Well, you've read the notes, the notes auditioned, and now it is time for you to post until the auditioning cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HYPOZEUXIS!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.
-
First post after BK!
-
First post after TCB!
-
I'm home after seeing the Cornish Institute production of the musical version of Sister Act. Margo's daughter's friend Maizy played Sister Mary Patrick (the Kathy Najimy role) was really good. The rest of the cast was pretty good, too. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!
-
After the show, we went to the McMenamin's on Queen Anne Hill. It was just a couple of blocks from the theater. After eating, we went to her car. We parked on the street and she got a $53 parking ticket! :( We didn't realize that we parked were we shouldn't have. Parking in the parking lot would only have been $15. Live and learn.
-
From yesterday: TCB, my condolences on the loss of your good friend's partner.
-
But congrats on your win at the slots!
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
It's not ask BK day but I have just have to ask....how does one complicate a person?
-
:D
-
vixdad came home just after my last post and we had dinner then watched Fantastic Beasts and where to find them
-
It was a lot of fun
-
But I was so tired I had trouble Keeping my eyes open for the end
-
So after the movie I went to bed
-
Congratulations to TCB and Diane on your wonderful winnings
-
And the word of the day is: HYPOZEUXIS!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.

-

Have a wonderful day all
-
Hi ho hi ho
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR vixmom, I liked "Fantastic Beasts" as well. but I got a little overdosed on Too Much CGI by the end.
-
DR TCB, I am so sorry for your loss.
-
I had one long and wacky dream about The Drama Book Shop last night. There were guest appearances from co-workers from my 1950s office warehouse job. F. Murray Abraham did not put in an appearance.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I just want to sleep. Is that so wrong?
-
So, today is Act Two of "The Golden Apple." The orchestra played well yesterday in Act One, but there's a lot of music in this score. The players were learning the notes and discovering how it fits together. Act Two has all the vaudeville routines that I think inspired much of the Follies numbers.
-
I just want to sleep. Is that so wrong?
Story of my life these days, DR John G! Now that our so-called president gets us closer to nuclear war, the more I want to stay in bed. And die there.
-
!! 2 !!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I need to get a few things done today, but I would just as soon lie around and nap off and on if no one has any objections.
-
This is a free weekend, more or less, while the next three are hugely unfree. I had better take full advantage of it.
-
It was a lot of fun
I thought so, more than Keith did but he still enjoyed it.
-
DR TCB, I wish Nicky had not surprised you during the night while at the same time appreciate a reminder of what I don't miss about having pets. Those night wake up calls are not fun, better the bed though than the carpet.
-
Good auditioner vibes for MR BK.
-
Condolences to the friend of DR TCB......
-
Congrats to DR TCB on his winnings! Very nice.
-
I am still dealing with a problem created entirely by myself, but it is being complicated even more by others......on top of not feeling so well....
SO this is fine kettle of fish for Good Friday.
-
TOD:
Zilch!
Maybe we'll go rent something at RedBox for tonight.
My problem is that, since my surgery, it's difficult for me to watch anything that runs much more than an hour. I tend to nod off.
But, we'll try.
-
Good luck staying awake DR DRUXY and continued healing vibes.
-
Problem solving & get well vibes for DR Jrand
-
Congrats on your winnings, YCB!
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep, probably, maybe a bit more.
-
TOD from yesterday:
It was my own fault really. My hard drive was failing, so I took my computer in to get a new hard drive. The computer guy asked me a couple times if I wanted him to back up my old drive first. I kept saying, no, I have everything saved on a cloud external drive. This was right before my tax returns were due and I hadn't quite completed them yet. So, I get the computer back and guess what? - not only was my current tax return not saved on the cloud, but the last three years of returns weren't saved and Turbo Tax keeps track of the "basis" for my IRA contributions year after year. So, not only did I have to re-do that year's returns, but I had to go back and complete THREE years worth of past tax returns. I wasn't happy.
-
Good Morning on a Good Friday!
-
I shall shortly be on my way to our third day of auditions.
-
Condolences to TCB's friend.
-
A Nightmare DR AMY!
-
Well things are fixed - and all is right with the world.....or as right as it will ever be.....in these here parts.
-
Condolences to TCB's friend.
