Well, you've read the notes, the notes served cold words, and now it is time for you to post until the cold cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ALACRITY!
-
And a happy haineshisway.com birthday to former dear reader Charles Pogue, who lives on Facebook now. Let's send him good vibes and xylophones - he's in the hospital for a gall bladder problem.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well, and I am ready for my eye appointment. When I leave here, I will stop at the bank, take a bus to 94th Street and transfer to the subway. When I get to 181st Street, Ill walk the four blocks to the office.
Since I know little of Manhattan above 96th Street, I look forward to a leisurely bus ride home for the scenery.
-
good morning to all. hope everyone has a great day.
-
DR JohnG, when I began watching A Place To Call Home, I thought you had seen the entire series.

Good morning, all.

It's raining heavily outside and the thunderstorms have just begun. I'd rather be under the covers.

DR JohnG, when I began watching A Place To Call Home, I thought you had seen the entire series.
I'm taking my time and binge-watching seasons every other week or so.
-
Happy birthday and many vibes for Charles Pogue.
-
Vixmom, I don't kick seats. Just leave the 10-gallon hat at home. :)
-
Good morning, all.
-
A reasonably good sleep was had, and it came with a dream that I'd like to bring into focus. No doubt the same old, same old, but I feel like there was something particularly interesting or just oddly pleasant about it.
-
A very happy birthday and healthy vibes to Charles Pogue!
-
My word.
-
The bird is the word.

Wednesday morning greetings! Richard and are about to start our journey south for ALA Midwinter in Atlanta. Today's destination is Cleveland, TN.

Maybe we will see photos from DR GINNY's march through Georgia.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
Just before going to bed Time Warner or Spectrum went down. Rather than worry about it, to bed I went. I got off wi-fi for the iPad, played my before bed two games, which took ten minutes, then I put the wi-fi back on and it was working again.
-
Shortly I shall futz and finesse.
-
Page two? Really?
-
Word up!

Thanks for the ear worm, Elmore. I'll be singing Take Me Back to Manhattan all afternoon (I sang Time Heals Everything all morning, so st least this one is brighter.) Eileen Rogers sings the hell out of it on the Off-Broadway Anything Goes.

TOD:
Do you ever feel something akin to post-parting depression after finishing a manuscript, BK?
-
DR JANE I have never seen said shower.....I have only heard stories about it.
I totally missed DR Ginny was referring to a special type of shower. Now I am curious.
-
My walk back from the gym at the clubhouse required walking through puddles. The upside was I did not have to walk over ice :)
-
Futzed and finessed - added, removed, smoothed and didn't write any new pages, since I'd already written a half-page of new material while I was futzing and finessing.
-
Then I went and had an omelet and a bagel, then came right back home.
-
I had to figure out a couple of little things, so I did that, then I wrote two new pages and began a third new page. Now I'll have some ice cream and then I'll try and write the next four or five pages, which will then leave me three or four to do later.
-
Writing vibes for MR BK.
-
Happy birthday to Rob Berman!

My , but Chas is a bit wordy today

It's raining cats and dogs. The wind is very strong. Trees are bowing to passersby.
It's dark and forbidding out there.
Gadzooks, it's nearly quitting time, and I'm going to hate driving in all that mess.
-
John, never fear, no ten gallon hat here, I am going to wear my special theatre going hat, the one with ostrich feathers

Oh look at me, I found page three
-
Good evening!
-
Page 3?
-
Happy Birthday to DR Charles Pogue!
-
I went on a writing jag and did about seven pages for a total of nine, but that doesn't count the extra material I wrote for the earlier pages and it certainly doesn't take into account the extra three pages I wrote yesterday. So, I could conceivably be done with my writing for the day, but I think I'll do at least two more for a total of eleven and if I'm feeling inspired maybe two beyond that. I left off in a really fun place so I can jump right back in and if I do the next three pages it gets me to a very important moment and I can then do that first thing tomorrow.
-
Bryan sent me a surprise gift, something to wear that I cannot wear. I had to write, thank him and ask if I can send it back to him to return. I don't know what can be done. I suspect he ordered it from the website. I hope not and that he found it locally for a much better price than the Norwegian company sells it for.
I'm sure glad I hadn't gotten around to telling him how awful the pricey fruitcake he sent for Christmas tasted.
-
Good evening. Home after a whirlwind trip. Joshie is so glad to see me.
-
It is nice to be missed.
-
Seems to be raining here. Not heavily, but still raining. I wrote another page so one more to reach eleven, which I may do right now, and then maybe another two or three at some point.
-
It's been raining off and on here in Tumwater...now it's on. I can hear it falling through the downspouts, but not see it, so I don't know how much it's raining. I'm about to find out, though because I'm leaving work now.
Be back later.
-
John, never fear, no ten gallon hat here, I am going to wear my special theatre going hat, the one with ostrich feathers
I've plucked feathers from a bird before.

