Well, you've read the notes, the notes had formatting, and now it is time for you to post until the formatted cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GRIMALKIN!
-
First post after BK!

Second post after BK!

George, how long will your financial report take?
-
Instead of staying up late to do your report, perhaps you could take a couple hours of leave tomorrow afternoon and come home and do it then.
-
George, how long will your financial report take?
I don't know how long it'll take. It always seems to take longer than it should, but that's because I'm somewhat unorganized. ::)

Well, if I can get all the paperwork together now, I probably can do it in a couple of hours after work. Compiling the paperwork shouldn't take too long. Thanks for the suggestion.
-
Your welcome.
-
Thanks for the warning DR Ron. We won't be staying in Naples. We are continuing on to Sorrento for 5 nights 😊
-
We are walking over to the gate to catch our last flight of the day. It is 10:00AM here and we did not nap on the plane.
-
DR Jennifer I really enjoyed the book, thanks.
-
Have a great trip, Jane!
-
Good night, George.
Good morning, Jane.
-
Good night, Tom.
Hello, Jane. :)
-
Well, I need to be going.
Have a good day, all!
-
Hi George and Tom.

Good morning to all

DR Jane

TOD question: Does leaving your parents' home to go away to grad school as an adult count if you come back for a few years (after finishing school) before totally moving out?
-
I am very sorry to miss the Matt Meet today... I was looking forward to it but due to coworkers much more urgent needs to be out today it was impossible for me to take the day off
-
Plus I will be going in late because I have my 6 month exam with my oncologist this morning
-
I moved out when I was 21, I moved all the way across town...about a mile from my folks..it was more of a house share than an apartment... I had the finished basement where I had my bedroom and livingroom, we shared the laundry whic was in "my" area and we shared the bath and kitchen
-
When I was 29 Vixdad and I got an apartment together, 6 blocks from my folks
-
Then in November 1991 we bought the house we still live in, about a mile from my folks.... I ve been living in the same town since 1966
-
Ok I have to go. Have fun today folks!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I'm all tuckered out after trying to follow vixmom's whirlwind tour of her life! :D
-
For me, let's see, this will have to be the summary version:
1967 - Left home in Fort Lauderdale for school in Cleveland, lived in six places there.
1972 - Moved to L.A., seven places, plus friend's sailboat for several months.
1985 - Moved to Schaumburg, IL, lived in one place.
1986 - Back to L.A., two places.
1989 - Moved to Danbury, living in third place.
Grand total: 20, not including summer vacation spots and such.
-
I must get the ol' bloomin' arse moving and into the city for the get-together.
I'm taking a train that gets me there way in advance of our meetup time, but which keeps me from having to practically run from Grand Central to Ninth Avenue. I can happily kill time moseying around the theater district.
-
TOD:
1. I left home (Seattle) in early November of 1963, 5 months after graduating from college.
2. I rented a single apartment in W. Hollywood on Fountain at Sweetzer. Less than 1 month after I moved in, JFK was shot and, about a month or so after that, actress Karen Kupsinut was murdered less than a block from my building.
3. Since leaving my childhood home, I've lived in 10 different apartments or houses.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm very sleepy. I had a curious dream involving ice skating on a river and some office-editing job in which my co-worker seemed to be at one point my friend Peter Foley and at another time British actor Nicky Henson. When the alarm rang, I dreamed I was taking a bath and talking to my mother from behind the closed door.
-
I will work here until I leave for the 3:00 gathering on Ninth Avenue.
-
Still struggling with the rehearsal schedule and some stupid actors....but that will be the case for the next six weeks....at least the second part.
-
I've been looking at some of the FB comments on the Encores! Golden Apple cast. Oy!
In case you haven't seen the cast, here it is. Mayor Hector is still to be announced:

DR Jane
Buon Viaggio!
Thanks. We are off to explore Sorrento.
-
Good morning
-
I slept late, guess I needed to. I'm off to breakfast and then a jaunt around the park and then back over for the get to together. Looking forward to it.

