Well, you've read the notes, the notes did double duty, and now it is time for you to post until the double duty cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MEMORITER!
-
First post after BK!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday To Our DR Jeanne !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I had a doozy of a dream last night but I no longer remember it.
-
I have a meeting at noon with Joshie and Rob. Until then, I'll work on "I Could Have Danced All Night."
-
Good morning, all.
-
Long, long day today.
-
In addition to work, I'm trying to stabilize a bookcase that's tilting too much to the right (thanks to help from my friend Cecil) and I'm ushering for Garrison Keillor.
-
Happy birthday, DR Jeanne!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Doozy of a dream here, too. One of those that I sort of woke up from in the middle of the night but was still kind of in it. Oh, who knows. But it was a doozy, and was apparently so tiring that I still need sleep.
-
Which I'm not going to get. Because I'm up to get a few things done, then I'm heading into the city to see The Fantasticks. That will be highly enjoyable.
-
A VERY VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DR JEANNE!
-
Oh! I have news! News, people!
DR Elmore, I think it's safe for you to stop praying for my soul...for a while, anyway. Because...
Merrily We Roll Along is off the table. And no one could be happier than I.

What happened? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
-
We couldn't cast it.
Literally, the people did not come out for it. In spite of all the excited talk all these months about it being on everyone's bucket list.
-
The reason I'm relieved is that I'd come to the conclusion this small theater didn't have the space and resources for portraying the score properly, and I'm happy not to spend my time and energy on a compromised one.
-
You might laugh (or smile) when I tell you what's going up in its place.
I Do! I Do!
-
Good morning to all

It's nice to know they got all the cancer, Jack. I think the chemo is the best plan to prevent further outbreaks until they are sure it won't recur. Hang in there.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
I shall now be on my way to rehearsal one.

Hello All!!!

TOD:
BK, When will you write another KRITZERLAND ???
-
A very happy and blessed Birthday to DR Jeanne!! !
-
In addition to work, I'm trying to stabilize a bookcase that's tilting too much to the right (thanks to help from my friend Cecil) and I'm ushering for Garrison Keillor.
Cool! Garrison Keillor was here in Olympia last month and it was a great evening. He stood on the stage for a about two and a half hours and just spoke and told stories and sang and everyone loved it!
-
The reason I'm relieved is that I'd come to the conclusion this small theater didn't have the space and resources for portraying the score properly, and I'm happy not to spend my time and energy on a compromised one.
That's a good reason to be happy about it not happening.

BK, When will you write another KRITZERLAND ???
Actually, Catherine, he did. The Benjamin Kritzer books are fictionalized accounts of BK's life growing up, but he continued the stories in his two autobiographies, There's Mel, There's Woody, and There's You (http://www.kritzerland.com/melwoodu.htm) and Album Produced By... (http://www.kritzerland.com/albumProducedBy.htm). If you want to know what happened to Benjamin, read those. :)
-
Both are HIGHLY recommended!

Gratuitous Post #50!!

What is it like to work something you've done before in a different setting, like "Elisa"?

Lo! I see one guest.

We do not know you.
We would like to know you, though.

Very good point, DR George. I hadn't thought about it that way, but it's quite true.

Happy Birthday, Jeanne.
Thank you, Laura.

I got a gold star on my cholesterol report this morning.
Very good! To what do you attribute it? Diet? Medication?
-
DR Jeanne & Bruce, Keith picked up some SimbuActin today. I hope it helps. Our allergies are bad again since returning home.
Jane, do you mean Sambucol? I don't know if it'll work for allergies, but it sure helps my sinuses and it's great for colds and flu. Sorry your allergies are bothering you. Airplanes do expose you to a lot of bad air.
Vibes you both feel better soon.
-
Cough-begone vibes to DR Ginny!
(and anyone else needing them)
-
continued mega vibes to JRand!
-
I had a haircut earlier, then stopped at my favorite food store. They had those yummy almond croissants today and a few other favorites.
-
I need to return a few phone calls.
TTFN.
-
Happy Birthday, DR Jeanne!
-
DR TCB--to answer your question from yesterday. I don't think Barbra will be doing any more concerts in the near future. She said in a recent interview that the two concerts in NY would be the end of her current tour and wouldn't be touring again, though she would do something once in a while (I'm thinking fundraisers). I hope she changes her mind!
-
Wednesday morning greetings! Still in a rut and still coughing...
No cough vibes for DR Ginny!
-
Great news, DR Laura!
-
Back from NYC and The Fantasticks, which was just what the doctor ordered. A total delight.

