Well, you've read the notes, the notes were unwieldy, and now it is time for you to post until the unwieldy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FELICITOUS!
-
First post after BK!
-
good morning to all
-
Good morning, all!
-
I was expecting to find more snow this morning. There's some, but not the blizzard I was thinking we'd have.
-
This is a physical therapy day, followed by a City Center visit. I hope that when I get to therapy I find that I left there on Tuesday the shorts I wear for therapy. Otherwise, it means they fell out of my bag on my way to City Center.
-
This morning, I received an invitation to attend the matinee of Come From Away, which I really want to see, on March 18. I had to turn it down since it's the day after our sitzprobe for The New Yorkers, and I expect I'll be up to my ears in final adjustments.

I am sorry TCB I missed that yesterday was your eye zap day... I thought it was today fir some reason

Writing vibes for TCB and bk
-
It is still snowing but very lightly.
-
When I woke to attend to. Hurumph. Business last night I glanced out the window and it was snowing but instead of the 3-4 inches threatened we only have a lightcovering on the ground
-
Good morning, all.
-
Light covering here, too, looks like half an inch.
-
It's time for me to have the kind of conversation with Comcast that BK had with DirecTV.
-
Time to rattle some cages.
-
Glad to hear TCB made it through the laser blasts okay. I've known too many characters in movies who didn't fare so well.
-
While spending much time in bed or otherwise resting during my cold this past week, I took someone's suggestion to search YouTube for videos of people taking flying lessons, flying Cessnas and Pipers in and out of the L.A. airports I learned at, and whatnot. In so doing, I renewed acquaintance with tons of stuff I'd forgotten, and almost began to feel like I was back into it myself. What great fun, seeing the goings on at Van Nuys and the other local airports, and getting cockpit-view videos of landings on top of Catalina Island which I can tell you from experience is quite the hair-raising thrill. YouTube is such an incredible resource for so many things. Being able to make contact with part of one's past life in this way is: priceless.

Good morning, all.
-
I'm not feeling too felicitous this morning because of the cedar pollen and my meds aren't working yet.

I guess having a cold can be a good thing ;) I thought only sea planes landed at Catalina, but then I was very young the last time I was there.

Our pollen count has been high. I had hoped when we returned home from Texas my allergies would be better.
-
Good morning.
-
DR elmore did you find your PT shorts?
-
DR Laura how is your level of pain today?
-
I got an update after my surgery yesterday that Kerry is showing some improvement.
-
How are those recovering from eye surgery?
-
My mouth is sore when the ibuprofen wears off, but nothing bad.
-
I got an update after my surgery yesterday that Kerry is showing some improvement.
Good!
That was to be my next question.
-
So I think I may take a different route to the hospital today: the light rail. A bit better clientele, plus it doesn't make so many stupid stops.
-
Also, it is No Pants Day on the light rail.
-
In honor of No Pants Day, I think I will revive an old quote by Mae-Ling Goldstein.
-
DR Laura I am glad the pain is tolerable but should you be going to the hospital? Until you heal a bit more is the risk of infection higher? Wear a surgical mask.
-
LOL Mae-Ling.
-
Again it is SIX DEGREES here......a high of TEN DEGREES is predicted....and a low tonight of MINUS SEVEN DEGREES.....I guess winter is here.
-
Laura left while I was typing.
-
DR CHAS SMITH I would have to take some Dramamine before I watched those airplane videos.....
Continued writing vibes for MR BK and health vibes for all who need them.....
-
Maybe it should be No Pants Day here at HHW.

Oh, I'm sure plenty of sea planes go in and out of there. I'm talking about the "airport in the sky" for regular old land planes.
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/7wNuUngbR8o/maxresdefault.jpg
It's a popular destination for private pilots, for practice landings and to visit the island. The bus/taxi ride takes a half-hour or more getting down the winding mountain road to Avalon from there. That ride can call for more Dramamine than the flight.
-
They've been doing No Pants Day on the NYC subway for years, but I've never had the pleasure of being in town on the right day.
-
DR Laura should be bringing back some good material for "What I saw today..."
-
DR CHAS SMITH I would have to take some Dramamine before I watched those airplane videos.....
Me too.

TOD:
I have a few things recorded: CHICAGO MED, STAR, BLUEPRINT FOR MURDER (movie)...
Will watch the GOLDEN GLOBES on Sunday.
-
In the meantime, I'm writing the latest play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection.
-
In case you missed my radio interview last night:

