Well, you've read the notes, the notes had ecstasy, and now it is time for you to post until the ecstatic cows come home.

And a very happy birthday to Arnold M. Brockman, who doesn't hang around these here parts much anymore - another one lost to Facebook for reasons that baffle me continually.

Today is going to be a day.  At noon, I'll go to Tacoma to pick up my new (to me) Kindle that I bought through an app called OfferUp.

My friend David, who told me about the app, invited me to meet him and his wife for lunch at the Seattle Flight Museum, but I don't think I'll go.  My family is getting together for our weekly family meal this afternoon because we didn't get together on Friday, the day we usually meet.

Good morning all!

Thanks for the good advise, DR George  I may just run out and get one of those phones today--if I decide to go forward with this thing.

I don't know.  I feel like I'm in a meat market--it doesn't seem real.  I read something about having a professional write your "Pitch" to attract more interest.  This isn't a job and I don't want a resume. If the guy doesn't like me for what I--not some pro-- writes then we aren't going to get along anyway.  Will I need to take a coach with me if we decide to meet?  Will he?  Am I reading what someone really said or is it a "Pitch" written by a 3rd party?  I'm having serious 2nd thoughts at this point.

Anyway, everyone have a wonder filled day.

I think Georges idea about a second phone is wise,   I would also suggest that you  meet at a public place the first few times

With that being said my brother met his wife on one of those sites

Grilled New York strip steaks from Costco tonight. That meat is just spectacular. Hadn't done that in ages and it just put a smile on everyone's face.

A baby has been born on A Place to Call Home. I may get to watch two episodes tonight. Moving steadily toward the conclusion of this season.

This afternoon we saw a local theater's production of "Beehive."

I did not need to remove a cell phone from the person next to me; she actually slept through the whole show.

It was very loud; I don't know how she managed to do that.

That's a revue I really enjoy. I saw it back in the day with Carolee Carmello in it.

Jumping around, composer-wise.  First another Simon Rattle Sibelius - despite the rhapsodic "reviews" as I feared it's pretty much, for me, one big bore from start to finish - definitely in the sale pile.  But for every complete Sibelius symphonies there are at least a few "reviewers" for whom it is THE BEST.

Then the Mahler 9th with Karel Ancerl conducting.  After hearing Mr. Ancerl's Shostakovich 1, 5, and 10 I knew I'd found a conductor I absolutely loved - brilliant performances in stunning sound from the Supraphon label.  I have the Ancerl Shostakovich 7 on the way and I can't imagine I won't love it.  His Mahler 9th was every bit as good if not better than Bernstein - wonderful sound, fantastic conducting, a great band - just loved it.

Then I felt like hearing the Khachaturian Violin Concerto, which always makes me happy.  I followed that with Karel Ancerl's Stravinsky Violin Concerto - don't think I'd heard it before, and again the conducting and sound were brilliant and the piece is absolutely delightful.

Then I moved back to Shostakovich - this time The Limpid Stream ballet music - wonderful stuff.  I also have The Bolt and The Golden Age complete ballets, too, and am looking forward to them very much.  I've almost caught up on getting everything into iTunes.

After I registered it to my account, an "Archived Items" folder appeared on the Kindle with what looks like a list of every title I ever bought through Amazon or checked out from the library through OverDrive.  Most of them are from the library, so I can't just redownload them again.  But I can redownload any that I've actually purchased.

Home from City Center with "The Lusty Month of May" to score today.  Back with Joshie in the AM.

Sadly, my May wasn't that lusty.

And who is to blame for that?

He spent the entire dinnet (loudly) talking about his ex and how she had done him wrong leaving him for a friend of his because his friend "made more money"  on and on and on for an hour.  She said maybe 2 words the whole time.  Uh huh and oh

That is just SO wrong!  How could anyone be so clueless??

Watching "My Big Fat Greek Wedding, 2."  It's kind of slow-moving so far.

I loved the first one.  I haven't seen the second one...yet.

Cool!  That's one of my favorite songs from the show.

Listened to the Bruno Walter Mahler 9th - also excellent.  Then moved onto the three CD set of Shostakovich concertos - various conductors and soloists in superb sound and the concertos themselves are fantastic.

My friend Margo and I are going to the movies.  We haven't decided which or when, though.  The depending on the time, I might go back to my parents' house for more foodstuffs.
