Well, you've read the notes, the notes were for mothers everywhere, and now it is time for you to post until the mother cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ROSARIAN!
-
First post after BK!
-
A very Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers on this site.
-
I just finished playing my 1,040 game of Gin Rummy.
-
Of those 1040 games, I won 1010.
-
Perhaps I am now ready to do THE GIN GAME.
-
Good night.
-
I'm home and have been for about 45 minutes.
-
The Salon for which I ushered last night was very well attended. They had enough cabaret tables and long tables for about 130 people, and most were filled. The evening was about artists and their art forms: writers, poets, an animator, a cellist, and a couple of songs from an original educational musical about water conservation. It was all very interesting and quite enjoyable.
-
Now, I'm watching last night's Saturday Night Live with 5-time guest host, Melissa McCarthy. It was broadcast live across the US at 8:35 pm (not tape delayed for the left coast), and then rebroadcast at 11:35 pm.

A Very Happy Mother's Day to All the Mothers and Mothers-by-Proxy!!
-
Well, I need to get to bed. My sister and I are meeting at our parents' house at 10 am to give our mom a hanging plant for Mother's Day. She loves gardening, so my sister is sure that mom will like this. I hope she does!
-
Have a great day, everyone!
-
Of those 1040 games, I won 1010.
"1040 games" sound somewhat tax-related. is it?
-
BK - were the authors of the reading keeping the reading quiet?
-
Good morning! Happy Mum's Day to all the Mother's! I miss mine-Can you believe it has been 10 years this month that she passed?
Congrats to DR TCB on his wins!
Vibes and prayers for DR Jrand and all who need them.
-
I now have 2 new friends on Facebook because of yesterday. :)
The Order sounds interesting. I would like to be of service to the community. I taught myself how to loom knit so I can make hats and would love to give them to a family in need with a baby or to the cancer patients. I can also make lap blankets and shawls and Lord knows I have the typical knitters hoard of yarn I could use.
Anyway, I still want to learn more before I commit to anything but I think it is a good start.
-
Ya know, I need to change that picture. I haven't had long hair that color for years. I'm afraid I'm mostly grey now.
-
I am, however, considering growing my hair to a longer length.
-
Everyone have a wonder filled day!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I feel lazy, but I have a long day ahead.
-
I have some work on the P/C of Guys & Dolls before I head back down to City Center.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Well, the cold has pretty much left the building.
-
I wish I could say the same about
(wait for it)
AUDITIONS.
-
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for auditions for that best worst show. Tonight and next Sunday night.
-
I need to get my fingers back into shape, for that and a few other things coming up this week.
So that stuff is pretty much what my day will consist of.
-
A very happy Mother's Day, to all those of the motherly persuasion!
-
Happy Mother's Day!
-
Page 2!
-
Lots of vibes for JRand.
-
Sunday morning greetings! It's a quiet Mother's Day here. Rob surprised me with flowers and chocolates and Richard gave me a lovely sparkly card. I will, of course, visit my own mother this afternoon. Mary Linda is in Michigan with her mother, but will be back in time for the 4 of us to go to dinner tomorrow. We never go out to eat on the very day - too crowded.
-
Glad to see that DR JRand has returned to us. Vibes to you and, remember, HHW is a great place to convalesce!
-
good morning to all
-
DR Danise, I'm glad yesterday was a positive experience for you. I was in a similar situation, needing to make some friends, when I became involved in community theatre here in Middletown. That's where I met DR Elmore, along with many other lovely people.
-
If I go into City Center at the end of the matinee to meet the Moross grandchildren, I have a 3.6 hour wait until the evening performance. Rob has dinner plans already, so I will see if Joshie wants to have dinner between the shows.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I took half a Benedryl and slept 11 hours. Not sneezing now, thank goodness.
-
Happy Mother's Day, y'all.
-
Live Onstage Mules is the title of my next novel.
-

Gosh DR Danise, it is nice to have you back.
I am glad you have a new facebook friend and enjoyed the group of people.
-
I took half a Benedryl and slept 11 hours. Not sneezing now, thank goodness.
I am envious. I took a full Benadryl and slept until 2:30. Fortunately I did manage to sleep on and off until 6:30. There was a time a full Benadryl would knock me out for two days.

