Well, I got home after work last night, made something to eat, came up to my bedroom, and was about to log onto my tablet and ketchup on HHW when at about 9:15 pm,  my friend Margo called and asked if I wanted to see the 10 pm showing of the new live action Beauty and the Beast.  I said, "sure," so we met at the Capital Mall for the 10 pm showing.  I really enjoyed it.  Certainly, Emma Watson doesn't have a Broadway-caliber voice (and the auto-tune was a little heavy handed), but it was very enjoyable for a very late Tuesday night showing.

I don't know from Auto-Tune and I'm sure it's a million times more prevalent than I can even imagine, but it's disheartening to hear DR George say its presence is so obvious in a major film musical release from the likes of Disney.

Working on Superstar.  It's not that it's difficult, except for a couple of tiny passages -- but the book these people are using, with its annotations for what to play and not play, patches, etc., are a bit ... shall we say ... confounding.

It seems to be that the parts are different for where ever you are in the world.  And then there is the sharing.... I'm not sure what is the legit version anymore.

I'm playing auditions for a local community theatre - where I'm MDing Annie next fall... anyway, I'm a little nervous, I don't know the "new" rep as well as I should.  Mostly because I'm not really fond of much that is new.

We are no longer under alert for flood warnings.  The little bench is back and most of the larger bench as returned.  It is nice to see them again even if we can't walk all the way there.

Much farther along on our walk we can now take the path all the way down to the edge of the water.  I hope by next week all the flooded areas will be back to normal.

Thanks, Vixmom. But I'm fine. This is just the gum grafts I had to make sure I save a couple of teeth. I had one surgery in January and one earlier this month -- different spots in the mouth. It is all healing very nicely.

Watching the second half of The Fantasticks. I don't see what some people hated so much about the movie. It's not great, but the cast is game and it certainly isn't horrible. And I love Tunick's orchestrations.

Uploading some soundtracks into iTunes - I have all the FSM releases and realize that about thirty of them I've never even opened, which is inane.
