Well, you've read the notes, the notes were productive, and now it is time for you to post until the productive cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SAMIZDAT!
-
Hoping dear reader George will finish the final chapter and do an Amazon review - perhaps even this night!

Right now, I am ketchuping on yesterday's posts. I don't like to read late at night because I'm usually in my bed (like I am now) and I just can't get comfortable enough to read. But I have no plans today, so I'll definitely finish it today!
-
DR George thank you for the compliment on my photo.
-
First in the (sprung ahead an hour) morning!
-
Good morning to all
-
Good morning, all.
-
Woke up too early (double whammy with the time change) out of a mildly interesting dream.
-
Thinking about sustenance.
You know what I wish I had in front of me right now?
No, of course you don't. How could you?
I'll tell you. A big bowl and plate of Bob Evans sausage gravy and biscuits.
-
With a side of blueberry waffles.
-
And don't forget the hash browns.
-
Last performance of La Cage and cast dinner tonight.
-
Not much else to report.
Oh -- It was nine (9) degrees when I got up. I guess that's worth reporting.
-
It's thirteen now. Going up to thirty today and back down to ten tonight. Or nine. Depends on which website you look at.
-
But enough drivel from me!
Let's hear some drivel from somebody else.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Well, I was sure i'd be awake by the new 7:30 (old 6:30) but I din't wake untiul the old 8:30. I haye this damned time change.
-
This is a loose day for me. I've accomplished my proofreading for tomorrow, so I will do some tidying up and vacuuming this morning and then have a day to yself. I've gotten through 3/4 of The Other Boleyn Girl, so I may read sme of that this afternoon and listen to CDs.
-
Last night I watched bits of two Swan Lake productions. The latest, from the Royal Ballet, was designed in costumes of around 1870, about the time of the ballet's composition, and I found them all wrong. Swan Lake os a tragic fairy tale and I think it works better set somewhere in the distant past. The Prince and Swan Queen are a married couple and they danced very well, but I kept thinking how scrawny and thin his legs were.
-
I much preferred the London Festival Ballet production from the late 1980s, choreographed by Natalia Makarova. The German designer Gunther Schneider-Siemssen, caught a medieval German look that I thought suited the piece really well. I knew his name and work from his Metropolitan Opera Ring Cycle of the 1970s, but I loved the look of this production. I wish several of the dances had not been cut since the score is so good, but outside of a few tacky filming effects, I think this is the Swan Lake for me.
-
So, I may sped some time today reading about Swan Lake in either Roland John Wiley's book on Tchaikovsky's ballets - Wiley is credited on the Royal Ballet DVD as a consultant - or David Brown's epic Tchaikovsky study.
-
When I was doing dinner theatre in the 1970s, I met an actor named Jim Roman who was right out of school, and he and I became good friends. By the tie I got to Manhattan in 1979, he had made acting a secondary career since he was going into real estate. He dragged me into several ventures with him, and the cabaret act Just Good Friends performed at a coupe of events he gave. After doing well in real estate, he gave up his place on Beekman Place and moved to LA, where he worked for Disney = or was it Universal? - and now he's involved with Come From Away, which opens tonight. I wish him and the show a big success. I will see it on April 7.
-
More coffee.

TOO COLD!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning....no it's afternoon now.....
-
Just tell me when it's Spring.
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
I forgot the time change and was almost late for ushering this morning.
-
Two!
-
It's a strange event, a weekend-long video game championship with the winning gamer taking home $30,000.
-
There's a classified new version of Xbox being tested here.
-
And I'm sure y'all are as excited as I am.

I really enjoyed the book of the Other Boleyn Girl, didn't care for the movie at all.
-
I forgot the time change and was almost late for ushering this morning.
Since this morning I had to set up communion in the church ( I couldn't do it yesterday because of a funeral) , and set up coffeehour and clean up from communion last night I n the chapel and I was serving as a communion assistant I made sure the alarm went off by 630 am in the new time. I got to church at 8 for the 9 am service . Usually when I arrive at 8 I'm the first one there and have to open up, this time there were about 20 people ahead of me. turns out the bell choir and the ushers and the traditional choir Members were all so nervous about being late with the time change everyone came early
-
I, for one, like the new dates of the time change. Now it falls back after Halloween so the kids can trick or treat more safely and the sooner we get more daylight in the evening the better. Those of us who must work in an office from 9 to 6 appreciate a few of hours of daylight when finally released back into the world
-
It's a strange event, a weekend-long video game championship with the winning gamer taking home $30,000.
Goodness! Any particular game they are playing ?
-
After church I went over to help my mom sort out her options for having her car repaired
-
Then I went to the grocery , yesterday the parking lot was full to overflowing ( which why I didn't attempt it)this morning at 11 there was hardly a soul to be seen
-
I just needed some bagels and apples and I bought some beef to make a nice stew
-
Dang I forgot the red wine to put in the stew
-
Ok I have to go back out
-
Oh, what a beautiful morning! (sounds like a song cue)
-
And I'm sure y'all are as excited as I am.
I find it interesting.
-
Sunday afternoon greetings! We are home from a 22-hour trip in which we drove 200 miles, went to church twice, and "sprang forward." Now it's time for some basketball - Go, Blue!
-

