Well, you've read the notes, the notes had nocturnal chirping, and now it is time for you to post until the nocturnal chirping cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: STRAVAGE!
-
First post after BK!
-
I will have to think about the topic of the day.
-
Monster from Green Hell (http://www.kritzerland.com/monster_greenhell.htm) has arrived in Tumwater!
-
Last night's consessions session went well...not a lot of business from the non-alcohol-drinking crowd. The booze servers got most of the business, so I got to read several chapters of Thrill Ride (Kindle Edition) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHR6HJ8/). :)
-
After I put everything away after intermission was over, I decided to get something to eat. I went to Applebee's and had a burger (and fries which I shouldn't have had, but I did). It was all good. I also read a couple more chapters. I am really enjoying "Thrill Ride."
-
Now I'm home, watching TV, but about to go to sleep.
Good night and have a good day, all!
-
Good night, George.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had this strange dream in which I needed advice from a lawyer, so I took a bus out to New Jersey, went t a law office, and spoke to Christine Baranski.
-
The advice was good.
-
I have a quiet day: two scores to proofread here and that's about it.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I recall seeing EDGE OF ETERNITY years ago. As I recall, that final fight scene over the canyon was terrific.
-
I am dragging this morning, though not in a bad way, and am glad it's pretty much a free day until the show tonight.
I shall make a run to the store, both for now and for the big storm coming on Tuesday. The panic shopping is going to be crazy for this one, so it's best to get it done as soon as possible.

TOD:
Victor Mature:
KISS OF DEATH
CRY OF THE CITY
VIOLENT SATURDAY
Richard Widmark:
KISS OF DEATH
JUDGMENT AT NUREMBERG
YELLOW SKY
BROKEN LANCE
NIGHT AND THE CITY
PANIC IN THE STREETS
MADIGN
MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS (I can't believe they're remaking this. :o)
-
We watched the new Criterion version of BEING THERE last night.
The film holds up very well.
The disc has an alternate ending. So glad they didn't use it.
-
We watched Kiss of Death on my friend's projection system last week. I'd never seen it, and it was most enjoyable. Will probably watch it again fairly soon.
I got Edge of Eternity, too, which I've also never seen, but I popped it in for a quick look when it arrived, and WOW, what a piece of eye candy. This will be a treat.
-
I don't know Cry of the City, but that's a great title.
-
I am reminded that St. Paddy's is next Friday.
And now all of you are reminded as well.
-
I've moved all my clocks forward. It will take me forever to adjust to the time change, so I'm beginning today.
-
Good morning to all
-
I am also reminded that two weeks from today, several of us will be gathering for a delightful repast and some pure magic at City Center.
-
The cramps are still present, much less than yesterday but still around.
-

I'm hoping! I'm going through my paranoid "will it be good/will it suck?" phase. It happens on everything I work on.

Thank you for THAT reminder, DR Elmore.

Understood. But it will be nothing but good.
And thank you for the extra copies of those songs. I'm going to bind them and sit down with them this week.
-
That's something else I can get done today.
-
The cramps are still present, much less than yesterday but still around.
I did my searching, found two sources for what I believe is the exact type of peppermint spirits I'm looking for, and ordered one bottle (they're tiny, only an ounce) from each source. I'll doublecheck them when they arrive, and will be happy to share one with you to try it if you want, DR Elmore.
-
I guess I could also be helpful and post a damned link.
This one's the fastest and easiest to get:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014AU712/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

I ordered this yesterday:

I am certain, though, that by the time it arrives I will be fine.

I have to decide if I want to do laundry today or tomorrow. I think the week will get crazy before the Friday sitzprobe, so today7 and tomorrow are my best days to prepare for the next two weeks.
-
Great minds!
-
Your sitzprobe is on St. Patrick's Day?
-
Your sitzprobe is on St. Patrick's Day?
It's always on Friday afternoon.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Far from the cries of the city
Where flowers pretty
Caress the streams ...
Now I'll have Tea for Two in my head all morning.
-
I decided to do laundry, and it will soon be off my schedule. While i was in the basement, I missed a phone call from Rob. He's in rehearsal now.
-
I'm listening to the cast album of Prettybelle at the moment/
-
Prep vibes for DR ELMORE.
Getting the show back on track for DR CHAS SMITH & Co.
-
I'm listening to the cast album of Prettybelle at the moment/
An even better ear worm.
When I'm drunk I'm beautiful
Beautiful...

