Well, you've read the notes, the notes were all Saturday the 14th, and now it is time for you to post until the Saturday the 14th cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: NEOLOGISM!
-
To answer George's question of late last night re the sheet music to The Whimsey Works being for sale - I know he just printed up a number of copies for his own use - I may ask him at some point if he'd let us sell a few.

It would be great! And speaking of sheet music, are you still working on a BK songbook?
-
First post after my first post!
:))

Topic of the Day: I'd never heard of broasted chicked before it was mentioned here on HHW. I've never had it, so I can't comment on the topic of the day.
-
Great Hell Kitty story last night from TCB. I am glad to hear that TCB won the battle
-
I have many times had roasted chicken...how is broasted chicken differnt that roasted or rottiesierrie chicken?
-
http://m.wikihow.com/Broast-Chicken
Apparently I have never had broasted chicken
-
But the best fried chicken I have ever had was made by FJL's everlovin' Skip
-
Here's another question
-
What the heck am I doing up at this ungodly hour when I should be sleeping?
-
Well I am sitting in the dentist chair waiting for my teeth to arrive
-
TOD:
I used to love fried chicken, but now I only eat broasted. It's healthier and, at my age, I can use all the "healthier" I can get.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I for one would be delighted if Joe Dante made a movie of HELL KITTY.
-
A fitful sleep last night, populated by HELL DREAM.
-
Not the worst kind of hell dream, actually, but it sure was a doozy.
-
Last night was my first night of sleep in four months without the aid of Aleve PM. Lotta strange dreams, though all I remember is something about that lousy revival of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well. A Drama Book Shop friend I haven't seen in over twenty years wasalso in the dream.
-
Today, I need a rip to market and a store for envelopes. I also need to vacuum, scrub the stove.

Which revival, DR Elmore? Or has there been only one? I saw it in -- I think it was late 1992, in the Village.

Hoping for great success, vixmom!
-
Good morning, all.
-
A perfectly roasted chicken is as perfect as a meal can get.
Don't know broasted.
-
Having looked at Vixmom's link, I'll stick to roasted, then fried.
-
For chain food, I like Popeyes, which has a ridiculously cheap special on Tuesdays. It used to be two pieces of dark meat and a biscuit for 99 cents. I think is now $1.19.

The dreadful 2006 revival, which missed much of the point of the original show.

The new neighbor above me, who caused the bathroom flood rwo weeks ago, has a penchant for hammering at 8:30 in the morning. This is completely unacceptable on a Saturday morning.
-
I bit into a bagel for the first time in 14 months
-
I am "test driving" my new teeth. If all goes well they will be permanently affixed Monday night
-
Page two... Tooth dance
-

Best keep it under 55 until then.
-
Breakfast went well
-
I am sorry your neighbor is so inconsiderate , Elmore
-
There seems to be an epidemic of inconsiderate neighbors on HHW.
-
Make it stop!
-
And how was the bagel, Vixmom?
-
I just bought that Brel cast recording for $5. I listened to it once.
I'll happily go back to the original.
-
Off to a full day of too much to do.
I want to stay home and read more of my book.
-
I just bought that Brel cast recording for $5. I listened to it once.
I'll happily go back to the original.
It was dreadful.
-
Thank you for the heads up on that one.
-
I'm listening to Juan Diego Florez' new album of Italian songs. It is really wonderful.
-
After this, I shall listen to Jonas Kaufmann's new Italian song album.
-
Snow flurries or light snow showers possible betwixt and between five and eight this evening.
-
My two faves are Pavarotti's albums, arranged by the great Henry Mancini.
-
Last night was my first night of sleep in four months without the aid of Aleve PM.
Vibes you continue to sleep at night without it!
-
I bit into a bagel for the first time in 14 months
:) :) :)❤❤❤
-
Good morning.