Last night we watched ME BEFORE YOU. I thought it was an excellent adaptation from a novel and the cast was excellent.
-
I forgot the time change and was almost late for ushering this morning.
Whew! Fortunately, I had nothing scheduled for today, so I'm not late for anything.
;)
-
I hiked this morning on the trail I did every day before my foot got hurt. One of the regulars gave me a great big hug. He missed me so much.
-
I do not understand video games.....and all of the time they take away from the people who play them....what is the benefit?
-
Good afternoon!
-
Waiting for the big storm on Tuesday! Actually, only 3-6 inches of snow are predicted for the DC area. Can't compare to 12-18 for NY, Philly and Boston.
-
Page two? Really?
-
Did my little errand, then I had tuna sandwiches for my meal o' the day and now I'm relaxing.
-
I did accomplish some things today, but i deliberately avoided the ones involving ladders and furniture moving.
-
For dinner I had grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup from our gome-cookin' Harriet's Kitchen:

-
Don't pass out because I'm posting on a Sunday.
Happy today, everybody.
-
I've talked with my mother today.
I've talked with my former college roommate today.
And now I am blessedly silent...not talking...just typing.
-
It's a gorgeous day outside today.
Blue skies for miles.
Current temp is 64 degrees, Fahrenheit.
-
I was busy in the kitchen putting together the stew for tonight when I could have sworn I heard BK calling from my livingroom.
-
My mom is in Johnston SC.
Earlier this week highs were in the 80s. Everything is blooming.
This morning, she woke up to snow. Happily it turned to slush after sunrise as the ground was too warm to retain the snow.
The coming days are supposed to be a bit frigid, however, and they figure the peach crop has been lost.
-
Sure enough vixdad was watching Penn & Tellers Bull**** and there was "Doctor" Bruce putting snails on people's faces
-
My college roommate lives in Asheville NC.
There was a lot of snow there this morning, as well, but most of it has melted.
-
Latest forecast is still 12 to 20 inches
Yuck
-
Hi, Debra!
-
Howdy Ronald!
-
When is your retirement date?
-
I do not understand video games.....and all of the time they take away from the people who play them....what is the benefit?
But what if the video game were placed on Earth by Robert Preston, as an alien huckster looking for that last starfighter with the skills to save the universe and Earth itself.
-
Well of course in that case a teenage boy must spend his free time perfecting his Starfighter skills
-
Mee-chigan Wins the Big Ten Championship!!!
Richard and I celebrated with a $100 trip to the grocery store...
-
DR FJL - if only that were so!
-
There are winter storm warnings for the northern part of Indiana - but nothing for us as it heads East to NYC, etc.
-

Awww, it is nice to be missed.
-
I do not understand video games.....and all of the time they take away from the people who play them....what is the benefit?
Keith could give you a long explanation, my short one is they have plots, are interactive, and challenge the intellect. Yes there are many that don't and if that is all a person does, as with most things, it is not healthy.
-
I did accomplish some things today, but i deliberately avoided the ones involving ladders and furniture moving.
Wise decision.
-
Don't pass out because I'm posting on a Sunday.
Happy today, everybody.
Happy Sunday DR Ron.
-

Same here except it is only 61 degrees.
-
Sure enough vixdad was watching Penn & Tellers Bull**** and there was "Doctor" Bruce putting snails on people's faces
I wondered what vixdad was listening to. That scene must have been the funniest bit Bruce did on the show-hysterical.
-
It's 55 degrees here and going to get colder, but not that cold.
-

-
DR Ron does your mother have someone to shovel the snow when needed? I hope you won't be doing it when you move.
-
The downside of our beautiful Sunday were all the people who decided to walk today. We avoided a couple of short stretches as they were rather crowded.
-
As bored as I was ushering today (and with nothing to do but watch other people play for three hours, it can get very boring), I will say this for the gamers: I have never seen a group so accepting of other people. One person (gay? transgender? who cares?) was in a rather bizarre superhero outfit that left the person's butt exposed. I have no idea what their superpowers were, but a number of larger men were having fun posing for photos in hilarious, if somewhat suggestive poses. Very different from my more homophobic generation.
-
Dinner was leftovers of eggplant and tofu stuffed with ground shrimp and pork. Mighty fine.
-
Sir John B is conducting Sibelius' Symphony No. 5 in the background. I should get to work.
-
But I don't wanna.
-
George must be taking his sweet time on that last chapter. It's not THAT long :)
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?