TCB - condolences from us, too.
-
OUCH Amy!
-
My condolences Tom
-
More vibes for Druxy.
-
Lunch was a delight. It was a burger called Tge Real Big Mac and it featured a smoky patty topped with jalapeņo Mac and cheese with bacon.
-
Good luck staying awake DR DRUXY and continued healing vibes.
I wound up renting LION.
-
Here I sit on a gorgeous day entertaining plumbers who are busy in the master bath replacing a toilet and in the kitchen replacing a garbage disposal and assorted corroded pipes, etc.
Thank goodness I'm renting and not the owner. My landlady will reimburse me.
-
Something not noticed until today: The Rob Stevens Archives. When did this get added to the website?
-
Good luck staying awake DR DRUXY and continued healing vibes.
I wound up renting LION.
Hmm, I wonder if it tired you out to watch.
-
DR Ron how did your test go? When will you get the results?
-
And I am home from today's orchestra reading, That Golden Apple score is sure beautiful! The orchestra is still fighting to read the notes and there's a lot of music, but by the end of the session, some parts of the score, particularly the scene with Penelope's glorious "Windflowewrs," was really sounding fine.
-
Well, I finally did it. What did I do? I cancelled Netflix. I've had it for years, but just never really used it. I just finished watching a (not very good story but great special effects) sci-fi movie called "Skyline (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1564585/reference)," but I've had the disc since the middle of January! That means I paid about $60 to rent this. :P I also have the streaming option, but I mainly watch broadcast TV, so I haven't watched anything that way in quite a while, too. WHAT'S THE POINT?? So, I'm no longer going to do that. :)
-
I took today off from work so that I could run some errands before tonight's final Friday performance of 1984. I'm house managing tonight, so I'll sell concessions and give the curtain speech. I think we're sold out online, so we'll only have 10 tickets to sell at the door. Tomorrow's final performance is about 2/3rds sold out so far, so I don't doubt that it will sell out by then. :D
-
And now, I need to take a shower, get dressed, run some errands, go to my parents' for the weekly family dinner, the go to the theater. It'll definitely be a day!
Be back later!
-
But before I go...Gratuitous Post #66!
For no reason at all. ;)
-
Friday evening greetings! Becky and I had the coffee date today that was cancelled on Wednesday and then we did some shopping together. I went from there to visit Mom, who enjoyed a ride in her wheelchair outside to see the tulips and flowering trees. Came home, ate a late lunch, and took a nap in my recliner.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Condolences to TCB.
-
I'm thrilled, though, to hear about your casino win!
Next time take your winnings and go someplace better to eat.
-
For many years now I've heard DRs tell about their oh-so-colorful dreams. I seldom remember my dreams and I can tell you I feel downright cheated! You have interesting lives even when you're asleep! Well, this morning I had a dream. I was at some sort of art auction (which isn't surprising because yesterday I was thinking I'd like to purchase a small artwork), then went into a back room, when Bill Clinton walked in. We chatted a bit. Why he was in my dream I cannot say. But how interesting to wake up to!
-
I spent the morning working on taxes. I'm almost done, thanks to having done a big chunk last January and another big chunk last month. I'm now doing all the little stuff. I'm sure I spend far more time gathering all the numbers and reviewing them for accuracy than any of my accountants spend preparing my return.
-
I read an article today about how much easier taxes are to do in Japan. The government sends out PREPRINTED FORMS! You just check to make sure they're correct. If not, you go to the tax office and together you sort it out. The government has most of the numbers anyway, so why must we go through so much work? I hadn't realized how much easier it could be.
-
As for DR Amy's tax nightmare, ugh!
My advice: HARD COPY.
-
vixdad came home just after my last post and we had dinner then watched Fantastic Beasts and where to find them
I've been wanting to see it. It released last month, but stoooopid Netflix thinks that it hasn't released it and therefore can't sent it out. Ugh!
-
What shall I be watching? I may return to the Dutch series LORD & MASTER (stupid title, fun show) that I like so much.
-
TTFN.
-
Good evening!
-
Condolences to TCB.
-
Back from today's auditions. Some very good people and now on to callbacks. We did settle on three people today - so that's four of the roles cast now. And I'm happy to say that two of the three we settled on were Robert Yacko and John Massey, two people I've worked with many times and who I'm comfortable with and trust.
