Thank you for all the vibes and good wishes for my friend, Bob.
Vibes for George's aunt and anyone else living with a condition like Parkinson's.
TOD:
Yesterday was my wife's birthday, so we went out to dinner, then came home and watched THE MEDDLER with Susan Sarandon on cable TV.

Yesterday I watched Alfred Hitchcock movies on TCM all day and napped now and then it was very nice!
I am not having a very good day today, healthwise....but I am hoping there is improvement.

Not much to report, except that this cold has been officially declared to be the slowest moving cold in the world. Each day is a little better, but at this rate I'll be taking all week to come out of this thing.
Ah, there's no mail today.
It was a DVD of Val Kilmer as a singing Moses.

Monday afternoon greetings! Richard and I watched the Rose Parade and did errands as soon as it was over. Bought scotch and cookies and visited Mom. I gave the scotch to her nurse and the cookies to Mom. We then did our own grocery shopping and now I'm settled in for the Rose Bowl.
TOD - we had a nice New Year's Day visit from DN/goddaughter Lauren, her husband Jim, and their son J. He liked the board books we gave him for Christmas and, with some coaching, said "Thank You." Before and after their visit we watched pro football and I continued the eye drop routine. As of today, I'm doing the post-op dosage in my right eye and the pre-op in my left. Fortunately, they gave me a checklist that makes the process as idiot-proof as possible.
Starting season two of A Place to Call Home. I agree, Elmore, the jump into the future is not something I like.
I've had the Thing that's going around off and on all week. No head cold symptoms--I rarely get head colds--but when it hits me it saps my strength. I don't feel sick today, but I haven't wanted to push it, either. I had a surprisingly productive day of laundry and bill-paying, and even started one of my tax tallies. I said productive, not exciting, right?
I empathize with DR Chas--this thing doesn't want to go away. Mine hasn't been bad, just stubborn.

I am still coughing but as long as the bronchitis doesn't return I am tolerant with it.

You are lucky not to have to wait too long between surgeries. May the next one go smoothly.
DR Ginny, I remember the eyedrop routine well. It gets very complicated, especially since not everyone is using the same eyedrops. Some of them really sting, too. Ugh! Your next surgery is the end of this week?
Here is my question to those with cold and flu - did you buy Sambucol?

The show had been canceled and my guess is they were surprised by the renewal and wrote that episode very quickly.

It was cancelled after Season 2, which is why Season three has both the official ending of Season 2 and the cliffhanger ending made before the season was cancelled.

She's not allowed to keep it in her room. And the doctor had to prescribe it.

Who is Jorge ?
I haven't been in the habit of writing lately, but I did manage to finish a piece on watching people make raki.

DR George - health vibes to your aunt.
Oh dear I have to go tO work tomorrow and I squandered my three day weekend in sheer laziness
I did do several loads of laundry however
My last job we had a three day weekend nearly every month
Today was college football bowl game day.
Back from a nice dinner with a friend - had a bacon and cheese omelet and an English muffin - first food o' the day, and then said friend insisted I have my first visit to a Dollar Tree - it was pretty interesting. I bought some sweets that probably would have cost me fifteen bucks at Gelson's - here it was five dollars.

Now that's a good doctor.
I never even so much as opened the front door today