I'm pleased to report that I grabbed THRILL RIDE for Kindle and devoured it yesterday during the snowstorm. Just posted a review on Amazon.
Kudos to BK. It was worth the wait. Looking forward to a second reading.

Beautiful reviews from ChasSmith and JohnG!
-
last night I worked until 8
-
Came home and received a call from the Vixter ,
-
She and Her BF are tired of living in a 900 square foot apt and have found. Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a real kitchen, a dining area a orch, washer, dryer and dishwasher and the whole complex has just been redone and upgraded
-
Only 15 minutes from where they now live and they move on April 1
-
She is very excited and happy
-
After that call I made myself some dinner.
-
Then I watched some War and Peace
-
I was getting a bit confused about who was who so I went back and rewatched episodes 2 and 3 and then 4.
-
And that's where I was last night
-
Also did a little laundry
-
Today I went to church to set up communion and to help set up a reception for after a memorial service bring held today
-
Then banking
-
An oil change
-
Filled the cars gas tank ahead of the blizzard panic
-
Stopped by mom's
-
And now home and having a coffee before tackling vacuuming, floor mopping, more laundry etc etc etc
-
I am also reminded that two weeks from today, several of us will be gathering for a delightful repast and some pure magic at City Center.
I am sooooo excited for this!!!
-
The cramps are still present, much less than yesterday but still around.
Oh dear, could it be nerves? Tummy cramps ever gone vibes for Elmore

Just to clarify its a porch not an orchestra , although an orchestra would be way cooler
-
Nice! Is this in Kissimmee?
-
I'm procrastinating like crazy on my shopping. I really don't want to go out and do that today.
I think it's going to happen tomorrow morning instead. Or even Monday morning, which "could" be a little less crowded what with people at work.
-
I was about to write about the orchestra when DR VIXMOM clarified her post.....congrats to The VIXTER - it sounds great!

I have only the last chapter to go! I probably won't get to it today, though. Today, a friend is coming to visit while his wife is at a bachelorette party. I'm going to my parents' house for our weeky family dinner at 4:00, and then my friend is on his own. I'll be home again later this evening.

