Title: COMPRESSION

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no dynamics and were compressed, and now it is time for you to post until the compressed cows come home.

Last evening after the ushering, my friend Margo (who also ushered) and I went to  McMenamins The Spar (https://www.mcmenamins.com/spar-cafe/menus-specials/).  I had their The 19th Hole sandwich: grilled turkey, bacon, white cheddar, avocado, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato & red onion on a roll $16.25.

The 19th Hole sandwich was good, but VERY filling.  We got our food at about 5:45 pm, and I'm STILL not even remotely hungry!  I should've taken half of it home for later...but I didn't. ::)

Zip! That Stokowski  leads the greatest of bands.
Zip!  Jergens Lotion does the trick for his hands.

I think that I once read that Stokowski was very superstitious about his hands and wore white gloves at all times....and at one time was convinced they were made of glass......

Fries or tater tots (I chose the tater tots), or for an extra dollar, a side salad or soup.

Tater tots have certainly enjoyed a resurgence in the last five years or so.

We watched the movie MAX last night, which is about a war dog who is adopted by its late handler's family.

I have never seen a better trained dog in a film.  Aside from doing all the running, jumping and other required tricks, you could read the various emotions on this PTS-suffering dog's face.  Truly amazing.

I splurged today and paid the outrageous cost of having my hair done on the ship.  My shoulder is happy and they make my hair look better than when I do it.  The ships alll have European trained hairdressers and European sinks that are designed better than ours are.

Jane, I once availed myself of the salon on a cruise ship. I'd seen my regular hairdresser a few days before and told him I was going on vacation and to cut my hair a tad shorter than usual. As so often happens, he didn't. A few days into the cruise my hair was just too long! I booked an appointment and went in. A very nice, young, Scottish woman, maybe six months out of beauty school, listened and understood. In those days I'd often get a dry trim on just the top between full cuts. She did exactly that and it worked perfectly. Relief!

I agree with you about European industrial design. The Europeans are often far ahead of us. More open-minded perhaps? They're more open to modern art, as well.

I am always pleased with my hair when I have it done on a cruise.  I should have taken a photo tonight to show my hairdresser how I like it styled.  Hopefully it will last several days.  I know what you mean about wanting  it short enough to last the trip.  I insisted my hairdresser take more off of my bangs.  When we were in South America I had to have them cut on the cruise.  They started too short this time put should not be in my eyes by the time we return home.

I spent the day at a swim meet for my 7 year old niece. IT was the semi finals, but very stressful because they changed the rules this year. No B finals only the top 8 kids go to the finals.

It was horribly hot and very uncomfortable. And there were not enough seats. So I had to sit there while tons of people tried to squish into the staircases. You cannot even imagine how many people wanted to sit in front of my feet. Sorry but that is not a seat and I really did not want someone sitting on my feet. Finally they made everyone sitting in front of people get up (said it was a fire hazard).

He showed me a copy of this huge new Taschen book on Disney Animated films - amazing.  I immediately, while I was sitting there, went on Amazon to get me a copy of it because when these Taschen books sell out, which they always do, these things go WAY up in price.  The list price is two hundred dollars, but I'm going to do you all the favor of letting you know (and act quickly) that it's currently available at 69% off at sixty-one bucks.  These little one-off sales usually don't last more than a few hours or a day or two at most.

I just confirmed the 2017 NYMF show Backbeard for NYMF, July 31-August 6!
http://www.nymf.org/festival/2017-events/backbeard/

Should we  plan to attend?

It' a very funny children's musical based on two really silly books,  The music is a lot of fun, and the pirates act like naughty 10 year-old boys.

That  is great.  May you enjoy this project!

Back from an absolutely wonderful three-hour visit with Richard.  He's off the walker, getting around fine, looks great, and we just had the best time.

Great news!

Today was a long one.  Thank goodness the Chaperone show is over.  Don't get me wrong, I do love that show, but under better circumstances.  But alas, it's over.  I had dinner with my pal Sabrina and her husband, Alan. We ate, took a walk, had dessert and I was on my merry way home to the DD's.

I have some laundry in the washer, but I think I just need to head to bed.  I've take myself off coffee for the past few days so I'm tired earlier.