-
Friday morning greetings! We have been to Mason for my post-op appointment and to Target for my first pair of over-the-counter reading glasses.
-
How are those recovering from eye surgery?
I'm doing fine, DR Jane, but plan to take it pretty easy through the weekend.
-
I got an update after my surgery yesterday that Kerry is showing some improvement.
Good news - please give him my best!
-
Thanks for the link DR DRUXY....I plan to listen later today.
-
It's up to a toasty TEN DEGREES right now.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep.
-
Was up at ten, of course, and dealing with a date change for the Kritzerland February show - which I heard about just before midnight last night. Seems there was some unfortunate miscommunication and our host let the Sunday go - I never told him to do so but he assumed because I'd INQUIRED about other dates as options that's what I meant, which, of course, it wasn't. And I never heard back about other dates other than the previous Sunday and Monday weren't available nor was the Monday night the 6th. So, we're on Tuesday the 7th and thankfully everyone can make that change and for some it's even better because they must have their precious Stupid Bowl Sunday.
-
DR Elmore, is this Peggy (http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/hamilton/obituary.aspx?n=mary-k-short&pid=183403211)?
-
Since our snow this morning -- which I "leaf-blew" off the driveway, thankyouverymuch -- it's been a bright sunny day, and there's a nice difference between this kind of sunny and the summer kind.
-
In other news, I earlier ate halves of two nice bagels -- a sesame seed and an everything -- with scallion cream cheese. And I'm now thinking about those other halves.
-
Druxy, I tried hearing your show whilst eating the aforementioned bagels, and it doesn't play for me. It just sits at 00:00.
-

ChasSmith, could it be your browser? I am now listening to it without any trouble.
-
I'm using Internet Explorer at my work. I also tried it on Chrome that I have at work, and that works, too.

Yes, it certainly was, and it's not the first time I've had things not play in Firefox. Works in Chrome, thanks, DR George.
-
Healing vibes for Ginny
Thank you, DR Vixmom!
-
DR TCB has been asking about colors. Yes, I think they're more vibrant now. And it's much easier to tell my black turtlenecks from the navy blue ones.

Allergies at an obnoxious level today. I sneezed, honked and dripped throughout a four-hour meeting earlier.
-

Sure is! Thank you.
-
I have been home for about 40 minutes. My shorts were at therapy and they are back in my possession. We accomplished much at City Center, so I'm happy with the day.
-
Shocking news from Ft. Lauderdale. Most depressing.

Good and Good :)

Hello. Happy Friday.
I feel terrible, but I'm at work.
I might feel awful, but I only feel terrible.
We are to have major rains this weekend.
I guess I won't be sun bathing.
-
Fortunes are won and lost on Stupid Bowl Sunday.
For most everyone who gambles on it, it's hit or miss, win or lose.
That's life.

No Pants Day Report: Everyone on the light rail was panted.
-
DR Kerry Report: He is responding to the antibiotics. Thank you for the vibes and prayers. I have no doubt they helped.

Thank you for the Kerry Report DR LAURA.
Yes, DR ELMORE....I agree....horrible goings on....

DR Kerry Report: He is responding to the antibiotics. Thank you for the vibes and prayers. I have no doubt they helped.
That's Very good Kerry news! :D
-
Well, I'm off. First, I'm going to my parents' for our weekly family meal, then I'll be going to TAO's full run-through rehearsal for our extra performance of "The Physician in Spite of Himself," then I'll come home.
Be back later.
-
Back from a fun lunch meeting with Doug Haverty about a project we'll be working on. Then picked up a couple of packages.
-
But came home to the news that now the 7th is out for the Kritzerland show - some studio came in and waved their big checkbook at The Federal and they gave the date away. So, now we're being offered Thursday the 2nd or Thursday the 9th and I now have to try and make one of those work - hopefully the second, which I'd prefer - if we do the ninth, then I'm only three weeks away from the next show. So, instead of writing, which is what I should be doing, I'm dealing with this stupidity. I have, however, written about four pages, so seven or so to go, and I'm in a section that shouldn't be too hard. The four I've done were all add-ons to yesterday's stuff - I realized when I went to bed last night that I needed much more fun and detail in the last four pages I'd written, and that's what the four pages I've done so far were. It really helped and it really WAS fun. I'll now try to write another two or three so that I only have to do five later tonight.
-
Terrible news from Ft. Lauderdale. My friend Robin was on her way back from LA. Her plane was to stop in Dallas before continuing to Ft. Lauderdale. Needless to say, she's stuck in Dallas, but she's more concerned about the families who lost loved ones.
-
Glad to hear DR Kerry is doing better.
-
More vibes for TCB, Ginny, Jeanne and Laura!
-
Page 4!

Vibes for anyone else I may have left out!

Six pages so far and time for a tiny break.

Maybe it should be No Pants Day here at HHW.
Wait, it's not? How embarrassing

I don't think that having the show on Super Bowl Sunday would have been good. But how ridiculous that he would give away your day without simply asking you first. It would have taken 5 minutes to contact you and confirm that you didn't want the Sunday.
-
DR Kerry Report: He is responding to the antibiotics. Thank you for the vibes and prayers. I have no doubt they helped.
Excellent. I mailed his card today.
-
DR Ron I am relieved you posted today. I have been very worried about you.
-

And I bet she is glad she was in Ft. Lauderdale at the time of the shooting. So, so sad.

Yup.