There seems to be an epidemic of inconsiderate neighbors on HHW.
I'm sorry I will try and be quieter
-
There seems to be an epidemic of inconsiderate neighbors on HHW.
I have wonderful neighbors. At the moment.
The rental house across the street can have quiet or noisy people. They never stay more than the one-year lease. Currently there are quiet people there.
-
Hurray for new teeth, Vixmom!!!
-
And how was the bagel, Vixmom?
Lovely! A toasted onion bagel with a schmear of cream cheese,with a side of sausage and some HP sauce for dipping. And of course a hot pot of tea. Who needs Asian fusion? We have NewYork/Brit fusion in this here household
-
A quick google about my dental procedure tells me my mouth will be sore another week.
-
But hearing about the problems of others, my complaint is mild.
-
Snow flurries or light snow showers possible betwixt and between five and eight this evening.
In my quest to be a better neighbor I bequeath all my snow to you in the north, I will forego the pleasure of the beauty of the snow to allow you all the more
-
Ain't I generous?
-
Hurray for new teeth, Vixmom!!!
Thank you, I am quite excited. I plan to persuade Vixdad that we should visit the Texas Roadhouse tonight
-
A quick google about my dental procedure tells me my mouth will be sore another week.
Dental healing vibes for Laura
-
I'm ok. Just sore and still eating mushy food. As soon as it heals, though, I guess I get to do it again on the other side.
-
A frustrating trip. I obtained everything I needed at the pharmacy and nothing - zilch, nada, nuttin - at the market where the clerks were completely unhelpful.
-
!!! 3 !!!
-
Saturday morning greetings! Gotta post this quick or it will be Saturday afternoon...
-
Rainy here in SW Ohio, but it looks like we'll stay above freezing. I think the ice storm passed us by.
-
Jonas Kaufmann's Italian collection is my least favorite of the four I'm listening to. He's a fantastic artist, but his voice is too dark. it lacks the lightness of Florez or Pavarotti.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep.
-
I'm surprised so few know about broasted chicken. We had an incredible place here in Sherman Oaks called Amber's Broasted Chicken.
-
I will surprise MR BK and say that I don't think I have ever had broasted chicken, although I have heard of it....seen it on a menu or two.....
-
Good news about the sheet music.....good news from DR VIXMOM and DR LAURA....continued mouth vibes to them both.
-
Vibes that Muse Margaret enjoys the futzed and finessed pages.....
-
Cake is very important for strength.
Thanks or all the good vibes, my loves!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Kerry, I'm sorry I missed you.
How are you feeling? (Aside from the cake.)
Mega health vibes to you!
-
Mega dental vibes to Vixmom and Laura.
May you both be able to eat all you want very soon.
-
Add me to the list of those who didn't sleep well last night. I hope this doesn't become a pattern. Last week I didn't sleep well at all the night my friend passed away, although I didn't learn about it until the next day. I don't know why I slept so little last night.
-
Over the holidays I intended to do a Big Cull. I got a good start on it, but was interrupted by the Thing that was going around. Today I've resumed the project. I can't believe how quickly things pile up! I've already thrown a lot out today, but I think I'll be pooping out soon.
-
Have a good day, everyone.
TTFN.
-
This has turned into an absolutely frustraqting afternoon. Nothing I do comes out as expected or hoped for.
-
I futzed and finessed all but one page, then went and had some chicken tenders and then picked up no packages. I shall now futz and finesse the remaining page and then write new pages galore.
-
The children from Wae-Ling's old house were waiting for me when I got home from visiting DR Kerry. There were four of them this time. They are nice kids. Now I realize how nice and calm Wae-Ling always was, even young.
-
I have heard of broasted chicken - somewhere or other in addition to here - but never gave a moment's thought to what it actually was. I'll try it when I come across it at some point.
-
Vixmom: I just looked outside, and there's something here I think belongs to you.
-
(Such a nice lady, I'd hate to keep something of hers that she might need...)
-
A frustrating trip. I obtained everything I needed at the pharmacy and nothing - zilch, nada, nuttin - at the market where the clerks were completely unhelpful.
I have had that happen and it is frustrating.
-
Actor Dick Gautier has died.
-
I'm surprised so few know about broasted chicken. We had an incredible place here in Sherman Oaks called Amber's Broasted Chicken.
After eating Amber's broasted chicken I don't think I ever ate fried chicken again.
-
We discovered Amber's when we lived at 4324 Ventura Canyon which was a 2 minute walk to the corner of Ventura Blvd & Amber's. We remember Amber's as being on the corner. A walk down memory lane on google maps took me to a big ugly blue preschool that I do not recall at all.
-
Cake is very important for strength.
Thanks or all the good vibes, my loves!
Oh my that looks good. Even better is having you back here and knowing you are home recovering.
-
Had a nice nap. Need about five more.
-