That's great! Is it much more than what she's paying for her current place?
-
Back from a productive production meeting and picking up some packages. Tonight's opening night is on.
-
The cramps are still present, much less than yesterday but still around.
~~~Continued Feel Better Vibes for Larry!!~~~
-
I'm not quite sure where this day went, but it's time for me to jump into the shower and leave for the the-a-tuh.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Congrats to BK and company for the great Rupert Holmes show! The videos made me feel like I almost know him.
-
I'm amazed at how quickly THRILL RIDE has become available--at least on Kindle.
Call me old-fashioned, but I still prefer reading an actual BOOK. I'm looking forward to it.
-
John G, I'm sorry to hear about the problems with your dad. May things go as smoothly as possible for you and your family.
-
Tummy vibes to Larry.
Health vibes to all!
I'm pleased for them. In my hood, prices would be starting around $2100. In Houston, where my cousin lives, it's $750 for a LARGE one-bedroom with w/d--if you're lucky.
-
Thank you. I guess we're back to a holding pattern.
Porches can be cool, too, especially with a ceiling fan. (Yes, I can hear the groans.)
-
TTFN.
-
Oh, hi, John. You snuck in there.
-
TTFN 2.
-
I've been listening to In the Great Green Room, a bio of Margaret Wise Brown. I'm loving the book but I don't know a lot of Brown's work. I was happy to find five of her books at the library today.
-
This PBS fund drive on channels 13 and 21 has screwed up my weekend. It seems to be nothing but informercials and kitsch concerts I'd rather be dead than attend: Father Alessandro (Is that his name? some singing friar), Dudu Fisher, Andre Rieu. Holy hell!
-
Opening night fun vibes for MR BK.
-
I went for a walk in the pouring rain today and saw this.
-
Good evening. I have been out camping. It is getting warm out in the desert.
-
Hi Jane. Those are shaped like cormorants.
-
The advice was good.
Now you don't need to hire a lawyer ;)
-
I bet :)
I was thinking the same thing.
DITTO!
-
Hi Jane. Those are shaped like cormorants.
:-[
Thank you DR Laura. I just gave Keith a rough time for not correcting me. He said "you would never see two herons". I know, that is why I was shocked and took the photo ;D
-
Nice photo DR JANE.
-
Watched a very powerful documentary from 2005 called After Innocence. Maddening and you'll want to scream at the TV but well worth watching to see not only how flawed our justice system is, but how pompous and horrible some prosecutors are, even when they know they've convicted the wrong person.
-
It is a beautiful photo, Jane. I love the shades of black and gray.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Musically this has been a Howard Hanson kind of day. I did finish listening to all 25 CDs in the Bernstein box - some of them twice.
-
I had a couple of tortillas with cheese earlier. I'm told there'll be food at the after party - don't know if I'll partake or not - if not, I'll just snack when I get home.
-
Nice photo DR JANE.
Thank you.
-
Thank you. I too was pleased with the shades of black and gray, though the credit goes to the lack of any color in the sky this morning :D
-
All of our clocks and watches have been set forward an hour.
-
When I think of Victor Mature or Richard Windmark my reaction isn't overly enthusiastic. I know I enjoyed many of their films.
Mature:
The Robe
Samson and Delilah
Windmark:
The Alamo
Judgment at Nuremberg
-
Nice! Is this in Kissimmee?
Still in Orlando
-
It's a couple of hundred more but still well within their budget and it's about three times the size in a much nicer complex and neighborhood
That's great! Is it much more than what she's paying for her current place?
I went for a walk in the pouring rain today and saw this.
Saturday evening greetings from the west side of Lima, OH! I've had a busy couple of days and am accompanying Fr. Richard as he celebrates Mass tomorrow at the church from which he retired last summer.
-
Yesterday morning I took my young friend Shelly to the monthly art journaling group at Marco's Paper in Centerville. She'd never been to the store and she's been looking for some art peeps. She's also beginning to do some marketing for her art retreat bed & breakfast, so it was a win/win/win morning for her.
-
After the art outing, I went home for lunch and then baked 2 cinnamon pecan coffee cakes - one for our household and one for an AAUW brunch this morning.
-
This morning I was at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Community for our book brunch, which was quite nice. Then home to pack while watching Michigan advance to the Big Ten basketball tournament final. Fr. Richard and I attended a 5pm service at the Dayton church where he's subbing next week for the priest who's going on a mission trip to Iraq. We stopped for dinner at Frisch's in Tipp City and arrived here in Lima about an hour ago.
-
Went to a party tonight across the street from the Alamo. Up on a rooftop. Scenery could not be beat.
-
Someone from work threw the party to showcase a singer-songwriter friend. And he got to play with the band.
-
Right now I'm in a place that's too loud and is trying too hard to be trendy.
-
And I'm too old.
-
Nduja mascarpone? I feel as tired of the trendiness as BK when confronted with a kale salad.
-
To me, nduja is a classic but it was trendy eight years ago.
-
Maybe it's a new cycle.
-
Five!
-
Spinach Dumplings with a Parmesan-truffle cream sauce sounds good. And blue cheese farro.
All the pasta is made in house.
-
Nduja mascarpone?
I am so culinarily ignorant that I thought you were vixtyping
-
John G - thanks for sending those photos of the Alamo!
There were pictures?
Not of the party, of the Alamo!
I texted a few to Fred. I will post when I get home. I don't know how to upload from phone to HHW.
-
BTW, on the HHW directory, it says that Red Gold is BK's new book. Thats a little past tense.
-
DR Ginny you have had a busy weekend :)
-
Good evening!
-
Another rainy night in Tacoma.
-
We may have a day off from the rain tomorrow.
-
But only for one day.
-
Good evening, Jane.
-
Not of the party, of the Alamo!
I forgot
-
I never remember the Alamo
-
I will not groan.
I will not groan.
I will not groan.
I will not groan.
I will not groan.
-
I never remember the Alamo
Tee hee.
-
Good night, all.
-
Good evening, Jane.
Good evening Tom.
-
I now have 4 books checked out from the library. I had better start reading.
-
'night
-
Still no information on where we are staying in Boise.
-
Home from the opening night - two John Patrick Shanley plays - not my favorite writer, I'm afraid.
-
I have changed half the clocks in my house.
-
One more post to go.
-
Page 6
-
I guess it isn't really midnight, yet.
-
Even though all the clocks in the house say that it is.
-
Greetings, 1 Guest.
-
What is your favorite Victor Mature movie?
Great picture, Jane!
-
I'm home.
-
My friend David came over while his wife was at a bachelorette party. He actually helped my clear out a bunch of recyclables.
-
Hi, Tom.