Wonderful!
-
I have a fitbit because Bryan gave it to me, so of course I have to use it ;)
-
Welcome home, Jack. Tons of moral support to you.
-
Welcome back, Danise. Glad to see you posting more.
-
Happy Mother's Day to all.
-
Lots of recovery vibes for DR JRand!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I've listened to both BK's 1994 and Bette Midler's recordings of Hello Dolly! I could listen to BK's forever. As to the new one, I wouldn't mind seeing it. but I doubt I'll play it again.
I don't particularly like David Chase's new dance arrangements as much as Peter Howard's original ones - especially the new Waiter's Galop" - and I feel everything on the new recording is pushed to a more hectic pace.
-
Happy Mother's Day ll. Thank you for the greetings
-
I received a package from the Vixter with a Boguet of handmade flowers with candy stems, a handmade card and a brooch and a fancy comb ( the type you wear in your hair , not the type you comb with)
-
Ushering for The Planets. Youth Symphony is playing.
-
Started listening to The Underground Railroad. Good start.
-
Have to turn this off in a minute.
-
No phones on while ushering.
-
But first ...
-
Three!
-
I'm up, I'm up - about eight-and-a-half hours of sleep with some of the weirdest dreams EVER, one after another.
-
FJL - yes, the authors kept it very quiet - a private reading for friends.
-
I'll have to get around to listening to the Bette one of these days. In the meantime, based on DR Elmore's eloquent reminder, I shall take out BK's tomorrow and have a really nice listen.
-
On the Big Speakers.
-
(Natch.)
-
Okay, break's over, back to work...
-
No one's free for dinner, so I will stay here and deal with Guys & Dolls scores. I'll head downtown around 5:30. stop in Joshie's office and drop off a score, then had backstage to pester everybody.
-
Hello Drs, I am back. I was previously known as Kate. Now I am using my formal name Catherine!!! My eternal gratitude to Bk for assisting me
-
Welcome back, DR Catherine (aka Kate, aka Cathy)!

Welcome back, DR Catherine (aka Kate, aka Cathy)!
Ditto!
-
It took a while, but Catherine (Kate) is back with us!
-
Had an hour-long chat with the lyricist of the musical I saw yesterday. She was very receptive and understanding of everything I said because we've worked together before and she knows it's never criticism and comes for a positive place.
-
Oh mothers - where in tarnation ARE you people?
-
Had some low-cal no-fat hot dogs for my meal o' the day - under 500 calories and am mighty full.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Listening to music, will now do some work on the Sherman Brothers show - in yet another tricky section - and then will watch a motion picture entertainment of some sort.
-
Well, Imust be off to my parents' house. My sister will meet there later this afternoon.
Be back later.
-
Welcome back, Catherine/Kate.
-
The concert wasn't The Planets after all. It was the youth chorus. They sang some fun songs and closed out after about 85 minutes with an oddly sanitized version of Rhythm of Life. Voices were good.
-
Got through the tricky section and have moved on to the next tricky section. The next scene takes place years later - he tells us that in stage direction but we, the audience, aren't told that. So, I'm trying to build in a montage of some sort - newspaper boys shouting headlines, or maybe projections of newspapers, something - that way the next set can get set up behind the scrim or drop we bring in.
-
One of my favorite movies, Marty was on TCM today!!! BK. Did you know Ernest Borgine?
-
Thanks to all for the vibes and comments.
It will be easier to be around when I get the staples and sutures out of me....
-
Happiest of Days to All the Mothers!
-
Thank you for the warm welcome back all!!!
-
Talked to my sister Linda today. She doesn't have the biopsy results yet but her doctor was fairly sure the mass he removed was merely infection not noticed since surgery she had in that area back in 2014.
She's still tired and sore.
-
Back home from a Cajun dinner.
-
Had some called Cajun nachos--red beans, sausage, crawfish and cheese over chips. Really good with a splash of Tabasco on top.
-
Let's move on...
-
Four!
-
Page four? Really?
-
I REMEMBER MAMA is on TCM tonight at 8:00PM.
-
Bk, when are you going to write another Kritxerland book?
-
Where is everyone???
-
Where is everyone???
I had to take a short nap.
-
I received a package from the Vixter with a Boguet of handmade flowers with candy stems, a handmade card and a brooch and a fancy comb ( the type you wear in your hair , not the type you comb with)
Nice gift package! I am looking forward to the photo of you holding your flowers and wearing your comb.
-
Good for you John, taking a nap!!! By the way I love your new pic with the snazzy glasses!!!
-
Welcome back DR Catherine aka Kate. It is nice to see you again :)
-
Thanks to all for the vibes and comments.
It will be easier to be around when I get the staples and sutures out of me....
I'm sure. I am extremely pleased you are able to post.

