Well, you've read the notes, the notes were neither minced, sliced, or diced, and now it is time for you to post until the minced cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: IMPRIMATUR!
-
First post after BK!
-
First post after TCB!

From yesterday:
What theater company is doing PRESENT LAUGHTER?
Harlequin Productions (https://harlequinproductions.org). They're a professional company and have hired Equity actors in the past.

Gabe isn't Equity, is he?

I don't think so. I don't know who in this cast (if any) might be Equity.
-
Actually, I'm sure he's not. He's worked with TAO and we don't pay anyone.
-
I think I need to turn in for the night. Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
DR TCB, I went back to see what Sharry was in, Present vs Exit, no wonder I was confused. I am glad you are feeling better.
-
Congrats to Jane on quite a posting milestone!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am bathed and dressed but I am not motivated in the least. I would have been happy lying in bed all day and doing nothing, but I must go in to City Center for the matinee, listen to the talkback, and then meet a lot of people. I am looking forward to that, but at the moment, I'd prefer to still be in bed.

My blood sugar has dropped from 183 yesterday morning to 165 today. My goal is 125.
-
I do look forward to seeing DR vixmom and E&T DR Ben today, I hope they enjoy the show,

Keep up the good work.

Saturday morning greetings! I was E & T all day yesterday because my friend Sharon and I went to the Taft Museum in Cincinnati to see their special exhibit "Bijoux Parisiens: French Jewelry from the Petit Palais, Paris." We went to lunch afterwards to commiserate about our mothers. I got home about 4pm, promptly fell asleep in my recliner for a couple of hours, and then Richard and I had a pizza and movie night. We watched SING, which was cute but a little too long.
-
This afternoon Becky and I are going to this Tea & Art (http://500eaststreet.com/2017_retreats/may-13-motherss-day-saturday/) event. Shelly, the owner of The Barn, is a young friend who lives here in Middletown.

Good morning all. Hope everyone is feeling good and having a wonder filled day.
I confess I'm a little nervous about going this afternoon. I'm always good about wanting to do these things right up to the moment that it's time to do them. I know I need to get out and meet new people but this is a real first because except for talking to these people at the Faire over a month ago and a time or two on Facebook, I don't really know them. I'm telling myself to put my best foot forward and hope I make a whole new set of friends. :)

Wow that is high. I get just as bad. My all time high was well over 200. I don't check my sugar like I should. In fact, I can't remember the last time I did check it. I know I should do it every day, several times a day but I would get so upset that it was always high, I just don't bother. I know when I've hit critical mass by the way I feel and as long as I feel ok, I don't feel the need.
-
DR Danise, I haven't had a chance to welcome you back! It's so nice to see you here. Have fun this afternoon!
-
It's time to head to City Center.
-
DR Danise when I find it stressful to meet new people and go to new activities, and I have had to do that too often with all of our moves, I just remind myself it is worth going even if I don't make a connection this time.
-
My fitbit wouldn't work yesterday. Today, with a bit of research, I found out how to jump start it, thing is I don't feel like hobbling my knee out is the rain again today. At least it held up until our return.
-

. Thank you DR Ginny. I have missed you all. :)

I don't know why I'm nervous. I flew all the way to NYC and didn't know a soul except from this board-but I had never met any of you in person. I'll never forget that first trip when I met DR Elmore for dinner. These people are supposed to be knights but I already met one. :)
And look how many friends I made when we all met for BK's book reading and the Eat Our Way Though New York tour. Was that the bee's knees or what?
It's going to be ok. I just haven't done this in awhile.
Well, I gotta go get dressed. I've changed my mind about what I'm going to wear about 4 times now. Sigh.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Continued health vibes to all.
-
Glad TCB is feeling better.
-
Good morning.
-
I seldom recall my dreams, but I had a dream this morning, just before waking, about my dad going into a nursing home. As soon as I woke up I realized that tomorrow is the anniversary of his passing. sigh. It doesn't usually hit me this hard. I think sometimes we just need to take time to feel the sadness. It'll be a quiet day.
-
Hi, Laura.
-
BBL.
-
Good morning and afternoon, all.
-
What a chilly wet day it is. I've spent the morning shamelessly basking in warmth and thanking my lucky stars that I'm not out there myself.
According to my clock, The Golden Apple has just begun. I trust DRs vixmom and Elmore and Ben are being swept up in some beautiful music as we speak.
-
As much as I would have loved it, I made the right decision in staying home and getting well. I'm up and feeling better for the first time in the past week -- but for now, being "up" means I've made my way to the recliner.
-
My blood sugar has dropped from 183 yesterday morning to 165 today. My goal is 125.
Congratulations on such a great start, DR Elmore!
-
I'm up, I'm up - damn alarm didn't go off so I'm very late and must leave in ten minutes to get where I'm going on time.
-

