I didn't watch the movies the others were watching. I retired to the inner sanctum and watched Topsy-Turvy for my second time ever. I'd been blown away by it originally, but had saved my return to it for an evening which felt "just right", and I don't even know what led me to that part of the collection last night but it was indeed the most perfect time for it. What an incredible achievement it is. And now I'm thinking ... G&S binge ...
I am sorry to say that my uncle is not doing too well this morning....so we shall see what the day brings.
The recyclables are mostly from The Midnight Sun, TAO's performance space. We have two blue tubs so one can be left at the space while I take the other one and put the recyclables in the bins at my condo complex. I usually get home late at night, so I don't want to try and sort out non-recyclables in the dark, which means I don't always empty it quickly...but there are two bins, so it's not a great rush.
I just received the following message from FB:
"You're temporarily restricted from creating open graph actions until tomorrow at 7:43am."
WHAT THE HELL IS AN OPEN GRAPH ACTION?
???
Finished the first draft of my new play in THE HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS collection.
...I don't mind listening to him.....but I don't want to look at him.

Congratulations to MR BK!!! I am looking forward to THE BOOK. Interesting notes! It was nice to read something on the internet that was NOT about Topic Number ONE.
DR CHAS SMITH - AutoZone seems to be the best place to buy a car battery - depending on the location, they may install it for free.
DR John, Keith said we already have RESTLESS on our watch list :)
Last night we attended a private screening of the movie version of The Zookeeper's Wife, which will be released in March. It's based on Diane Ackerman's book and there was a talk-back with her afterwards. One of the coolest things I've ever done at an ALA conference.

Good news. Still in the first half, but I think you'll enjoy it.
My kitchen sprung a new leak about 10 days ago. Our very reliable handyman came out the next day and did some caulking, but there's more to do and he won't be able to do it until things dry out.

Let me know what you think when you've seen it all. I liked the underlying story, but had some problems with the structure.
BTW, Acorn is now shipping season 4 of A PLACE TO CALL HOME. Don't know when Netflix will get it.
DR ELMORE there is a production of CHARLIE BROWN being done locally - in fact where MR BK's BRAINEX was produced - and all of the performers except one are just TOO old....it's scary to see the production photos.....but the Artistic Director wanted to do the title role, I guess, so he chose his friend to direct and of course his friend cast him......it's the same place that did PC SPELLING BEE and all the adults acted like they were "special needs" kids....

That sounds like a lot of fun. So does doing the march in a city different from your own.

LOL! You can go blind looking at that dress and hair bow.

I am trying to imagine 7000 librarians all in one place....that's a lot of hair barrettes and sweater sets!
That is because Culver City has normal people. Studio City has entitled, spoiled twits who cannot stay home for more than two minutes. They MUST go out, especially if it's raining cats and dogs.

Did you like the movie better than you liked the book?

DR Jane, it's been years since I listened to the book, so I only remembered the basic outline of the story. The movie is beautiful, with Jessica Chastain a the title character.

There are also a fair number of tattoos and nontraditional hair colors...
I saw "Titanic, the Musical" yesterday at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. I enjoyed it. I thought the cast was terrific.

I'll keep them in mind. Thanks for mentioning that.

The mountain of onions rings.
Restless has a great cast at the mercy of a not-great script telling a really good story.
Page five? Really?
Jrand, I like the SECOND SECOND SAMUEL.
The two new cast members will fit right in with the rest of us.
The regional conference is the last weekend of March in Boise, Idaho.

I didn'the realize you would be going to Idaho. Is it easier for you to fly or drive?