I ushered for Pilobolus tonight. The company performed a show called Shadowland, and it was quite wonderful. Very playful. Lots of fun. And the audience was very attentive.
-
What was funny was that we were told beforehand that the company would be wearing body stockings instead of performing in the nude.
-
They wore much more complicated, albeit skin-tight, costumes, however.
-
But the creative energy, on display throughout, was what was magical.
-
Thankfully, the rains have stopped here. For now.
-
There are more thunderstorms in the forecast.
-
I made the No Potato Salad for the potluck tomorrow.
-
And I'm back to season three of A Place to Call Home.
-
The Anna and Gino story is getting tiresome.
-
But the rest is quite enjoyable.
-
Hello, 2 guests.
-
What's your favorite TV soap opera?
-
The library does not have season four yet.
-
Guess I will have to wait.
-
Nothing happening here.
-
So, let's move on.
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?
-
Really.
-
Jane, the man who created the wonderful bar that I took Keith and you to, Paramour, has announced that he's moving on. He hasn't announced what he's doing next, but I'm sure it'll be something equally brilliant.
-
Twelve pages and I'm all in. I'll relax for an hour, take a hot shower, and then if I'm feeling inspired I might do another page or two, but I got through a key sequence. I think it's pretty good - I rewrote it about six times as I went along and I'm sure there will be further futzing and finessing as I go along.
-
As much as I would love to keep watching A Place to Call Home, I am fading fast.
-
Good night, all.
-
The Anna and Gino story is getting tiresome.
We highly agree.
-
I made the No Potato Salad for the potluck tomorrow.
I would like to try that.

Does that mean he is selling the bar?
-
Page four? REALLY?
-
I'm going to take a hot shower shortly and see if I'm up to writing another page so that in the morning I'm ready to write something I've been waiting for almost the entire book so far.
-
Page four? Really?
-
I was all warm and cozy in bed until I got a foot cram and had to walk it off. Now I am cold, especially my feet 😆
-
GOOD VIBES FOR THE UNCLE OF DR JRAND!!!
-
Good evening!
-
What day was the No potato salad recipe? I meant to go back and read it, but I forgot.
-
Damn! I love new recipes.
-
It has been raining like crazy here for the last two days.
-
So, of course, in the passes it is heavy snow and freezing rain.
-
They had to close the major pass across the state.
-
What pass is that?
-
It certainly is winter in Warshington.
-
I skipped the old actors lunch today.
-
What pass is that?
Snoqualmie
-
I really need to make some homemade soup for days like these.
-
Maybe next week.
-
Tomorrow is my second eye procedure.
-
Hi, Tom.

I ushered for Pilobolus tonight. The company performed a show called Shadowland, and it was quite wonderful. Very playful. Lots of fun. And the audience was very attentive.
That's great, John! Glad you enjoyed it.

I am not worried about it.

Now, if I can keep it up for the second half of the book.

Just remember that the town of Sequim is pronounced "Squim." The "e" is silent (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gHPaVxkdPA).

I didn't know that Tom Lehrer wrote that song for "The Electric Company." He also wrote and performed a version of "L-Y (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4KybdSi1Fc).
-
I didn't know that version of "L-Y,", I only knew THIS (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INL6hc9yEow) one.
-
I do like the idea of naming the chapters, but I am not sure I am clever enough for that.
-
I was really impressed and rather amazed.

I just corrected spellcheck on my original post. I did type question.
That's interesting, and fun for you, that you waited to read it.

I did re-read each section after I wrote it, but this was the first time through the whole thing as a story.

Sorry, I missed this post before. Thanks, George.

Well Tom, I need to go to bed now. I have a training tomorrow morning that starts earlier than when I usually get to work and I can't be late for it, so I'm going to be now.
To quote Jane Curtain, "Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow." :)
-
Good night, George.