So is mine.
-
Suffering an allergy attack today. Ugh. Nose is a faucet.
-
Watching the Criterion edition of Multiple Maniacs. Somehow, Criterion and John Waters are an odd combination, IMO. But the movie looks great in all its blasphemous-ness.

Be gentle with yourself DR Jeanne.

That's great, Larry!

Larry, you've made excellent progress! You should be very pleased.

I just got off the phone with Paypal. My Paypal account number is embedded in a website I often use. When I tried to make a charge last week, it wouldn't take it, but the site was having lots of problems and I attributed it to that. Today I was told that Paypal wouldn't authorize the charge. I checked my account online, then phoned. I learned that a merchant reported suspicious activity on my card last month, Paypal then closed the account, and mailed me a new card. But not only did I not receive the new card, I had neither email nor letter letting me know what happened. I am not impressed. I have other gripes with Paypal as well and may just close the new account.
-
It would be easier to get over my jet lag if is wasn't so damp and wet here. I cannot afford to have a cold right now. I think a full Benadryl is called for tonight.
-
DR Jeanne I am shocked that Paypal did not contact you. I hope they have canceled the missing card even if you never activated it.
-
HA!
I have returned home - much the worse for wear. My surgery turned out to be much more serious and complicated than first thought. I was under the knife for almost 5 hours.....I know have a colostomy bag and half a colon.
They think they got most of the cancer, but I will have both chemo and radiation after I am built up for about six weeks. We shall see.
I will be around....not much.....but around. Thanks for all the vibes that I am sure are posted in the replies I haven't read.....I shall heed them at once.
-
Well, I've been lazing at home having done nothing that I should've done (laundry, showering), but now I need to get going. I'm first going to my parents' house to finish off the spaghetti that my mom made for yesterday's family dinner because she doesn't think that it should be frozen again. She made a lot of it, then froze it for yesterday, and this is what's left of the unfrozen batch. Then, I'm ushering again tonight (http://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/the-center-salon/).
Be back later!

I was sorry to hear about the ransomware attacks in the UK and other countries. I will say that I am not aware of a single company that really takes this seriously and has measures in place to counter it. Unfortunately, it falls into the "it may never happen" category for many people.
I'll get off my soapbox now.
-

They say that they have. Yes, I was quite miffed.

DR JRand66, I am so happy to hear from you. Sadly, there's good news and bad news here, and I hope that we on HHW and your Hoosier friends can help you make the bad new better. I send you prayers and good vibes every day, and I strogly believe that your good spirits, good humor, and positive attitude will help you through this.
-
Hope you're feeling 100% very soon, DR Chas.
-
As you can tell, I am home from a good matinee performance, saying howdy to many friends, and having a lovely dinner with DR vixmom, E&T DR Ben, and my friend Joe.
-
DR Jrand we have all been very worried about you and are glad you could post, just wish the news was much better. Rest, heal, and build up your strength for a successful treatment.
-
Good-night's-sleep vibes to DR Jane.
Thank you. I hope the drug helps me sleep and knocks out my pre-cold congestion.

Every kind of good wish, vibe, whatever it takes for you be well again, DR JRand66. My thoughts and prayers are with you!
-
I don't know why I was so worried. I met some very nice people and had a lovey time.
-
Jrand - sending love and wishes and prayers for life to get back as close to normal as is possible.
-
Glad Jrand is back among us and hope he'll be here more often than not, because this is a nice, healing place. Five hours in surgery is a long time, but hopefully they got everything and all will be well. As to Half a Colon - one of my favorite musicals.