Bruce do you check a calendar to make sure you aren't booking on dates with major events happening?
-
I was in the mood for the best artichoke spinach dip and a good rye Manhattan with a proper bourbon cherry. We went to the restaurant near us that has both of these, along with delicious sweet potato fries. My Manhattan was not as good as usual but everything else was.
-
Some days you realize just how lucky you are, you know?
True, that.
-
Actress Francine York has died.
She was never a publicity client, but our paths crossed many times.
R.I.P.
-
We've done Super Bowl Sunday before - it's been fine because I do this all young people show and we fill it no matter what. We've set a new date, the Thursday prior. That would normally be hard to fill but all the parents and family will fill it quickly.
-
Nine pages and I need a nice, hour break now and a shower. First I'll put my car away.
-
DR Kerry Report: He is responding to the antibiotics. Thank you for the vibes and prayers. I have no doubt they helped.
best news of the day
-
I ushered for the symphony tonight. They're starting their festival. This year the theme is Mozart, and they programmed the 40th Symphony, which I really enjoy.
The first half partnered Mozart's short Ave Verum Corpus with Faure's Requiem.
Lovely performances.
-
We watched the first two episodes of GOLIATH. Has anyone watched the show?
-
Last year, the Symphony kicked out the ushers because too many of them were making noise during the performance, and the acoustics are so good you can hear a pin drop in the place.
Tonight, I had to report on an usher for bringing in a bottle of water (forbidden), who proceeded to crinkle it for far too long.
The same usher later got into a fight with her husband in the theater and another usher reported them.
Trouble is, they know me from ushering and I know they are friends with the CEO of my company. I hope it never gets back to them that I ratted her out.
-
Nine pages.
That's good news, too.
-
It's now below freezing here and the temperature is only going down from here. Wind is really cold, too.
-
Five!
-
George, I found a couple of Manhattan Transfer CDs I didn't know: Tonin' and The Spirit of St. Louis.
Should be fun.
-
Bumblescratch came in the mail today.
-
A lot to listen to this weekend.
-
Listening to some great Miklos Rozsa. A few years ago a friend did a private little three CD box set for the three Rozsa conducted Polydor CDs - these have never been issued. They sound absolutely amazing and I haven't heard these since I got them. Spectacular really.
-
I will, of course, try to do two more pages after I shower. Maybe I'll even let Rozsa play while I do them. I don't normally ever listen to music when I write, but I will admit that twice I wrote a page for this book whilst music played because I wanted to add something and I happened to be listening to something at the time - it was fine.

Oh, oh. Good vibes they do not find out about it.
When we were in San Antonio I had one of those noisy water bottles next to my bed. I didn'the realize how loud it crinkled until I needed water during the night ;D

I am very glad we caught a warm spell.
-
Good evening!
-
Finished with my writing - a little over eleven pages. And about to introduce a new, key character.
-
Great news about DR Kerry! Continued health vibes.
-
Thank you all for the eye procedure vibes.
-
The eye is feeling more comfortable today.
-
Health vibes to all who need them.
-
Show date vibes for BK!
-
The date is settled - February 2. I haven't heard from one mom who this entire time is the only one who is not communicating well - so, if she hasn't responded by morning I'll use another kid - everyone else is okay with the new date.
-
Tomorrow is the Seahawks wildcard playoff game.
-
Hello, 4 Guests!
-
The eye is feeling more comfortable today.
I am pleased to hear this.
-
Who is your favorite cartoon character?
-
Tonight the low temperature is going to be in the twenties, instead of the teens.
-
That is a big improvement.
-
And tomorrow it is actually going to be warm enough to rain.
-
I should go see if I can still get a Safeway delivery time for tomorrow.
-
I will return.
-
Oh, heck, I will just drive to the store tomorrow.
-
I need to drop off laundry anyway.
-
And I need to write another chapter of
Bruce's my book.
-
Why are we still on this page?
-
Enough!

Yikes! We're allowed to have a bottle of water. One time I had to turn in another usher for being on her cell phone the entire time instead of seating people. We didn't (and still don't) really know each other, so there wasn't any chance of her finding out that it was me.
-
George, I found a couple of Manhattan Transfer CDs I didn't know: Tonin' and The Spirit of St. Louis.
Should be fun.
I like both of those. Tonin' isn't one of my top favorites, but it's certainly enjoyable.
-
Well, our "Physician" run-through went quite well. We had some fun and it should be a good performance tomorrow. We do have some tickets sold, so it won't be an empty house...which is always a good thing.
;)
-
Bumblescratch came in the mail today.
Great! I hope you enjoy it. I've only had time to listen to the first act, but will finish it next week (I left it at my work).
-
Hi, Tom!
-
It's 18°F here in Tumwater. How's Tacoma?
-
Hello, George.
-
I think they said it was 25 degrees.
-

There have been a couple of time where I had to ask other ushers (both men) to stop jingling the coins in their pockets. I even had to "suggest" to one that he just keep his hands out of his pockets because he couldn't stop jingling the darned coins.
-
I think they said it was 25 degrees.
Ooo...practically a heat wave!
:))
-
We're having a heat wave....
-
Tomorrow is the Seahawks wildcard playoff game.
One of our actors (the lead, actually) is a DIE-HARD Seahawks fan and will practically kill anyone who reveals the scores during our show.
-
The eye is feeling more comfortable today.
Great news, Tom!