Wonderful news. Continued healing vibes for her.

I REMEMBER MAMA is on TCM tonight at 8:00PM.
A wonderful film. We watched it again not all that long ago. I have read the novel a few times as well.
-
Power went out and on again - second time in a week. Just completely shuts down then everything back up two seconds later, only it completely screws up everything to do with the computer and takes ten minutes to get it all back - booting up the computer and letting it find everything, including the router and modem. What a pain in the ass.
-
Good for you John, taking a nap!!! By the way I love your new pic with the snazzy glasses!!!
Thanks. I now wear them over my regular glasses when the sun's a'blazing.

My internet connection did that last week while I was trying to work. Pain in the ass is putting it mildly.
-
Trying to decide which flight to take to Louisville. Do I pay an extra $15 on Southwest to avoid the $25 baggage fee or take the lower price on Delta and pay the $25 fee? It's not just the price. Both have plane changes.
-
Thanks Jane for welcoming me back!!!
-
Re I REMEMBER MAMA DR JANE, I think I'll read the book someday!!!

You need a battery backup. I can't count how many times we were grateful to have one.
-
Starting to watch Marjorie Morningstar. Have I ever seen this? I don't know that I have.
-
We must get to page 5!!!
-
I am a big Andy Griffith show fan. I recently joined Andy after midnight forum for fans!!! Anyone. Else a fan???
-
Battery back-up for what, though? The big problem is the computer just snaps off - is there something you can buy and hook up that would prevent all the computer stuff from shutting down?
-
Finished with my viewing.

Haven't seen the show in years, but I always enjoyed it. And I love Andy in Destry Rides Again.
-
Hi JohnG, istjsy
Hi JohnG, Is that a movie that AG started in???
-
It was a Broadway musical.
-
Never knew Andy Griffith starred in a a Musical!!!
-
I need to get some sleep.
-
But first, let's move on ...
-
Five!
-
Page five? Really?
-
Good night, all.
-
Good evening
-
It was a fun day
-
After church I stopped st the grocery store to get a cake from the bakery and some fancy baby potatoes for today's dinner
-
Then I got things started , the turnips made and in the casserole dish, the potatoes cane out particularly well.. I bought a ham stock base at the restaurant supply store and put the potatoes in a casserole dish and then added 2 cups of prepared ham stock and then covered it and put it in the oven
The potatoes were amazing and didn't need any salt/pepper or butter
-
We drove over to my moms and put the ham and potatoes in the oven and then played a game while it cooked
-
Well good nite all and may God bless!!!
-
This is a game we won when we went to the convention in Tarrytown a few weeks ago.. It's really fun and easy to learn. You have to build little pyramids with these large marbles according to rules on 6 cards that are drawn.. And your and to beat the timer whic I think is about 60 seconds
-
It's called dimension
-
Welcome back Catherine|Kate
-
Then my brother came over , his wife stated home because she was unwell
-
We ate dinner , I cleaned up and then we had coffee and a lovely 7 layer chocolate cake
-
Cleaned up again , divide up the leftovers and headed home
-
The Vixter called to skype around. 10 so that was fun
-
And now it's bed time... Although my tummy is insisting it's snack time
-

I thought you meant the power in the house was going off and on causing the computer to shut off. A back up battery would help in this situation, sorry.

Vixmom, baby potatoes and ham stock? That was it? How long did they bake?
-
Continued healing vibes to DR Jrand.
-
Today was a nice day, weather-wise.
-
It was supposed to rain, but the rain missed us.
-
I was going to drive-through Panda Express, but I was too lazy.
-
So I went for canned chili.
-
Not exciting, but filling.
-
I am trying to write a review of a book I read recently. Unfortunately, I am not very articulate.
-
Next weekend is supposed to be sunny both days.
-
One more post.
-
Page Six
-
It is so quiet around here. No TVs or music playing. No one talking. Not even any cars going by.
-
Okay. Not completely quiet. Nicky is snoring and my stomach is growling.
-
I hope I can connect up with Danise one of these days. We haven't chatted in a hundred years.
-
I very rarely go to Facebook, unless I have a message from someone.
-

When I was in my high school show choir, we did the published choral version that had sanitized lyrics. It's probably the same version. There was also choreography that you could purchase for that version, which we actually did. ::)
