-
And the word of the day is: BONZER!

Yeah, but they'll figure it out.

And on that note (B-flat), I need to go to sleep now.
Good night, Tom.

-
congrats on the new look George. You look fabulous.

Lovely pictures of the handsome dancing John g ...actually I shall echo Jane. Since she used the perfect word...dashing!
-
George I love your new avatar! You too, are looking very handsome I approve of the haircut and congratulate you on your weight loss.
-
Looking at my vacation photos it is really obvious how much weight I have gained in the past year
-
I need to seriously start a weight loss regimine
-

-
Good morning, all!
-
DRs George and John G, great photos!
-
Nice new pics, everyone. And congrats, DR George.
It's a bit alarming how many of those pounds have traveled eastward across the USA.
I'm with vixmom on this. The time to get serious about weight is nigh.
-
Since I missed my jaunt to City Center yesterday, I must head down today. I look forward to seeing Joshie and rob and hearing how Big River went at last night's public dress rehearsal.
-
So, it seems we are getting slammed with... you know... the S-word... tomorrow.
-
I'll have to pick up a few necessities this afternoon.
-
LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON is the film that got Maurice Chevalier back into American movies.
He'd been "blacklisted" after WW2 because some people thought he'd been a "collaborator" with the Nazis.
He wasn't.
-
I'm having a medical test today that I am not looking forward to.
They're going to shock and stick needles into my left arm for 2-3 hours to see if there is nerve damage in the elbow.
I do not do well with pain.
:( :'(
-
Vibes to Druxy!!!
-
DR George your haircut looks good, as do you.
-
TCB, it was smart of you to go ahead and begin treating your access. Is it possible to submit the bill to your insurance company on your own? It was an emergency.

This does not sound pleasant. Good luck it is less painful than expected, and that the results are good.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Vibes to TCB and Druxy and anyone else in need.
-
Great photo, George.
-
It's going to be 87 here today with a high of 67 tomorrow. What gives?
-
Wednesday morning greetings! I had an early morning appointment with the business office at Mom's retirement community, followed by some errands. In about half an hour, I'm going to meet a grantwriter friend for lunch. We have a respite from the bathroom construction today, but hopefully they'll be back tomorrow or Friday.
-
Good, Good Morning!!!
-
Nice photos from DR GEORGE and DR JOHN G yesterday. Very nice, gentlemen.
Tooth/dentist/insurance vibes for DR TCB.
-
Good news from MR BK on the Holmes Front.
-
I keep laughing at the dialog in the The LEGO Batman Movie trailers....
-
Doctor Visit Vibes for DR DRUXY.

My question for ASK BK DAY:
What is the strangest combination of films you ever saw on a double feature?
-
So, Joy, my dance instructor had a root canal yesterday, TCB is having his dental woes. And another friend is having a root canal tomorrow. I hope this ain't contagious.
-
My question for ASK BK DAY:
What is the strangest combination of films you ever saw on a double feature?
In know this is meant for BK, but ...
When I was very young, the neighborhood drive-in showed a double bill of The 10 Commandments and Gidget Goes Hawaiian.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

I'll have to ponder this - I'm sure there were some weird ones.
-
Also nice photo from George! Congrats on your weight loss!
Thanks, Fred!
-
I'm up, I'm up - about six hours of sleep.
-
I think i found the pounds you lost!
I'm so sorry, Fred! :-X

And now, I have ketchuped all over the notes.
;)
-
Ran my errands, ate a little "brunch" (one particular part of which flies in the face of my stated concern about pounds this morning), and now I'm going to work on some music before going out and getting the snowblower and everything ready for the storm.
And damn it to HELL, it's SPRING out there today. So sad.
-
Let us all turn to page three in our hymnals.
-
And what are we going to sing, ChasSmith?
-
LOL that would be some evening of viewing DR JOHN G.
One of my favorite drive in double bills was:
BONNIE & CLYDE with UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE
-
Great, JRand. I wonder if anyone ever booked Valley of the Dolls and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls together.
-
I'm not a fan of updating my resume but my supervisor instructed me to do so. And he gave me a form to follow. And now I guess I know what I'll be doing.
-
And what are we going to sing, ChasSmith?
We're going to sing about that cross-eyed bear, aren't we?
That bear named Gladly?
-
And I am home. There is much to be accomplished before Feb. 23, but I like working at City Center. I do miss Toyland, so it's good to have a place to go.
-
Great, JRand. I wonder if anyone ever booked Valley of the Dolls and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls together.
But, of course...

Thank you, Ron. That's too beautiful.
-
Rob and Mary Linda are on their way to London for a long weekend. They have a very tight connection at Dulles that makes me nervous...
-
I'm not a fan of updating my resume but my supervisor instructed me to do so. And he gave me a form to follow. And now I guess I know what I'll be doing.
I don't like the sound of this...

Vibes for you, John!
-
I think Butch Cassidy... and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie were on a double feature at the Kent Theatre in Brooklyn.
A fun one was Clambake and With Six You Get Eggroll, which only had food in their titles to make them related in any way.
-

This would be a promotion. Sorry to inject my exhaustion as having to look for another job.
-
Back from an omelet and a bagel - package is due but, of course, isn't here - it's being delivered by Amazon delivery, and in my record it's supposed to have clear instructions that it has to be delivered before close of business day - we shall see.
-
Came right home to a wonderful blurb from Rupert Holmes, which I'll share in the notes. So, we'll definitely not only post the cover on Friday, but make the book available for pre-order - thinking about what we can do that's really special for this one.
-
Test went okay. Will not need the extra surgery.
-
Excellent news, DR Druxy.
-
That's wonderful.

