Well, you've read the notes, the notes were cast, and now it is time for you to post until the cast cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COMESTIBLE!
-
Yesterday we were at 180,000 in the Amazon sales rank but we obviously sold another book because now we're at Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #119,333 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)
-
First post after BK!
-
Thank you, BK, for answering my question about the shows you are doing.
-
Third post after BK!
-
Hello, I must be going!
Good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I need to be going to sleep, too. I have to get up a little earlier for my eye appointment.
Have a good day, all!
-
First in the East Coast!
-
Or is it first on the East coast?
-
Going to be a crazy day in NYC, with the President's visit!
-
Off to a Pre OP appt.
-
Hugs for DR LAURA....
-
Casting vibes for MR BK.
I of course have played Tony Wendice in Dial M for Murder - but am unable at this time to motor to the coast.

RE: BETTE & JOAN
I think that the 2 lead actresses were terrific in their roles.
Yes, the series might have been more effective with less episodes, some of the writing could have been better, and certainly dramatic license was taken with the facts, but overall, we enjoyed it. It was fun.
-
T.O.D.
Although I admire both Sarandon and Lange for their talent, off the top of my head, I can't think of one picture that either of them has made that I "love".
Maybe FRANCES for Lange, but I certainly don't "love" it.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very well. I had a weird dream that I was working on a show connected with a loony evangelical church. They were attempting to "save" a member who had beaten a young lady to death. God knows where that came from. Before that I had a dream about changing apartments in Oxford, OH, when I was a student.
-
I need to freeze those Ohio travel dates today and purchase a new ticket. I wish the outrageous rates for changing flights would be addressed by Congress as well as shitty customer service.
-
Good morning, all.
From home. HOME. Isn't that a wonderful thing?
-
A string of weird dreams here, too, starting off with one based on yesterday's train station and fading out on one about a meal of exquisite breakfast meats in a fascinating old eating establishment.
-
The day is mine and it will largely be spent on that best worst show. I have a meeting with the director this evening and I need to get this thing back into my ears, fingers, and general mindset.
-
I just dialed 'D' for donut.
-
Blueberry glazed.
The donuts from this place are very fancy and very rich.

Here's some practical advice for anyone planning a flight in these turbulent times:

At 11:00 I have a meeting on Theatre Row about the NYMF Backbeard. I will see several friends from the now-dead New York State Theatre Institute for the first time since 2002.
-
I have my Guys & Dolls work lined up for the weekend. we are very close to finish now. Next week, Joshie and I can begin thinking about Rob's 92nd Street Y show on Lerner & Loewe.
-
And tomorrow? The sitzprobe for The Golden Apple! I'm very excited about this.
Is anyone coming to see this next weekend?
-
!! 2 !!
-
Vixmom and I will both be at the Saturday matinee.
I regret that I haven't had time to sit down and learn the show to any degree, but I look forward to it nonetheless.
-
Good morning.
-
We hit 100 degrees for the first time this season.
-
Today is the church women's salad luncheon. Not really in the mood, but it will keep me busy. I drew set-up and clean-up duty.
-

Shall I meet you after the talkback?
-
DR Laura, I expected DR Kerry would remember you. May your gifts give you comortgage and good memories.
-
Thanks DR Jeanne.
-
DR George, it is either June or October that WA residents need an acceptable license. I think it is plenty of time to inform people who prefer not to return to the DMV, as we need to do, to purchase a new license in order to fly.
-
Today, on the top of The Rock of Gibraltar, we purchased a key chain ;)
-
I have only seen unexciting book marks on this trip.

Yes!