Tuesday morning greetings! I'm enjoying a slow morning, recovering from our whirlwind Easter trip to Lima and our belated celebration yesterday with Rob and Mary Linda. Tonight Richard and I are going to the Miami campus in Hamilton to hear a lecture about FDR by James Tobin.
-
TOD:
I left home to go to college at UC-Irvine when I graduated high school at age 18. I loved in the dorms for two years and then lived in an on-campus apartment for a year. Being a dance major, I was able to graduate in three years because there wasn't much homework. After graduating college:
1984 - Apartment in West LA with a roommate
1986 - Rent-controlled apartment in Santa Monica with my fiancé
1991 - Single-family home in Thousand Oaks with my husband
1999 - Townhouse in Calabasas by myself after divorce
2003 - Single-family home in Thousand Oaks with Mark
And we're still there 14 years later. I've lived in this house far longer than I've ever lived anywhere else.
-
Too much fresh hell this morning. Things should not be so difficult.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Been listening to Victor Herbert's Canzonetta for Cello and Piano. Lovely way to start the day. Now some Britten cello concertos.
-
I left home at 17 when I went off to college. Except for one summer of summer school in Louisville, I never lived at home again.
-
Journalism used to be like the military. You went where the work was. After Louisville, I lived in Lexington, Ky., Cincinnati and Middletown, Ohio, Catskill, N.Y., Sarasota and Port Charlotte, Fla., and now San Antonio.

Bought some last night, Dr. Ron.

TOD - My parents sold the house I considered home as soon as I graduated from high school in Detroit. They moved to the 'burbs when I left for college and I was in and out of their place for 5 years, but never really considered it "home." I lived in university housing for my 4 undergraduate years, then tried living with Mom & Dad for the first half of my grad school year. That DID NOT work, so I moved into an apartment in Ann Arbor with a former roommate. From there, I moved here to Middletown at age 22 for my first professional library job and lived in 3 different apartments until Richard and I got married. I moved into the house he owned until we bought our current house in 1988. I said then this was my "forever house" and I'd move out feet first.
-
NPR.org is offering a free listen to Groundhog Day all week. A few raves including the NYT for the show. And a few grumbles.
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep I think.
-
I was 18 it was time for me to get out of my parent's house. I moved into a bachelor ap. It was pff of an alley. Fearful I would be raped my father moved me to a better location, and paid for it. Later Keith and I moved 2 buildings down.
-
It is difficult to post on my little iPhone. 'night.
-
Oy! The fresh hell is galloping today. Joshie was just the bearer of Bad Tidings and I am not amused.
-
And now I have to head down to our get-together.
-
Getting amused Vibes for DR Elmore
-
I forgot to mention United did an excellent job getting us to Sorrento

TOD:
I joined the Navy in 1970 when I was 21.
My first apartment was in Vicenza, Italy, from 1973-75.
Next came Voula, Greece (a suburb of Athens) where I had an apartment for five months. It was supposed to be for two years, but the government of Greece asked the U.S. Navy to leave Greece after the Cyprus incident.
I went from there to Naples, Italy, where I had an apartment from 1975-77.
Then, I went to Washington DC where I had an apartment for a year in Arlington, two blocks behind the Iwo Jima Memorial.
From there, I went to Lawrence IN where I lived for 5 years teaching Journalism at the Defense Information School at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
After that, I was assigned to an aircraft carrier out of Alameda CA. I lived on the ship the whole time.
In 1987, I was sent back to Italy where I rented a villa on a lake in Lago Patria, Italia, about 20 miles north of Naples. I left there in 1992 and reported to San Diego where I was on another carrier.
I retired from the Navy on Dec. 31, 1993.
I drove north to Oakland where I shared a very nice apartment with a friend from January 1995 to November 1995. I then moved into my condo in Oakland where I have been ever since.
In September, I will be moving to Johnston SC for the rest of my life.

Bought some last night, Dr. Ron.
I decided to dilute mine and mixed two TBSP in a half-juice glass of water.