Yes, however the brand he purchased named it SimbuActin. Well, it is my sinuses that are mostly bothering me and I believe it is allergy related.
I should have said our allergies are worse as we are not suffering with them like DRs Ginny, John, and I can't recall who else is truly suffering. We aren't happy though ;)
-

Treats on your birthday, sounds like a nice day to me.
-
Happy Birthday DR JEANNE! And thanks for the continued vibes.
-
Thanks the DR CATHERINE, DR ELMORE, DR JOHN G, DR CHAS SMITH and all other Dear Readers for their vibes.
DR VIXMOM of course I would be pleased to be on the prayer list, just check with the Missouri Synod.
-
It's wonderful to read about MR BK's directing adventures.....two at once....since I don't have ANY this summer.....it is much missed.....
-
Keith just told me there is a local allergy warning. I didn't need him to tell me what my eyes and lungs already know ;D
-
Thanks the DR CATHERINE, DR ELMORE, DR JOHN G, DR CHAS SMITH and all other Dear Readers for their vibes.
DR VIXMOM of course I would be pleased to be on the prayer list, just check with the Missouri Synod.
LOL. We're ELCA so if you don't mind having a woman Pastor praying on your behalf.... :)
-
Another chiropractor appointment this evening. I am feeling much better
-
Then Vixdad arrived home earlier than expected and offered to take me to the Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We called ahead and were told to come right down
-
When we arrived we were shown right to a table and were surprised by a friend of The Vixter (actually the guy with which she shared her high school graduation party they have been friends since kindergarten)
It turns out that he now works there
-
And the meal was lovely
-
Jane would have hated it
-
I have found sambucol effective for allergies
-
Another chiropractor appointment this evening. I am feeling much better
That's great, Vixmom!
-
And the meal was lovely
Nice.
-
Well, I've finished the monthly invoicing reports, so now I get to go home...finally!
Be back later.
-
Has anyone else seen the Tom ford BlCk Orchich commercial?
-
Happy Birthday, DR Jeanne!
Thank you, Kevin.
-
Happy Birthday DR JEANNE! And thanks for the continued vibes.
Thank you, Jack. And you're welcome.
-
Another chiropractor appointment this evening. I am feeling much better
Glad to hear it.
-
I have found sambucol effective for allergies
Good to hear this. All the studies that I know of were for colds and flu, but I do know it helps my sinuses--even without any studies.
-
Has anyone else seen the Tom ford BlCk Orchich commercial?
Not me.

Ah, SambuActin is an herbal form of elderberry. The Amazon reviews were quite impressive. Hope it works for you, too.
-
I guess it's supposed to be sexy but it looks more like she has a bad case of indigestion
-
And she's nekkid
-
And then inexplicedly she is surrounded by a cloud of black smoke
-
It did not inspire me to run out and buy it
-
I just watched the first episode of a British series called QUIRKE. It was quite good. It's an adaptation of the Benjamin Black novel, CHRISTINE FALLS.
-

I'm sure it was. Good crowd?

I liked the two or three Black novels I read. I look forward to that one.

I'm the Missouri Synod Lutheran.
-
What's the difference between the two?
-
There's also an apple gate commercial that just ran where a half naked ( but well built ) man dressed as a cow with a German accent and lovely blue eyes is standing behind the deli counter and having a nonconversation with a shopper , then he flexes his pecs
-
For some reason this is supposed to inspire me to buy applegate cold cuts
-
I guess I'm not smart enough to "get" these commercials

Heretic
-
:D :D
-
Garrison Keillor's show was one for the ages. He was supposed to perform for 90 minutes, then do a meet-and-greet. Instead, he was on for 2.5 hours and despite being 74, he didn't seem tired. He gave what he called a standing intermission. He made everyone stand up and led a song-along. It was supposed to be for 10 minutes, while those who needed to could go to the restroom, but it lasted a half hour because he fell in love with the acoustics of the place. We sang everything from Battle Hymn of the Republic to How Great Thou Art to Silent Night to Red River Valley.
Apparently his grandson died this week. I think the performance was therapy for him.
-
Actually I guess I'm the heretic, with our acceptance of ordination of the divorced, the gay and the (shudder) female
-
There were many Lutheran jokes, Vixmom.

I would have loved to see that show. The closest I have come I seeing him on the subway once, he got on as I got off and it want until after the doors closed and I turned around to,look I realized who it was
-
I am sorry to hear he lost his grandson
-
There were many Lutheran jokes, Vixmom.
I am sure! We have a series of Lake Woebegone stories ( they are on cassette tape so you can imagine how long we've had them )
One if the best stories is The 24 Lutheran ministers on Wally's pontoon boat
I challenge anyone to hear it without falling into spasms of laughter
-
I have found sambucol effective for allergies
It was very tart.
-
Well it's going onto 1 in the am.

Nighty night

Excellent.

That is sad.

Sounds almost exactly what he did here in Olympia...and his "intermission" was about a half hour, also. :D

I'm so sorry about the loss of his grandson. :(
-
Finally back from a very long day, and a bit of double drama - one for each show - trying to nip all that in the bud.
-
Good evening!
-
Just in time!

Hi, Tom.
-
Hi, George.
-
I'm watching a repeat episode of "Antiques Roadshow," originally broadcast in 2015.
-
Just had to share.
-
I wish I had an antique or two, but the only relic I have is my face.
-
I wish I had an antique or two, but the only relic I have is my face.
And a fine face it is.
-
Thanks. I hope so, it is the only one I have.
-
Thanks. I hope so, it is the only one I have.
Sadly, too many people try to "improve" their faces, and it doesn't always work. ::)
-
Such as Meg Ryan and Barry Manilow.
-
My friend, Martin, and I were just having that discussion about an hour ago.
-
200 days, 11 hours, and 15 minutes.

Such as Meg Ryan and Barry Manilow.
You got that right. And Paul Simon is on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and he kind of looks like he's had a little work done that didn't quite work. :-\

200 days, 11 hours, and 15 minutes.
276 days, 50 minutes. :)
