cherpumple layers are cooling. My soup is in the fridge. I've set the bowls and spoons and such as out for the party tonight.

I second that.
But, given my concerns about many things going on in the world, I will also add:
May you all know courage, and pluck, and resilience, as I think we'll all need it.
I am watching Some Like It Hot which always makes me laugh....always....
"I heard a sad story about a girl from Bryn Mawr....she ratted on her room mate and they found her strangled with her own brassiere."
THIS is the partay, baby. Miss at your own risk.
I finally found the time to make the onion custard pie that I've wanted to try for a few weeks now.
Caramelized onions, eggs, heavy cream, Swiss cheese all baking in pie crust. (I had Swiss, not the Gruyere called for.)
Dear Jane - whatEVER. I'm not sure what kind of energy you need to have fun, make some posts, and be in the spirit, but then again I don't understand many things at many times. Have a Happy New Year.

I can tell you the one vile place I will NOT be this evening - it's called Facebook. I seriously cannot look at those posts - the same people who, at the beginning of 2016 said after two days Best. Year. Ever - and make those pronouncements, who, as the year went on, forgot they'd said it and then made it into, according to them, the worst. year. ever. And now they're doing exactly the same thing and it's not even 2017 yet. I'll be here where the fun is and where people are normal.
I'll have some candied cashews, thanks.
It's been raining here most of the day.
I shall be dancing about this evening since I couldn't jog. I shall be doing a jig, a waltz, the monkey, and the swim for starters.
Dozed off for a while. Not sure if I'll make it to midnight.
I'm having a lovely partay.
Healing vibes for DR GINNY.....
DR Ginny, I'm sure you'll be happy to get that other eye done now!
I learned how to wear contacts in "mono-vision" -- one eye distant, other eye close -- (it was easy) -- and the doctor has told me that that would be one of the options, if I wish, when my time comes to have the surgery.
I think that's all any of us can do - try to make it better. And if we fail, we try again. To not try is a lesson in negativity and giving up. I suppose there are times when people do give up because they reach that point - I hope none of us on this here site do, though.
I see vixmom but I don't hear her.
Obviously an uneducated Spellchecker DR JEANNE.
ParTay!
Yes they make me DR JEANNE.
I am going to have a chicken sandwich at midnight....
I had a text from the Vixter earlier she is working tonight at universal
I bet that's fun for her DR VIXMOM
We just watched THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN.
It was okay; a handsome production. But, the original was simpler and much better.

One of my friends had that for her cataract surgery, but it wasn't one of my options.

I tried it with contacts and hated it.

I hope so but she was dreading it .. She figured all the crazies would be out tonight
I was so nearly convinced it was you ... I gave him a huge smile and wished him a happy new year and immediately realized that of course it was not you.... So to escape embarrassment I then gave the same exact greeting to every other person in the aisle
Watching the GOT marathon

Is that another Spell Check typo?
Circe? I don't watch that show....

We'll require pics of your cherpumple - both in its entirety and with a slice cut out of it.
It is a framed photo of the entire cast of the film IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, with Mr. Potter front and center in the shot.

And it is signed by Karolyn Grimes, the original Zuzu from the film.

I'm fading fast.
Good night, everyone.
does anyone still make NY resolutions?
Tonight is the church soup party. We are going to make a cherpumple for dessert.

This may be a ridiculous question, but don't Swiss and gruyere melt differently, so that the recipe may need a different cooking time?
Well, the party was a bust. Only two people other than the Minister and Mrs. Minister showed up.
However, we went to Beaches tonight. I am feeling much better after a Margarita, edame, a small Beach House Salad with mixed greens, candied cashews, jicama, sesame seeds, grilled salmon, asian honey mustard dressing and a side of their fantastic french fries.

What are New York resolutions?
So I still had my 30th midnight kiss from my beloved

DR George I am pleased you liked PASSENGERS, and that it wasn't mindless. I look forward to seeing it.

Enjoying the last of the Ansermet Sibelius - the tone poem Tapiola, and the wonderful fourth symphony.
We shoot fireworks out of our Space Needle.
That would be nice to see, if it wasn't so darn cold.
What are Washington resolutions like?
At the moment, the Time-Warner Cable news is interviewing my old friend Lee Wilkof about his new film No Pay, Nudity, which sounds quite lovely,
I saw that on Amazon (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01LXRAK9R/). It's available on DVD and Blu-ray. I aded it to my wishlist. :)
There is a THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT marathon on TCM that I am watching. It's nice to see some real singers and dancers.....but it's hard to see some of the numbers heavily edited and ripped from their context.
DR George I am pleased you liked PASSENGERS, and that it wasn't mindless. I look forward to seeing it.
I really think you'll enjoy it. At least, I hope you do. :)
Then do your job, TCB, and move us on.
William Christopher ( Father John Mulcahy on MASH) has passed away. He was 84.
"Let's not forget what New Year's is about: heavy drinking and making a fool of yourself"--Gilbert Gottfried on Anderson and Kathy's show.

The Blu-ray is cheaper than the DVD?
Then do your job, TCB, and move us on.
My job is pages three through six.
I received an irritating email last night as well.
Someone who worked on one show last year.....ONE SHOW ONLY.....and hasn't done anything else here.....decided that all of the theatre groups in the area need to get together and plan their season with each other.....and he went on and on.....
I tried something like this years ago.....trying to get some of the nearby theatres to do shows together, etc.....and was immediately and harshly rebuffed.....
So I emailed him back and told him I didn't think it would work, and that it wasn't necessary.
Of course he is a member of a SMALL theatre group in a town about 40 miles away that has NOTHING in the way of costumes or technical equipment......and he has already let us know that we should LOAN our stuff to them.
NO NO NO.....they took some of our set pieces....hopefully they did return them. It has been my experience that they are quick to come and get things.....but if you want them back, you have to go get them yourself....if they can find them....
So he hasn't emailed me back. I would guess he now considers me part of the problem.
Where are DRs George and TCB? Is it too early for them?
DRChas, your doppelgänger was shopping at my local market today
I was so nearly convinced it was you ... I gave him a huge smile and wished him a happy new year and immediately realized that of course it was not you.... So to escape embarrassment I then gave the same exact greeting to every other person in the aisle
did they return the sentiment?
It worked ... And I started a trend the grumpy people in the over crowded market starting smiling and wishing each other a happy new year
That is not a threat, but a promise.
I am enjoying LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER.
I am enjoying LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER.
I'm recording Michael Feinstein's concert, but I didn't realize that it's a repeat from the 2014 New Year's Eve. Oh, well. It's Michael Feinstein. I won't mind watching it again.
The weatherman just said we would have snow through Sunday. Isn't that about 45 minutes from now?

Fly to LA tomorrow and have some.
You should have driven down here!
George, get ready to raise your Diet Pepsi.
George, get ready to raise your Diet Pepsi.
Actually, I finished the diet Pepsi and now have a Peach Citrus Fresca. :)

But that musical thing that happened at midnight could not have been more perfect.