Good news DR DRUXY.
Yes DR JOHN G - we saw the VOD/BVOD double feature that DR RLP shared the poster from.....
I also remember the BUTCH CASSIDY/JEAN BRODIE double feature......
-
Almost quittin' time.
-
Busy, busy, frustrating day!
-
Wednesdays seem to be "everyone dump on Ron" day.
-
I've got some Shan Dong Chicken and rice to take home for my din-din. My boss brought it to me.
-
A new storm system is sinisterly approaching. The skies have been overcast all day and we've had off-and-on rain, but the heavens are going to open tonight (so the weather guessers say).
-
This takes us on to....

SAFE AND EASY TRAVEL VIBES FOR ROB AND MARY LINDA!
-
Our April flights are booked, at a discounted rate, with the cruise line. The downside to letting them book the flights is it limits our options. They wanted to send us through Paris with less than an hour layover. Paris is about the worst airport to change flights at. We have done it twice and both times were lucky to make the connection it took so long to go from the arrival gate to our departing gate. Needless to say we are not going through Paris.

You must be relieved.

I hope it wasn't too painful.
-
DR John how are you feeling after your biopsy?

I've got some Shan Dong Chicken and rice to take home for my din-din. My boss brought it to me.
Obviously your boss appreciates you.
-
It's still a beautiful day!
-
Hello!
-
Good news, DR Druxy!
-
Temps going from 70's to 30's overnight, with snow expected in the morning (though it shouldn't stick).
-
Nice photos, DR George and DR John G!
-
I walked a total of 9 miles in rain today. First I went with my neighbor, which included a stop for hot chocolate, before returning home. I then changed my wet socks & gloves, and off I went with Keith. My newish rain jacket keeps me pretty dry.

If his replacement is from within the team, then that person will need to be replaced.

Page four? Really?

GOOD PROMOTION JOB VIBES FOR DR JOHN!!!
-
Listening to some historical Sibelius recordings, mostly from the 1930s, with some pretty amazing transfers from 78s. Most of the symphonies are conducted by Robert Kajanus, who was Sibelius' favorite conductor. So, these were frequently either the first recordings of these works or close to it. So, it's fascinating to hear them and I must say I'm enjoying what I'm hearing - one does have to adjust one's ears, just as one had to for the Anthony Collins 50s mono recordings - those sound excellent but a bit limited in range and these from twenty years before sound pretty amazing for their age. But it's the performances here that's the thing.
-
Good evening.
-
I just threw the pants I was wearing today into the dryer along with 2 pairs of wet gloves. I am hoping my jacket is dry by tomorrow.
-
I will need them. What a day to be getting my hair done. It won't last long but I really need a haircut.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Starting to watch Queen of Katwe. I love the way Mira Nair presents an environment. The start is fascinating
-
Nice photos, DR George and DR John G!
Thanks, Kevin!
-
And now...
-
...it's PAGE FIVE!!
-
Nice photos, DR George and DR John G!
Thanks, Kevin!
Thank you, Kevin!
-
And on that note (F#), I'm outta here. I need to go to Costco, then I'm going home.
Be back later.
-
My laptop is taking forever to update
-
It's funny. I love movies about chess. I even love the score to Chess, but I don't think I have the patience any longer to play the game.
-
Last fixes have been entered and book will now go to Grant - we'll be able to start that part of it mid next week and it shouldn't take too long.
-
We are watching THE INFILTRATOR.

Congratulations. Looking forward to holding a copy in my hands.
-
Queen of Katwe was based on a true story. I loved the ending because the director showed you the actor and the real person and then gave you the update on what happened to each one since the story in the movie.
-
I need to get to bed. Hopefully, I can sleep tonight.
-
Good ngiht, all.
-
Good ngiht, all.
Good ngiht, John.
;)
-
What a screwy day - some great, some bad, some in-between.
-
No motion pictures this evening. Just Sibelius from the 1930s. I am in a rather foul and fowl mood, frankly, so I think a trip to the shower will happen soon.
-
On New Year's Eve, I recorded "That's Entertainment I, II, & III" on TCM. Earlier tonight, I bought the trilogy on Blu-ray at Costco. Comparing the HD broadcast with the Blu-ray, the TV broadcast is so much better looking than the Blu-ray. The discs seem very grainy and darker, and the sound isn't as vibrant as the broadcast.
Darn. :-\
-
DR TCB is your flu, or whatever, gone?
-
Good evening!
-
Whew! I didn't think my iPad was working.
-
Jane, I guess my flu is gone.
-
It is hard to tell with my face swollen up like a beach ball.
-
It is kind of trading one crisis for another.
-
At least the pain isn't quite as bad.
-
Unless I touch my face.
-
Great, JRand. I wonder if anyone ever booked Valley of the Dolls and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls together.
I went to that double feature.
-
Good news, Druxy.
-
Thanks for all the tooth vibes.
-
Jane, I guess my flu is gone.
At least something is better.
-
Did you find an oral surgeon?
-
Did you find an oral surgeon?
Not yet. I guess my dental coverage isn't as good as I thought it was.
-
Sorry about that.
-
Sorry about that.
Me, too.

So much for AARP Medicare Complete.

My Flu Is Gone - I can't believe you guessed the title of my new novel.

How was your shower?
-
Shower was lovely.
