Oh, no! I'm watching an episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", and there was a commercial for a new show that's going to start on March 5...it's a TV series with the same name as the movie it's based on: "Time After Time." Yup, a series about Jack the Ripper and H. G. Wells who travel through time to the present. What WON'T be remade?? ::)

Hmmm. Maybe the Ripper will only be in the first episode.
I'm ahead of schedule: I've nearly finished Hillbilly Elegy...
What do you think of Hillbilly Elegy, Elmore?
I would have been home thirty minutes earlier if the goddamned MTA followed their posted bus schedules. i just missed the bus when I lefty the barber, and I then waited 30 minutes for another. According to the posted schedule, there should have been one every 10 minutes. Fat chance.
Started my day with some ugly driveway cleanup. Oy. And ugh.
Armco must have devastated so much more than just the company where my dad had worked for years, which they acquired then cast to the winds.
Good morning to everyone

Much, much more. When I lived there in the mid-80s, people were still in shock that Armco had left them behind.

The problem with these time travel TV series is that they don't seem to go anywhere.

In the 1950s, we were taught that Middletown was the best of all possible worlds ands Armco the best of all possible employers.
I'm glad I'm not in Toronto with this crook, but I say, good for you, Jonathan Tunick!

Has anyone heard a peep out of former DR Danise lately?
In other news...
...my congestion has not completely abated. I occasionally get a scratchy throat and have to cough stuff out.
[ewww...gross...I know]
Still....

Your favorite, Victoria Clark.
Been trying to nab a copy of this LP for years, so I jumped at this:
...and then I wrote The Music Man (http://www.stagedoorrecords.com/stage2380.html)
Release date February 24, but it was in my mailbox today, surprise surprise. Listening now.

I'm sure it's all her fault.
Not really political, but since the Statue of Liberty has been in the news so much lately, I put Skip's song "Lady in the Harbor" on the blog for his music and stuff.
Skip's song "Lady in the Harbor" - performed by Laura Benanti, Brian d'Arcy James and co.

It's not letting me listen. I have been singing Irving Berlin's glorious setting of the Emma Lazarus poem lately.

I was able to listen to it. Fred, please tell Skip it's great!
Three to make ready....
But Page 5 to go.
Stumble-through in a couple of hours.
One of my co-workers is SUCH a slave to fashion. She wears a pair of shoes that have metal-tipped tassels that flop against the hard leather of her shoes when she walks.
She's quite noisy in them.
