Well, you've read the notes, the notes were crazy but fun, and now it is time for you to post until the crazy but fun cows come home.

And the word of the day is: PRELAPSARIAN!

First post after BK!

George, NO musicals??
Any good solo artists, i. e. Johnny Mathis, Audra McDonald, Bernadette Peters?

George, NO musicals??
Any good solo artists, i. e. Johnny Mathis, Audra McDonald, Bernadette Peters?
Roseanne Cash is the only soloist that I can remember. Ladysmith Black Mambazo and a few other musical groups will be coming...most I hadn't heard of, but sounded very interesting.

Tacoma is getting Michael Feinstein and Lilly Tomlin.

And CABARET..... again!

Have you ever seen the Seattle Men's Chorus?

Tacoma is getting Michael Feinstein and Lilly Tomlin.
She's performed at the Washington Center before. If you can see her, go!
-
Have you ever seen the Seattle Men's Chorus?
Oh...the Seattle Men's and Women's Choruses are going to perform together at The Center!
-
Good night, George.
-
Otherwise, I have never seen the Men's Chorus live before. I've seen the Women's Chorus in performance with Chely Wright in Seattle.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Good morning, all!

This is my last day at the Miami U library, and I hope I can get through the remainder of the cartons and finish by 1:00. When I get back to Middletown, I'd like to visit my parents' graves and stop to say hello at a few other graves as well. I usually bring flowers, but I doubt that will happen this trip.

Last night I dreamed that I was helping Steve Sondheim with a book. I was typing things from a previous edition and we were suddenly on a bus. The people boarding the bus were screwing up my typing and ability to reach the keyboard. Steve was no longer there, and I had to make a correction before submitting the thing I was typing. I hate crowded buses.

TCB, to answer your question on Sunset Boulevard, they didn't nominate it or the revival of Cats because they don't like Sir Andrew. They could have nominated five new musicals this year, and they had a slew to choose from, but they only chose four. They're petty.

Today is the last of our perfect (by meteorological definition) little three-day heat wave.

Today I'm back to the olde Italian folk songs (we rehearse this weekend), and tonight is movie night in my friend's home theater. No idea what we're going to watch.

Actually they have only nominate a maxium of 4 shows (never 5) and a lot of times only 3 shows since the 90's. One time only 2 shows.

Oy and vey - I have slept one hour - woke up at four feeling sick to my stomach - one of the donut things must have been bad, that's all I can think of, and I was hoping I could just tough it out but man, that is becoming very difficult. My throat is burning, I can't breathe deeply, and maybe it would be best if I just threw up - but we'll see if that happens or not.

Last night, Randy and I watched Breakfast At Tiffany's. It was my first time since 1962 or so, and he had never seen it. We liked it.

Tonight I pack. Much as I look forward to being home, I'm a bit melancholy about leaving. There are friends and a few lovers I cannot track down. I worry about how they are and where they are. i do not like loose ends, and I'd like to know they are well. Or alive. Or dead.

I guess many folks here are glued to their TVs to watch Jefferson Beauregard Sessions mush-mouth and "aw, shucks" his way through interrogations.

This is from our ticket site (https://www.artful.ly/store/events/11935):
It’s 1956, and the members of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are setting up for their much anticipated, annual quiche breakfast. When nuclear disaster wipes out the world outside their community center, the bombs continue to drop inside. A sassy, satirical romp, replete with audience interaction, improv, singing, kissing, crying, and of course, quiche.

Back from rehearsal - more in the notes. Don't know why I'm home quite so late - irritating. Should have been home an hour ago. And I have a ton of broken sprinklers and someone's coming at nine to attend to them - these are broken by these idiots doing the construction work - they plow over everything.

And that is a true event (not fake news). It happened to me.
Oh, my! Whose Tony did you get to see?
It belonged to Ken Marsolais who was one of the producers of SHADOW BOX. I had gone to Auburn to pick up Colleen Dewhurst to take her to the airport. I knew that she was staying with the parents of her male friend, but I didn't know who he was. Nor, did I know that his parents were keeping their son's Tony Award in Auburn, Washington.