DR Vixmom I hope it went well at the oncologist.

I doubt I remember all of the places I've lived. At least five in Lexington alone and four or five in Catskills.

Vibes for Elmore.
-
I'm loving people's stories of where they've lived.
-
DR Jennifer I really enjoyed the book, thanks.
I'm not sure if you saw my other post. But the book I read recently was actually I See You by Clare Mackintosh. I read I Let You Go last year.
-
Back from a Costco run.
-
Oy! The fresh hell is galloping today. Joshie was just the bearer of Bad Tidings and I am not amused.
Oh, no! :-\
-
One last return before the end of tax season! (but it's an easy one)
-
It was great meeting Matthew, and as always seeing Larry and Chas. A lovely mini-HHW-get-together!
-
I am making a small batch of Wacky Noodles. I've done some more work on the script - it's very difficult rearranging everything into what will be a cohesive and exciting show open and number, but I keep on.
-
I have two movies to watch, so I'll probably watch the third episode of OJ and then take a break and watch one of the movies.
-
It was great meeting Matthew, and as always seeing Larry and Chas. A lovely mini-HHW-get-together!
Thank you, DR FJL, for planning the event. We forgot to document it with a photo!
-
I spoke to Randy: back surgery, depending on the insurance response, in 2-3 weeks. I'm looking at a possible trip in five.
-
It was lovely to see DRs ChasSmith, Matthew, and FJL today.

Be back later.

Boy, did we ever!
-
We split up at what, a few minutes after five? And I caught the 5:49 train which is a straight-through for me, and got some nice reading done.
-
The get-together was great, and DR Matthew needs to get himself to the right coast a little more often.
-
I received a thorough checkup and an "all clear" from my beloved oncologist Dr Ames
-
Thank you for the vibes
-
And that is always wonderful news!
-

Hoo and ray!

Watching the second of the Mrs. Bradley Mysteries. The 1930s music is wonderful. So is droll Diana Rigg.

Great news, vixmom!

What a swell party it was! (or at least a swell mini-get-together)

Good night, all.

I missed your post. Should I also read "I See You"? I don't have wifi right now to look it up easily.

Great news, Vixmom!
-
Thanks Vixmom.
-
I woke up at 2:00 and couldn't fall back to sleep. I hope to catch up tonight. We are planning a lazy day exploring.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Finished the OJ documentary and am listening to some Shostakovich just because I can and because they used some of Symphony 11 in the OJ documentary.
-
Good evening!
-
Page 4? Really?
-
I did not do much of anything today.
-
This was a work on my book afternoon.
-
I got over my writer's block that I had been on for several weeks.
-
I am now back on track.
-
So, that is a relief.
-
I like where the book is going right now.
-
I have to decide whether or not to let one bit of information out now, or hold on to it.
-
I will write it one way tomorrow, and then see if I need to change it.
-
I guess we had thunder and lightening, plus hail, today around Tacoma, but we had nothing around my neighborhood.
-
My big road trip was to pick up a prescription.
-
I got over my writer's block that I had been on for several weeks.
That's great, Tom!
-
Then I picked up fast food for dinner.
-
One more post.

-
I need to change computers.
-
I need to change computers.
And I need to restart my computer.
-
And use the bathroom.
-
I shall return.
-
I have returned, and no one missed me.
-
How was your meeting, George?
-
Did you have your report ready?
-
My iPad didn't charge up last night.
-
I guess I didn't get it plugged in properly.
-
I hope it is charging now.
-
Tomorrow is the old actor's lunch.
-
We are going to The Ram on the waterfront.
-
That is probably our most frequent choice.
-
It has a wide-section of choices for lunch.
-
And it has our favorite waitress.
-
How was your meeting, George?
Did you have your report ready?
I was able to get it done in time, thanks. I went to bed pretty late, but I didn't have to leave work early to finish it. :)
-
And it has our favorite waitress.
That can be an important deciding factor. :D

I am now back on track.

Good day, Jane!