We were visiting the "apes" of Gibraltar today, apes in quotes as they really are monkeys, when one became too interested in me and began approaching rapidly. I saw his fixed expression before he began moving and quickly backed up. Keith, always my hero, moved in front of me. I wondered if it was a combination of the cap I was wearing, sunglasses, and the hood over my head to keep warm. Our tour guide grabbed the plastic bag in my hand and rolled it up, seems they really like plastic bags 😃
-
Good Morning
-
I had a 7:15am meeting this morning. This is going to be a long day.
-
Thursday morning greetings! Just popping in for a quick HI and BYE before my noon appointment with Tina for a perm and haircut. I'm still not feeling great, but my doctor said it's "just allergies" and put me on Claritin. We'll see...
-
Thanks to all who sent congrats for our new great-niece!
-
Home from the Acord Theatre, which is where, I believe, we presented The Brain from Planet X in 2007. It was nice to see my friends from the now-dead NYSTI. They all seem to be busy with children's theatre productions in the Troy-Albany area, so that made me very happy.
-
My plan today and Saturday is to listen to the recording of Backbeard with the score and make notes about the scoring. I've got a reed (piccolo, flute, clarinet), a violin, piano, keyboard, which will play bass and patches like accordion or solo cello or second reed), and frums.
-
47 years ago today, the Kent State shootings occurred. I rememebr exactly where I was when I heard the news.
-
Oh man. So do I.
Sitting in the rooming house I lived in at school that year, hearing radio and TV reports.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep.
-

I was working on costumes for the Miami U production of Once Upon A Mattress. The next day, Miami University shut down for a week in fear of more riots on the campus.

Today, between the Healthcare Bill and Tramp's "religious freedom" executive order, this is one lousy day of nothing but lousy days for the past 100. If you voted for Donald Trump, you are no friend of mine.

Trying to listen to Dear Evan Hansen while working. Don't care for a single song so far. But it's not as bad as Waitress.
-
Let's move on.
-
Three!
-
Hi, John!
-
Well, I need to be going to sleep, too. I have to get up a little earlier for my eye appointment.
Have a good day, all!
I had my eye exam. My eyes were dilated and it's all blurry. :P But I picked out my new glasses. I won't get them for a week to 10 days, but here are a couple of pictures that the optometrist assistant took for me.
-
First...in this one, my eyes were closed:

And in this one, there's glare, but you still get a sense of what they'll look like:

Cool! Thanks! :D

That reminds me that I really haven't listened to Waitress all the way through. I liked the EP that Sara Bareilles put out before the show CD, though.
-
DR George, I like your new glasses.
-
Nice glasses.
Thanks DR GEORGE. It went okay, but I am getting a bit overwhelmed with all the information they are giving me and all of the papers, etc....just going a day at a time.
One more appt. tomorrow and then nothing until surgery on Monday....well nothing except all the prep I have to do.
-
Coping and pre-open vibes DR Jrand.
-
DR George, I like your new glasses.
Thanks, Jane! I can't wait to get the real things!
-
Nice glasses.
Thanks, Jrand!
-
Yes, Dear Evan Hanson - I just don't get it. The songs are so nothing, and sound like every single other musical theater composer/lyricist of today, where songs are song AT you rather than coming from inside of someone. And I'm just so bored of the open fourth chords - get over it already.
-
Had a pastrami sandwich for lunch - no fries or onion rings this day. Also picked up no packages.
-
Hi, John!
Hi, George!
-
Great glasses.

The predicted thunder storms rolled through here about a half hour ago.

I didn't see any lightening, but heard a few distant thunder claps.

One more post.

Hello, George.

Topic of the Day (in alphabetical order):
Jessica Lange (I think these are the only movies of hers that I've seen):
Titus
Tootsie
Susan Sarandon:
Cradle Will Rock
Enchanted
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Thelma & Louise
The Witches of Eastwick
June Moon (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0155781/reference) (TV production - co-starring Stephen Sondheim, himself!)
-

I saw some flashes, but not actual lightning. I was in my car and it caused some static on my radio. :-\

Wow! It's thundering and lightning down here in Tumwater! That's such a rare occurrence! All of a sudden, it just started raining, too! :o

That's too bad.
The show was too generic. It had no individuality. And none of the charm of the movie.
-
Very nice!
Thanks, Vixmom!
-
Nice glasses, George.
Thanks, Tom!
-
Back from a delightful "Cobb" sort of Mexican salad and an IPA and an iced tea and a coffee, all of it accompanying a delightful conversation.
-
Vixmom, we will meet DR Elmore after the show in the "audience right" corridor downstairs where we all stood around for a while last time...whereupon we can opt to go out for a bite somewhere.
-
Wow! We just had a huge storm blast through here. It must have been what George reported earlier. Thunder, lightening, torrential rain, and high winds.
-
But it ended as quickly as it started.
-
My cable went out for a bit, but the lights stayed on.
-
I am leaving soon to go see my friend, Sharry, in a play entitled EXIT LAUGHING.
-
Not exactly a Tony winner, but apparently a crowd-pleaser.
-
I may get home before the West coast clock strikes twelve.