:) :) :)

Oh my goodness, Jack, I had no idea. Prayers and Vibes to you my dear, for a fast recovery. My au that the same thing 30 years ago when she was 60. She'll be 90 next month.
Love and Hugs to you.
HHW is a wonderful place for recovery .

I made it on time to the reading of the first act of a new musical. Because I know all the writers I've heard about all the ins and outs and have been following its progress. The fact that it's taken over a year to do the first act should either have produced something much better than what was on view, or they all need some serious guidance. This is based on a film that was a critical hit back in the 80s (didn't exactly set the box-office on fire, but critics really liked it), but it doesn't really seem to have a need to sing, if you get my meaning, so the songs never come organically. They have a lot to rethink - whether they will or not is anyone's guess.
-
Oh I am home after a lovely performance of The Golden Apple and a nice dinner and chat with Long lost Ben, DR Elmire and his very nice friend Joe
-
According to fitbit, so far today I have hobbled 21,500 steps and walked 8.84 miles. I think I shall go ice my knee.
-
It has been raining here all day It took me nearly 3 hours to,get to the parking lot today. I got to the theatre and was sitting down as the lights were going down
-
It "only" took a little over 2 hours to get home
-
I am glad today was a success for you Danise
-
Page three? Really?
-
Was going to watch Rogue One tonight, but I'm thinking maybe I'll just play on the computer and relax whilst listening to music. I could finish The Loved One, too, but some nights are for movies, and some are for music. Plus I may do another page or two on the Sherman Brothers musical.
-
Had a good meeting with Kay Cole, and then had some chicken soup and a small personal pepperoni pizza.
-
And still we're on page three.
-
Jane is off icing her knee because she walked twelve million steps on fitbit and a total of 800 miles.
-
I walked no step on Fitbit, simply because I don't have such a thing. I mean, I have steps but not a Fitbit. I believe I've walked a total of thirty-nine steps today.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I think I hear an echo in here.
-
Mega vibes and prayers for JRand.
-
The extras on Multiple Maniacs, especially the interviews with the actors, are as good as, maybe better than, the movie itself.
-
The man who built the 15-foot lobster that rapes Divine talks about how John Waters gave him a postcard with a lobster on it as his guide. He painted it bright red to match. Years later, he's glad the movie was filmed in black and white because, "Who gets raped by a boiled lobster?"
-
Went to a bourbon launch party tonight. Fun. They had gold-leaf, chocolate-dipped bourbon-marinated bacon as a dessert.
-
Too bad my nose dripped so badly.
-
Four!
-
Page four! Really?
-
I need some sleep.
-
That means Benedryl.
-
Who knows when I'll wake up.
-
So, good night, all.
-
Page four? Really?

Good night all

Almost finished with the Kondrashin Shostakovich set - really wonderful performances, some of which sound great and some of which are marred by distortion and dropouts - great to have this and now onto the other set - all the symphonies conducted by various Russian conductors - there are a couple of the Kondrashin recordings repeated here, but I'm curious to see if the mastering on them has improved anything.
-
Good evening!
-
Happy Mother's Day Eve.
-
I invented a new holiday.
-
Jrand, prayers and positive vibes to you for a full recovery. I worry about you, my twin brother!
-
DR Danise, I am proud of you for swallowing your fears and going to meet these new people. I am glad it was a good experience.
-
And, DR Danise, I am so glad that you have come back to us!
-
It is very hard to type tonight because Nicky is cuddled up with me.
-
He doesn't like to be disturbed.
-
Today was a "work on the book" Saturday.
-
Usually, I only work on the book on weekdays, and take the weekends off.
-
I don't know know why, that's just the way I roll.
-
I'm mighty tired. Listening to the new box set - I will, of course, skip the Kondrashin material as it's all duplicated - I checked out a couple to see if sound was improved, but I think they cleverly used the ones with the best sound, not the sketchy ones.
-
I hope that event George was ushering tonight was more interesting than its explanation.
-

I thought you were listening to the Kardashian Shostakovich collection.
-
Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
And once again, I scared our Guest away.
-
My nose is running tonight.
-
But the rest of me feels okay......
-
except for my back, and my hip, and my knee.