While I like to watch for a few minutes I would find 3 hours of gaming boring.

I was thinking yum until you lost me after "with".

I put up a video on my blog for the title song of a new show I'm working on called "Family Music."
http://music-and-comedy.blogspot.com/2017/03/from-show-im-working-on-called-family.html
The title song, written by my collaborator on the show Marian Weiner, is one of my favorites in the show.
(I think last time I found out that people who had "Flash" on their computer could play these blog videos, but that people who didn't have "Flash" couldn't. So if you could watch last time I posted from this show, you'll be able to watch this one, too, and I hope you will!)

Jian Bing man?
-
Gamers, on the whole, in my experience, do tend to be a very open minded bunch
-
But don't turn up to a d & d game without your character sheet and dice
-
And a pencil
-
There is little tolerance for that sort of behavior

Or even if you CAN play it but would rather hear it on MP3, also.

As promised last night, a shot of the Alamo at night.

And one with the glare of the full moon overhead.

Beautiful songs, Fred.

My tablet also does not have Flash, but I know that my computer does. I'll watch it when I go down to my TV room. I've been up in my bedroom all day watching TV shows recorded on my DVR.

Nice pictures, John.

Nice pictures, John.
Thank you, sir. I could have stayed out on that patio all evening, just drinking in that view.
-
Beautiful pictures John!
-
Beautiful songs, Fred.
Thanks, JohnG! Marian is a really talent writer and I'm so happy to be working with her on this.
-
Excellent pictures, John!
So the Alamo last night and video games today. In 24 hours, you've lived the "Viva Max!" and "Last Starfighter" subject matter.

Watching Moonlight while trying to get some work done. I'd rather watch the movie. Most excellent.
-
Well, I finished Moonlight. Loved it. Loved that whole story of this young man finding his voice. Loved the way the filmmakers just showed how we find love in various forms and how it affects us. The final scene between Chiron and his mother was heartbreaking.
-
DR John, WOW!

Nope, not very long at all...but utterly delightful!

Review posted! (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/review/R2YR6GOLQ54MGP?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl)
-
Excellent review :)
-
Now, where in tarnation IS everyone.
-
What I enjoy about the reviews thus far is that nothing is given away.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Spent the past two hours finishing up a What If I wrote back in the late 1990s that was only half finished. I think it's pretty funny and we'll open the April Kritzerland with it. Awaiting confirmation of our final cast member and thank heavens John Boswell was free to do it.
-
What I enjoy about the reviews thus far is that nothing is given away.
Whew!
-
;)
-
Whew! I made it before midnight.
-
All alone with no one to talk with.
-
I am sure that George must be nearby.
-
The first day of daylight savings time is always so strange.
-
You wouldn't think one hour would make such a difference.
-
Of course, last night I kept waking up every hour on the hour.
-
I finally just got out of bed at 7:30 PDT.
-
I wish we would just stay on DST all year round.
-
I know. I know. Some people hate the whole thing.
-
Just call me weird.
-
But not to my face.
-
I am sure that George must be nearby.
I am here!

I knew you must be near.

One more to go.

I wish we would just stay on DST all year round.
I remember reading an article about time zones and daylight saving time that proposed having only two time zones and eliminating DST all together. Sounds good to me!

I lost George again.

Only two time zones for the whole world?
-
I know that a LOT of articles have been written with many different proposed changes, but that was the one that I kind of remembered.
-
I love the extra hour of sunshine in the summer.
-
In the winter it is always dark anyway.

No...typing a post. I'm on my tablet and typing is slow.

Did you ever watch TIME AFTER TIME?
-
Did you ever watch TIME AFTER TIME?
I watched part of the first episode. Nice male eye candy, but the whole concept just didn't interest me. I loved the movie and really don't think I want to see that kind of a story dragged out over a whole (potential) series. Maybe I'd stick with it if it was just a limited-episode series, but I watch too many shows now to pick up something new that's not super special...to me, at least. :-\