One more day of rain tomorrow and flash flood warnings.....lovely.
-
Wow! We just had a huge storm blast through here. It must have been what George reported earlier. Thunder, lightening, torrential rain, and high winds.
A co-worker said that she got a weather notice that there was quarter-sized hail in Rochester! It's about 15 miles south of Tumwater. We didn't get any hail here.

PAGE FIVE HAIL DANCE!!

I have to warn you that I was asked this afternoon to meet Jerome Moross' grandchldren after the matinee by his daughter, so this will add to your wait for me. i'm sorry.

I just finished some invoicing that needs to be paid by the business office tomorrow, so now I can go home!
Be back later.

Finding TONY vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
Hi Laura
Would you be willing to post pictures of Kerry's paintings? I had no idea he painted
Please. I'd like to see them, too.
-
I'm really liking Emily Bronte in this series "To Walk Invisible." But, then again, I always liked "Wuthering Heights" best of the Bronte books. Then it's a tossup of Charlotte's "Jane Eyre" and Anne's "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall."
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Hello Jeanne
-
Nice frames, George. The colored part looks like it's a muted dark blue. Is that right?
-
Is your vision insurance with EyeMed, Vision Source, or something similar?
-
Hi, Vixmom. I didn't know you were here.
-
Hi Laura
Would you be willing to post pictures of Kerry's paintings? I had no idea he painted
Please. I'd like to see them, too.
I was thinking the same thing. Until Lyn mentioned it in the orbit I didn't know that Kerry painted.
-
Jrand, I am sending you early vibes for your pre-ops and especially your surgery. Do you know how long you'll be in the hospital?
-
The day is mine...
Glorious words! I never expected to be so pleased to have a day to myself!
-
Hello, 0 guests!
-
What's your favorite Bronte novel?
-
I'm listening to Anne's Agnes Grey now. Another governess novel, but not in the same league as Jane Eyre.
-
I spy DRs Jeanne and Vixmom. Good evening, both of you!
-
Howdy John!
-
I should get me to bed
-
Pre op vibes. To JRand

Health vibes to everyone
-
Good night
-
Hi, John.
Sorry I'm not more sociable. I didn't sleep well last night and am reeeeeaally tired.

Health vibes to all.
Good night.

And more vibes for JRand!
-
I should go to bed, too. But I can't stop watching these Bronte sisters.
-
And so close to a new page ...
-
Six!
-
Finished with my viewing - the final episode of Feud, I felt, was its worst.
-
Good evening!
-
I am home from seeing EXIT LAUGHING.
-
At times it is a hysterically funny evening of theater, but once you stop laughing you realize how thin the material really is.
-
Someone else described it as a two hour episode of GOLDEN GIRLS.
-
Bottom line: The audience loved it.
-
Hello, 0 Guests.
-
Chocolate or vanilla ice cream?
-
Nice frames, George. The colored part looks like it's a muted dark blue. Is that right?
Thanks, Jeanne! It's more like a really dark gray, but not dark enough to be black.
-
DR George, I like your new glasses.
Thanks, Jane! I can't wait to get the real things!
I know the feeling.
-
Is your vision insurance with EyeMed, Vision Source, or something similar?
We have a couple of options: Vision Service Plan and Group Health...actually, GH was just bought by Kaiser Permanente, but the benefits haven't changed.

Oh, my goodness! :o

They said that was around 4:55. That must have been the same cell that hit my house at around 5:30.

At my place it was like someone pointed a fire hose directly at my bedroom windows.