:D
How is dear Wae-Ling's sister doing?
-
Redd Foxx, Della Reese, Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy all together in a scene and they've got nothing to do. That's the problem with this movie, Harlem Nights.
-
Four!
-
(Such a nice lady, I'd hate to keep something of hers that she might need...)
;D What is it, snow?
-
Jane, I haven't seen Mae-Ling in quite a while. We took Wae-Ling camping right after Christmas, though.
-
Four pages done - seven to go, or something like that. Taking a short break then will try and do four more.
-
Now I want cake!
-
Saturday night vibes for DR ELMORE.
I have been watching skiing and bobsledding and feeling very lazy.
-
Jane, I haven't seen Mae-Ling in quite a while. We took Wae-Ling camping right after Christmas, though.
You truly bonded with Wae-Ling.
-
It has been snowing here. The sidewalks are slippery. I just slid to and from the corner bodega. I think I will stay in tomorrow.
-
But the best fried chicken I have ever had was made by FJL's everlovin' Skip
That's great! I know he'll love to hear that!
-
Laura - Thanks for your message.
-
Seven pages so far. So, four to go. I'll try to do at least two of those before going to the birthday partay. That way, I'll do two upon my return. Then again, I may feel adventurous and just finish the four and maybe write an extra couple of pages later.

Vixmom: I just looked outside, and there's something here I think belongs to you.
Ah,I see you managed to have it delivered to my door
-
Thank you?
-
Tomorrow is the stupid marathon. I have ten pounds of flour and six packets of yeast to keep me busy all day while I am held hostage.
-
That sounds like an industrious activity.
-
I bit into a bagel for the first time in 14 months
Congrats, Vixmom!
-
I'm home, watching TV and doing laundry. Excitin', ain't it?
;)
-
I am "test driving" my new teeth. If all goes well they will be permanently affixed Monday night
~~~Vibes for a Successful Teeth Test Drive!!~~~
I live in a townhouse-type condo and all the neighbors that I've had over the years on both sides have been relatively quiet. I've asked various neighbors over the years if I'd ever been too noisy and they've all said that I haven't been, so I think our shared walls were soundproofed quite well. :)
-
#111!!!
-
I don't know much about his voice, but he's certainly nice to look at.
;)
After that comment I had to look :)
And....?
:)
That means "not bad" ;)
That means "not bad" ;)
I agree!
Back from a game night with friends from church. We played two games that were new to me. One was a card game version of Trivial Pursuit, the other a domino-based game called Mexican train.
There were five of us, three of whom I didn't know very well. It was a good chance to get to know them.
-
Let's move on.
-
Five!
-
Starting a movie called A Bigger Splash with Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes. Beautiful Mediterranean setting. Nice and easy start, but I feel sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll will soon take over the plot.
We used to play Mexican train with Vixdad's folks in Canada
-
I am so g lad DR Kerry is feeling stronger continued health vibes!
-
Back from the nearby birthday partay - saw some nice folks, had one teeny-tiny piece of pizza and home I came. I shall now try to write the two pages I need to and then maybe a page or two beyond that.
-
I agree!
I think we still have the game in a closet.
We had taken a break from season 4 of A PLACE CALLED HOME and began watching again a few nights ago. We have now finished the season.
-
There's a vintage episode of Saturday Night Live from 1978 on right now that started at 10 pm. The guest host is Carrie Fisher. It's from the 4th season and the opening song was by the original Blues Brothers, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi.
-
The new episode on at 11:35 pm tonight has guest host Felicity Jones, who starred in "Rogue One."
-
Finished with my writing for this evening - almost fourteen pages so I'm ahead for tomorrow. When I get up I'll futz and finesse then try to write three pages right away, then I'll print out all those and Xerox them and bring them to Muse Margaret.
-
I took an unexpected nap this evening so now of course I'm wide awake when I should be sleeping
-
And I have to be up in five hours
-
I hate it when that happens!
-
It happens to me all the time even without having taken a nap.
-
Or, my nap is from 11:00 to 12:00 at night.