-
Well the problems seem to have been solved......or did I say that already?
-
Last of the Brokenwood Mysteries. Someone has killed Santa.
-
Congratulations on dropping Netflix, George. Enjoy the extra cash.
-
Jeanne, have you watched 800 Words? It's an Acorn series.
-
Page three? Really?
-
Went to Good Friday service. It was a candlelight service, which was different, but I love the music. Perhaps my favorite service musically speaking.
-
A second Santa has now turned up dead. Bloody Christmas.
-
Let's say goodbye...!
-
At least to this page.
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?
-
Just finished watching LION.
Good movie, but the 2nd half was rather slow. They could have gotten him back to India a lot quicker.
-
TOD - we just completed our annual viewing of EASTER PARADE.
-
Back to Renoir. Watched a sad, sweet and cynical silent film version of The Little Match Girl and now back to La Marseillaise.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Had some popcorn and ice cream, then a tortilla with one egg. For lunch they brought in Dino's and it was great - limited myself to three of their fairly small slices.
-
Am starting to watch The 10 Commandments: The Musical. Because Val Kilmer IS Moses. And he looks like ate the Golden Calf.
The score is hilariously bad.
-
Good night, all.
-
Well the problems seem to have been solved......or did I say that already?
Good 😊
-
Congratulations on dropping Netflix, George. Enjoy the extra cash.

That is what Keith kept saying.
-
We watched season 2, episode 1 of MISS FISCHER.
-
Good morning, good afternoon and good evening. It's been a long day.
-
Good evening!
-
Thank you for all the condolences for my friend
-
And thank you for all the congratulations on the big winnings!
-
I'm thrilled, though, to hear about your casino win!
Next time take your winnings and go someplace better to eat.
LOL! The best suggestion I have heard in a while.
-
I agree with Jeanne about my dreams. I seldom remember enough about them to repeat them. However, last night I had two totally different dreams that I remember.
-
The first dream seemed extremely timely for today. In the dream I had in my possession a relic from the Titanic (it hit the iceberg on this day 105 years ago). No one knew that I had the relic, but it seemed very important to the entire world that I come forward and show it to the public. Which, of course, I did.
-
I woke up after that dream, and I was convinced that because of the timing that the dream meant something IMPORTANT. Eventually, I decided going back to sleep was more important.
-
In the other dream I went to work at some university. The dream was mostly about my getting adjusted to working at the university. Strangely, most of my new co-workers looked a lot like the people I used to work with at the Welfare office.
-
Okay, they weren't the most exciting dreams, but I did remember them.
-

George, like you, I never got around to watching the DVDs that I was paying for every month. I actually lost one DVD for almost a year. So, I am glad I cancelled that service.
-
However, unlike you, I really enjoy having the Netflix online service. Whenever there is a lull in interesting programs, or during the day when there is nothing on of interest, I switch over to Netflix and I really enjoy it. For me, that money is well spent.
-
Today Sandy and I went to lunch.
-
He seemed to be in good spirits.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
He had a good trip to see his son in New York and to see his cousin in Washington D.C.
-
He admitted that it really wore him out, but he did enjoy it.
-
He is really beginning to show the effects of the disease.
-
He is unable to button his shirts, or to write a check because his hands just don't function like they should.
-
I have to accept the fact that these lunches aren't going to happen too much longer.
-
But for now, we had a very nice visit.
-
I can't help but wonder if the bad effects are as much a result of the chemo than of the disease.
-
He says his cancer numbers are down again, which is a good thing.
-
Well, all I can do is hope and pray.
-
He seemed to be in good spirits.
Nice to hear.
-
My sister finally called today and asked what I was doing for Easter.
-
I told her going to church, and that was it for my plans.
-
More good vibes for Sandy!
-
So, it looks like we will have a family dinner at my sister's house.
-
I voted for barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers since it is supposed to be nice on Sunday.
-
But we will probably end up with ham instead.
-
More good vibes for Sandy!
Thank you, Jane.
-
I suppose tomorrow I better figure out what I'm wearing to church, rather than waiting for the last minute Sunday morning.
